─ THE ENDGAME PT.2 ─

"Cap. On your left," Sam Wilson's voice echoed like a melody through the comms, Alessia and Steve looked at each other with wide eyes before looking to the left where sparks appeared. Slowly, a portal formed in the sky and out flies Sam before soaring over the open field within the crater they stood in. Alessia watched as more portals began to form, Dr Strange, Peter Quill, Drax, Mantis, Peter Parker came through the first one with Kraglin and the Ravagers behind them.

The second portal that opened revealed T'Challa, Okoye, Shuri, M'Baku, Wanda, Bucky, Groot and the Wakandan army. Bucky's eyes searched for Alessia, the moment their gazes locked, Alessia smiled widely at the sight of her husband. And though it was a mere five seconds for Bucky Barnes, it had felt like an eternity away from her and he knew that five years had gone by and he wasn't gonna let her go after this.

From the next few main portals, Valkyrie, Korg, Miek and the Asgardian army wandered through as Pepper Potts in a suit similar to Iron Man, Hope Van Dyne in her Wasp suit and Wong walked through with an army of Sorcerers behind them. Thor gets to his feet, calling Stormbreaker to his hand as Tony regains consciousness, staring out at the cavalry. "As I said, we are getting everyone," Alessia spoke up to Steve who chuckled breathlessly before nodding.

Then the ground rumbled and shook before Scott Lang in his Ant-Man suit grew to the size of a giant with Rocket, Hulk and Rhodey - rocking the Cosmic Iron Patriot suit - in the palm of his hand. Steve looks around at the army that stood before him before he turned his attention to Thanos, the Mad Titan looking out at the endless army that threatened him and his army. Alessia walked up to stand next to Steve as he called Mjolnir, catching the hammer with a smirk.

"Avengers... Assemble."

Thor let out a battle cry as he charges, everyone followed suit as the heroes flooded the field. Across the way, Thanos smiles and points his blade and his army rushes forward with the only intent to kill. Ant-Man slugs a Leviathan across the jaw as Drax launches himself onto a Cull currently choking the life out of Korg. Tony blasts overhead with Rhodey joining him and the two of them working together strafe the field.

Steve and Thor fought back to back, both of them held out their hands, Stormbreaker returns to Steve while Mjolnir returns to Thor, who frowns. "No. You take the little one," Thor says before the two switch weapons and proceeds to take out the aliens. Elsewhere, Tony battles several Culls and one manages to knock him into an Outrider who was about to rip his armour off when Peter webs the Outrider, yanking it onto the path of Ant-Man's foot.

Tony looks to Peter, Alessia only a few steps away fighting off Outriders with her powers. "Mr Stark. Holy cow, you would not believe what's been going on. Do you remember when we were in space? And I got all dusty? I must've passed out because I woke up and you weren't there, but Dr Strange was, and he was like, "It's been five years, they need us." And he started doing that yellow sparkly thing he does-" Peter rambled but was cut off by Tony embracing the teenager.

Alessia smiled at the sight before spotting Bucky being overrun by Outriders, pushing off of the ground she rushed over and hit the ground with an after wave of energy that instantly disintegrated the Outriders into ashes. "Fuck, I love you," Bucky spoke before grabbing Alessia's waist and slamming their lips together, Alessia melted into his hold as he power fought off any aliens that threatened to ruin their moment. "I missed you," Alessia whispered against his lips.

"Later lovebirds!" Rocket shouted as he fought off aliens, Alessia laughed before she and Bucky stood back to back fighting off the aliens that raced towards them. "You missed a lot, you know!" Alessia called out to her husband as she threw aliens into the pathway of other heroes who was taking them out like madmen. "Oh yeah, I don't doubt that," Bucky answered as he fired his rifle towards the aliens while ensuring that Alessia was right by him.

"Yeah, uh, not the best time but hey, anything could happen-" Alessia began before Bucky nudged her. "You're rambling, Doll," Bucky replied before grabbing her waist and pulling her to the side as an explosion went off. Alessia watched as Quill was kneed in the balls twice by alternative Gamora, Alessia laughed quietly before standing up straight and looking at Bucky. "Alright... You're a father," Alessia said before stepping around Bucky to kick an Outrider away.

Bucky stood frozen before shaking his head and looking at Alessia as her eyes began to glow bright, an fox-like aura surrounded her before she sent a wave of electricity towards the surrounding aliens, turning them to pure dust. Alessia turned to see the look of pure love and adoration on Bucky's face, "I'm a father?" Alessia nodded at his words before walking closer to him. "Her name is Rebecca Natalia Barnes and she looks like you," Alessia informed him.

