── WEDDING DAY TRUCE ──

Alessia's heart was pounding in her chest as she stood outside The Avengers building, she was here to tell Tony about her engagement. She took in a deep breath as she played with the hem of her jacket - well Bucky's jacket. She opened the door and smiled at the familiar setting around her, her eyes closed at the sound of the footsteps. She opened her eyes and made her way up to the laboratory, opening the door she spotted Marcus and Aaron working together.

She bit her lip as she stepped forward, "Hello gentlemen." Both men turned to her with smiles on their faces, "Alessia, you look well." Marcus spoke first before approaching her and pulling her into a fatherly hug. She smiled at Aaron, "I have news but I was hoping Stark was around." Aaron nodded, "He's in a board meeting with the others, Let's go." She followed behind the two of them towards the boardroom, her heart was pounding.

They stopped at the door and she took a deep breath before opening it, "I hope you lot didn't miss me too much." Everyone snapped their heads in her direction, Tony's gaze locked on hers as Harper and Jesse cheered. Harper smirked as she rubbed her belly causing Alessia's eyes to widen, "You're pregnant?" She smiled brightly as Alessia hugged her, "Congratulations Harp!" She stepped back as Jonas walked up next to her wrapping his arm around her waist.

Alessia's heart swelled with joy seeing that Harper and Jonas were gonna be parents, Jesse and Alina were married and Marcus was finally seeing someone. Aaron was still the same old Aaron but she could see his wandering eyes landing on Alessia's brother who is openly gay. After catching up with her old team, Marcus pulled them away knowing Alessia wanted to talk to Tony. She approached him slowly as he looked away from her, "How is Rhodey?" She wasn't expecting her tone to be so soft.

Tony sighed before turning to Alessia, "I hate this Spyro, can we pretend like nothing changed for a moment?" Alessia smiled and nodded. She stepped up next to him, "You didn't answer my question." He chuckled lightly, "Rhodey is fine, he has an awesome battle story." She smirked and nodded before looking out the window of the lab. "I have news Tony," Alessia turned to look at him, his gaze locked on hers and she could feel the nerves kicking in. She took a deep breath before showing him the engagement ring, he was quiet and it was nerve-wracking.

Within the next few seconds, Tony pulled Alessia into a hug. "CONGRATULATIONS!" Alessia smiled at Tony's excitement about this despite his distrust towards Bucky, perhaps he finally understood after all this time. He pulled away with watery eyes, "I am so happy for you Alessia. You deserve to be happy. Even with him." Alessia laughed at his words before hugging him again, "I was hoping that you'd come to Wakanda for the wedding, we don't want to wait and I want all of my family there."

Tony agreed instantly, he even volunteered to drag the others along including Pepper. She was upset that Thor and Bruce were nowhere to be found, she wanted them there too but they'd be there in spirit. She was heavily nervous about this next step but she also knew that there was no one else she'd want to be married too. Bucky Barnes is the love of her life and nothing would change that, she knew that much.

Alessia took a slow steady breath as she looked at her reflection, the wedding dress sat neatly on her body and she couldn't help but tear up at where she was in life. She smiled at Shuri who was standing behind her in a bridesmaid dress as she smiled proudly. Alessia's heart was racing and her palms were sweaty as she continued to calm herself down before carefully fixing her hair. She turned around to look at everyone when a knock sounded on the door, Pepper raced over and opened it slightly before smiling and letting them in.

Alessia looked up to see Tony standing there in a suit, he took a moment to look at her and she could see the tears welling up in his eyes. Tony was her family, all of the avengers were and she knew he cared too much about all of them. "You look beautiful Spyro," Tony's words made her smile as she stepped down from the small stage to walk towards him. "It's time, huh?" She asked getting a smirk in return, "Manchurian Candidate is nervous, we can tell." Alessia laughed lightly before taking another deep breath.

Tony held out his arm for her as Pepper, Shuri, Nakia and Okoye walked ahead of them. "I'm happy for you Alessia. For both of you," Tony spoke lowly causing her to look at him with a small smile. "Thank you so much. I'm glad you came," Alessia was beyond glad they all came for this special day. Her heart was racing but she knew she was ready for this day, she was ready to become Mrs Barnes. She linked her arm around his with a smile on her face though her nerves fluttered within her stomach.

The music began playing as she walked down the aisle, once her eyes landed on Bucky it was like the world had frozen around them. He was in a tux, his hair styled nicely and his eyes locked on Alessia with a smile appearing on his face. Her eyes began to water as he wiped a tear from his own eye. Everyone was here, our family and she knew at this moment there was nowhere else she'd rather be than standing right next to him.

"Congratulations to both of you," Tony spoke as he let go of Alessia's arm, "Just remember Barnes, you're a lucky man." Tony walked over to stand in the front row as she moved to stand across from Bucky. The celebrant started the ceremony as Bucky grabbed Alessia's hands, the smile couldn't be wiped from her face as the tears welled up in her eyes.

Finally came the time for their own vows starting with Alessia, "James Barnes. We've faced the darkest challenges where we thought we wouldn't make it out. But no matter the distance between us, we found our way to each other. I know that you struggle with your reflection, your memories and the demons within your mind but I'll spend the rest of my life reminding you that you aren't a monster, that you are loved and deserve the world. I love you, James Buchanan Barnes." Bucky wiped the tears from her eyes as he sniffled.

Bucky took a deep breath looking down before looking into her eyes, "Alessia Hart. When I first saw you in that room... I questioned my orders for the first time without hesitation. You came into my life during a time I had no control, you gave me control. You were this bright light that took away the darkness, you showed me a whole new world and I was ready to defy everything just to see you smile. And I will spend the rest of my life loving you." Alessia bit her lip to stop a sob of joy leaving her lips as he smiled widely at her.

The celebrant continued with the traditional words as they repeated them until the moment came, "Do you Alessia Hart take James Barnes to be your lawful wedded husband?" Alessia smiled, "Damn straight I do!" Everyone laughed as Bucky smirked at her. "And do you James Barnes take Alessia Hart to be your lawful wedded wife?" He tightened his hold on her hands slightly as he glanced at Steve before turning back to her, "Hell yeah I do." The celebrant nodded, "Then by the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride."

Bucky pulled Alessia in and dipped her as he kissed her passionately, everyone began clapping as her soul felt at peace. It finally felt like everyone and everything was where it was meant to be and she didn't dare disturb that peace with the knowledge of the future coming their way. She was ready for her life as Mrs James Barnes and no destiny would take that from her, she was right where she was meant to be. And the party went on for hours into the early morning, she was happy with her family.
