personality: she's closed off at first, wary of people. she's not mean, but she definitely gets defensive. with her abilities, she knows that people will be afraid of her, so she keeps them a secret for as long as she can. she's terrified of hurting people and so much so that she'll cut them off. she doesn't mean to, it's something she has to work on. she's caring and she'll do anything for those she is close to. she's a giver, in both physical ways and emotional ways. she loves giving gifts to people, even if her love language is quality time. she's jittery, fidgets with a lot of things even if it is subtle. she's a good friend, but she is afraid of falling in love for how they'll react to her.

florence grew up in a small town in idaho, aka the middle of nowhere. she grew up on a farm, her father selling their beef to make profit. her mother was a school teacher, teaching history at the only high school in town. her life was quiet, simple and definitely wasn't worth being afraid of.

flo was 18 when she experienced her first break in. it would also be her last. the men who broke into their home managed to snatch her from her bed without her parents, her baby sister, or her waking up. when she woke up, she was met with strange faces behind a thick glass window.

the next few months would be excruciating for her. the scientists who worked on her only told her she was the exact 'specimen' they were looking for. florence didn't know at the time what they were talking about. but they poked, prodded and did all that they could to find something out about her.

how these men got ahold of one of the infinity stones is beyond anyone. but they did, and according to flo's eavesdropping, these men had a deal with a man named the collector, who held the power stone. she had no idea what that meant, but when they walked her into a padded room with the stone in front her, she knew what it meant for her.

the first time she was exposed to the stone it didn't appear to have done anything. so, they exposed her again, and saw visible changes. except these changes were too much for flo to handle. having been exposed to a very powerful stone, twice, she swore she was going to explode. but, she didn't. this was what told these men that they were successful.

long story short, they used florence as a weapon. she was used to take down powerful people and powerful organizations, until she went up against the avengers and failed. they managed to take her back to the compound and ever since then she's been a part of the avengers.
