Chapter Five
── DESTROYING TEMPOLIZE ──
── ☆ ──
Alessia moved carefully across the houses in the lovely neighbourhood, scaling the over the roofs silently in the setting sun. Her shadow cast over the flat roofs, her focus was on keeping silent in the hopes not to alarm her position. Finally, she stopped on the roof opposite her target's home, the target stepped out onto their balcony to light a cigarette. He focused lazily on the dark blue of the ocean as the sun finally disappeared under the horizon.
A small smile rested on his face, his latest hookup strolled by the balcony doors heading down the stairs to the kitchen. Alessia raised her gun, positioning it perfectly, aiming straight for the target's head. Alessia adjusted the suppressor on the gun, she took in a deep breath. Alessia rested her finger on the trigger, a small sound behind her caused her to turn her head and gun, pointing it at the intruder.
Her eyes focused on the man standing there, something was familiar about him but nothing clicked in her mind. He slowly knelt down next to her without turning his head to her as he spoke, "Heil Hydra." Alessia nodded slightly as she looked down to his metal arm, a bold red star rested hauntingly on it. Alessia shuddered ever-so-slightly at the symbol knowing what it meant, she turned away from the man and focused back on her target.
Alessia pulled down on the trigger, firing the bullet straight into the target's head making his body stumble before tumbling over the railing into the pool below. Alessia lowered the gun and let out an unsteady breath, her programming wall cracked slightly as she watched the woman run outside and scream at the sight of the body. Alessia stood from her crouched position and took off with the Soldier following behind her.
The two continued along the tops of the houses until they reached an alleyway, both of them dropped to the ground. Alessia closed her eyes as she took a deep breath before opening them again. She took a step forward only for the Soldier to grab her hand and turn her around, his metal hand rested perfectly in the curve of her waist. Alessia stood stunned as he leaned forward, "You don't remember me, but I remember you..." Alessia furrowed her brows at the Soldier's pleading words.
He removed the mask from his face, "I know you are breaking free... Keep fighting that wall. Just know..." His flesh hand rested on the side of her face, "We'll get that white picket fence life... Just like you said." Alessia blinked a few times as her mind searched so desperately for any answers about the man standing in front of her, looking at her so lovingly yet frightened, almost as though his actions were so foreign from the person he is. The waters they were sailing were treacherous but as Alessia stared into his steel-blue eyes, she found the familiarity...

"Bucky!!" Alessia gasped out as she was startled awake, her heart pounding as the face of the mystery man finally was revealed. She laid back down onto her pillows, wiping the sweat from her brow as she closed her eyes and took deep breaths. In. Out. In. Out. In. Out. In. Out. Alessia finally opened her eyes and pushed herself to sit up, leaning back against the headboard behind her. She ran her hands down her face before getting out of the bed, she made her way into the shower and washed her hair. After spending almost ten minutes just standing under the water trapped within her thoughts about the memory, why did it hit her now?
Deciding to shake this off, Alessia quickly got out of the shower and changed into some jeans, a random shirt and her converses. She headed downstairs and made herself some coffee before she closed her eyes and let out a quiet yawn. "Good morning Alessia," Lana spoke as she poured herself some coffee. "Morning Lana," Alessia replied before making her way into the hub to work on the plans for the next mission. Jonas and Alessia were gonna be working this mission alone as the others do their parts, the aim is to take down Tempolize once and for all.

