Five

Season Five, Episode Fifteen
Before and After

Max stood outside of the hospital waiting for ambulance to come, she had gotten a text from Derek saying that someone needed her help and as much as she pressed for more information, all he told her was that they would be here soon.

She didn't expect Addison Montgomery to step off the ambulance with Naomi Bennet.

"Addie? What happened?" Max was the first to step closer, pulling her old friend into a hug.

"Don't worry" Max heard Richard say from behind the two.

The two broke apart but it wasn't long before Max turned to Naomi, "Nay, it's been too long"

"Maxi" Naomi smiled, pulling her into a hug. They pulled apart when the group started to move inside, the pushed Archer to the nearest room and began hooking him up to machines to stable him.

"Does he know how he got the parasite?" Richard asked Addison.

"He thinks he got it from eating unwashed fruit in Mexico" Naomi told him.

"He's bradycardic" A nurse shouts.

"Why is he bradycardic and hypotensive?" Max asked the doctors that were actually working.

"He's having a reaction to the fentanyl drip, stop the fentanyl drip and push the narcan" Derek told the nurse beside him.

"Wait. Derek, he was in status. I mean, if you take him off the drip and he's seizes up, there could be permanent brain damage" Addison said stopping the nurse from doing anything.

"We better hope that doesn't happen"

"Hope? That- that's what your plan is-is hinging on, hoping that- that the worst doesn't happen?" Addison steps closer to Derek.

"Yeah, I'm hoping he's stopped seizing because I know if we don't reverse the drip, his heart is going to arrest. So unless you have a better idea... push the narcan" Derek looks at the Nurse who already had it ready to push, they watch the monitor as she does but Derek pushes her out of the way when it starts beeping.

"He's in v-fib, get the crash cart" Richard yells out. Max watches as Derek gets closer to Archer and brings his fist down to hit his square in the chest. She lets out the breathe she didn't know she was holding when she hears Archer wake up.

Max knew that Richard would be better to stay with Archer, she knew that Addison needed someone familiar by her side so that's why she volunteered to talk to the group of interns and Dr. Stevens.

"Morning, M2" She heard as she walked closer to the group, "I heard there was a guy here with worms in his brain"

She gave her a smile, "Good Morning, Dr. Reilly. Can anyone even tell me the medical term for worms in the brain?" She watched as the interns looked at each other, "Dr. Stevens requested your today for a special project"

She walked away so that Izzie could get started with her project, she noticed the four resident waiting by the door.

"Dr. Baileys with Addison today and The Chief is helping out, so I'm gonna hang out your morning assignments" Max told them as she got closer to them.

"Addisons in the hospital?" Meredith questioned.

"Her brother was admitted last night with parasites in his brain" Max admitted.

"Addisons brother had neurocysticercosis?" Meredith stated in shock.

"Wow, good job, Dr. Grey" Max gave her a smile, "I had asked the interns if they knew and nobody said anything"

After Max gave them their things to do, she walked back to Archers room where Naomi and Addison were.

"Okay, I'm not with the assignment giving and I am ready to be here. My schedule is mostly clear, thanks to Dr. Robbins" Max said stepping closer to Addisons side.

"Oh, you didn't have to do that. I'm-I'm fine" Addison turns to Max with a grateful face.

"Archer is in my hospital with parasites in his brain, I cleared my schedule" Max folded her arms over her baby bump and turned her attention back to Archer and Derek.

"You cut your hair" Miranda said walking up to the group.

"Oh, yeah" Addison said touching her hair.

"I like it" Miranda tells hers, "Uh, Dr. Miranda Bailey" She said looking over at Naomi.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Um, Miranda, Naomi. Naomi, Miranda" Addison says gesturing to the two, "Naomi's our fertility specialists down at Oceanside wellness and one of my oldest friends"

"It's nice to meet you, Miranda" Naomi tells her with a smile.

"So how is he?" Miranda asks after the pleasantries were done.

