Evangeline stood outside of the Weasley home with Remus stood beside her. She stared at the building with many floors, wide eyed and afraid. Her hands were wringing together nervously. Remus watched the girl, his amusement growing with each passing minute.
The two had apparated to the Weasley home a few minutes prior after Evangeline had said her goodbyes. And now they stood several feet away from the home, that Ron called the Burrow, with Evangeline rooted in her spot. "You're going to have to go up to the door at some point," Remus said. Evangeline turned to face him, her eyes still wide. "Let's go home. We can tell Ronald that I'm too sick to travel," she said.
Remus chuckled heartily, "I thought you wanted to come here." Evangeline was shaking her head furiously. "No. I didn't. I absolutely did not want to come," she answered. "Nervous to meet the parents?" He questioned, though he already knew the answer. She nodded her head and he smiled. "Well, I assure you that there is nothing to be nervous about. The Weasleys are good people. Very nice and welcoming," he said.
Evangeline didn't look convinced and he sighed. "You'll be fine," he promised. "I'm not too sure about that," she replied, her eyes now back to staring at the home. The upper layers of the home did not look to be stable. In fact, it looked like an accident waiting to happen. But Evangeline figured that if anything, it was being held up by magic. Remus rolled his eyes, grabbing onto Evangeline's trunk and one of her bags and making his way to the front door.
"What are you doing?" Evangeline hissed. "Ripping off the bandaid as the Muggles would say," he replied. Evangeline ran after him, trying to get him to stop. They were now stood in front of the door. "Everything is going to be okay, I promise. Now, have fun, eat well, and just relax," Remus said, his hands holding onto her shoulders. He pulled her into him, wrapping his arms around her. She hugged him back, squeezing him tightly.
He placed a kiss on her head and pulled away, sending her a smile. He turned to the door and knocked three times before turning back to her. "One more thing, do not have sex with the Weasley boy. You're too young for that," Remus said. Evangeline's eyes widened again, her mouth opening and closing as she tried to figure out how to respond. Remus laughed at her reaction.
"I'm only kidding," he said and Evangeline sighed. "No I'm not. Bye," he said, quickly apparating before she could respond. Evangeline turned back to the door as it was pulled open. In front of her stood Ginny, whose smile was bright and wide. "Evangeline!" She squealed, throwing her arms around the girl. Evangeline hugged her back, relaxing slightly.
Ginny pulled away and turned into the house. "Evangeline's here!" She yelled. Immediately after the words left her mouth, Fred and George had appeared out of nowhere causing Evangeline to jump. "Hey snakey," Fred said. "Long time no see," George added. Evangeline rolled her eyes at the stupid nickname before smiling. The two individually gave her a hug before going to bring her things into the home.
Ginny grabbed Evangeline's hand and pulled her inside. Evangeline looked around the home and smiled. It was nice, in her opinion. It was a little cramped and crowded but also very homey. It radiated warmth and happiness and Evangeline found herself relaxing further. Ginny led her to the living room and pushed her onto a couch.
An unfamiliar man, whom Evangeline assumed to be Arthur Weasley, entered the room. He sent Evangeline a smile and she stood, her nerves coming back. "You must be Evangeline. My kids have told me a lot about you," Arthur said, holding out his hand for her to shake. "All good things I hope," Evangeline replied, taking his hand and shaking it. He laughed, "Of course."
Behind him, the twins held up one hand each, moving it in a way that meant, 'so so'. Evangeline gave them a look before giving the man a smile. "It's great to finally meet you," Arthur continued. "You too, sir," Evangeline replied. Just then, a woman entered the living room. An apron was around her waist and a warm smile had overtaken her features. This must have been Molly Weasley.
"Evangeline dear. I can't believe you're here," the woman said, instantly pulling Evangeline into a hug. The youngest Caspian girl was surprised, awkwardly hugging the woman back. Molly pulled away from the hug. "I'm Molly Weasley and you are even more beautiful than Ron said that you were," she said. A light blush made its way onto Evangeline's cheeks.
"Thanks," she said. Molly's smile never fell as she placed her hands on Evangeline's shoulders. "How was your trip here? Have any troubles?" She asked. Evangeline shook her head, "No, no troubles. It was good, thanks for asking." Molly nodded before looking as though she realized something. "Oh, you must be hungry. Are you hungry, dear?" She said.
