β Third Person Pov β
Choi Yeonjun hated Vivre's guts. Even after rejecting her proposals so many times, she managed not to lose her spirit and followed the boy everywhere since childhood.
To her, he was her first love that she couldn't give up on and for Yeonjun, she was the annoying clingy fly who would do anything to get with him.
Even going as far as creating rifts between him and his girlfriend, Briar.
Running away whenever he heard that annoying "Yeonjunie~"anywhere near him didn't work as she went to his house to spend time with him even though he locked himself up in his room whenever she came to visit.
But that day she crossed all limits and that's the first time Yeonjun thought about getting rid of Vivre for the first time.
β’ Flashback β’
* Two years ago *
"Yes! Everyone is finally asleep!I am going to devour you so good", squealed Yeonjun in happiness, staring as the clock strikes two, getting out of his bed.
"I have been waiting forever for this!" He made his way to the kitchen, looking around to see if anyone was awake.
He pulled out a metal pot and prepared the toppings for his grand feast. Yeonjun filled the pot with water and placed it on the stove for it to boil.
"Here comes the exciting part!" He thought as he did a happy dance, opening the topmost cabinet and pouring out all of its contents, searching for a specific pink coloured packet only to find it nowhere to be found.
"Where did it go?I am sure I placed it somewhere here", He mumbled, not finding his treasure in his special hiding spot.
So he searched every corner of the kitchen. If anyone came into the kitchen at this hour, they would assume that a thief got hungry and looted the kitchen.
Yeonjun groaned in frustration and made his way upstairs back to his room."Did I perhaps hide it here?" He thought, pulling the mattress off of his bed.
His eyes glossed over all of the colourful ramen packets but he couldn't find his precious treasure anywhere.
He opened the drawers placed near his bed and searched through his emergency ramen stash but found nothing.
Yeonjun made his way back to the kitchen and sat on the floor. The pot with boiling hot water and plate full of toppings mocked him from the kitchen counter.
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" He screamed in frustration, tears wetting the corners of his fox-like eyes.
Yes, Choi Yeonjun was crying because he couldn't find his precious ramen anywhere.
"OMG! THERE IS A THIEF IN OUR HOUSE!" yelled Mrs.Choi, Yeonjun's mother with a baseball bat in her hand.
She had been alerted by the lights activating due to the security system. At first, she went back to sleep assuming it must be her son going on one of his daily adventures towards the kitchen.
But she had to come and check out what happened after hearing that scream."What if someone broke in?" "Did they hurt Yeonjun?" She thought, hurrying towards the kitchen with a baseball bat in her grasp.
Mrs.Choi made her way to the kitchen with caution. The view in front of her baffled her. The pots and utensils are out of their designated spots. And various coloured ramen packets scattered everywhere.
She heard a familiar voice sobbing and followed its sound to find the source. And there he was, crying his eyes out, sitting in the middle of a circle of ramen.
She gave her son a look of disbelief before sitting down beside him.
"Why are you crying like your child got murdered?" Mrs.Choi asked and cringed when her question made Yeonjun start to cry even louder.
"I can't find my ramen!" He wailed.
"Is it not one of them?", She gestured towards the circle of ramen they were sitting in.
"No! I searched everywhere for it!"
"Wait...is it this one?", thought Mrs.Choi and decided to interrogate Yeonjun about this treasure of his.
"Was it light pink with specks of white in colour?"
"Yes"
"With a chicken drawn on top?"
"Yes!"
"Was it marked as 'Limited Edition' with silver on top?"
"Yes! Wait......did you eat it?" He glared at his mom, secretly planning to run away from home at the age of fifteen.
He can't accept this sort of betrayal. Especially not from his mom.
"It was Vivre. She came over earlier so I offered her ramen as a snack and she chose that one for the chef to cook", Mrs.Choi explained.
"VIVRE! OF COURSE, IT WAS HER!" He exclaimed as his eyes lit up in fury.
"Relax, it was just ramen. I'll get you another one-" His mom offered.
"Just ramen?! It was a Limited Edition one! I waited for months to buy it and fought a six year old to get the last pack and you fed it to that snake!" He expressed his frustration.
"Karma", His mom mumbled under her breath.
"I'll seek revenge for this! How dare she! I'll make her change her name from Vivre to Mourir(To die in French)! Mark my words!" He dramatically exited the kitchen, his mother sighed in response, fully used to his dramatic antics.
"I guess I'll just eat this-" She sighed, looking at the toppings that Yeonjun prepared.
She got up from the floor and extended her hand towards the plate, only for Yeonjun to come back out of nowhere and snatch the plate off of the counter.
"I don't share food with traitors", He sneered, taking the plate with him to eat the food.
* Present Time *
Yeonjun called his mom to inform her about the murder that took place in his school. After the shocking incident that took place, everyone was frantic.
A student was killed and there was a killer on the loose. But due to investigation purposes, no one was allowed to go back home.
"Hello, mom?"
"Hi! How are you doing, honey?" His mom replied with a cheerful tone.
"I am doing well but a murder took place-"
"I know Vivre was murdered .I hope that you are alright, honey", His mom's previously cheerful tone turned into a worried one.
"I am alright, mom"
"I know it is not appropriate to bring this up at a time like this."
"You can tell me anything, mom", He reassured.
"Did you kill Vivre?" She hesitantly asked, making him freeze for a bit.
His eyes widened in shock."No way, how did she know?" He panicked from within.
"What made you think that?" He stammered, scared to know how exactly his mother got to know about his crime.
"You wanted to seek revenge on her a few years ago because she ate your ramen?" Mrs.Choi replied.
His body filled with fury at the memory. All that hard work he went through to get that ramen and he didn't even get to eat it.
"Yeonjun?" His mom's voice brought him out of his stance.
"Yes?"
"Was it you, Healing?"
"Of course not! Why would I do something like that over something simple like that? You know, I don't hold grudges." He replied with a calm tone.
"Thank goodness! I thought she died because of you!" She sighed in relief, happy that her son didn't do something that could harm him.
"Of course,It wasn't me! Why would I make attempts to kill her?" He consoled his mom,his lips forming a slight smirk.
Because he does hold grudges and he does it really well