"Oh, We don't know" Max tells her.

"He's groggy, his eyes are open but I don't think he's awake because he hasn't tried to kill me. Her brother hates me" Derek tells them as soon as he opened the door.

"People pick sides in a divorce, Derek" Addison tells him.

"He picked sides in the marriage. He first seized during sex with his girlfriend, I wonder why she's not here" Derek wondered.

"Oh, she is" Naomi speaks up, making both Max and Derek look at her.

"Nay? You and Archer?" Max asked shocked, it shouldn't be a surprise considering Archer always went after Addisons friends, including Max.

"I'm going in there" Addison turned and walked into the room behind her with Miranda following after.

"You and Archer?" Derek repeated.

"No. Uh, well, yeah. I mean, I don't- I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know what we are" Naomi tells the two.

"How's Sam?" Max asked her, it was crazy to think about one of them without the other.

"Sam's good and uh, how's, um... Meredith- is that her name?" Naomi asked, Max hated catching up with people.

"She's good" Derek tells her simply.

"And how's Leo? Addison told me that he got married" Naomi turned to Max and asked.

"He's doing good and yeah, Christina, he married Christina" Max told her with a smile.

"Well, look at us. We're standing here making polite conversation about your girlfriend" Naomi said now directing her attention to Derek, "You two are divorced, me and Sam are divorced, Max and Mark aren't married yet and I'm with Archer, sort of. What the hell happened? You wrote Addison a song Derek"

"I think we need to forget about the song, Naomi" Max said, her voice was tense.

"What? He wrote her her own love song and her sang it to her at the wedding" Naomi continued.

"Mark wrote it or Sam- Somebody. I don't remember who it was" Derek told her, trying to get her to shut up about the song.

"I do, I do. I was drunk at the time but I remember, and I remember thinking that you guys were gonna last forever, that we all were gonna last forever" Naomi looked at the both of them, thinking about that night.

"Yeah"

"You should call Sam. He misses you" Naomi told Derek with sad eyes.

"Yeah" He said before walking away.

Max wished that she didn't clear her schedule, as she sits on the chair next to Addison and listens to Naomi sing Derek's wedding song to Addison, it makes her realize that she wasn't the same person she's as in college and the friendships she made back then weren't then once's that's she wanted now.

"Our eyes met over the cadaver and I knew I had to have her" Naomi sang the song, laughing at the way it sounded, "What was the next line?"

"Maybe it would be cooler if we did something else" Max spoke up for the second time, she looked at Meredith again who was trying her hardest not to put attention to them.

"Had his mitral valve grown to think?"

"Is that what made out cadaver so sick?"

"Greatest love song of all time" Mark said walking into the room, "Hey, babe" he leaned down and kissed Max on the top of her head.

"Hey!"

"Did you guys get to the part where Derek Rhymes 'gross anatomy class' with 'Addisons fine ass'?" Mark asked with a laugh, which made Max reach up and slap him on the arm.

"Oh, my bad" He says once he sees Meredith.

"No, no. It's fine. I, Uh... I think it sounds like a fine song" Meredith tells them.

"Archie, I heard you were gonna let Derek remove those little suckers from your brain" Mark tells him.

"Maybe" Archer replies back.

"He is" Both Naomi and Addison say.

"I hate surgery, especially brain surgery" Archer looks over at Addison and says.

"Yeah. Being a neurologist, you probably see a lot of patients post-op who are just, you know, scrambled eggs up there-" Mark begins to joke.

"Okay, you know what, Mark? You're not helping right now, we're sitting here trying to convince him that surgery is-"

"Is not an option" Derek walls into the room and pulls out the scans, "According to these scans, the single cyst that you had in your last C.T. has now multiplied by eight, all clogging the third ventricle. There's not way I can surgically navigate thought a mess like that without rupturing one"

"So what does that mean?" Addisons asks. She looks at Derek when he doesn't say anything, his face did not show signs of any hope.

