"Alright class, you may go. And don't forget you guys have your field trip next Monday, so if you want to go you better get those permission slips back to me before Friday", Mrs. Cameron announced but mostly everybody was gone.

Except me, I was trying to correctly organize my books and folders in my bookbag, and I couldn't help but do so with a smile on my face because of a certain someone.

She has clouded my mind ever since that night, I wonder what she was doing right now. Was she thinking about me like I was of her? Does she want to go to the movies again? Does she even want to spend time with me?

Dos-

"Mr. Newtown?", I quickly turn my head to look at Mrs. Cameron

"Crap", I whispered to myself. "Is everything alright you've been standing there while looking down smiling at your bookbag", Mrs. C said while looking at me. You're aware that school has ended and I'm sure you want to go home and play your gaming system with your friends", she said while beginning to pull out her keys to lock up.

"Your right Mrs C, sorry", I apologized while awkwardly looking down and started making my way to the door but turned back.

"Mrs. C do you need any help?", I asked while waiting for her response.

She gave me a smile.

"Haha it's alright Mr. Newton you just go home now".

I said my goodbye to my teacher then walked to the empty hallways that had an opening to the football field.

As I was making my way through the parking lot, my body was stiff and I moved faster trying to make It to my car as a familiar voice called out to me. I tried ignoring the voice of the person who tormented me since freshman year.

"Yo Church boy!" I heard the annoying voice say from behind me as I walked faster to my car.

"Hey, loser I know you hear me talking to you", I instantly started walking faster when I heard him getting closer to me, and I just prayed that I could get to my car before he could catch up to me.

"Thank the Lord", I said as I began unlocking my car door, but before I could open it someone had slammed it shut then they snatched me by the collar turning me around and held me against the car.

"Mmm," I groaned in pain and tried not to make eye contact with him, and just prayed that he would tell me what he wanted then leave me alone. God, why won't he just leave me alone, I thought to myself.

"I know you heard me calling you church boy!". Brandon said while tightening his grip on me. "And you just kept walking huh?", his eyes were piercing down at me, but I didn't dare raise my head and look up at him.

"Well, guess what nerd?", He slammed me against the car which caused my head to snap up from the impact and I was now looking into his cold eyes.

"You look at me when I'm talking to you, Church boy!" You understand", he gritted his teeth looking at me.

My breathing was uneasy and my heart was racing.

"Please j- just l- lea- leave m- me a- al- alone Br- Bran-Brandon", I said while trying to avoid his Death Stare at me.

"J-just l- lea- leave m- m- me a- al- alone Br- Bran-Brandon," he mimicked me and that's when I screwed my eyes shut to keep my eyes from getting wet.

"God you're such a dork" he laughed out while releasing my shirt and looking me up and down. "What girl do you think wants to be with a guy who can't even stand up for himself let alone you wouldn't be able to talk to one without stuttering".

His laughter echoes throughout the parking lot.

"And don't even get me started on how you dress".

I raise my brows and confusion, letting my eyes drift down to my outfit.

What was wrong with how I was dressed? I wonder while keeping my eyes on the ground, I feel a wet substance running down my cheeks and I quickly wipe my eyes with the back of my hand. But of course, I wasn't quick enough because Brandon had already seen it.

"Aww did I-"

"LEAVE HIM ALONE DOUCHEBAG!". We both turned around to see Kai standing there with a couple of his friends from the football team. Brandon's eyes had doubled in size when he saw them.

"Aye," man no need to get your football friends involved, Brandon", said while he raises his hands and surrenders and begins walking away backward. "I was leaving anyway", he then looks at me then back to Kai before he leaves.

I released the breath I had been holding in the entire time.

I turned to get into my car so Kai and his friends didn't see me crying, I just wanted to go home and forget this encounter.

"Hey," Kai said before I closed the door. "You ok man", he whispered while trying to look at my face but I just avoided his gaze.

"I'm f-fine Kai'' I said and put my key in the ignition. I really didn't want to have the "are you alright discussion" I just wanted to go home and forget this whole event. "Are you sure man because you kn-

"I SAID THAT I'M FINE! alright man".

He looked back at me with shock and I turned away from him. I know he was trying to help but It was embarrassing whenever Kai saved me from Brandon, like a bodyguard.

"I was just checking. I guess I'll talk to you later", he softly said and went back to his football friends.

I laid my head on the steering wheel silently crying to myself. "God, he's right", nobody's gonna want a stuttering, insecure, nerdy, Church boy like me.

I don't even know why Jaelen would want to give me the time of day? When she could have any guy that she wants, maybe she just feels sorry for me.

Even though she told me that wasn't the reason and that she likes me because I'm the sweetest most adorable attractive person she's ever met, she said her feelings for me were genuine.

"Ring!"

"Ring!" I'm pulled out of my thoughts when I see that my dad is calling me, I let out a sigh and begin to pull over so I can talk to him, because if I don't, he'll give me a whole lecture about safe driving.

"Yeah, Dad?", I let out a sigh and prayed this conversation wouldn't last long.

"Theodore, have you already left school?", he said with eagerness in his voice.

"Yeah, I just left and I'm on my way home now", I hoped that was all he wanted.

"I see" how far are you?".

"I'm about 20 minutes away,'' I announced, getting annoyed with all the unnecessary questions.

"oh that's perfect then your mother was wondering if you could pick up a few items from the market?"

I sigh looking out my window watching the cars zooming by.

"Sure", I rushed out because I wasn't in the mood for talking right now.

"Excellent, I'll send the list to your phone. make sure to get some gas If you need some come and straight home after you're done". he said then hung up the phone.

"Well I ever get a break from all of this?". I started my car back up and began making my way to the store.

I let out a breath.

"Jesus take the wheel".

"Ok, I got the eggs Check", cheese check" I said looking down at the items in my cart and checking them off the list.

"Ok now I ju-"

"Theodore?", I heard the most beautiful voice say from behind me and before you know it the volcano of butterflies is back and I'm blushing like a schoolgirl.

"H-hey Jay what are you doing here", I said while looking away so that she doesn't see me blushing. But instead of answering me, she throws her arms around my neck and she greets me with a kiss, before I had the chance to kiss her back she quickly pulls away and leaving me with a pout on my face

"I'm here for the same reason you're here, shopping", she clarified and raised her hand showing her shopping basket with a smirk on her face.

I scratch the back of my head.

"Oh um right of course that's the reason you're here", I began to ramble on. It's another thing I do when I'm nervous. "But you know there's a lot of other stores that you could have been in, but it just so happens it's the one I'm in", I mentally slap myself for what just came out of my mouth. Oh God, she probably thinks I'm not happy to see her.

"I'm so sorry, what I meant was that I'm surprised to see you, in here, you know I've never seen you in Charles Market before and I come here quite often", my eyes immediately widened at what I just said. and Jaelen is just standing there with her eyebrow raised and a smirk at the corner of her lips. I guess she finds this amusing.

"I mean not that I've been watching you are anything What I-"

"Do you want to go somewhere with me?", she said while biting her lip, and invading my personal space.

I immediately shake my head

"Ok," I said like the love sick puppy that I was. But only for her.
