The next morning, Taehyung woke up in Namjoon's room. Well, first of all, he was pretty sure the room belonged to Namjoon's since there were pictures of different crab species on his desk (and Namjoon loves crabs). Also, there was a F.R.I.E.N.D.S poster pinned to the wall.

It took Taehyung a while to figure out how to get to school from Namjoon's house, but luckily Namjoon didn't set a password for his phone. So Taehyung checked the map in his phone and realized it was conveniently walking distance away.

School went as usual, as Namjoon does spend most of his time reading alone anyways so there was no one disturbing him. Though, there is one concern...

"Joon babe~" he heard a whisper as he whipped his head to see Jin. Taehyung forced himself to grin back lovingly. "Heyyy, Jin."

The older leaned over Namjoon's desk, giving a cute little pout. "I had the weirdest dream yesterday. I dreamt that I was Taehyung for the whole day. Insane isn't it?"

Taehyung froze on his seat... right... he completely forgot that Jin was in Taehyung's body yesterday. Well at least he thinks it's just a dream.

Just then, Jungkook popped up next to Jin and Taehyung's heart did a little skip. "Whatcha guys talkin' about?"

Jin raised his eyebrows at Jungkook in surprise, and Taehyung cursed in his mind. Jin doesn't even know he went out on a "date" with Jungkook... oof this is gonna be awkward.

Before Jin could talk about his weird "dream" of his, Taehyung changed the topic "Nothing! So, Jungkook. How's that math test today that we studied on?"

Jungkook gasped, "Oh shit! I have it next class and I haven't studied much today!" Jungkook rushed to his own seat, pulling out his notebook. Jin and Taehyung exchanged glances before whipping their heads to Jungkook again, who jumped up his seat. "OH! By the way, Namjoon. There's one question I don't get..." The boy walked over to Namjoon, his eyebrows folding in confusion as he focused on his notebook.

Taehyung hesitated a bit when he looked at the question, because it was the same type of question Taehyung normally struggled with. Though, with Namjoon's intelligence, he surprised himself by solving it in less than a minute.

"Namjoon!" Jungkook raised an eyebrow in admiration. "That was fast... how did you even solve that..."

Taehyung easily explained his process, and strangely the question felt as easy as if he was explaining why two plus three equals five. As he spoke he found Jungkook nodding his head in understanding. Though, Jin throwing jealous looks at Jungkook. Taehyung mouth a "I'll talk to you another time" to Jin while giving him a wink to assure that their relationship was safe. Jin blushed a little from the wink and did a pout in response while heading back to his seat to talk to his gang.

Taehyung focused back on Jungkook's math, which the boy attempted to try the same question again without looking at Taehyung's work. Immediately, Taehyung spotted a mistake as he patiently helped Jungkook out. "Hold on, bud, I think you're missing a negative sign here."

Jungkook puffed his cheeks in annoyance, lightly tapping his pencil on his forehead. "Oh silly silly Jungkook!" Taehyung couldn't help but smile at the boy's adorableness.

After a few more questions, the bell rang and Jungkook whined. "Nooo... it's time for my math test..."

Taehyung patted Jungkook's shoulder, assuring him that he'll do fine... "just watch out for some minor mistakes, okay?" Jungkook did a little smile in response, "okay, hyung."

The math test went must easier than Taehyung expected. In fact, he was the first one to finish it. Well, what can he say, he's one of the smartest in school. As a result, he was also dismissed early from the teacher to get lunch first. Sweet.

Taehyung arrived at the empty cafeteria, getting some food while reading the book that Namjoon left in his backpack. Although reading wasn't really something Taehyung enjoyed as much, Taehyung still had to pretend that he was Namjoon. So he ended up reading this whole novel about what crabs were like in the past and their evolution. (yup, everything just gotta be about 'em crabs)

Just then, students started to swarm in the cafeteria from their classes and soon the whole place was filled with laughs and chatters.

Taehyung tried spotting Jungkook, but he was nowhere to be seen. It wasn't until he overheard some students' conversation.

"Dude, is he okay? I saw him crying after the test."

"I dunno, he probs screwed up his math test. Poor guy."