"You're in a room full of doctors, Addison, who are all being very quiet right now. I'm gonna die, that's what it means" Archer turns and looks at Addison and grabbing her hand, with everyone looking at him with sad eyes.

Max didn't know what to do, part of her wanted to be there for Addison but as much as they tried they couldn't go back to where they were before, the friendship that had been created when they were young wasn't the same as now and It wasn't Max's place to be there for Addison anymore.

"I don't know Miranda, it's just too awkward and it's hard" Max said from beside Miranda, they both were looking over charts from there patients even though both of them cleared there schedule.

"Addisons brother has worms in his brain, now that's hard" Miranda replies back, even though she didn't bother looking up.

"Fine, whatever call me selfish but Addison and I are not friends, that bridge cracked when she cheated on Derek and then completely fell apart when i found out who it was with. Addison has moved on and so have I" Max wasn't sure if she was trying to convince Miranda or herself.

"You're Maxine Mallard, no matter how much you dislike a person, you still won't let them suffer on there own. You can talk about how you and Addison aren't friends but we both know that you'll be at this hospital until Archer leaves" Miranda set down her pen and looked at Max.

"Uh, Montgomery, Archer. I'm a friend" Max turned around when she heard a familiar voice.

"Dr. Sam Bennet!" Max smiled at him as she walked closer, "Look at you, how do you look completely different but also the same when we went to college?"

"Maxi! It's been so long, how are you?" Sam pulled his signature smile and wrapped his arms around Max, "Wow, look at that pump" He said looking down.

Max automatically looked down at her stomach, "Almost eight months now, I am so ready to get this little bugger out of me"

"I bet, how is Mark doing with all of this? Is he ready to be a Dad?" He looked excited for her, she remembered how happy he was when Naomi was pregnant with Mya.

"I mean he already is a Dad, we have a Daughter but he's really excited, you'll have to catch up with him he was talking about how he doesn't have any friends here in Seattle" Max wondered how Sam could've forgotten about Maeve, maybe he didn't know at all.

"You have a daughter? How old is she?" Sam wondered.

"Oh uh, Yeah. She's Ten right now" She didn't know why she was so nervous but she also didn't know how nobody could've told Sam about Maeve.

"Ten? You were pregnant when you and Mark broke up?"

"Hi, I'm Dr. Miranda Bailey. I'm a friend of Addisons" Miranda said stepping in beside Max to derail the conversation.

"Oh" He said looking at Miranda instead of Max.

"Which one are you?" Miranda looked him up and down before setting at his face.

"I'm sorry?"

"Archer is Addisons brother and archers girlfriend is Addisons best friend, who used to be married to Derek's best friend who Derek hasn't spoken to since the Divorce" Miranda explained, she thought it was weird how close they all were even when non of them were together anymore.

"Right, Right. Well, that would be me, the ex-husband. Uh, Dr. Samuel Bennet" Sam told her, extending his hand so they could formally meet.

"Sorry. Well, I didn't think the ex-husband would show up at the Ex-wife's boyfriends bedside" Miranda said hesitantly, she was definitely feeling a little awkward from this whole conversation.

"Right. Don't worry about it, Uh, even I don't know why I'm here but, Uh, yeah" Sam laughed a little before turning to look at Max.

"Third floor, room 3420" Max told him just to get him out of his misery.

"Thank you" He sighed, turning his body to walk to the elevator.

"Dr. Bennet" Miranda called out.

"Uh, Sam"

"Dr. Shepherd is still studying the scans, looking for a way to operate but it looks like a difficult case" Miranda looked at him expectingly, telling him what to do without actually saying the words.

"Right" He finally said before walking away from the two Doctors completely.

"Well, I feel very embarrassed and I wasn't even apart of that conversation" Max told Miranda before walking away from there as well.

Addison was praying and Max stood there shocked. Addison didn't pray, she was never the one to even go to church.

"What is she doing?" Miranda asked from beside Max.

