   ELIJAH WALKED INTO THE MIKAELSON MANSION WITH ANGER WRITTEN ON HIS FACE. His jaw was clenched with anger and his eyes were filled with rage. His fingers curled into fists, one of them stung as her curled them, 

   "Niklaus!" Elijah bellowed, his voice echoing off the walls. Klaus went walking down the staircase of the mansion with a smug look on his face. Elijah licked his lips and rolled his eyes, as soon as Klaus was a few feet away from him, Elijah started, "There is something wrong, Niklaus." 

   Klaus' expression fell, his face became serious, "Well, spit it out." 

   Elijah opened his hand to reveal a marking etched on his palm. The marking was red as if someone had cut Elijah's palm with a small knife,  it was the Egyptian hieroglyph of Anubis. It was a jackal that was printed on his skin. 

   Klaus took Elijah's hand and examined it carefully, he had seen the symbol in the many books his mother had kept. He knew that the jackal on Elijah's palm meant something; that someone was here and that person was after them. 

   "Rebekah!" Klaus bellowed, within a few seconds Rebekah appeared in the living room of the mansion with a confused look on her face. 

   "What the bloody hell do you want?" she asked before noticing something on Elijah's hand. She looked at the two as she walked toward her brothers. She took Elijah's hand and look at it with careful eyes, "Who did this to you?" Rebekah looked up at Elijah with worry in her eyes. 

   "Anubis," he answered. 

   "Anubis?" Rebekah questioned, "That's rubbish, that's just mythology." 

    "If that's mythology then what are we? I saw him at the ball mother threw." Elijah said looking at his younger sister. 

    "I've seen the mark in one of mother's books," Klaus mentioned. 

    "Well, then what the hell does it mean?" Rebekah asked annoyed, the blonde placed her hands on her hips and looked at the two. 

   "It means that Anubis knows where we are and it makes Elijah vulnerable," Klaus answered 

    "To what?" Rebekah asked. 

    "It means that Anubis will know our every move. It means he knows what will kill us and he is one of the very few people who actually have a chance to do so. This mark makes Elijah vulnerable and if he ever does die, he will remain in the underworld never to come back." the three Mikaelsons looked at each other with weary looks. They didn't know of the threat that was to come, they didn't know what Anubis would do. 

   "Alright, so what do we do to kill him?" Rebekah asked, determined to put the God down. 

   "We can't kill him," Elijah answered, "He's a god." Elijah jerked his hand away and placed it in his front pocket. 

    "So then we find out about his past, he couldn't have just appeared out of thin air," Rebekah suggested. 

    Klaus stood silent and gritted his teeth. He never liked a threat, he didn't like anyone who was determined to kill him and his family. They had to get rid of him, no matter what.

   Klaus sat in a chair in his mother's room with a book wide open. Rebekah and Elijah stood at his side waiting to see what he would say. The book that they were reading from was the one Esther used as her backup plan to bring Anubis back. It contained the darkest thing yet-his story and the reason he was put in the coffin. 

   The three Originals darted each page for any information when they finally found what they were looking for, "There!" Rebekah said, she pointed to a spot on the page, "That is what we are looking for." 

   Klaus' eyes fixated on where Rebekah was pointing, "To whoever is reading this, Anubis has been put into a deep sleep. The other witches tried to reason with him but nothing worked, so we had to resolve it by putting him to sleep. Berenike had broken the young god's heart and instead of burrowing his emotions he lashed out. He transformed into a jackal, his bite became lethal to anyone. The witches tried to return him to human state but nothing worked, they tried sending Berenike but the attempt failed. So, the witches created a ring, that would only allow Anubis to turn into a jackal once. If anyone else were to wear the ring, the mark on Anubis would be etched on their skin. Anubis would know where they are and know they're deepest secrets and when they would die, Anubis would lead them to the underworld. 

   All the witches gathered together and used all their magic to turn him human and put him to sleep. We placed his body in a pharaoh's coffin and placed him in a pyramid, he can only be awakened once and if he were ever to be put to sleep he would not awake again. His life would be tied to a doppelganger. If Anubis were to ever return to be a jackal and the ring fails to bring him back, the only way to return him is a blood sacrifice from the woman he loved. I wish I had found out sooner but I am afraid it is too late.

   The three looked at each other, "Berenike is dead though and what doppelganger?" Rebekah asked, "Do you think this woman knew about the Petrova doppelganger line?" 

   "She was powerful enough to cast the spell, she most likely did know," Elijah answered, 

   "If he turns to a jackal and that ring fails, what's going to happen. Berenike is dead and no one could possibly want to love him now, he's a basically death." 

   "It wouldn't be impossible, we killed more people than we can count and look at us." The two Originals looked at Elijah. They knew he was right. 

   "I don't care if we need a thousand witches or a blood sacrifice but we are going to put him down."  Klaus stood up from his seat, he said it calmly but the two knew he was angry. 

    "So, do you think, he's connected to Elena? It said his life would be tied to a doppelganger, so if one dies then he would be put to a sleep." 

    "It might be Elena, but we're not killing her," Klaus said. 

   "Well, why not?" Rebekah asked, she didn't like the doppelganger, she found Elena rather annoying, "You only want her alive because she's the missing key to making your hybrid servants."

   Klaus glared at Rebekah, "Enough, we are not killing her, we will find another way to bring Anubis down." 

   Anubis sat on top of the small bed looking at the small ring. The bright gemstone reflected what the Mikaelsons were talking about. Anubis smirked to himself, they didn't know half of what was to come.
