You spend the entire day with your family and Liu-Mei on Sunday. You went to the local mall to eat. You made an effort to appear inconspicuous and unassuming so that no fans would notice you. You're still a little shaky after the dating scandal. Fortunately, your agent and BigHit blocked all video uploads and hate comments. Only Yana, Dylan's soulmate, had to be blocked from your phone. You told yourself that your friendship with Dylan was over because she and her friends were sending hurtful text messages.

Your heart was shattered by his stunt to discredit you or ruin your relationship with Taelove. You will never forgive him for that.

You informed your friend that you were done with him and that they should really just keep him away from you. Sana and Dahyun called you frequently to check on your well-being.

You told Liu-mei about your new in-laws' invitation to Daegu for a week of rest. She and your family urged you to accept the offer and spend time with them. They adore you tremendously. Taes'dad will meet you at Daegu International Airport. You found a flight ticket waiting for you when you opened your e-mails on Monday morning before you and Liu-Mei got ready to take an uber back to campus. Your parents had an early business meeting in another town.

You felt so at ease returning to campus, and Liu-Mei only had two subjects to write on Monday afternoon and Tuesday. You can hardly wait to wrap up your third year and begin your post-graduate studies.

You put on a cream-white designer sweater jersey dress with a blue stripe. Almost a sailor's style. You pair it with your comfortable white Converse sneakers and a cute blue handbag that Samiya gave you.

When you returned to your dorm, all of your college friends were hugging you. They assured you that it was not your fault and that Dylan was purely a douche.

Sana smiled as Liu-Mei led you to their room after you had taken your luggage to your room.

Sana sat on the bed with her photography notes, and Dahyun was packing her notes and study materials into a back bag so that they could go to the library and cram more information in before the exams in the afternoon. You studied all night Saturday and Sunday to make sure you received the highest grades. As an A-student, you cannot afford to get low grades.

"Are you guys ready to run the last leg of the race?" Liu-Mei asked cheerfully." I can't believe we're almost done!" She exclaimed joyfully as she twisted her hair into a messy bun.

"The design paper will be tough...a full three-hour paper," Dahyun said, worried.  "hope I can ace it."

"We'll make it," you say softly as you assist Sana in gathering her books.

"Are you sure you're okay, Yunru?" Sana inquired. " Are you and your soulmate on good terms? I'm going to kill Dylan for trying to destroy your relationship." She was enraged once more, just thinking about your selfish best friend.

"Yeah...he believed me," you nod. " He saw the video that you sent Sana. Taelove was even angrier at himself for failing to protect me. Even at the concert, he was overcome with emotion. I felt terrible for causing him such anguish. In his rage, he even broke his phone. I genuinely love him, and the unnecessary pain Dylan inflicted on us was unforgivable."

"I'm not sorry you stopped your friendship with Dylan," Sana pursed her lips. " For several months, he was not a good friend to you. He was obnoxious, selfish, and obsessive, and we fear for your safety in his presence."

"Taehyung must come to China and punch him in that smug mouth of his," Dahyun snorted. He needs to pay closer attention to Yana.

You look distressed," I'm just regretful to see our lifelong friendship come to an end like this. He was always a part of my life, and right now I'm so mad at him that I don't even miss him. I just want to forget everything and move on...without him."

Liu-Mei appeared befuddled "Don't be. He is the worst. And he doesn't want you to be happy. So, instead of being sad, rejoice that "love-bloodsucker" is no longer in our lives. We're going to Japan to see the shows."

Dahyun squealed, "Oh, my goodness. I forgot you two would be "interns" at the shows. I'm so envious of you right now."

You snigger softly, "Don't be. Being a member of the BTS crew is extremely demanding. And I still have to deal with management, BangPD, and Bangtan."

Sana smiles and softly wraps her arms around your shoulders to comfort you "Don't be afraid, they love you, and I can't wait to see ARMY's reaction when the Bells are revealed. It's an exciting coming day to look forward to"

Dahyun excitedly clapped her hands. " The Bells will be the most famous people."

You just shook your head, smiling inwardly as the rest of you made your way to the University Library for some last-minute studying. Dylan and Tao were told by Liu-Mei that they were no longer welcome in your study group or friendship circle. When he pulled that stunt, he lost that privilege.

The Library was relatively empty, and you were relieved to see that your usual table near the massive windows was still vacant.

You all took your seats, took out your notes, and began going over your work. Liu-Mei, Sana, and Dahyun are all working on the same design modules and writing the same paper. You have already turned in your editing assignment, and all you need to do now is write a Film Editing paper. Which will be a piece of cake.