As soon as he heard that, Taehyung bolted to the math classroom. Somehow, he just knew that it was Jungkook. The boy didn't seem so confident before the test started.  Plus, he was missing during lunch, which Taehyung knew the boy would never miss even a second of his favorite time of the day.

Indeed, it was Jungkook with his head on his desk, his body sulking on his seat. Beside him was a boy named Hoseok, holding a box of tissues.

"Bro, it's okay. The test was hella hard anyways. I even struggled with writing my name at first." Hoseok handed the boy a tissue to wipe his tears.

As Taehyung walked closer to check on Jungkook, he could see the boy's eyes and nose all red from the crying. His eyes still filling with tears.

Hoseok popped up, catching Jungkook's attention "Bruh, do you wanna know how I got my answers? I basically asked the teacher and she got tricked into telling me the answer for it!"

Jungkook widened his eyes, half surprised, half laughing. "For real?"

"Yeah! It was soo funny, the moment she realized she gave out the answer. She was giving this look." Hoseok slightly opened his mouth, like that pikachu meme. Jungkook laughed even harder.

The two laughed for a while until Jungkook realized that Taehyung was at the door. "Namjoon?"

"Kooks, you alright? I heard about the test and everything...."

"Yeah. I guess I didn't study hard enough." Jungkook looked at Hoseok. "But Hoseok cheered me up and everything. So I'm okay now!"

"No probs, kid. Glad you're feeling better." Hoseok smiled widely at the boy.

Jungkook returned the smile, getting up his seat and grabbing his things. Meanwhile, Hoseok helped him throw away his tissues.

Well, literally throwing them NBA style.

"Jungkook, you think I can get this shot?" Hoseok yelled before throwing a backhand shot dramatically. What's even funnier was that he missed by just a few inches. "NOOooO" Hoseok screamed, with Jungkook and Taehyung laughing behind him.

"Lemme try!" Jungkook did a quick freehand throw and flawlessly got the tissue in the trash.

"And he scOReS! Unbelievable! We have a nEw cHAmPiON" Hoseok mimicked a basketball commenter. Jungkook played along by running around, throwing his hands in the air like a basketball star.

Namjoon couldn't help but laugh at the two, clapping his hands and hooting like a basketball fan. "Aright guys, it's time to get lunch."

Jungkook and Namjoon both had free block after lunch, as Taehyung recalled. So Taehyung decided to use this opportunity to spend some time with Jungkook.

Taehyung looked around for Jungkook, which he eventually found him sitting alone on his usual table. Taehyung felt slightly bad for Jungkook since he normally eats with Taehyung during lunch. But today, he was Namjoon. Besides, Jungkook probably has a crush on Namjoon. So it would benefit Taehyung in this case.

Taehyung headed over to Jungkook's table, sitting next to the boy. "Jungkook-ah."

Jungkook looked up from his food, his mouth stuffed with french fries. Despite so, he attempted to give a tiny smile with his puffed cheeks. "Nomhoon."

"You have free block later, don't you?"

"Yup."

"Wanna come with me to the library? I got free time too." Taehyung suggested, hoping that Jungkook would say-

"Sure!" Jungkook nodded his head casually while sipping his banana milk.

After waiting for Jungkook to finish his lunch, the boys headed off to the library.

They found a study space, sitting next to each other. Jungkook got out his English homework and started working. Taehyung, on the other hand, was reading a book while sitting on a beanbag.

It wasn't long before Jungkook walked over to join Taehyung on the beanbag, holding up his English homework. "Jooooon. Can you help me out with this question?"

The older motioned the boy to sit next to him, and Jungkook landed on the beanbag, causing Taehyung to bounce up a little. Taehyung leaned in to get a better look at his work.

"There's this word I wanted to use on my poem. But I'm not sure the right word for it..."

"Give me the context, Kooks."

Jungkook blushed a little while lowering his voice. "It's about... a guy that I like."

The side of Taehyung's lips twisted into a smile.  Adorable, writing a love poem to his crush.

"And I'm trying to describe this feeling of both excitement and happiness."

With Namjoon's intelligence, Taehyung easily listed out several words. Though, there was one that stood out to him the most. "Hmmm... what about... Euphoria?"

