"Jia, please don't tell me you're one of those girls that can't decide on anything."

Taehyung glares at me as I'm studying the menu in the coffee shop we've been going to for the past two weeks, his warm clothes making him impatient.

Autumn has hit Daegu, the cold breeze making us crave for something warm. My fingers are placed in front of my mouth, my brows deeply furrowed as my gaze shifts from one thing to another. Caramel macchiato? Iced americano? Yoongi likes iced americano. . .

"Jia!"

I flinch, as Taehyung pulls me out of my thoughts, his hand tugging at my sleeve gently. I turn and look at him, his brows high on his forehead, with a small smile softening his features.

"I'm sorry Tae— I'll take an macchiato. To go, right?"

"Right. We'll go to the park."

He nods, before he walks to the register, making the younger girl there flustered with his infectious smile. She giggles, her hands tugging at her hair at all times as her eyes glistens looking at the handsome boy.

I can't help to supervise the entire situation, noticing that Taehyung has no clue about his effect on her — poor girl.

"Okay, have a nice day, yeah?" He finishes, before turning around, focused on not to drop the freshly brewed coffees, his boxy-smile reaching his eyes, as he passes by me and out in the chilly streets of Daegu.

Entering the park, a slight breeze rustles the leaves making them fall to the solid ground one by one, their orange and brown colors painting the paths scattered all over the park.

The air is cold, but beams of sunlight are glowing on Taehyungs skin, his perfect features in full highlight.

The colorful swings fully occupied by little humans with smiles from ear to ear, whom Taehyung watch with a smile plastered on his face.

Taehyung runs to a nearby bench, plopping himself down, before taking off the lid on his coffee, the coffee steaming in the cool surroundings. He blows it carefully, his eyes darting in my direction as he pats the seat next to him.

I smile, putting my own warm drink between my hands as I sit down, staring out in the fading green tones that are left in the park.

"How do you like it here, Jia? In Daegu?" Taehyungs soft voice fills the silence, his eyes slowly blinking as he looks at me.

I swallow fast, before licking my lips.

"I like it. A lot. It's different from Seoul. But I'm getting used to it. . ." I say, my eyes still focusing on the children in the distance, their laughter reaching us by the cold wind.

Taehyung hums, a closed-up smile filling his pink lips. His nose-tip is a light red matching his red cheeks as well.

He looks adorable.

"But— why aren't your parents here?" He questions, my eyes closing in panic for a swift moment.

Taehyung sips his coffee again, his black gloves cupping the liquid with utter attention.

"They— uh— I only have my mother and sister. They're out of town. My dad he— he passed away a few years ago."
An honest answer leaving my mouth for once.

I glance down in my steaming cup, the damp warming up my cold nose.

Taehyung lips part and swallows thickly. He hesitates at first, but his hand covered in the black glove reaches my thigh and give it a gentle squeeze.

"I'm sorry Jia, I didn't know." He trails off, his voice muffled as his eyes show the gentle kind of concern, the kind my father also had in his eyes.

It somehow soothes me.

He leave his hand there and speak with such a soft voice that I feel his words calming me more by the way they are said than the actual words — it feels as if I'm wrapped in a warm blanket of his caring.

I grab his hand and clutch it in my own, a smile forming on my lips.

"I know. No need to worry." I try in a more positive tone.

I don't want him to hold back regarding anything. He has become such a good friend to me, and I don't want to hide anything from him.

Almost anything.

"So. . ." Taehyung retreats his hand, to ruffle his dark-brown hair, "I've thought about giving the audition a go when they come to Daegu. Just like you told me to."

I sigh out in relief.

BigHit had announced they were coming to Daegu to scout for trainees amongst young males, and surprisingly Taehyung hadn't even considered.
I had been keeping my mouth shut about it, figuring he would eventually mention it himself. I didn't want to mess with the past by bringing in my own ideas.

But he didn't mention it himself. So eventually I spoke up, trying to persuade him into auditioning.

"I'm so glad! When is it?" My cheeks start hurting from smiling so wide, and Taehyung notices as he pinches one of them with his finger and chuckle.

"In a few days — I'm so nervous. Uh— would you mind listening to me sing? Like right now?"
He swallows, his ears turning pink in embarrassment.

My smile never fades and  I lift my brows in amusement.

"Let's hear it mr. Kim!" I yell out, clapping my hands as I lie down on the bench, placing my legs on top of his.

He chuckles, shaking his head at me as he fiddles with my trousers.
He takes in a deep breath before closing his eyes and focus on his singing only.

His voice is smooth and clear — quiet yet powerful. His low tone comforting, soothing in a way. It's rare that a guy's voice is called beautiful, but his was. It was beautiful and I wished that he would never stop. Every tone of his was passionate, and he told a story by the song he had chosen. The soft tunes leaving his lips makes my chest warm, staring upon the young male who's in his own world.

— "I could make you happy, make your dreams come true
There's nothing that I wouldn't do
Go to the ends of this Earth for you
To make you feel my love, oh yes
To make you feel my love" —

Without noticing a single tear escapes the brim of my eye, rolling down my cheek as I watch him in awe.

He breathes out, opening his eyes once more, turning his head to me. I quickly wipe away the tear on my cheek, my smile reaching both of my ears.

"Taehyung, that was beautiful."
I sniffle out, staring at the flustered boy next to me.

I sit up, leaning back on the bench, my head tilted towards the blue sky.

Taehyung grins wide, doing the same thing.

"You really think so?"

I turn my head and meet his dark-brown eyes, the mole on his waterline catching my eye.
His voice is questioning, his eyes unsure.

I look back to the sky, watching the birds up high in the sky, their bodies soaring across the blue-painted background. They swiftly glide through the calm breeze, showing that their wings will keep them balanced forever.

I breathe out, a small smile on my lips before closing my eyes and speak.

"Even the sky isn't the limit to where you're going with your voice Taehyung. Trust me."