"No, uh, I already ate," Evangeline replied. "Good good, all right. I was just getting ready to make lunch, if you want anything, anything at all, just let me know," the woman said. Evangeline nodded and smiled, "Thank you." Molly waved a hand, "Don't thank me. It's my pleasure." Molly then turned to look around. "Where's Ron?" She asked. "Ron!" She then yelled.
"He is so excited to see you," Molly said. "Excited is an understatement. He wouldn't stop talking about you," Ginny said, rolling her eyes. "It was annoying," George said. "Unbearable," Fred added. "You sure made an impression on him," Arthur commented. "And I just had to meet you," Molly added. Evangeline's face had tinted a darker shade of pink. She turned to look at Molly.
"I don't think I ever got to thank you for the gifts that you sent on Christmas," she said. Molly waved a hand dismissively again. "I was happy to do it," she said. "Well, Vivian and I really appreciated it. Thank you," Evangeline said. Molly nodded, "You're welcome." She then looked to the stairs again. She moved away from Evangeline.
"Where is that boy? Ron!" Molly called again. "I'm coming!" He replied. Someone began bounding down the stairs. Evangeline's heart rate picked up, her nerves returning. She hadn't seen the boy in months and didn't know what to expect. When he came into her view, she relaxed. He looked the same, for the most part. He was a little taller, his hair a little longer and he looked a lot more masculine. But his hair was still red and messy and his eyes were still blue.
She smiled when she saw him. When he had caught sight of her, he froze in his spot. His eyes scanned her body, noting any differences in her appearance. Her smile widened, a smile immediately coming to his face. Evangeline rushed over to him, practically jumping into his arms as she embraced him. He caught her body, wrapping his own arms around her and pulling he close.
Evangeline had forgotten about the others in the room, the only thing that she was thinking about was the boy that she was hugging. She breathed in his scent, her smile widening. He held her for a few more moments before pulling away. She looked up at him, her smile never leaving. "Hi," she whispered. His own grin softened into a smile, "Hey." Molly was beaming at the two from where she was standing.
"Well, I'm sure that Evangeline is tired from her journey here. Ron, why don't you show her to her room," Molly said. Ron nodded, "Right, of course." He took her hand in his, intertwining their fingers together before leading her up the stairs. "Oh to be young and in love," Arthur said.
Evangeline squeezed Ron's hand as he led her to her room. When they had arrived to said room, he opened the door and brought her inside. Her things were sat on the floor in front of the bed. She looked around the room. There wasn't much in it. Just a bed, desk, and dresser. She didn't mind though. She thought the room was nice.
Ron watched her as her eyes roamed the room. She turned to him and he was too slow to turn away before she caught him staring. "You have a nice house," she complimented, releasing his hand and going to sit on the bed. His cheeks tinted pink. "Really?" He asked and she nodded. "Yeah, it's brilliant. Really nice and homey. Your parents are nice too," she said. Ron smiled, "I told you that they weren't bad. I don't know why you were nervous."
"Didn't I say that I would slap you if you brought up my nervousness about meeting your parents?" She asked, tilting her head to the side. "Yeah but you weren't serious. Were you?" He replied and she shrugged. "I don't know. Why don't you come over here and find out," she responded. He shook his head, "I think I'll stay over here." Evangeline rolled her eyes.
Her hands rubbed the fabric of the comforter on the bed. It was soft to the touch. She had never felt anything so soft. Ron took the chance at sitting next to her on the bed, bracing himself in case Evangeline did decide to slap him. She turned to look at him, her smile returning and he relaxed.
Evangeline leaned into him, pressing a chaste kiss on his lips. Ron pouted slightly. "I haven't seen you in almost three months and that's all I get?" He questioned and she rolled her eyes. "Don't whine. It's highly unattractive," she said. This time he rolled his eyes. She smirked slightly, bring her right hand up to cup his cheek. She leaned in again, pressing another kiss to his lips. This one was longer than the first.
Their lips moved together softly, though the kiss itself was tender. Ron's hand came up to her head, his fingers tangling into her hair. He pulled her closer to him whilst his other hand snaked around her waist. Her left hand moved up to his other cheek, slowly sliding up to the nape of his neck. Her fingers softly pulled on the hair at the base of his head.
