3. Handsome

Fortunately, Jin's family assistance was able to drive him to school (talk about being rich, huh), or else Taehyung would never have figured out how to get to school from Jin's house.
As soon as Taehyung (who was now Jin) entered the school campus, people started glancing at him. Girls were giving him shy waves. Even the guys, whom some were straight, were giving interested looks at Jin. It was insane to Taehyung, having so many eyes watching him with admiration. He was then caught up with two fancy looking girls, Jenny and Irene, who apparently were Jin's besties. Taehyung tried his best to shake them off, saying that he had to get to class early today. Thank god Jin didn't have same classes with them, or else they'd find out.
Taehyung stepped into English class, where he easily found Jungkook in his usual seat in the back. He was waiting for Taehyung, as usual, while reading a comic book. How adorable.
Taehyung went over to greet Jungkook, which Jungkook waved back with a confused face.
Oh right, fuck, I'm Jin... Taehyung frowned and went to find Jin's seat.
"Jin." He heard someone whisper in the front row. It was Namjoon. He gave a little smile, revealing his charming dimples under his cute glasses. OH YEAH, Namjoon is Jin's secret boyfriend. RIGHT, that's gonna be a problem. Taehyung tried his best to return a loving smile at Namjoon as well, mouthing the words "good morning!".
The entire day went out fine, though Taehyung couldn't help but glance at Jungkook's lonely face sitting alone. It hurts to see Jungkook like that.
But then Taehyung remembered that he was Jin. And that would mean he would be so handsome to the point where anyone would want to be his boyfriend... right? Hence, Taehyung was certain his handsomeness would attract Jungkook completely. Besides, who could say no to the leJINdary worldwide handsome? (okay, I'm sorry for the pun)
During the break, Taehyung decided to visit Jungkook to ask him out. Double checking, Taehyung made sure Namjoon was somewhere else, he walked close to Jungkook. During so, he sensed a lot of the students eyeing on him, which gave him some pressure. As he approached, Jungkook placed down his comic book and was giving the shocked face Tae remembered giving Jin when they first met. Well, what can he say, Jin has never talked to Jungkook before either.
"Hi, Jungkook" Taehyung leaned over at Jungkook's desk. "I know we've been classmates for a while now, but I was wondering if you would like to go out with me after school? You know, to get to know each other?"
It took Jungkook a while to process before he smiled back. "S-Sure, but I'd have to finish my math homework with Namjoon first."
Taehyung raised his eyebrows at the response. Namjoon? Didn't know Jungkook did homework with Namjoon. "Kay, I'll see you later then."
As Taehyung headed back to Jin's seat, he heard a bunch of chatters from the other students. Some, who were brave enough, even asked Taehyung what happened. "Jin," A girl (Taehyung wasn't sure her name) called. "Did you just ask Jungkook out?"
"No, just making a friend." Taehyung shrugged, sounding casual. At the same time, he saw Namjoon entering the classroom with books in his arms.
"Oh." She laughed. "I actually thought you were asking him out. That would've been so weird."
Honestly, Taehyung felt like punching her. He took a glance at Namjoon, who was also frowning at that comment. No wonder Jin and Namjoon never confessed their love for each other in public. He knew Jin's so-called "friends", or classmates would criticize and judge him.
Somehow, Taehyung managed to go through the entire school day without anyone suspecting that he wasn't Jin. Well, what can Taehyung say, he is pretty good at acting anyways.
At last, it was finally time to see Jungkook. Taehyung accidentally slammed open the classroom, which scared Jungkook and Namjoon, who seemed to be the only ones inside. Jungkook giggled from Taehyung's clumsiness, giving him a tiny wave. "Hi, Jin. Sorry, this might take a while. Do you wanna join us?"
Taehyung, who was partially curious on what's going on between the boys, said yes.
"Okay, so try out this next question similar to the one I just taught you." Namjoon pointed his finger on the next question while watching Jungkook scribble down the equation. Taehyung felt Namjoon's eyes glance at him once in a while as he did so.
The first thing Taehyung thought was that...
...Jungkook and Namjoon were sitting way too close for his liking. Since Namjoon had to look at Jungkook's work, their arms were touching each other.
The second thing was that Jungkook could've asked Taehyung instead? Was it because Taehyung wasn't as smart as Namjoon? Yup, Taehyung's jealousy was growing off the charts.
