"Hey, that is not fair!"

"That was a totally fair move!"

"It's just a plus four, Lily..."

"No, but he deliberately did that cause-"

Azalea Edwards (soon to be Potter) shook her head and laughed as she looked around at the group around her.

It had been ten years since she'd graduated from Hogwarts, and in that time, she'd worked up her ranks in the Holyhead Harpies and was now their star chaser, people wanting autographs everywhere they went.

James was just her auror boyfriend, but for once he didn't care that no attention was on him, and came to every game to watch her, cheering wildly.

He'd proposed at one of her games, flying onto the pitch himself with the ring and giving a speech that only she could hear before getting down on one knee and asking her to be his wife. She'd instantly accepted, not a doubt in her mind, and kissed him in front of everyone.

What can she say? Their first kiss was in front of a crowd of people, it was only fitting that their first kiss as an engaged couple was in front of one, too.

That had been six months ago, near summer. Now, it was a cold Christmas night, and the Potters and the Edwards' had gathered for a game night. Alice, Fred and Louis had all been invited, as well, but were busy.

So it was just them. Azalea and James, Annabelle and Christopher, who had made a full recovery since his accident ten years ago. Albus and Ellie, who was five months pregnant, were there, along with Lily and her steady boyfriend, who was a muggle. Daisy and her husband had also joined them, and they were also expecting (she was seven months along), as well as Harry and Ginny, who were the funniest couple to play games with, because of how competitive they were.

Azalea giggled as she watched Lily and James fight over an uno plus four, admiring the emerald ring on her hand. He'd known she'd wanted an emerald before she'd even said it, and for that, she'd be forever thankful.

Looking back on it, competing in the Triwizard Tournament at seventeen had been the best achievement of her life, and now she was older, she was so thankful for all it had brought her.

She and James had talked about having kids, of course. And they couldn't wait to be the aunt and uncle to both Albus and Daisy's children, but they both knew they weren't ready yet.

But they were going to get married, and they knew they were ready for that.

And looking around her, she realised that everyone was where they were meant to be. Everyone around her was happy. There was no jealousy, no anger and no resentment. They were all at peace.

"Lea! Come on, it's your turn and I need you to get James for me!"

Azalea laughed at Lily's statement, joining back in the game.

But she couldn't help but think that maybe James was right. Maybe he'd been right all along.

Maybe all was fair in love and war, after all.
