─ THE ENDGAME PT.1 ─

Alessia slipped into her suit and pulled her hair back into a high ponytail when a loud noise caught her attention. She turned her head before stepping into the main room, looking up she saw a large ship and before she could do anything, two large missiles hit the compound. Alessia was sent flying back but she quickly used her powers to push through a gap in the building, facing the large ship with anger fuelling her soul.

Her vision filled with the same yellowish-blue tinge she was used to, the energy coursing through her veins like pins and needles before reaching the satisfying feeling of exuberance as she felt the cool air against her face. Alessia looked down to see Thanos, Nebula and a squadron of outriders, her heart pulsed like a drum as she glared at the mad titan she and Thor had once killed. She knew that this version of him was from another time, an alternate universe.

Alessia hears the calls through the comms from the others, rushing down into the crater that was the Avengers Compound to help whoever she could. "You lose this again, I'm keeping it," Tony's voice made her let out a breath of relief, landing next to the two men. "What happened?" Steve asked the two as they helped him up. "Told you. We messed with time. Time messed back," Tony pointed out before Steve and Tony followed Alessia through the ruins of the lab.

"Where are the others?" Steve asked though he still felt woozy. "I read life signs, maybe 800 feet down, but it's hard to tell," Tony responded as Alessia closed her eyes to focus on the energies nearby. "They're all okay, for now," Alessia told Steve and Tony as they approach Thor who was looking down at Thanos, the mad titan was just sitting on the rock waiting for something to happen and it made Alessia uneasy.

"What's he been doing?" Tony asked Thor who continued glaring at the mad titan. "Absolutely nothing," Thor answered which only made them all feel more uneasy. Thanos' gaze turned from the bland smouldering environment to the four Avengers standing on the edge of the ruined lab, a sly smirk appearing on his face before he turned his gaze to Alessia, his smirk faltered and morphed into slight fear and anger.

"I was supposed to fade in the snap..." Alessia whispered under her breath though the other three heard it. "He knows if anyone could beat him..." Steve began. "It's Alessia," Tony finished as she stepped forward. "Then let's not keep him waiting," Alessia spoke as her power flowed through her, the energy sparked within her chest and she pushed off of the ground. "Let's kill him properly this time," Thor spoke up after Mjolnir and Stormbreaker flew into his hands, lightning crackling off of him.

"You could not live with your own failure. And where did that bring you? Right back to me," Thanos spoke casually as Alessia and Tony approached him while Thor and Steve fan out on either side of the Mad Titan. "I thought by eliminating half of life, the other half would thrive. But you've shown me that's impossible," Thanos continued, his gaze focused on Alessia. "Life clings to the past with bloody fingernails. As long as there are those who remember what was, there will be those unable to accept what can be. They will resist," Thanos continued like a disappointed parent.

"Yep. We're all kinds of stubborn," Tony replied, the Mad Titan turned his focus from Alessia to Tony. "I'm thankful," Thanos began, a smile present on his face as he looked at the four Avengers before him. "Because now I know what I must do," Thanos reached for his helmet, "I will shred this universe down to its last atom. And then, with the stones you've collected for me, create a new one, teeming with life that knows not what it has lost, but only what it has been given. A grateful universe."

Alessia held in her anger as Steve stepped forward, "Born out of blood." Thanos turns to look at Steve as if seeing him for the first time. "They'll never know it," Thanos spoke before he drew his blade off his back, towering over them. "Because you won't be alive to tell them," Thanos added with a sly smirk. Tony glanced over at Steve, the two shared a nod as Thor charges Thanos with all of his might. Tony, Steve, Thor and Alessia fought against Thanos using their skills in concert.

Thanos manages to overpower Tony, throwing him back before throwing his blade towards Steve, who blocked it with his shield, though it sent him stumbling back. Thor was thrown back when his lightning bounced off of Thanos' blade, Alessia slipped her way behind Thanos and used a buildup of energy from the Quantum Realm to lift Thanos from the ground and send him flying into a wall that sat a distance away.