Alessia and Jonas sat in their designated van watching the surrounding environment carefully, a large warehouse stood a short distance away that seemed abandoned but they knew that wasn't factual. It was a common place for the rich to come and waste their money, it was a fight club that Hydra and Tempolize funded. And tonight, their main target was Evan Anderson's right hand man, William Sherman. The man himself would cause the group to fall, Evan losing everything.
Alessia watched closely as the targets car pulled up to the building, a classic SUV standing out in plain sight. The driver was the first person to step out of the vehicle, soon followed by a woman in a sparkly silver dress and long blonde curls that bounced as she walked. Finally, the target stepped out of the vehicle in a silver suit that matched his dates, he buttoned up the jacket with a smug smile on his face. William Sherman was a young man with no desire to commit to one woman or lifestyle.
The warehouse door opened as another man wandered out, Jonas nodded to Alessia as he switched on the projector that allowed them to hear distant conversations. "Welcome Mr Sherman, it is an honor to have you here," The man spoke as he shook William's hand. Alessia looked at Jonas, both of them rolled their eyes at the sight before them. "Is everything prepped?" Mr Sherman asks as he links arms with his date. They made their way into the warehouse, the door closing behind them.
Alessia adjusted the skirt on her suit before pulling her hair into a neat ponytail. "Alright, I'm ready," Alessia tells Jonas as he clipped on her mic and earpiece. "You gotta be extra careful, Alessia. One wrong move and he'll alert the systems. We don't need trouble with Hydra or their ghost, alright?" Jonas warned as he fixed up her top. "I know Jonas, It'll work out," Alessia assured him. The car disappeared into the distance as Alessia climbed out of the van and rushed off to the warehouse.
Alessia pushed off of the ground and onto the fire escape, she rushed up the stairs and got onto the roof. "I'm heading in now," Alessia tells Jonas before opening the warehouse window and slipping inside. Alessia landed silently onto the top floor of the large empty warehouse, she slowly made her way down to the main room where she spotted her target and the others. Alessia watched as the two men conversed with each other, the woman fixed her strapless dress in hopes of emphasizing on her large and most likely plastic chest.
What happened to the concept of independent woman? Alessia thought to herself as she rolled her eyes at the woman before moving closer to them. Alessia watched as the man typed a code into a keypad resulting in a door opening to reveal an elevator. "After you, Mr Sherman," The man spoke, bowing his head slightly after the woman had stepped into the elevator. Alessia waited a few minutes before dropping down to the main floor in front of the door, adjusting the skirt and blowing the loose strands of hair from her face.

Alessia approached the keypad and connected her phone to it, "Alright J, get me that code." Within a few seconds, the keypad unlocked and the door opened revealing the elevator again. Alessia disconnected her phone before stepping into the elevator, "And I'm in." Alessia stood silently in the elevator as she was lowered underground. Alessia's suit was made of stolen vibranuim, so she wasn't too worried about anyone shooting at her.
The ding of the elevator caught Alessia's attention, she lifted her head and tightened her ponytail before the doors opened. Her eyes darted around the empty hall, she slowly stepped out of the elevator and activated the mask to prevent any cameras catching her face. She turned the corner and spotted two guards in front of a door, "So I'm in... So far, so good." Alessia took a deep breath before walking into the guards' view, "Hello boys!" She smirked as they glared down at her, both ready to defend their boss.
The first guard stepped forward with the intent to attack but Alessia quickly dodged his punch before swiping out his legs. The guard lost balance and fell to the ground as the other guard stepped forward in an attempt to grab her, she dodged his attempt and punched him hard in the face. "Sorry men, I'm busy," Alessia spoke in Russian before knocking both of them out and dragging them into a nearby closet. Alessia adjusted the skirt once again before closing the closet door and turning to the main door that was guarded.

Alessia opened the door, the music began blaring through the room as she stepped in. She took in a deep breath as she looked around for her target, finally spotting him by the bar talking with a few others. Everyone was dresses in glamorous dresses and tailored suits, some with masks and others without, drinking champagne and whiskey as they spoke about meaningless topics that only mattered to the rich. Alessia made her way to the target, smiling at people as she walked by them.
Once Alessia reached the bar, she ordered herself a whiskey which caught William Sherman's attention. He made his way over to her with a smug smile, "My kind of woman." Alessia faked a smile at his words before downing her drink, the burning sensation tickled her throat. "What can I say? I hate stereotypes but love a good drink," Alessia answered back with a flirty smile. He smirked at her comment before ordering both of them another drink, leading into a boring conversation.
Alessia held her glass in her hand as Sherman went quiet for a moment as he looked around before focusing back on her. "So, why is such a beauty all alone?" Sherman asked her as he ran his fingers down her arm. "A feller done me wrong," Alessia responded. He raised his brow but before he spoke, his date called his name distracting him. Alessia took the opportunity to pour some cyanide into his drink, she sipped her own as Sherman turned back to her clearly tired of his dates whining. "She seems friendly," Alessia tells him as he lifted his drink.
Sherman huffed in agreement before downing his drink, he pulled the glass away as the burning of the cyanide pushed through his body. Alessia leaned forward to sherman, "Heil Hydra." Alessia turned away from Sherman and made her way out of the hall as Sherman's date screamed at the sight of his dead body. "Target has been eliminated," Alessia spoke into the comms as she made her way out of the warehouse, she smiled to herself knowing this was the one step they needed to cross off of the list. And as she fell asleep that night, she felt safer than the day prior.