Sana sighed deeply as she closed her book after half an hour of studying."I can't believe it...I'm tired of studying. I think I have all of the facts, and my brain is currently seeking sugar." She leaned back, her arms stretched out above her head. . Her eyes were gleaming.

Liu-Mei does seem giddy with excitement "Me too. I don't think I can add any more info to my brain right now...my brain is fried, so let's go eat some steamed dumplings and noodles. Today's menu at the cafeteria is delicious."

Your eyes glowed with affection as you looked at your excited friends, and you all agreed to go and fill your empty tummies with some nutritious food before heading to the exam halls.

You were in a relaxed mood, gathering your books and pens, when you noticed the two culprits approaching your table with sheepish expressions in your peripheral vision, While slowly placing your books in the bag, your glossy raven hair fell like a curtain over your face, shielding you. Dylan's face was filled with guilt, and Tao appeared as odd as your best friend- no, ex-best friend.

Your best friends were openly hostile to the two boys. Some of the students in the study section were looking at your group with great interest. They were following the entire drama on social media and felt terrible about it. As a result, when they noticed Dylan conversing with Your agitated friends, their attention was drawn to the small drama. 

They take care not to record any juicy videos or anything else because people who posted videos about Yunru last week were fined or sued. So they avoided any drama. It was very interesting for them to observe the most popular students at the university.

Your friends look at the two with open contempt.

Liu-mei's eyes were slits, and she said angrily, "What are you doing here? ...didn't you get the memo? Dylan, we're no longer friends...skedaddle "She dismissively waved them off with her small hand, but Dylan ignored her irritation and focused his wary gaze on your stoic face. You were still busy, and you kept yourself distracted by stacking up your friends' books.

Dylan took a deep breath and sighed heavily as he raised his arms in defense "Liu-Mei, take a chill pill...I just want to talk to Yun."

He was putting one of his hands on Liu-Meis' face, pushing her slightly backward, which she clapped away disgustedly.

"She doesn't want to talk or see you, Dylan," Sana says sternly. "You weren't much of a friend to her. So leave her alone!!" She positioned herself in front of you so Dylan couldn't see you. He tried to push Sana away just to get a better look at you.

You appear pale, distant, cold, and stoic, but in his eyes, you are the most beautiful girl. But you don't want to make eye contact with him. You've had it with him.

"Yun, please hear me out," Dylan says, his face disheartened. "It was only a small joke—— I didn't ....I had no idea it would spiral out of control and become a viral topic on social media—-"

"Oh, it's a joke!...look how crazy I'm laughing ...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA."Dahyun laughed out loud, shook her purple, lavender hair around her face, as if the situation was so amusing, and then abruptly stopped to look at him with a cold deadpan expression, "Really...is that what it was? A little prank. YOU are the joke, Dylan!!. You really hurt Yunru . You force yourself on her like a pervert. Oh my goodness! She has a mate. Even if you reject your unsuitable soulmate, YOU ARE MATED and that jealous Yana is just as delusional as you are. Yunru is in love with her soulmate. What else must we do to break through that metal skull of yours?" 

She huffs and fiercely slings her backpack over her shoulders and pushes Dylan and Tao aside as she notices Sana and Liu-Mei standing in front of you with their hands folded, like self-appointed bodyguards.

Tao appeared agitated "Could you please tone it down, girls? Jeez. It's not a big deal. We only want to apologize to her."

"Oh, my good grief. Did you make a heartfelt apology on social media? claiming that it was a prank... a joke... not a big deal. You guys are so blind. You forgot that Yunru was a rising star in China. They called her China's fairy...but you two dumb stupids single-handedly made her lose fans because of your so-called prank that you called a joke!!." Dahyun exclaimed and shook her head in disbelief.

Sana scoffs, pulling her brown hair over her shoulders "It's just a shame I'm not as sweet and lenient as Yunru  or her agency. I'll file a lawsuit against you for sexual harassment and attempted sexual assault. Dylan, you negatively affected her. So forget about it. Yunru  isn't talking to you today because she has a final paper due, and your half-stupid apologies are pointless. Just leave us alone."

With an expressionless face, you stood up straight behind Sana "It's okay, girls, we're just wasting time. I'm hungry, and we need to eat right away." You get on with your business as if Dylan and Tao don't exist in your world. You sling your backpack over your shoulders and join arms with Liu-Mei, who looked smugly at Dylan's unimpressed expression. He despises it when you dismiss him in that manner.

