sunoo sighed as he picked up the papers that has fallen on the ground. he's been carrying the exam papers and he needs to put this on the teachers' office again.

as he passed by the gazebo, he saw ni-ki walking towards him. he gulped, remembering what he said to him on the phone last time.

they passed by each other, ignoring each other's existence. sunoo exhaled as ni-ki finally went out of his sight.

this is hard.

after returning the exam papers, he went to the cafeteria to grab some food. he bought some chocolate bar and he was just ready to leave when he heard someone call his name.

"sunoo! why are you here alone?" kei approached him, holding a drink in one hand.

"hey, i just grabbed some food. how about you hyung?"

"just a drink. i'm gonna go home early because i'm babysitting my witchy sister." sunoo laughed at kei's statement.

"oh, speaking of sister. she actually went here two days ago and pestered ni-ki. i had to ask ni-ki to accompany her because she's a real headache."

something clicked on sunoo's mind. the girl i saw...was kei's sister? he mentally cursed.

"well, she could visit here anytime." he suggested. really sunoo, you want her to come here?

kei shook his head and chuckled. "she wanted to, but she's avoiding taki for over a year now."

"taki? why?"

the guy smiled. "she likes him, and she accidentally confessed to him when we were in japan. so yeah, she's still ashamed about it. anyways, i'm gonna go now. see you!" kei tapped his back and went outside.

sunoo mentally cursed again. the girl likes taki. oh great, now he's feeling guilty and stupid for getting angry at ni-ki. should he go and talk to him just to clear things out?

wait, what even needs to be cleared? he's right, they're just friends. does ni-ki even like him?

"kim sunoo i swear to God this is the dumbest idea ever," jungwon hit sunoo's arm as he dragged him towards the dance room.

"shut up okay? don't ruin this for me," sunoo peeked through the window, checking if there's people inside.

"no one's ruining it for you bestie, you did this to yourself. if you just let ni-ki explain to you who the hell that girl was, then you wouldn't even have to come here just to clear things up—"

"okay but can you blame me? i was mad because he ditched me—" jungwon cut him off, rolling his eyes.

"no! you two don't even have things to explain to each other because you are only friends! emphasize on the word friends. okay? get it? and you still didn't tell sunghoon nor ni-ki about what you really feel. oh gods i wish i can slap you right here. can i slap you?"

sunoo just sent a death glare to his friend and continued spying. he saw nicholas and jay inside, but no sight of nishimura.

"what are you two doing?" he immediately stopped peeking when he heard someone behind them speak. it was heeseung, and behind him was ni-ki, who did not even bother to spare him a glance. great.

"we—we're just uh, looking for hanbin hyung. is he here?" jungwon laughed, trying to cover up his friend.

heeseung looked confused. "no? he's busy right now with his thesis. didn't he tell you guys?"

"oh yeah, i think he did! haha sorry we kind of forgot about it. anyways, umm..." jungwon elbowed sunoo, signalling him to talk.

sunoo cleared his throat before speaking. "uh, ni-ki can we—hey i'm not done speaking!"

sunoo was startled when ni-ki grabbed his arm and just dragged him away. when he looked back at jungwon to ask for help, his friend only waved and gave him a thumbs up. jungwon you're supposed to help me you dumbass.

jungwon giggled while waving at them. meanwhile, heeseung looked more confused. he can't seem to remember when ni-ki and sunoo got closer. weird.

"jungwon?" jungwon froze when he heard jay's voice behind him. oh crap.

"welp, time to go. bye!" he tapped heeseung and ran away, hearing jay's voice calling him from the distance.

sunghoon just arrived on the dance room when heeseung ran to him, looking like he has seen something weird.

"what?" he asked, putting his backpack on the table.

"listen, you and sunoo are dating right?"

"okay, what's with the question? and no, i told you we're not dating." sunghoon sighed. he wants to ask sunoo about that but the boy still looks like he's confused. he wants to give him more time to think about everything.

heeseung pulled him to sit on one of the chairs. "cool, but do you know if there's something about ni-ki and sunoo? because sunoo was here earlier, and i thought he was looking for you. but ni-ki suddenly dragged him and now he still hasn't come back."

sunghoon inhaled sharply. he should've prepared himself for this, but it still hurts.

"they're probably just friends right? i mean, ni-ki knows you like sunoo and sunoo likes y—hey where the hell are you going? sunghoon!" heeseung got startled when sunghoon stood up and ran outside the the dance room.

sorry, but i can't let you have him. i can't let him go just like that.