"It looks like she's praying" Richard replied, everyone watched Addison from outside the chapel but no body made a move to go talk to her.

Max let out a low chuckle, "Sorry, no Addison doesn't pray"

"What is she doing?" Callie walked up and asked the group.

"I guess she's praying?" Max said giving the best answer.

"No. Addison doesn't pray. She must be hiding" Callie responded, chuckling a little as well.

"I can hear you and I'm not hiding. I am trying to pray but I don't know how to pray because I'm a wasp and we only go to church on Christmas" Addison yelled out.

"You guys go, we can handle this" Callie looked at Max, silently telling her to just follow her lead.

Max let out a little groaned but followed her inside the chapel anyway. Callie was the first to slide into the seat and then pulled Max down when she didn't move.

"I have no clout with god. God doesn't even know who I am, which sucks because I could...I could use some help" Addison sighed at the thought of her trying to connect to god but Max didn't say or do anything. Maybe that was because her faith in god was slipping and she didn't have that relationship with him anymore and she hated to feel this way, the feeling of losing that connection and faith with the one person that could help her breathe.

But she wasn't going to let Addison do this alone, no matter how much there friendship was gone, so she got on her knees and started to pray, watching as Callie did so as well.

"Dear God, I have been losing faith. I know you watched me walk into your house every Sunday with my parents and my brothers and I know that you watched my back while I was growing up with parents that weren't all so great, you sent me and Leo two wonderful parents that protected us and kept us safe. I feel ashamed talking to you like this but sometimes as I look around and see all this hurt and despair I wonder if you are even here at all. Why does my brother have a congenital heart defect and Why do we have to watch as our father forget our names or the memories that we made. I am so unbelievably lucky to have the things that I do, I have the most amazing daughter who I know will grow up and change the world, I have this little baby in my stomach who is healthy and I have Mark who always lets me know how much he loves me even when I push him away. I'm sorry that I am losing faith but I still feel you beside me and that feeling is comforting and healing. Amen. " Max stepped back from her position and sat back down next to Addison, she felt a hand reach over and hold hers looking over she watched Addison wipe a tear that had fallen.

"Dear God, I need your guidance. I kissed a Peds surgeon" Max darted her eyes from the ground to the back of Callie's head.

"You kissed Arizona! I knew it!" Max yelped excitedly.

"You kissed a Peds surgeon?" Addison asked after Max.

"I never thought I'd end up with a women, god, but- I mean, not until lately but that- that's not the problem. That problem is the Peds thing, she's- she's perky and has butterflies on her scrub cap but she's... also hot.... really hot. So help me get over the butterflies. Amen" Callie stepped back into the seat she was previously sitting and looked over at Max, holding her other hand for comfort.

"You're an amazing doctor, Addison. You save babies, God knows who you are" Callie told her.

"Do you really believe in all of this... in god?" Addison asked the two.

Max didn't know what to say, religion isn't a straight road, it has bumps and faults but when I let cane down to it, the big guy never steered her wrong.

"Sometimes. Well... most of the time, when it counts" Callie smiled at Addison and then looked at the big cross in the middle of the chapel.

Mark had texted Max to come to Archers room, he said that Derek had news and he didn't know if it was good or bad so that's where she was, leaning her tired head on Marks shoulder as he wrapped his arm around her head and listening to Derek talk.

"All right, Archer. I need to create room in the ventricle so I can maneuver the scope. If I deflate each cyst, the scope can remove them one by one" Derek looked at Archer and explained.

"The cyst with rupture" Archer cut him off.

"I'm gonna grab each one with forceps, pull it up to the edge of the port and suction out the fluid" Derek explained further.

"The auction would have to be precise-"

"It will be" Derek told him confidently.

"You can't do it" Archer said not believing that Derek could handle it.

"Well, I think I can" Derek said with more pressure.

"Basically you can control the way the cyst ruptures?" Addison looked at Derek, her face looked like she was hopeful and hesitant at the same time.

