─ BATTLE IN WAKANDA ─

Alessia stepped out of the Quinjet, smiling up at T'Challa as she walked side by side with Steve and Natasha. "Should we bow?" Bruce whispered to Rhodey. "Yeah, he's a king," Rhodey answered back, Alessia instantly smirked with a shake of her head. "Seems like I'm always thanking you for something," Steve said to T'Challa as they shook hands. Alessia hugged T'Challa, "How is he?" T'Challa embraced Alessia tightly, "He's better."

"Uh, we don't do that here," T'Challa spoke to Bruce who bowed, Alessia shook her head at Rhodey who smirked. "So how big of an assault can we expect?" T'Challa asked Steve and Alessies, the two looked at one another with a sigh. "Uh, sir, I think you can expect quite a big assault," Bruce spoke as everyone began walking towards the building. "How are we looking?" Steve asked T'Challa.

"You will have my king's guard, the Border Tribe, the Dora Milaje, and..." T'Challa began as Bucky walked over to them. "A semi-stable, 100-year-old man," Bucky spoke with a smile before he and Steve shared a hug. "How you been, Buck?" Steve asked as they pulled apart. "Uh, not bad, for the end of the world," Bucky responded before Steve moved to the side. "I got your note," Bucky stated to his wife. Alessia smiled before stepping up and kissing her husband, "Gotta play the hero."

Bucky nodded with a smile before grabbing her hand, the group headed inside towards Shuri's lab. Shuri immediately embraced Alessia in a hug before showing off some of her inventions before focusing on the task at hand. Shuri scans the stone and studies the hologram as Alessia stood in front of Bucky, his arms wrapped around her shoulders holding her back to his chest. Steve smiled at the loving husband and wife, he was glad his best friend was happy after all this time, but he feared what may happen due to this war.

"Whoa. The structure is polymorphic," Shuri spoke before Bruce stepped forward. "Right, we had to attach each neuron non-sequentially," Bruce informed her. "Why didn't you just reprogram the synapses to work collectively?" Shuri asked with furrowed brows. Bruce stared at her for a moment, "Because, uh, we didn't think of it." Alessia smiled and Shuri nodded proudly of herself for once again outsmarting another person.

"I'm sure you did your best," Shuri spoke after sharing a glance with Alessia who definitely knew that Shuri would spend her life bragging about that. "Can you do it?" Wanda asked, she didn't want to lose Vision. "Yes, but there are more than two trillion neurons here. One misalignment could cause a cascade of circuit failures," Shuri explained to Wanda before turning to her older brother, "It will take time, brother."

"How long?" Steve asked. "As long as you can give me," Shuri answered back before glancing at Alessia. "Something's entered the atmosphere," Okoye spoke after looking at her device. "Shuri, you get to work on getting that stone out and we'll keep them distracted," Alessia spoke before turning towards the door, "Remember, if we fail... The world won't be the same." Everyone was silenced by Alessia words as she walked out of the room ready to fight against Thanos' army.

Alessia stood with Bucky and Sam as the defence shield around Wakanda destroys one of the vessels entering the atmosphere. "God, I love this place," Bucky spoke as he wrapped his arm around Alessia shoulders. "Yeah, don't start celebrating yet, guys. We got more incoming outside the dome," Sam said, Alessia's eyes began to glow as she stepped forward, looking towards the vessels heading towards them.

She knew this moment would be one that determined everything and she knew that Thanos' army would target her due to her power. She was ready to face them all, letting every ounce of power she has course through her veins ready to stop Thanos no matter the cost. She looked at her husband and knew that he was worried, she could see it as he looked at her. The golden veins contrasted to her tanned skin and he found her beautiful, he couldn't lose her.

"Promise me something..." Bucky spoke to Alessia as he leaned towards her, she turned her head to him with a sad smile before resting her hand on the side of his face. "I won't make any promises, James... Because I knew I may not be able to keep them," Alessia spoke before kissing her husband passionately. Sam stood near them with a smile, he - much like everyone else - hoped that if anyone got out of this alive, it would be them too.

Alessia looked to Bucky and Sam, "It's time." They nodded as T'Challa walked out with Steve. They all made their way down to the empty fields where the vessels were lined up above the jungle. "How we looking, Bruce?" Nat asked, Bruce was inside the Hulkbuster as Hulk wasn't keen to make a show. "Yeah, I think I'm getting the hand of it. Wow! It's like being the Hulk without actually-" Bruce trailed off as he stumbled on a rock.

Alessia shook her head as she walked between Bucky and Steve in front of the army they had gathered. "We got two heat signatures breaking through the tree line," Sam informed them as Alessia raised her head. M'Baku of the Jubari rallies his soldiers with a war cry before he stopped by T'Challa, the prince thanking M'Baku for standing with them.

T'Challa, Steve, Alessia and Nat walk to the edge of the barrier where Proxima Midnight and Obsidian Cull stand. "Where's your other friend?" Nat taunted with a slight smile. "You will pay for his life with yours. Thanos will have that stone," Proxima spoke with malice before looking to Alessia with slight fear, knowing her power was seen to be unmatched. "Hey big guy, you good?" Alessia teased Obsidian Cull who growled and went to step forward only for Proxima to stop him.

"That's not gonna happen," Steve stated sternly towards Proxima, Alessia smiled sweetly at Proxima who stepped back. "You are in Wakanda now. Thanos will have nothing but dust and blood," T'Challa warned. "We... have blood to spare," Proxima spoke before she raised her right arm with a cry, several large ships emerge from the forest behind her. T'Challa, Steve, Nat and Alessia returned to the front line.

