Sokovia, Eastern Europe
It was silent as the setting sun shone over the city of Sokovia, people wandered their way home after exhausting days of working hard to keep the city going. The distant guns of war were quiet on this warm Wednesday evening, the people of the enjoying the peace of the day. However, two mischievous kids decided to take the opportunity to cause some trouble in their small neighborhood, cheeky smirks resting on their faces as they watched through their neighbors window for the right moment.
The oldest of the two, Aiden Hart smirked down at his younger sister, Alessia Hart before focusing back on the scene in time to witness his incredible invention at work. Mr Phillips was covered head to toe in pink dye, his eye twitching in anger knowing who had ruined his peaceful day. Both Hart siblings fell to the ground in pure laughter, their jaws hurting as their stomachs cramped from the joyous laughter. "That's it! I'm done with this," Mr Phillips exclaimed, alerting the two it was time to run.
Aiden jumped up before holding his hand out to his sister, Alessia quickly took his hand and the two of them took off running as Mr Phillips dashed out of his quaint home. The two kids were faster than the older man, his breathing already ragged and heavy causing him to slow down in the center of the neighborhoods playground where all the kids were playing in the final light of the day. The other children turned to the now pink man and began laughing at him knowing it was the Hart siblings who had caused it.
Alessia stood proud on the branch of a tree the two kids had climbed to escape the older man, she smirked down at him as Aiden blushed over at his crush, who was gazing lovingly at him already. Alessia rolled her eyes before sitting on the branch, pushing back to hang upside down on the tree with a giggle. "It's okay, mister. It'll wash off with the darmaine soap our mother makes, we made sure. It's a little joke, mister," Alessia informed him as Aiden jumped down from the tree.
Mr Phillips took two steps closer before pointing at the two mischievous kids, "You better hope so! I have a date tomorrow night and I will not let you two ruin it!" Alessia bit her lip to prevent a laugh from escaping at the idea of the older bald man going on a date. "Best of luck to you, Mr Phillips. I'm sure it'll be great," Aiden kindly assured as he helped his sister down from the tree before they both headed off home knowing dinner would be ready soon and that meant their father would be home, the busy man was their idol.
They got home fairly quickly, their mother stood their with her arms crossed against her chest looking down at her children. "Which one of you decided that dying Mr Phillips pink was a good idea?" Their mother, Winona asked, her Sokovian accent seeping through the words. "That would be me, mama. It was a great opportunity and I couldn't pass up on testing my invention," Aiden quickly answered before silence filled the room. "Then a heads up would of been nice! I missed the show," Their father, Christopher spoke from behind the two kids.
Both kids turned around with wide grins on their faces as they rushed over to their father practically jumping on him, the three of them tumbled to the ground from the impact. "Good to see you two, too. I've missed my little mischief makers," Chris said, his Spanish-American accent seeping clearly through the words. Their mother was born and raised in Sokovia by American (mother) and British (father) parents, but their father was American born to Mexican parents and he wanted to travel and see the world. And in that process, he found his world in the human form of one Winona Eisenhardt. The two were married after three months and eventually had their two kids, Aiden and Alessia.
The sweet family sat down for dinner together, Chris telling his kids about his adventures of the day helping wounded soldiers and finding treasures in the "forbidden lands" which never failed to interest both adventurous kids. After dinner, Aiden made his way to his room to read some of his favorite comics while Alessia snuck out her window to her roof where her two best friends were awaiting her arrival. "Wanda! Pietro! I hope you weren't waiting too long," Alessia spoke as she climbed up and sat in the middle of the twins.
"Nope, we just got here," Wanda tells her as she adjusted her jacket, the warm weather faded out causing a temporary cold breeze to take its place. Wanda Maximoff was a sweet yet fiery redhead that never failed to make Alessia smile even on her bad days, the two girls were almost inseparable on most days. However, Pietro Maximoff was Alessia's best friend for life. Pietro was always hanging with the girl no matter what, he only hung out with her, Aiden or his sister. Some believed the boy had a crush on her but he didn't, she was his best friend and nothing would change that.
