DO NOT COMMENT FOR ME TO UPDATE! If you do, even as a joke, I will block you.
Evangeline wasn't sure how she felt about being back at Hogwarts. She never knew how she felt going back these days. The train ride back was silent. Vivian and Evangeline sat in a compartment furthest away from everyone else. Well, as far as they could get at least. Evangeline wasn't in the mood to speak to any of her friends.
Although, she would eventually speak to Harry to make sure he was okay. She just didn't want him to bring up the letter. But it seemed that Evangeline Celesta Caspian would never get what she wanted. "Did you get my letter?" Was the first thing that the Potter boy asked when he set his eyes on her as she walked down the Hogwarts corridors. Hermione was by his side, a newspaper in her hands. "Hello, Harry. I'm good. My Christmas was both good and terrible. How are you?" She replied.
Harry sighed and rolled his eyes. "Hey, Evangeline. How are you? How was your Christmas? Did you get my letter?" He reiterated. It was Evangeline's turn to roll her eyes.
"Yes, I got it," she answered.
"And?" He asked.
"And what?" She replied.
"What do you mean 'and what'? Come on Evangeline, you have to have some sort of opinion on it," Harry said.
"I don't know what you're talking about. I didn't read the whole letter," she said. He stopped walking down the corridor. Evangeline stopped as well whilst Hermione kept walking, not noticing that her friends were no longer walking beside her.
"You didn't read the whole letter?" He asked in bewilderment.
"It was about Ron and what you thought was going on with him. Well, I already know. He stopped having feelings for me and grew them for someone else," she said.
Hermione, who had now noticed that her friends were not by her side, made her way back to them, her eyebrows raised in question. "No. That's not true. Surely you don't—"
Evangeline cut him off. "Maybe I don't believe it. Maybe I do. I don't know. What I do know is that I don't care anymore. Okay? So just stop bringing it up," she said.
"I will do no such thing," Harry replied.
Evangeline rolled her eyes and started walking again. "I'm not the only one who finds his actions to be strange," Harry said as he too began walking again. Evangeline shrugged her shoulders.
"I already told you how I felt about this, Potter. Stop bringing it up and stop concerning yourself with it," she said more forcefully.
"I can't just do that. He's my best friend and he's not himself. You're my friend and you're not yourself," he said.
"I'm fine," Evangeline replied. He gave her a disbelieving look. "I will be fine. But if you don't let this go, then I won't," she reiterated.
Harry sighed, "I just want you to go back to being happy." Evangeline sent him a small smile.
"And eventually, I will. Just give it some time," she said. Harry sighed again. He wasn't going to give this up, but she didn't need to know that.
Hermione brought their attention to the newspaper in her hands and their topic of conversation changed. They began talking about the Death Eater attack at the Burrow and the almost attack at Remus'. "It's so easy for them to get to you. You're bloody lucky you weren't killed. Both of you," Hermione said, lowering the newspaper in her hand to her side. "You have to realize who you are, Harry!" She continued.
"I know who I am, Hermione, all right," he snapped. Evangeline sent him a look before he apologized to Hermione. The three continued down the corridor and to their class. Harry stopped and looked at something, growing angry. Evangeline stopped as well and turned to look at where he was staring, hearing an annoying giggle. Her mood immediately turned sour as she saw Ron and Lavender.
The redhead was looking up at the blonde all dreamy like. "Of course I'll wear it," he was saying as she was putting a necklace around his neck. Lavender sighed happily, "That's my Won-Won." Hermione nearly gagged at the sight. Lavender began hugging Ron's arm.
Evangeline pursed her lips. "Well, I'm gonna go puke," she said, turning back to the direction they came and walking away.
Harry and Hermione stared after her for a moment before looking back at Ron and Lavender. "We need to fix this," Harry said.
Hermione sighed, "I don't think she wants us to."
He shrugged his shoulders, "We have to. Something just doesn't feel right."

Evangeline sat in her last class of the day, Muggle Studies. This class was one that she found to be enjoyable. She was always rather happy to be in this class and today was no different. That is until the bell rang and Lavender Brown came in barely on time. And because she came so late, her usual spot across the room from Evangeline was taken.
In fact, all the seats were taken. Except for the seat next to Evangeline. Lavender made her way over to the girl and sat down with a sigh. Evangeline scooted her chair as far away from the girl as she could, her mood now sour again. She wanted nothing more than for class to end right in that moment. The two girls ignored each other for half of the class.
Evangeline focused on listening to the lecture and taking notes. A tapping of a foot made her stop and look to her right where Lavender was sat. The blonde was tapping her foot against the ground and it was annoying. Evangeline turned away and returned her focus to the Professor. But the tapping continued and her annoyance had risen.
She whipped around to face Lavender, her eyes narrowed. "Could you stop tapping your foot? It's annoying," she hissed. Lavender froze and turned to face her. And then she did the most unnecessary and irritating thing ever: she smirked. "Sorry, didn't mean to be a bother. I was just thinking about the plans that I have with my boyfriend," she said.
The girl was so smug and Evangeline wanted nothing more than to punch her in the face. Evangeline scowled at the girl. "Just stop tapping your foot," she said through gritted teeth. She turned around to face the front and refocused her attention on the Professor.
"You know, Ron doesn't mind when I tap my foot. He finds it cute," Lavender said low enough for just Evangeline to hear.
The brunette dropped her pencil and turned to look at the blonde. "I. Don't. Give. A. Fuck," she said, trying, and failing, to keep her anger in check. "Do not talk to me about Ronald. Do not talk to me about your relationship. And do not talk to me period," Evangeline added. Her eyes were so angry and held so much hatred. Lavender's smirk fell and a sort of fear filled her eyes. Evangeline smirked at the sight.
"Are you proud of yourself or something? You stole another girl's boyfriend and you're smug about it? There must be something seriously wrong with you, Lavender Brown. You know, I think Muggles have a word for people like you. And here's a hint, it's not very nice," Evangeline said.
Lavender's eyes narrowed in anger. "You're just mad because Ron would rather be with me than you," she hissed.
Evangeline scoffed, "No. Right now, I'm mad because you keep tapping your damn foot on the ground." The blonde looked beyond angry but Evangeline didn't care.
"Somebody's desperate to get a rise out of me," Lavender said with a shrug. Evangeline scoffed, a humorless laugh leaving her lips.
"Desperate? That's a little rich coming from you," she said.
Lavender huffed and looked down at her notes.
"And let's get one thing straight, since your neurotic brain seems to think that you're relevant and I give a shit about you, I couldn't care less about your 'relationship'. And news flash, nobody else cares. So if that's why you stole my boyfriend, to feel important, you didn't succeed in your plan," Evangeline said. And with that, she was done with the conversation.
"Well, I succeeded in one thing," Lavender began. Evangeline ignored her. The blonde leaned in closer. "I stole your boyfriend from you," she whispered. Evangeline went rigid. Anger began pushing through her veins as she turned to look at the girl.
"You stupid bitch," Evangeline hissed out. The bell rang and Evangeline gathered her things.
She threw her backpack over her shoulder and stormed out of the classroom, clenching and unclenching her fists in anger.
"I will not kill her. I will not kill her. I will not kill her," she muttered to herself. It was a lie.
Lavender Brown was a dead woman.

Okay so I haven't updated most of my books this summer (if I even updated anything this summer) because I had to take summer classes pretty much the whole summer. Didn't get much of a summer vacation and I'm a little bitter about it but it is what it is. Anyway, this chapter was fun to write, especially the last portion of it. I hope you guys enjoyed it. Have a nice day rest of your day.