"No, he can't. Look, I know you guys want me to go down fighting, but I-" Archer looked around the room as he tried to convince them that Derek couldn't do this.

"Coward"

"Excuse me?" Archer asked, looking up at Derek with hate.

"I said 'Coward' you're a coward by trade. You're a neurologist, you guys feed off us, refer your patients to us, let us assume the responsibility and god forbid something happens, well... I'll tell you what, I can assume the responsibility. The question is, can you?" Derek didn't look at anyone except for Archer, he was making a point and it was a goddamn good one too.

But silence followed and everyone looked at Archer excepting him to make the right choice but if there was one thing that came with the Montgomery name it was, the sense of pride. Ego filled head and it seemed like all the men had some sort of god complex and that was never going to change and Max didn't see why it would change in Archer.

Max walked in to the gallery with Mark right beside her, they stopped next to Sam and looked into the O.R.

"Hey, he under yet?" Mark asked Sam.

"Yeah" Sam said simply.

Mark looked over at Miranda to give her some sort of acknowledgment but when he looked down at the paper she was holding, well he just couldn't help himself, "A Peds surgery fellowship? Huh" He asked, giving Max a look considering She was the big man in the Pediatric Wing.

"I have a child. Your child calls me Auntie M, I'm familiar with Children. I am going to be an excellent pediatric surgeon" Max nodded her head along as Miranda told off the two men.

"You're gonna want to keep that temper in check around the kids" Sam said lowly.

"Weird seeing Archie on that table" Mark said as he looked at Archie in the O.R.

"Yeah, it is" Max replied back softly, she looked over at Sam who was trying to get his inhaler to work but he soon realized that he was out.

"Asthma, looks like I'm low" He said when Miranda looked over at him.

She held her hand out for the inhaler, "Krez, refill this for Dr. Bennet here" She told the intern once she got the yellow thing and then gave it to him to refill.

"Thanks" Sam said looking at Miranda.

"It's good practice. Asthmas big with the kids" Miranda told him tensely before look back down at her paper and filling it out.

Max watched as Callie entered the gallery, she walked right too Addison and put her hand on Addisons shoulder for comfort.

"Say it, Derek. Come on, say it. Say it, say it, say it, say it, say it" Addison chanted aloud and looked at Derek.

"Okay, Everybody. It's a beautiful day to save lives" He said finally and then began to operate on Archer.

Max pulled Mark to the empty chairs so that the two could sit down and wait for something to happen, they didn't leave there eyes off of Derek as they waited.

"Okay, entering the third ventricle" Derek announced, making the group more tense then they already were, "Deflating cyst one. All right, suction"

"Oh god, I don't think I can sit in this room for hours" Max sighed into Mark.

"Any sign of the scolex?" Derek asked Meredith.

"There it is" She responded as soon as she saw the worm. Derek looked up at Addison and gave her a nod, silently telling her that everything was going good.

"One at a time" He sighed then going back in to grab the next cyst.

Max looked over at Addison who was getting a little antsy, "Okay, I need to be distracted. Someone, uh, talk about something other than what's going on with my brother right now"

"Uh, Mark is good at talking about himself" Callie said looking over at Mark.

"Actually, I've been using endoscopy for head and neck cancer resections and if I can just focus the criteria for patients, I might have a breakthrough on my hands" Mark said softly to Addison, he was actually really excited about this and every time he had something he would go straight to Max and share the news.

"What happened to you?" Addison questioned, she looked at him with confusion.

"Nothing happened to me, I just realized where I wanted to be and the old me wasn't it" Mark told her with a shrug of his shoulders, "Baby number two is almost here and sometimes hen I think about it I freak out so this Endoscopy is really good at keeping me sane"

"Right, baby number two. How is that going by the way? Do you have any names?" Addison looked over as Max and asked.

"Pregnancy sucks. Don't get me wrong I'm excited for baby to be here but my feet hurt all the time, Im always have pains in my chest and my boobs are way to big and don't even get me started how swollen my feel and ankles are. I couldn't even get my shoes on this morning" Max shared with Addison, who on it did not see that coming considering the way her mouth is hanging open.