The kiss had quickly shifted and their lips moved faster against one another's. His tongue slipped into her mouth and Evangeline was shocked. But her own tongue managed to find itself in his mouth as well. Evangeline wondered if this would classify as snogging and just the mere thought of it sent an amused smile to her lips. She then pulled away as she began laughing. She quickly tried to regain her breathing, though the laughs never stopped. Ron frowned slightly, his eyebrows knitting together in confusion.
"W-what? Am I, was I that bad?" He asked, his cheeks beginning to heat up in embarrassment. Evangeline's laughter died down and she shook her head. "No. I was just thinking about something. I thought it was funny. Sorry, your kissing was very good," she assured. The frown remained on his face and she sighed, leaning in to press a delicate kiss onto his lips. He looked at her with that look she was still having trouble deciphering. The one that sent butterflies through her stomach and her heart pounding into oblivion.
"So, how has your summer been?" She asked, breaking their gaze and laying back on the bed. Her legs dangled off the side of the bed and she swung them slightly. Ron laid back as well, the two looking up at the ceiling. "Good, I guess. Nothing too crazy or interesting. It's a lot better now that you're here," he answered. She grinned, a blush already forming on her face. She hated the fact that he made her blush.
"What about you? How have things been with Remus and Tonks?" He questioned. Evangeline's grin softened to a smile. "Really good. They've been so kind to Vivian and me. Remus has been telling us things about our parents. What they were like and different stories. It's been really great," she answered. He smiled, the sight of her happiness making him happy. "How is Vivian doing, by the way?" He asked next.
Evangeline rolled her eyes. "She's as annoying as ever but, what else is new? She's going to Italy for the rest of the summer. I assume she's already there. She's also been really nosy and keeps trying to pry into our relationship. It's driving me crazy," she answered. Ron nodded in understanding. "I know how you feel, mum has been asking all sorts of questions. And Fred and George have been teasing me about us. Not that I minded the teasing," he said.
Evangeline turned onto her side, propping her head into her hand and looking at him. Ron turned to the side too, propping his head into his hand as well. "I missed you," he admitted. She smiled softly. "I missed you too. You and your stupid jokes," she replied. "Hey, my jokes are not stupid," he defended. "Oh please, they are totally stupid," she said. Ron's eyes narrowed playfully, "You take that back."
Evangeline shook her head defiantly, "I will do no such thing." Ron sat up in the bed and shrugged. "Suit yourself," he said. He then started attacking her sides with his fingers, tickling her as though his life depended on it. Evangeline immediately began laughing, squirming around and trying to move away from him. "S-stop!" She exclaimed.
It was his turn to shake his head defiantly, continuing to tickle her. Evangeline howled with laughter, continuing to squirm on the bed. Ron was laughing now too, enjoying every second of it. "S-stop. I-I c-can't take it," she said in between gasps and giggles. "Say that my jokes aren't stupid," he said. She shook her head 'no' so he didn't stop.
She continued laughing, trying to breathe as she did so. A knock sounded on the open door and Ron stopped, turning to the door. Evangeline became relieved, trying to get her breathing under control. She sat up on her elbows, looking at the door as well. Ginny stood in the doorway, an amused smile on her lips. "Mum says lunch is ready," the girl said. Ron nodded, "All right, thanks."
Ginny remained in the doorway, her smile remaining. "What did I just walk in on?" She asked with a giggle. "Just your brother attacking me," Evangeline answered when she finally caught her breath. "I was not attacking you," Ron denied and Evangeline shot him a look. Ginny looked between the two. "You guys are cute." And with that, the youngest Weasley left the two alone.
Ron turned back to Evangeline. He placed a quick kiss on her lips and she smiled. "This isn't over," he whispered. She sent him a glare as he stood up from the bed. He walked to the door and left the room. Evangeline flopped back on the bed and sighed. She stared up at the ceiling thoughtfully.
This was going to be an interesting next few weeks.

Hey guys, long time no see. Yes, I know it's been a while since I've updated this book (or any book) but I've been busy with school and haven't had the time. School is more important to me than writing so I had to focus on that. Now that it's Christmas break, I'll try to update a bit more but no promises. Hope you enjoyed the chapter; be sure to vote! DO NOT COMMENT FOR ME TO UPDATE! I'm gonna start blocking people if I see comments like that.
