backstory: roman grew up in boston, massachusetts. as a child, her household was teeming with excitement. her and her brother would always be going on adventures through the woods, or making crafts. her parents were lucky to have brought two children into the world who didn't constantly argue.

her brother was drafted into the army when she was 16, and it broke her; the two of them were close. two years later, the dorian family got a letter, the details of Ruben's death enclosed: he had been killed by a sniper. the family was devastated and mourned for days; it was unsure if they'd even get Ruben's body.

one evening, the family was sound asleep on their beds. it had been warm that night, so the windows were open to allow the air to filter through. a figure in black had taken this opportunity, climbed through the window, and murdered the couple lying in bed with a silencer. they moved on to the next room, roman's, and clasped a cloth over her mouth, immediately waking her. she didn't stay conscious for very long, and soon her world went black.

ever since that night, she had been training to become one of the several winter soldiers. they had pumped her up with a super soldier serum, which provided more strength, quicker reactions times, etc. she also became known as the siren, and believably so. except, she didn't eat her victims. she would lure men away from the crowd, men of high class, and then kill them. they could never trace it back to her, which was exactly what HYDRA wanted.

she was the only one to survive the attack from zemo; she was never put into stasis in the first place. remington was sent on a top secret mission from her superior, one that none of the other winter soldiers or zemo knew about.

she was soon tasked with the extinction of the avengers, which had been HYDRA's goal from the beginning. they had used james barnes, but that failed. her mission had two objectives; bring james barnes back to the HYDRA and eliminate the avengers. although, since bucky had been her superior at the time of her training, he knew her. he knew how to get into her head, and he knew the secret word to shut her down, but he also knew that the avengers needed to pull HYDRA's latest asset out of their clutches.