Taehyung's thoughts instantly cleared when he heard a soft giggle from Jungkook as Namjoon whacked him lightly on his head. "Ya! How does 3 plus 6 equal 8?! Oh my goodness, Kooks."
Taehyung chuckled at Jungkook's clumsiness, finding it adorable. Namjoon also noticed this and pointed at Taehyung, "Hey, even Jin hyung can do better than you!"
"My math isn't that bad, Joon!" Taehyung retorted, trying his best to sound like Jin, and the room filled with laughter.
For the remainder of the time, Taehyung watched as Jungkook constantly made mistakes on several questions as Namjoon patiently corrected him. Every once in a while, Jungkook would laugh at his own mistakes and compliment on Namjoon's math skills. In the end, Jungkook thanked the older, which gave Jungkook a pat in the back. "Aright kid, good luck on your math test tomorrow."
Jungkook nodded his head in response, flashing a bright smile. "OKAY! Jin, let's go!" Jungkook shot a fist in the air as he practically bounced out of his chair, quickly saying goodbye to Namjoon before sprinting out the classroom.
Just as Taehyung was about to follow Jungkook as well, he heard Namjoon's deep voice calling him. "Jin?"
Taehyung whipped around to face the older. Oh my frickity frick, what if Namjoon's misunderstanding. "Yeah, Joonie?"
The older hesitated a bit before he asked, "is it weird to you, that we're going out together?"
Taehyung realized that Namjoon was referring to what the girl said earlier. "No, I don't think it's weird at all."
Namjoon shrugged. "I dunno. I just don't feel like hiding our relationship just because of what other people say about us."
"You're right... we shouldn't hide what we feel around other people." Strangely, Taehyung felt like he was saying these words as if he really meant it. "Sorry, I- have to catch up with Jungkook right now." Taehyung apologized before slowly backing away to the door.
Namjoon politely dismissed him and a part of Taehyung was thankful he didn't ask for a kiss or anything. Or else things would've gone really weird. Heck, he wouldn't be able to face Jin or Namjoon ever again!

"So where we goin'?" Jungkook slowed down for Taehyung to catch up.
"Hey, I've heard from a friend you've always wanted to buy nice clothes right?"
"Yeah!" Jungkook couldn't help but smile at the thought of buying nice clothes. Jungkook doesn't usually dress as much on a daily basis, though deep down he really wanted to play with different outfits. Somehow, it made him feel a little more confident with his own body, and he loved it.
Jungkook suddenly looked down in embarrassment, "b-but I don't usually bring a lot of money with me..."
"Oh, it's fine. I can pay for your clothes," Taehyung assured. Geez, I probably have to pay Jin back later.
Jungkook gasped while covering his mouth, his eyes going round like a baby. "No! I can't let you pay, Jin hyung. I don't... even know you that well."
"Relax, Jungkook! I'm just paying for today!" Taehyung swung his arm around the boy, who was still looking away in embarrassment. "Besides, I can help you look for your fashion taste."
Jungkook grinned back, "Oh yeah! Cause Jin hyung is pretty and has a good sense of fashion."
"That's right, Kookie!"

"What about this? With those jeans of yours." Taehyung pulled out a yellow shirt from the hanger, handing it to Jungkook.
"Oh yeah! That would be nice." Jungkook immediately skipped over to the changing room.
It wasn't long until Jungkook whipped open the room curtains, giving a little pout. "I'm not so sure about this one, Jin."
Taehyung walked over to see Jungkook's outfit better. The shirt was hiding his thin waist, which Taehyung knew were Jungkook's pretty points.
"Hmmm... maybe try tucking it in." Taehyung automatically took a step closer to help him with the shirt.
Jungkook backed away shyly. "No, no! But then people can see my curves..."
Sensing that Jungkook was a little insecure with his body, Taehyung shook his head. "Kookie, you may not realize this. But you have pretty good curves."
Taehyung inched closer to Jungkook, waiting for his slight nod of approval before slipping his fingers to tuck the boy's shirt. As he was doing so, he could see Jungkook's cheeks turning slightly pink as he bit his lower lip. "Trust me, Kookie. You'll look nice." Taehyung assured him again as he was doing so. Honestly, Taehyung was enjoying the moment, but he also wanted to show the boy what he saw in him.
Afterward, Taehyung brought the boy towards the body mirror. "See? You look great." Taehyung said, watching Jungkook's smile grow from his compliment.