The Maximoff twins lived twenty minutes away from the Hart siblings, they went to the same local school and spent a lot of time at the local park on the quiet days. And as Alessia was telling her best friends about the prank she and Aiden pulled on grumpy Mr Phillips, she felt like nothing else in the word could make her as happy as she was in that very moment. Despite all the bad that surrounds their country, They still got to enjoy their lives as children and not witness the dark truth about the harsh, dull world they lived in.

Sokovia, Eastern Europe
Alessia smiled up at her mother as the family sat down for dinner, their mother telling them about her day with the other mothers. Aiden jumped up with excitement as he began telling his family about his day, more specifically when he asked out his crush Irena Athlena. Alessia high-fived her older brother, proud he finally got a girlfriend after crushing on the girl for almost three years. She then went on to tell her parents about her day hanging out with Pietro and Wanda, the three of them helping out a new kid at school named Aaron Spencer.
Chris and Winona smiled happily at their daughter, their hands interlocked as they sat next to each other with their children sitting across from them. Alessia explained about how Aaron's family had moved to Sokovia from America due to their father's new job opportunity. Once she finished up telling them about the new kid, Chris explained his day regarding the strange rumors about crazy experiments nearby and some secret soldier that has been alive since the forties. Both kids laughed as they finished off their food before heading off to their separate rooms for bed on this school night.
It wasn't till halfway during the night that the first explosion happened, the family was startled awake instantly. Alessia rushed into her brothers room, they assumed the peace was over and the bombs always terrified the bubbly girl. Aiden held his sister tight as the gunfire began, though instead of it being distant like normal, it sounded much closer to the house. The siblings looked at each other in stunned silence before the screams began, they dashed into their parents room out of fear of being attacked next.
Christopher pulled his gun from the safe and held it up at the realization of what was happening. He looked to his children before letting out an unsteady breath, kissing his wife possibly one last time before heading downstairs. The two scared children cuddled up to their mother as they waited for their father's return to tell them everything would be okay. Loud footsteps were heard before the door opened forcefully, four men in covered uniform rushed into the room grabbing Winona and the two Hart Siblings, dragging them out of the house and onto the street.
Alessia looked over to her father, a man stood before him with his arms behind his back. "You betrayed us, Christopher. You were warned of the punishment," The man spoke, a Russian accent clear in his tone. Alessia curled into her brothers arms as they watched with watery eyes, their father looked to his children before looking back up at the man before him. "I couldn't do that to him anymore... It isn't humane, he doesn't deserve the pain... Let him free," Christopher replied causing the man to scoff. The man stepped away from Christopher, approaching the Hart family and looking at each of them carefully.
Alessia took a deep breath and blinked her tears away, she refused to show this man any fear just like her father taught her when it came to bullies. The man smirked down at her before sighing, he raised a gun and fired one shot... Straight into Winona's head, her body fell to the ground forcefully as a scream left Alessia's mouth. She began shaking as she stared at her mother's dead body, Aiden cried next to his sister as their father fought to protect his children. He hated himself for causing this pain for the most important people in his life.
Alessia closed her eyes, the picture of her mother's body forever burned in her memories. The eight year old felt numb as she opened her eyes, the tears had dried as her father went limp noticing the look in his daughter's eyes. He spent every day making her feel powerful, helping her understand that she can be more than what the world wants her to be. And now, he realised that he created the very thing that Viktor was looking for in his next project. Viktor knelt down in front of Alessia and brushed a strand of black hair out of her face, admiring the light fading from her eyes.
He needed it to die out, so the Russian man raised his gun and fired the next shot into Aiden's chest causing the older boy to fall to the ground instantly as blood seeped through his pajama shirt. Alessia barely flinched at the sudden shot, the light dulled more resulting in a smile from Viktor. The older man stood up and made his way over to Christopher, placing his hand on the mans shoulder. "Thank you, Christopher. You've done something right and now, the final touch," Viktor said before he fired one last shot into Christopher's head, his body slumping to the ground in view for Alessia.
Viktor ordered his men to gun down any potential witnesses before ordering two of them to take Alessia to the vans. Though Alessia didn't hear anything, it was all white noise as she seemed trapped in the flashing memories of her family being murdered in front of her and in that very moment. And just like that, Alessia Elizabeth Hart was no longer the mischievous, bubbly girl with a heart of gold. She was the next best thing for Viktor Volkov, and that was a new generation of Super Soldiers for Hydra.