"Euphoria?" Jungkook's doe eyes widened in curiosity.

"Yeah. Euphoria. It's not really an easy term but its a very meaningful word."

"I love it. Euphoria." Jungkook giggled while writing it down on his notebook. "E-U-F"

"No, no. E-U-P-H"

"Oh! E-U-P-H-O-R-I-A." Jungkook placed his pencil down to read over his sentence, "You are the cause of my... euphoria."

Taehyung's heart pounded. "What?"

Jungkook covered his mouth, shaking his head. "Oh! No, hyung. I wasn't directing that to you! Sorry."

Taehyung heart sank a little, but he nodded his head with a smile. "It's okay, Kookie."

After a while of silence, Taehyung couldn't help but ask, "What's the love poem for?"

Jungkook blushed, "It's not a.. love poem. We're supposed to write a poem for someone we're thankful for."

The older leaned closer to Jungkook to take a slight peek. Junkook yelped. "AH no! No peeking!" Jungkook lightly smacked Taehyung on the shoulder.

"Whaat, aw c'mon Kooks. At least tell me what you're thankful for!" Taehyung teased, though careful not to push the boy too much.

Jungkook's cheeks blushed even more. "Mmmm, alright hyung... But that's only because your a good friend and you've helped me a lot with my studies."

Taehyung heart melted hearing that, though he tried to keep a calm face. "It's no biggie, kid."

The younger took a deep breath, eyeing Taehyung cautiously before saying "Well...it's for someone in my class.  I guess I wanted to thank him for always making me laugh and-"

"HEy it's PROMpOsAL TImE eVerYBODY!" A familiar voice boomed through the school speakers.

"It's ya sunshine, J-Dope!" Hoseok's voice continued as a few students at the library was snickering at the nickname he gave himself. "Could Min Yoongi please come to the soccer field for me?"

A few rows away from Taehyung and Jungkook, a guy with pale skin and jet black hair sighed loudly as he got up. Beside him, his whole gang was hooting at him. "Wooooo! Go get him, man!"

Both Taehyung and Jungkook raced to the balcony. And, like everyone else in the whole school, their eyes were on the raven-haired boy.  Even Hoseok, who was sitting cooly on the grass, eyes glancing at the boy with love and excitement. The Yoongi guy stuffed his hands in his pockets as he coolly walked over the soccer field. Taehyung had never seen someone so calm about a promposal.

"Min Yoongi, will you be my prom d-"

Before Hoseon could finish his sentence, Yoongi snatched the microphone from his hand. "Ya know, I'm not really a fan of public promposals. Whattaya say we talk in private and find out.." Yoongi flashed a wink at Hoseok "...J-Dope?"

Hoseok's face flushed as pink as his red hair as he nodded quickly. The crowd wooed loudly.

"Dude, that literally means no though." Taehyung overheard one of the classmates whisper to the other.

"Yeah, like he's just being polite."

Taehyung pushed away those thoughts.  There's no way this guy's gonna decline Hoseok.  Especially in front of the entire school.  The guy Yoongi seems pretty cool, and the way he winked at Hoseok just seems like he was interested.  But at the same time, who knows what's going on in that guy's head.

"Hyunggg, did you just see that?" Jungkook giddily bounced over to the older, unable to contain his excitement.  "Hoseok hyung is going to the prom with Yoongi!"

Taehyung smiled at the boy, "well, we don't know that yet, Jungkook."

Jungkook shook his head quickly, "nooo, I'm sure he'll say yes!"

"Why so confident, Kooks?" Taehyung chuckled at Jungkook's adorable response.

"Because Hoseok is so funny!  No one can say no to someone like him!  It would be so fun to go to the prom with Hoseok cause he can dance and make funny jokes and stuff!"

Taehyung heart broke a little by the comment, knowing that he himself wasn't funny nor could he dance as well as Hoseok.  It was just those little things that made him less of an ideal date for Jungkook.  Perhaps... what Jungkook wanted wasn't intelligence... Perhaps it was humor?  Besides, Jungkook mentioned about writing a thank you poem to someone for making him laugh.  That clearly means he was interested in someone funny like Hoseok... right?

Taehyung wasn't so sure about that, but he'll soon find out.