Dylan takes a look at your icy demeanor. "Yun...please let me just talk to you and explain—-apologize" he look at you with a soft, pleading expression.

You looked up and gave him an anguished look, saying, "—-we're not friends anymore—-so don't bother." You look at your friends and tell them to hurry up. Sneers are directed at the two nervous guys. They can't believe their favorite girls treat them so badly.

Dylan will not give up as he tries to grab your forearm, but you look at him with open disgust as you abruptly pull it out of his hands; he was affronted by your coldness. Something he'd never felt before: "Just don't touch me and leave me the hell alone...Dylan!!..." Then you stare him down.

 Your large dark eye swelled up with pools of tears as you recalled the agony and pain you endured for nearly three days without your soulmate's affection and love.

The agony of tapping into his devastating emotions, the sadness and loneliness of not hearing his love affirmations, and the fact that you didn't even hear his husky voice to soothe your bond. Sleepless nights and a constant hole in your heart. 

That triggered your suppressed rage, which you directed at your selfish, obnoxious ex-best friend, and you turned to him with locked jaws, seething." —-Are you excited right now? You must be ecstatically happy. Why don't you and Tao go out and celebrate ruining my relationship and reputation? —-Wasn't that your ultimate goal, Dylan? To alienate me from my soulmate. To...make him doubt my love for him. You succeeded! Well done! Your victory trophy will be delivered to you. So, goodbye, and have a fantastic life!"

Dylan's eyes widen as he hears your deep heartfelt sadness and the most deflated coldness in your tone. Almost like death. But your words cut through his smugness.

Dylan looks at you with wide eyes, "Yun—-"

"Don't ever talk to me again...Dylan Wang is dead to me," you say as you raise your hand to stop him from talking. You looked at your stunned friends and nodded quietly for them to follow because you were done.

Dylan was astounded as Tao's jaws were practically on the ground. He was speechless as he observed you and your bodyguards leaving the library. Liu-mei turned menacingly around and gave the boys the middle finger in front of the huge student body that had begun to fill the library. A lot of snickers follow your group out.

Dylan clenched his jaws tightly, following the girl's movement out of the massive exit glass doors.

"Oh, my gawd! Dylan, Yunru is serious. She is extremely angry." Tao looked concerned because he know how much her presence means to Dylan. They messed up big time.

Dylan wiped his face and looked at his best friend, "I know...but I also know my baby," he said. " She will soon forgive me. Just maintain a close watch on us because we can never live without each other. But...did you hear ?" Dylan's face was graced with a huge grin.

He simply patted his friend on the back and led them behind rows of books in a library.

Tao furrowed his brows as Dylan looked around to see if anyone was trying to listen in on their conversation.

Tao looked at his friend, perplexed "What! All I've heard is that she now despises you ". He speaks in hushed tones.

Dylan smirked and arched his brow, his confidence restored " Duh! Her relationship, she claims, is ruined. Do you understand what that means?"

Tao furrowed his brows, unsure what his friend was on about. "Yeah...her soulmate is mad or something," he speculated.

"Her soulmate is no longer a factor. He believes she is in love with someone else and is considering leaving her. Remember what I said about high-ranking citizens getting the serum even if it isn't perfected and leaving their soulmates—-gosh, this is the best day of my life. He's finally gone from our life." Dylan throws his head back in delight, and with his hands in a fist, he makes a celebratory gesture with an audible "yes!" Accompanied by a smug smile.

Dylan's mental state seemed to bother Tao. He simply does not understand Dylan's reasoning.

"Dylan... it's not how it works with red-gold soulmates—-he will eventually forgive her and take her back. They will never stop loving each other, Dyl because the system has already married them. Accept that she is no longer available to you and just try to move on." Tao stated softly,  not wanting to hurt or insult his friend. 

However, facts are facts. When he saw the pain in Yunrus' eyes, he felt so ashamed. He should never have decided to join the scheme with Dylan.

She was the girl he had a huge crush on but couldn't ask her out because of Dylan's ban. Dylan compelled all of his friends to sign a friendship contract that said, "never try to date Yunru," All of their friends, including Qianfan, who innocently remarked that Yun was very adorable. ..had to sign thecontract in their first year. It was amusing to all their friends how they were all explicitly banned from looking at or talking to Yunru for an extended period of time. Dylan was odd before, and he's even worse.