Bucky kissed her swiftly as Rocket groaned and saved the two from oncoming aliens. "Seriously! I mean, I get it but come on!" Rocket complained until his gun powered up with energy from Alessia causing him to smirk. "Oh yeah!" Rocket spoke before firing off his newly powered gun that was turning the aliens to dust. "Now let's fight and get home to her," Alessia spoke sweetly, Bucky nodded and the two tuned back into the battle.

Across the field, Clint runs with the Gauntlet, pursued by a Chitauri ape. Just before the ape could trample Clint, Sam swooped down and took out the ape. Clint continues to jog away from the aliens, keeping the Gauntlet out of their reach. "What do you want to do with this thing?" Clint spoke through the comms. "Get those stones as far away as possible!" Steve spoke next as he fought off aliens that surrounded him and Thor.

"No! We need to send them back where they came from," Hulk spoke next and Alessia noticed that Thanos was focused on her now. "Look, resolve the issue. The Titan is mine," Alessia spoke next before using her energy to push off of the ground and fly straight for Thanos, throwing a powerful force of energy at him before landing and kicking his side. Thanos quickly recovered from her two hits and lifted his blade, he swung the blade towards her but she quickly dodged.

Meanwhile, Scott clicks the keys to Luis' van and from the distance, "La Cucaracha" plays alerting them all on the whereabouts of the time machine. Luis' van was spotted by Valkyrie, sitting surrounded by hundreds of Aliens, deep behind enemy lines. Steve surveys the land, his eyes turned to Alessia and Thanos as she managed to send him tumbling back into the debris, using her strength to send multiple hits to his face.

"Scott, how long do you need to get that thing working?" Tony asks as he fired at the surrounding aliens. "Uh, maybe ten minutes," Scott responded with an unsure tone that Tony didn't like. "Get it started. We'll get the stones to you," Steve spoke with the usual optimistic tone he carried. "We're on it, Cap," Hope responded before nodding to Scott who smiled sweetly at her. The two of them shrink down and fly away towards Luis' van.

Tony flies up to Dr Strange and hovers above him, "Doc. You said we win one in 14 million. Is this how it goes down?" Alessia was momentarily stunned by Tony's words allowing Thanos an opportunity to grab her and throw her to the side into a wall of debris. "If I tell you what happens, it won't happen," Dr Strange tells Tony. "You better be right," Tony replied before he rockets away, Strange coolly watches him go before looking to Alessia who nodded.

Alessia focused on the energy from Stormbreaker and let it course through her veins, her energy shifted as she opened her eyes and fired off a ball of electricity that seared through Thanos' skin and sent him stumbling a few steps backwards. Ebony Maw rushes over to Thanos, "Sire, the stones!" He points towards Clint fighting through the horde with the Gauntlet tight in his grip.

Alessia was distracted fighting Ebony Maw as Thanos went after T'Challa who now held the Gauntlet in his grip. Wanda steps in as Thanos stepped towards the King of Wakanda. "You took everything from me," Wanda seethed as she gritted her teeth in anger. "I don't even know who you are," Thanos responded coolly. "You will," Wanda snapped back before she unleashes a storm of red energy, hurling wreckage at Thanos.

Alessia overpowered Ebony Maw and sent him flying across the field, she quickly got to her feet but before she could rush towards Thanos, Cull Obsidian threw down his axe, barely missing her. "You again!?" Alessia snapped before her eyes began to glow again, she focused on his energy and drained it from him before lifting his axe and using it to throw Cull Obsidian across the field into a pile of Outriders. Alessia let out a few shaky breaths from exertion, her heart was racing at the amount of energy used.

Alessia looks up at Thanos' ship, The Sanctuary-2 begins firing towards the field which causes the heroes to duck for some cover. Sorcerers create force fields to protect the army while Alessia seethes and rushes towards Thanos and Wanda. Alessia looks up to see Peter on the back of Valkyrie before a cannon fire sent him falling towards the ground, Alessia quickly manipulated her energy to catch him before he hit the ground too hard.

All around the field, the relentless barrage pins down the heroes and slowly they began to believe that all hope is lost. Suddenly, everything goes silent and Alessia looked up to see the cannons turning towards the clouds. In the distance, Alessia sees what looks like a comet heading straight for earth though she begins to grin knowing who it was. "Took your time, Danvers," Alessia teased through the comms.

Carol flies through the Sanctuary-2, right out the other side before she goes binary, rocketing again through the hull causing the engines to explode. "I'm here, ain't I?" Carol teased back towards Alessia who laughed before feeling stronger by the numerous energy sources around her. Alessia joined Wanda, Okoye, Gamora, Nebula, Valkyrie, Hope, Pepper, Mantis and Shuri to protect Carol and the Gauntlet from Thanos.

At the ridge, Thanos spots the women of Marvel blasting through his troops. He tracks their path to Luis' van, understanding their plan immediately, he grabs Proxima's spear from her and starts running. Across the field, Ebony Maw sends Wanda and Alessia tumbling, but Shuri blasts him out of the sky. Cull Obsidian hammers Valkyrie, but Nebula moves quickly to take him out. Carol keeps going with the Gauntlet tucked under her arm, getting closer and closer to Luis' van.