"Did they surrender?" Bucky asked once Alessia stood next to him. "Not exactly," Steve responded as Alessia chuckled, those around them watched as her eyes began to glow bright, her aura formed a yellowish-blue shield around her. T'Challa leads the Wakandans in the war cry "Yibambe!" telling them to hold fast as the Outriders bounded towards the barrier to find a weak spot or way through. "What the hell?" Bucky spoke as he adjusted his rifle.

"Looks like we pissed her off," Nat stated before smirking at Alessia who stepped forward. T'Challa commands the soldiers to engage their shields as they all watched the Outriders bombard the dome only a few getting through it. "They're killing themselves," Okoye states mildly horrified by the alien species. "They are brainless blood-thirsty beings, Okoye. They don't want nothing but havoc," Alessia stated using a mild amount of power to wipe out the ones getting through the barrier.

"Cap, if these things circle the perimeter and get in behind us... There's nothing between them and Vision," Sam spoke as he fought off the Outriders entering through the barrier. "Then we better keep 'em in front of us," Steve stated side glancing at Alessia who nodded in agreement. "How do we do that?" Okoye asked T'Challa. "We open the barrier," T'Challa replied before putting his hand towards his face, "On my signal, open North-West Section Seventeen."

Alessia took in a deep breath as she looked to M'Baku, the two nodded at each other, both ready to fight in this battle. "This will be the end of Wakanda," M'Baku said to Okoye. "Then it will be the noblest ending in history," Okoye answered back with her head held high. "Standing together as one," Alessia stated. "Wakanda Forever!" T'Challa shouted as he crossed his hands over his chest as his Black Panther helmet covers his face.

T'Challa lead the army as they ran towards the barrier, T'Challa and Steve were ahead of everyone else. "Now!" T'Challa shouted, the barrier disappeared and the Outriders charged towards the army. Alessia pushed off of the ground with her power and took out a number of Outriders as Proxima rushed her. "You should know better," Alessia warned before using her energy to throw Proxima away from her as Hulk fought against Obsidian Cull.

"How much longer, Shuri?" T'Challa asked his sister over the comms. "We've barely begun, brother," Shuri responded as she tried to pick up speed on removing the stone. The Avengers and the Wakandans fought against the Outriders but there were so many, they began to struggle against the rabid creatures. Alessia landed next to Steve while holding up an energy shield as she fought against Outriders back to back with Captain America.

Suddenly, a large beam of light lands nearby and the Avengers and Wakandans stop to look up as an axe flies through the air, electrocuting the Outriders. Thor appears with his new axe, Stormbreaker alongside Rocket and Groot. Alessia smiled up at Thor as Bruce laughed joyfully, "You guys are so screwed now!" Alessia shook her head at Bruce's childish enjoyment before taking in some of Thor's energy to power herself.

"BRING ME THANOS!" Thor shouted as he charged towards the hoards of Outriders followed by Groot and Rocket. Alessia charged towards the Outriders with her refilled energy and she took out hundreds in one shot, Steve and Bucky stopped to watch her as she fought. "My wife is amazing," Bucky said to Steve who chuckled. "Focus Buck," Steve reminded him before the two focused back on the battle at hand, they had the upper hand and they were taking advantage of it.

"New haircut? I notice you've copied my beard," Thor says once he notices Steve. "Oh, by the way, this is a friend of mine. A tree," Thor introduces mid-battle. "I am Groot," Groot speaks. "I am Steve Rogers," Steve introduces as he points to himself. Alessia shakes her head as she stands with Rocket and Bucky who are discussing the potential price for Bucky's arm. "Rocket, focus!" Alessia stated as she pushed off of the ground taking out another thousand or so Outriders.

"She's good," Rocket compliments as he watches in awe. "She's my wife," Bucky stated proudly as they fought off more Outriders. "How did you pin her down? I mean, look at you!" Rocket accused with a chuckle. "I'm not having this conversation with a damn talking raccoon!" Bucky argued back, offending the small talking creature. Alessia laughed having heard the conversation before landing next to Thor, "I'm glad you are back."

Thor smiled down at Alessia as he caught his new axe, "It's good to see you." Alessia nodded with a smirk before holding up her hand to show him the ring. "You missed my wedding day, I married Bucky," Alessia informed the God of Thunder who pulled her into a hug after throwing his axe at a group of Outriders. "Congrats Lady Alessia. I am happy for you," Thor spoke once he let go of her. "Now let's kick some ass," Alessia spoke back as large machines came rolling down the battlefield.

Alessia let out a sudden scream as Proxima sent her spear through the distracted woman, Alessia dropped to her knees at the sudden pain before pulling the spear from her back. She turned her fiery gaze to Proxima who held a smirk on her face, "You aren't so scary or powerful after all." Alessia chuckled dryly before attempting to surround Proxima with energy but dropped back to her knees.

"What did you do to me?" Alessia asked. "You're nothing without your power," Proxima taunted as she held her spear by her side. "And you've underestimated me," Alessia stated before she pulled energy from Thor to heal herself. She pushed off of the ground and threw powered punches towards Proxima before throwing her across the battlefield again as she spotted Vision fall from the building's window. He's coming... Alessia thought as she felt the time stone transition from Strange to Thanos.
