☆ Aeris's Pov ☆

"What the fuck is your problem?" I cussed,staring at the book as I imagined it mocking me for not being able to reach it.

I tried extend my hand towards the book,placed on the top part of the shelf but failed.

This is the last book in the series

Why the fuck can't I reach it?

I am not that short

"Let me get that for you" Soobin offered,seeing me struggle.

"No,thank you.I can grab it myself" I politely denied,still trying to get the book.

Almost there

"Are you sure?" Soobin asked again with a concerned look on his face.

"Yes,don't worry about me" I smiled.

But this damn book is not coming into my reach

Why must I always be caught in an embarrassing situation by him?

Unfortunately after several tries,I failed to retrieve the book.I looked up at Soobin who was side eying me,reading his own book and gave him an embarrassed smile.

"Do you finally want my help?" He chuckled.

"Yes,please"

He grabbed the book from the shelf effortlessly and handed it to me making me gawk at the view.

"Thank you"

"No problem" He smiled.

"Did you see Taehyun anywhere by any chance?" asked Soobin looking for his companion.

"He is over there with Alvira,trying to prove his innocence" I gestured towards Taehyun who was following Alvira around everywhere.

"It was not me" Taehyun said for the nth term,trying to put an end to this misunderstanding

Poor Taehyun

"Can you please stop lying?" Alvira sighed.

"I am not lying" protested Taehyun.

"I told him not to worry about it that much.I would have sent Beomgyu over to your place to apologize personally anyways but he is adamant about clearing his name himself" sighed Soobin,eyeing the arguing duo.

Damn,that Beomgyu guy is a true menace

"Will anything happen if he can't clear his name?" I asked.

To be honest,I personally wouldn't have apologized so many times for a problem I didn't cause

"Rumors like 'The Wizard is so full of himself' 'He destroys things if he can't get them' can spread around quickly" explained Soobin.I gave a look of disbelief,hearing his words.

Who the fuck would do such a thing?

"Why do I have a feeling that something like this already happened?" I inquired,making Soobin avoid eye contact with me.

"I don't think I should talk about that" He smiled but I could feel the discomfort behind it.

"I don't know if it'll help or not but I'll explain what truly happened to Alvira" I said,trying to ease the tension. Soobin's doe eyes light up with joy.

"That'll be of great help.Thank you" Soobin responded,looking relieved at my words.

"I think their misunderstanding would go away soon anyways.It seems like they made up" I gestured to Taehyun getting on some sort of ladder to retrieve a book that Alvira wants.

How adorable

"I don't think my so"

Why not?

I followed Soobin's gaze and understood what he was talking about.

"Taehyun!Watch out!" Soobin ran to save Taehyun from falling.I followed after him.

I watched the scene unfold in front of me in shock.Taehyun's foot slipped from a step,making him clinging on to the ladder with both hands firmly stuck to the wooden frame but it ultimately toppled over due to the imbalance and Taehyun alongside the ladder fell on top of Alvira.

Taehyun immediately got up after the fall and Soobin removed the ladder off of Alvira and I helped my friend up,checking for any injuries.

"Are you okay?Where does it hurt?" I checked over her frantically,looking for any kind of bruises or cuts visible on her skin.

"It hurts here" She pouted,rolling her sleeves up to reveal several bluish purple bruise forming on her arm.

That looks so painful

"I am so sorry.I just wanted to help-"

"Are you going to accuse Beomgyu again?" Alvira glared at Taehyun while rubbing her finger over the bruise to somewhat relieve the pain.

"No,this is my fault and I sincerely apologize for hurting you" Taehyun apologized as he stared at the tiled floor underneath him.

"Let's go,Aeris" She said,wincing due to the pain now and then.

"I'll send Kai over with the medicine immediately.I hope that you get well soon" Soobin stated with a concern smile,his eyes glancing over the bruise on her hand.

"Thank you" Alvira thanked Soobin.

"I am so sorry" Taehyun mouthed at me with a sad smile as I helped Alvira down the stairs.
