"why did you bring so many clothes? and you even brought clothesline?" jungwon pointed at the clothesline that geonu brought.

after half an hour, they finally arrived on the resort. the boys proceeded to take their bags inside the cabin that they rented. daniel, sunoo, jungwon, and geonu are in the same room.

"and what about it?"

"dumbass, did you think we're staying here forever?"

"you're a dumbass too, this is a necessity."

sunoo just sighed and continued unpacking his things. his neck slightly hurts, although he slept earlier on the van, he had stiff neck trying to avoid looking at the person beside him.

daniel sat on sunoo's bed while looking at him. "you okay? you seem pale."

sunoo nodded. "i'm just a bit sleepy."

"c'mon stupids! let's go and enjoy the water!" geonu exclaimed, dragging sunoo and daniel with his hands.

on the other room, taki, ni-ki, kei, and nicholas are also unpacking their clothes.

taki eyed nishimura who was lying on the bed next to him. "psst, how was the ride? did you enjoy it?"

ni-ki scoffed. "why would i enjoy it?"

"well, you like sun—"

he sat up and glared at taki. "no, i don't anymore. he probably likes sunghoon, and i can't compete with that."

"aw, the competition didn't even start yet and you're backing out? what happened to your confidence?" taki teased.

ni-ki sighed. as if it's that easy.

"look, i can't. this isn't some competition, and i don't wanna force myself to someone who clearly doesn't have interest in me."

pouting, taki just nodded and stood up.

kei was eyeing the two but he couldn't hear what they were talking. meanwhile nicholas already went outside.

"are you two done unpacking? let's go outside and help them with the food." kei said, bringing some cooking materials with him.

"sunghoon, i already told you to cut the sausages like this," sunoo groaned. they were incharge of doing the kebabs but sunghoon keeps messing up the sausages.

"but it's more cute this way," sunghoon chuckled, showing the octopus sausage that he made.

"it looks like it's food for toddlers!"

sunghoon laughed more when he saw him pout. "okay okay, i won't do it again. stop sulking or else.."

"or else?" sunoo asked, not looking at the other. he's busy cutting the fruits and putting it on the stick that he didn't notice sunghoon staring at him.

he looks so cute when he's being too focused.

"hey, or else what?" sunoo looked at sunghoon, but he didn't expect to find the boy already looking at him.

"or else i'll do this." sunghoon smiled and pinched both of his cheeks.

"oh hell no! let go of my face!"

"nope!"

nishimura stared at the boy who's holding his face while pouting. he stared how sunoo smiled so brightly at sunghoon, who's also laughing. they look perfect for each other.

nishimura looked away when he saw sunoo looked at his way. he turned around and walked towards the opposite direction.

"oi riki, i thought you're gonna help them with the kebabs?" nicholas yelled while cooking the barbeque.

"they look like they didn't need my help. i'm gonna go back to the cabin," ni-ki didn't wait for the others to reply and he just walked away.

jungwon, who's been busy with cooking the rice, raised his eyebrow while looking at the boy who just left. now that's something.

"why are you staring at him?" daniel asked. he also wanted to join sunoo but somehow, he got dragged into doing something else. sunghoon's friends might've planned to leave sunghoon and sunoo alone together. that pisses him off but what can he possibly do?

jungwon shrugged. "nothing. i just thought that he looks exactly like you."

"are you blind? how could that nishimura guy look like me? i'm offended."

"you're offended?" jungwon laughed. "anyways, what i meant is that you both carry the same emotion on your face."

"emotion?"

"yep. you two, both look heartbroken."

and if i'm not mistaken, you two got your hearts broken by the same person.

sunoo and sunghoon finally finished preparing the kebabs, so they brought them outside for the grilling.

the other guys are also busy. sunoo looked around to find his friends playing some card games. kei, hanbin, and jay were the ones doing the barbeque.

that's weird, i don't see him.

"you looking for someone?" he felt an arm on his shoulder. it was heeseung, holding a can of cola.

"uh..not really, i'm just checking what everyone else is doing."

"where's sunghoon?"

"oh, he went to get something in the cabin. he'll be back later."

heeseung just nodded and pat his head. he then left sunoo to swim.

feeling a little bit tired, sunoo sat on one of the mono block chairs. minutes later, taki also sat beside him.

"what are you doing here alone? you won't swim?" taki handed him a cup of lemonade which he gladly accepted.

"nah, i'm good. i just wanna rest for a while." he replied.

taki noticed that sunoo seems to be looking for something. he smiled. "if you're looking for ni-ki, he went to our room earlier. he said he was not feeling well."

sunoo shook his head. "w-what? i'm not looking for him though."

or am i? i actually don't know.

"okay then." taki paused, and then continued. "but it's almost lunch, and hanbin hyung actually wanted us to eat lunch together so...can you go and get him?"

"wait what—why me?"

"because you're the only one available here. pretty please?" taki grinned.

sunoo sighed. as if he has a choice.

ni-ki was busy playing with his phone when someone knocked on the door.

"taki since when did you learn how to knock?" he yelled, his eyes still on the game that he's playing.

the knocking continues. "just open the damn door, i'm busy."

nobody answered back, so he paused the game and went to open the door.

"is it that hard to twist the knob—" ni-ki was caught off guard when he saw sunoo behind the door. the boy just awkwardly smiled at him.

"uh—taki told me to tell you that we're gonna have lunch now."

ni-ki cleared his throat. "okay."

the two are now just standing in front of the room while avoiding eye contact.

"should we—"

"are you mad—"

both of them spoke at the same time, making ni-ki groan internally. what the fvck is even happening and why is it so awkward?

"you were saying?" nishimura asked.

sunoo bit his lower lip before speaking. "are you mad at me? did i do something wrong?"

so he thinks i'm mad. i thought he didn't care about that.

"no. i'm just having a bad day. sorry for being rude earlier," sunoo smiled a little when he heard him say sorry. he wanted to clear things up, because he wanted to remove the awkwardness that he feels everytime ni-ki is around.

"that's fine, you weren't even that rude. anyways, we're still friends right?"

friends. somehow, that word sounded uncomfortable, even for sunoo.

nishimura froze a little when he heard him. he didn't want friendship. he wanted something more.

"hey, you okay?" sunoo asked. he held the edge of ni-ki's shirt and tug it lightly.

the other chuckled. "yeah, i still find you annoying. let's go."

ah, i guess i couldn't really ignore him.
