Theodore 

"So you heard back from UWM yet?", Kai asked, popping a french fry in his mouth.

I just play with the tuna surprise that the lunch lady Made today. Imma say it right now she can say what she wants but I know that this stuff isn't tuna.

"No, not yet" I mean, I did write to them last month and I'm sure they have other students applying to their school as well, so it's going to take some time for them to get back to me", I told.

Kai just nodded his head as he continued eating his fries.

"So how have you and your shorty been?". 

I couldn't hide the smirk that appeared on my face as he mentioned my beautiful Jaelen. God I'm so in love with that girl that it hurts sometimes.

"We're great", I smiled. " I told her about our graduation next week and she said that she can't wait to see me walk across that stage so she can show me some love".

"Man I'm so happy for the two of y'all-"

"Well, well well", what do we have here?", Kai and I didn't bother to turn around because we knew all too well who the voice belonged to. As if I didn't have enough problems as it is and the last thing I need is his bs today.

"Hey Church boy, how ya been?", Brandon asked, as he placed his hands on the table me and Kai were sitting at. Leaned over it and his two sidekicks just stood to the side like statues, as if they were waiting for him to give them the word to attack.

"How bout you leave him alone", Kai stood up, coming face to face with him.

"Or what?. You and Church boy are gonna say a prayer to make me go away", he and his goons laugh, along with some of the other kids in the cafeteria.

Having everyone's eyes on me had my anxiety Rising and my heart racing.

God, I have to get out of here I thought, as I began to gather my things. But of course Brandon's pets are both standing side by side as if that's supposed to intimidate me.

"Where are you going, Church boy?", back to your whore of a girlfriend huh? Well let me tell you something Church b-"

I charged at Brandon which caused the both of us to fall to the ground and I didn't waste any time on letting my fist connect with his face.

See it's one thing when he disrespects me but he's clearly lost his damn mind if he thinks I'm about to sit here and let him disrespect the girl I love.

I landed another punch to his face and at that moment everyone and the cafeteria was either watching the fight or recording it on their phones.

"Hey, hey what's going on here? Break it up you two", principle Maurice demanded.

Me and Brandon were separated before he could land a punch to my face.

"Gentleman come with me", Mr. Maurice told, as the 5 of us began to follow him to his office.

Oh God, what have I done? This is just what that neanderthal wanted, get me in trouble a week before graduation.

But I'm not sure what that's gonna accomplish. It's not like it's gonna keep me from graduating because today is the seniors last day here, so all they can do is send me home early really.

"So why were you two fighting in the cafeteria?", principal Maurice asked. "Theodore, you start first".

"It wasn't my intention to fight him, me and Kai were just talking minding our own business then Brandon and his friend's came over to our table disturbing us". 

"And the only reason why we were fighting is because he called my girlfriend out her name and I didn't appreciate it in the slightest and that's what happened", I truthfully said, as Brandon just glared at me.

Principal Morris just looked at me nodding his head

"Alright then, Theodore you and Kai may go now" he said. 

"And what about us?".

"You 3 aren't going anywhere, and as a matter of fact I've been getting complaints from your teacher telling me you haven't been turning in your work". 

"And?".

"And, you have several missing assignments from three different classes, and seeing how this is the last day for seniors, it seems to me you 3 won't be graduating this week". Principal Morris told, as me and Kai tried our best not to laugh.

"Beautiful, I'm back, and I picked up some food for us!", I yelled as I made my way into the apartment.

And to my surprise, it was quiet and dark?

"Strange", I said, and placed the food items on the table. 

"Well since she's gone maybe I can run to the store right quick to grab some candles and get her some flowers, maybe some bubble bath so that we could have a romantic evening".

Jaelen pov

I tried my best to fix my makeup and make sure that my eyes aren't as red as they were before. 

God, I have to get myself together before I go back to Theodore, I see that he's left seven voicemails and 12 texts.

But I can't talk to him right now because he knows me like the back of his hand, if I were to pick up the phone he's gonna automatically know I've been crying, and I really don't want to upset him right now.

"Jaelen don't listen to what my father said"

"Theodore's finally putting his foot down and is not letting him control his life, and he doesn't like that so he tries to blame you and Win", he said as we came to a stop light and he turned to look at me.

"Let me tell you something, when me and Win went to Vegas and got married she was scared and she knew that our parents were gonna be upset".

"Especially my dad, I could hear his voice In my hear the entire car drive there. You don't know what you're doing, you're making a mistake. you're supposed to honor your mother and father how could you not tell your parents you were getting married"

"I told her it wasn't about our parents and that the only thing that mattered to me was her and our marriage". 

"And I sure as hell wasn't about to let my parents ruin our relationship, and you shouldn't let him ruin you and Theo's either", he said.

He parked the car and I noticed we were In front of my place. 

But before I decided to get out of the car I turned so that I could hug Peter. 

"Thank you so much for coming with me today", I thanked him, and he just hugged me back while letting out a chuckle.

"Don't mention it. You can repay me by not hurting my little brother. I never seen him as happy as he is when he's with you. He reminds me of myself when me and Win we're younger", he smiled in the distance.

I raise a brow. "You and Win weren't dating In high school", I clarify.

"Yeah, we were, she just doesn't like to admit it. But In the end she couldn't deny herself my love", he said.

We let out a laugh.

"I'll see you later Jaelen", he waved.

"Bye", he closed the door. I took a deep breath and began walking up the steps led to the front door .