The Quantum tunnel bursts to life and across the field, grounded heroes look up to see Carol just yards away from the goal. She puts her head down, flying for all she's worth but just as she reaches the gaping van doors, Thanos throws the spear and the van explodes from its impact sending Scott and Carol flying, taking out some of the wizards holding back the river. Alessia's eyes widened, she spots the Gauntlet and lets out a deep breath.

Thanos catches Proxima's returning spear, a sly accomplished smirk resting on his face. Tony, Steve and Thor all spot the lone Gauntlet, unfortunately, so does Thanos. The four rushed for the Gauntlet, they all collide as Thanos grabs the Gauntlet, kicking Thor down. Thanos knocks Tony aside, then squeezes the crushed Gauntlet, popping it open, just wide enough to put his hand inside.

Steve lunges, but Thanos throttles him. Finally clear, Thanos slips on the Gauntlet, but before he can snap... Carol arrives and she quickly grabs the glove, preventing him from closing his fist. He headbutts her but she doesn't move, raising a cocky eyebrow at the Mad Titan who was momentarily stunned. Carol presses Thanos down, but before he falls, Thanos pulls the power stone from its housing and punches Carol which sends her flying.

The field goes quiet now that nothing stands in Thanos' way, Tony gets to his knees as he realises they were gonna lose again. Alessia pushes off of the ground and rushes towards Thanos with every ounce of energy she had left, he simply smirks as she surrounded herself in her aura preventing him from using the stones against her. She throws a punch into Thanos' face, he stumbles back as she surrounds the Gauntlet with energy preventing their use.

Thanos growled in anger as she continued throwing hit after hit into him while others watched in amazement, the aura around Alessia look identical to the Bi-Frost, her eyes swirled with the colours of the stones. Tony looks from the two towards Dr Strange who was struggling to hold back the river, the two lock gazes. And at that moment, all Strange can do is hold up one finger signalling to Tony that this would be the one we win - And Tony knew what to do.

Tony looked to Alessia as the aura began to fade out from exhaustion, he pushed off of the ground as Thanos threw her to the side. Tony lunges towards Thanos for the Gauntlet, nano-clamping it in a vice. Thanos knocks him aside as Alessia sits up against the wall of debris, her heart racing as she focused on Tony Stark. Tony looks to Alessia, the two of them knew what was gonna happen next.

Alessia let the tears fall as Tony sent her his signature smile, Thanos stood up straight looking at Tony with an accomplished smile. "I am... Inevitable!" Thanos spoke as he snapped his fingers, yet nothing happened. Thanos, confused, turns his hand around to reveal that the stones were missing. He looks up to see Tony, nano-particles sliding and shifting, forming a new Gauntlet on his own wrist. Complete with six infinity stones, power surges through Tony, excruciating, but he still lifts his hand.

"And I... am... Iron Man," Tony speaks before snapping his own fingers, the tidal wave evaporates into mist and all around the field, Sakaarans and Outriders fold in on themselves, atoms disintegrating. Thanos looks around, watching his troops disappear. Ships vanish from the sky, Culls and Chitauri are all turned to dust and left to blow away in the wind. Thanos stood alone in the field and after a long moment, he sits down on a rock with Alessia approaching him.

"You. Lost," Alessia seethed as he frowned yet accepted his defeat before he too, faded to dust in the wind. Alessia let out a shaky breath as she looks around at the family she had created over the years, her heart ached as she turned to see Peter by Tony's side. Rhodey guided Peter away from Tony as Pepper kneeled down in front of her husband, "Hey, Friday, what've we got?" Pepper held in her tears as Friday responded, "Life functions critical."

Bucky approached Alessia, standing on her right with Steve on her left and Sam a few feet away from them. Slowly, everyone surrounds Tony as he focuses on his wife, wanting her to be the last thing he sees before letting go. "Tony, look at me. We're going to be okay," Pepper assured him as Alessia leaned into Bucky, letting the tears fall for her fallen brother. Pepper carefully rests her hand on his face, Tony leans into her hold as she leans forward and presses one last kiss to him.

"You can rest now," Pepper spoke softly, she pulls back and notices his eyes are fixed and glassy and everything goes quiet. Letting out a slow breath, Alessia drops down to one knee, the action followed by everyone, one by one as they stayed silent for Tony Stark. Alessia closes her eyes and focuses her energy before flooding everyone's minds with memories of Iron Man, memories of Tony Stark, memories of her fallen brother as the full weight of what's happened dawns on them.

A hero has been lost...

It's hurt so much because my original plan was Alessia instead of Tony but Tony... It was his sacrificial play, not hers...