Dylan scoffed, his eyes narrowed and fists clenched, "Tao...Yunru is mine. She was always mine. Even if the system marries her off to that elusive, stupid soulmate of hers... I know my girl. She will never form an intimate bond with anyone. She will be completely lost until she seals it and gets a wedding ring on her finger, but she is too innocent to go that far—-"he waggled his brows.

Tao scoffed softly, "Were you there when she was with her soulmate? She could have already shared a bed with him several times. Why do you think she looked so depressed? They must have formed an unbreakable bond a long time ago. She is no longer the little girl who relied on you for protection. Her soulmate is now doing so. I believe it is past time to let go."

Tao gave his best friend a soft but serious look.

"Yunru is innocent," Dylan smiled, rolling his eyes. " I can tell you she would never do anything intimate without first having the civil wedding. Tao, she is mine...and mine only."

He cracks a smile. Even if her soulmate is well-known, he will never forget the fact that his girl kissed another man. That fact will have an impact on every red-gold-string male soulmate. He made sure he kissed her passionately.

As he pondered, he was suddenly hit by the fact that a major Korean entertainment company, such as BigHit, had come to Yunru's defense. Is she also an intern like Liu-mei? He needs to do extensive research on Big Hit on all of their artists and how Yunru suddenly fits in,  for them to make all social posts disappear. They must know influential people in the industry. Yunru's agency is also well-known in China.

When he and Tao decided to leave the library, a sly, satisfied expression crossed his face. Yunru will realize they were meant to be together. He will never let her force him away from her life. He intends to stay her life. It was a system flaw that connected them with other unsuitable partners. 

He is the only person who can and will satisfy Yunru Lee. She belongs to him and him alone. Even if he secretly beds Yana to satisfy his physical needs and keep Yana energized and happy, his heart will always be with Yunru.

Tao simply shook his head as he trailed behind his friend, whom he greatly admired. However, this obsession with Yunru is unhealthy.

After a delicious, wholesome lunch, you were thoughtful and quiet as you walked to the examination hall to take your exams.

You can't get your mind off your altercation with Dylan in the library. It was the first time you had such a massive issue. Even if you tried to keep your emotions in check so that Taehyung wouldn't tap into them, it left you unsettled.

You have just dismissed all negative thoughts and mentally brought yourself back into order.

You are writing in a different venue than the students in the Design module. Film Editing is your major subject. After today, you are free to take a well-deserved vacation.

You can't wait to spend some quality time with the Kims.

You all exchange hugs before heading to your exam locations. The students all appeared anxious and stressed. You just smirked as you sat down at the designated corner table. Some of the students looked at you with interest, but you ignored them as they whispered excitedly to their friends. 

You totally ignore them and focus on your mental state in order to prepare. You already know you're going to ace the paper. You only have a few minutes before receiving your exam paper. You noticed your phone's notification. Wow!

Taelove and Ms. Bai, your agent.

You quickly open the message to read it before you have to put all of your phones away.

You begin by replying to your agent's text.

Ms. Bai: Hiya there, my little sunshine. I'm so glad we were able to resolve all of last week's issues. And... get ready for it! YESS. You've been cast in a commercial for a Keihl beauty product. You've been chosen as their newest beauty ambassador. They saw your Casio commercial. So there you have it, my lucky charm. The shoot is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 5:00 a.m. I've emailed you the brief. Just study it and you'll be fine. Congratulations, my dear. After all of the anguish and viral humiliation, you're back on top. You are popular, and you got verifications on all your social media platforms. You are now a celebrity and an influencer...

As you read your agent's text, your heartbeat quickens. Woah! You were overjoyed to learn that companies are still interested in using you. You'll drive yourself to the set because your finals are over. Your flight to Daegu will depart in the late evening. It worked out so well with you.

You respond quickly to your agent before moving on to the text messages.

 As you opened his personal text, a small smile appeared on your face and your heart began to warm. Taehyung received his phone back.

VANTE: Best wishes on your final paper. I'm praying for you to succeed, darling. So, keep in mind that I love you with all of my heart and miss you... call me later. I have a new phone.

You smiled and resolved to speak with him later. Because you can't seem to stop talking when you're online. Everyone in the Bangtan chat group wished you the best wishes with your exams. All of the hyungs were full of encouraging words.

When it was time for the exam, you quickly closed your phone. You forgot about everything around you and began focusing on the three-hour paper in front of you,  But first, you send happy thoughts to your handsome soulmates' emotional link.

You became breathless with yearning when you thought about him.