"Really, hyung?" Jungkook turned towards Taehyung, who backed away to get a better look. He panned down at Jungkook's waist and... oh god, even his thighs a look nice. "Actually... you look pretty hot." Taehyung swallowed and he swore he almost couldn't breathe. Is this the same cute little boy moments ago...?
"Jin, stop! You're making me embarrassed!" Jungkook covered his face, his pink cheeks slightly visible under his hands.
Seeing Jungkook in such a shy state, Taehyung couldn't help but respond, "I'm serious, Kookie. Have you seen your curves? You're pretty good looking if you ask me."
"No way, not as good looking as you, hyung." Jungkook lightly pushed Taehyung away while walking slowly towards the changing room. Taehyung literally had to force his eyes away from Jungkook.
Jungkook came back out of the room with his normal clothes, handing Taehyung the yellow shirt. "So, yes to the yellow shirt?"
Jungkook nodded, his face still a little pink. "Y-yes to the yellow shirt."
The boys finished their shopping trip, each holding bags of clothes of their own. Midway, Taehyung decided to sit down to take a rest from all the shopping. He led the boy to the food court, where they sat down at one of the tables.
"So, Kookie. Did you have fun?"
"Yes, I did! Thanks for getting me these clothes, hyung." Jungkook patted the bags of clothes he was sitting next to.
"Anytime."
The two continued with their conversation, mostly about clothes since Jungkook was interested in Jin's knowledge of fashion. Taehyung tried his best to give Jungkook good fashion tips. Well, thankfully Taehyung does know a thing or two about fashion.
Feeling a little hungry, Taehyung stood up to buy some snacks for both of them, asking Jungkook to wait in his seat. It was adorable to see the boy's attempt to pay the money again. But, of course, Taehyung isn't letting him. Especially when he has his shopping bags to take care of.
Taehyung got back with bags of donuts, and Jungkook couldn't help but bounce on his seat with excitement. "Oooh! You got us donuts!"
Watching the boy happily munch on the donuts made Taehyung's heart melt. Jungkook meant a lot to him, so making him happy was definitely an accomplishment for Taehyung.
"Jin hyung-ah, why... are you being so nice to me today." Jungkook said with his cheeks filled with donuts. He made a crying, thankful face.
Taehyung hesitated on whether he should confess. Oh well, it was now or never. "I guess I'm kind of interested in... dating you."
Jungkook tilted his head, still confused.
Taehyung brushed his hair nervously, " Kookie, if... I asked you to be my boyfriend... would you say yes?"
Jungkook, who was about to grab another donut, whipped his head to face Taehyung. His winced a little in guilt while trying to remain smiling. He swallowed his donut while shaking his head. "Sorry, Jin. Probably not."
Taehyung's heart sank a bit. "Why-"
"-Don't get me wrong though, Jin, I know you're good looking and everything and everyone I know literally has a crush on you. But I guess..." Jungkook's shiny doe eyes looked up at Taehyung sincerely, "...I'm already in love with someone else..."
Taehyung heart pounded. After all these years, Jungkook had been crushing on someone. All without telling Taehyung.... "W-who is it?"
"I can't tell you." Jungkook looked down, blush illluminating his cheeks. "B-But... I guess he's smart..."
As soon as he said that, Taehyung thought of Namjoon. "Oh." Of course, it was Namjoon. Seeing him all giddy and happy with him, Taehyung was sure Namjoon sparked something in Jungkook to make him smile at him like that.
"Yeah, I guess I can't change the way I feel about him. Sorry, Jin." Jungkook apologetically bowed his head with a polite smile. After, the boy popped up in excitement, "But we can still be good friends and everything! We can still go shopping together and maybe I can- I can dress you up as well! I-If that's okay with you, hyung."
Taehyung's heart melted at that. Sure, he was totally friend zoned, but watching Jungkook's cute innocent self instantly made him forgive the boy.
Taehyung smiled back at Jungkook, rustling the boy's hair. "Of course it's okay, kiddo. I totally understand." Though, he still couldn't shake the feeling of jealousy. Jealousy that Jungkook was most likely in love with Namjoon.
Laying his arm on the boy's shoulder, Taehyung walked Jungkook back to his house. Somehow, all Taehyung wished at that moment was to become someone smart... like Namjoon.
And so that was exactly what happened the next morning.
