personality: she's sarcastic, and sometimes it's hard to tell if she is. she likes to believe she's so because she can't make jokes much in her home, so she uses sarcasm to express her frustration, in a humorous way. she's also not someone you want to double cross or mess with. she's able to control the elements and literally has 100 ways to kill someone. though, when you get to know her, she's soft, she's kind and she's a never-ending flow of love. she's not easy to approach when first meeting her. she can come off as stone cold, and even though she can be like that, she's not. she hates talking about love, about who's shes fallen for. it makes her feel weak and vulnerable, two things no one likes to feel.

backstory: she grew up around the same time the mikaelson's did, only her family is about 100 years older. they lived peacefully in tennessee, a state with a load of resources. nothing really happened to them, until something did.

her father was out late one night while a werewolf pack was running through. the family didn't know of this, so they had nothing to worry about. daniel came home, barely alive. he was bloody, and he had obviously been ripped apart. the fact he was still walking was a miracle.

he died later on that night, and her mother was distraught. she looked for someone to blame and she blamed carissa, solely because she had been the one home and had mastered healing. her older siblings were out and her younger brother wasn't strong enough.

she met the mikaelsons on a trip with her mother, only meeting three of them: rebekah, klaus and elijah. she didn't take to klaus as well at she did the other two at first, but they'd become allies, but not friends.

presently, she still has a feud with her mother. she's living in mystic falls in a large home to fit her family. she and elijah, according to her mother, are forbidden from seeing each other. carissa doesn't even know the family is in town.