Thanos rushed back into the scene and raised his blade towards Alessia who threw an aura-like fist towards him. Thor smashes his hammers together, hurling lighting into the back of Tony's Iron Man suit. Tony sends the resulting overload at Thanos, but Thanos propellers his blade, holding back the blast. Thor uses Stormbreaker to bat Mjolnir at Thanos... Thanos snatches Tony by the ankle and uses him as a shield against the oncoming hammer.

Mjolnir ploughs into the dirt while Tony goes tumbling out cold, F.R.I.D.A.Y attempting to wake him from his slumber. Steve slashes at Thanos but the Mad Titan brutally beats him aside before looking towards Alessia, the raven-haired woman surrounds herself in pure energy before flying towards him, the force of her hit sent him tumbling back, losing his blade in the process. Alessia drops to her knees, exhaustion overcame her as Thanos got back up from the ground.

He trudged his way towards her but Thor attacks him first. Thanos drives Thor through a wall of debris, smashing his fist into the God of Thunder's face, over and over again. Alessia, unable to pull energy from the Asgardian while he was getting his ass beaten, lifted Thanos' blade from the ground and raised her arm back before sending the blade across Thanos' back, but the Mad Titan simply ignored the action and focused on Thor knowing he was Alessia's energy source.

Then, across the field, Mjolnir rises into the air. Thanos grins, about to finish Thor of with Stormbreaker when Mjolnir flies in, knocking the axe out of his hands. Alessia looked to Mjolnir and smiled widely as she watched it fly back to Steve Rogers, landing perfectly in his grip. "I... knew... it..." Thor whimpers out with a proud smile as Alessia focused on the energy within Mjolnir, her body already feeling stronger as she gasped.

Steve attacks Thanos, throwing Mjolnir into his jaw causing Thanos to tumble and before the Titan could get up, Steve calls down the lightning and sends it crackling into Thanos' body. Steve leaps, trying to finish Thanos off, but Thanos rolls aside, head-butting Steve. Thanos gets to his feet with a faint taunting smile resting on his face while Alessia helped Thor stand up, healing any major wounds either of them had.

Thanos whips off his helmet and attacks Steve with his blade, blow after blow. Steve barely manages to lift his shield, Thanos hacks the shield to pieces before finally knocking Steve across the field. Steve lies beaten, half a shield still attached to his arm and the sight caused Alessia to seeth in anger as she rushed the Mad Titan. He turns to her and dodges her punch but she still manages to kick him in the side with an energized kick causing him to stumble.

Alessia pushes off of the ground and wraps her arms around the Mad Titan's neck, stabilising her feet before she began pulling from the bottom of his neck with all of her strength. Alessia held on as she tried to tear Thanos' head from his body, eyes closed as she focused on the energy coursing through her veins and the family she was protecting. Thanos groaned in pain as he struggled to pull Alessia from his back, finally, the pain was too much and he rushed backwards slamming Alessia into the wall of debris.

A large piece of metal pierced through Alessia's waist causing her to scream out in pain, Thanos threw her to the side near Steve who looked to his sister in worry and concern. "I'm... okay," Alessia whimpered out before the two of them looked towards the Mad Titan. "In all my years of conquest," Thanos began as Steve attempted to stand. "Of violence and slaughter... It was never personal," Thanos spoke before gesturing behind him, a distant rumble echoed.

Thousands of aliens ring the lip of the crater, the Black Order leads a platoon of Chitauri, Sakaarans and Outriders causing Alessia to sigh in annoyance before ripping the metal from her side. "But I'll tell you now, the things I'm about to do to your stubborn, annoying, little planet..." Thanos continued as Q-Ships, Dropships, Necrocraft and Leviathans buzz above them. "I'm going to enjoy it. Very, very much," Thanos finishes off, his gaze on Alessia.

Steve stares at Thanos and his army, and even in the face of such overwhelming odds, he gets to his feet before helping Alessia to hers. Thanos stares at the two, almost saddened by their heroic nature, as Steve tightens the broken shield on his arm and began walking towards Thanos with Alessia by his side. Two soldiers against thousands. But then, a sudden crackle in their comms gained their attention, they looked at each other as a familiar voice came through...

"Cap. On your left."