"And as for names, we wanted to be surprised with the gender so we don't have anything set in stone" Mark added.

"Yeah, they thought they were so cool deciding to wait until birth" Leo popped into the room and said.

"Leo!" Addison shouted in surprise.

"Hey, Addison. Sorry I couldn't come sooner, I've got surgery's booked all day today and plus we aren't really friends so..." Leo sat next on the empty chair next to Max, "I honestly just came to check up on Max and bring her food" He handed his sister the plate of food that he was holding, it had a salad with chicken, a cheeseburger and some fries.

"Oh, right" Addison sighed.

"Yum, I'm starved" Max gladly took the plate and set it on Marks lap, it was kind of hard to put anything on her lap at this point.

"Yeah, it's almost 3:00 p.m, you always get hungry around this time" Leo told her as if everyone knew that, which was true but Max didn't want to seem like some pregnant monster.

"Thank you, Leo. Are you going to stay and watch?" Max looked over at Leo, who grabbed a fry from her tray and ate it.

"Can't. I don't have much of break in between surgery's so I'm gonna to go eat with Christina. We've still got to go to the store for some groceries" Leo jumped out of his chair, giving his sister and Callie a kiss on the cheek, ruffling Marks hair and then giving Addison a thumbs up before leaving the room entirely.

"Well, you should hear about Graham" Callie spoke up to silence the awkwardness.

"Ooo, what's he doing? Climbing Mount Everest? Going swimming with sharks? Discovering a new fish?" Addison perked up at the mention of Graham, even though the two weren't close at all, Addison still thought that all of his adventures were pretty cool.

"He actually met someone" Max smiled at the thought of her two closest friend being happy together.

Addison just sighed before looking back at Derek and her brother, "What is going on here, it's like everything's changed"

"People change, Addison. Leo got Married after years of saying that he never would, Graham settled down and will probably stay in Seattle, Mark and I are finally starting the family that we always talked about, even if it was a little late, Callie is becoming the person she was always meant to be and Derek is going to- Oh never mind. People grow up" Max explained, she didn't feel bad if Addison felt that life was moving on without her. She was the one who burnt those bridges.

They continued to watch Derek get out all of the worms, each time he did it they all felt a little pressure in there chest, they knew what the outcome could be if he messed up.

"Okay, Dr. Grey, what's the number?" Derek asked Meredith who counted the Worms in the plate.

"Seven Cysts, Sven scolexes" Meredith answered.

"Okay, then one more" Derek looked at the monitor and began to pull out the next cyst but something happened and it burst open making the worm loose in Archers brain, "Damn it"

"He's getting bradycardic" Meredith told him when she looked at his vitals.

"I need to irrigate, see if the flow is blocked" Derek told the group as he went deeper to look for the worm.

"Asystole" Meredith called out when the monitor started beeping, "Start the code clock"

Addison jumped out of her seat as the group watched the clock start, two minutes was all they had.

"Derek, Asystole" Meredith told him again.

"Where the hell is it?" Derek asked himself harshly.

"Get the crash cart, start compressions" Meredith told the surgical nurses.

"No! Stop! Nobody move. We can't stop compressions, I need to find the worm" Derek yelled at them, making everyone move back to there original spots.

"But he's-"

"We have two minutes, maybe three. Nobody move, just stop" Derek looked at Meredith for a second before turning back to the screen to find the worm.

Those two minutes went by fast and still there was no luck in finding the worm, "How long has he been down?" Derek asked the nurse next to him.

"Two minutes, twenty seconds"

"Derek" Meredith called out again, if they didn't do something soon then Archer was going to die and that's as the last thing that anybody wanted.

They searched for the worm for a few more seconds before they finally found it, Derek reached in with the clamp so that he could try and get it.

"Got it. Oh, damn it. It's starting to tear apart, maybe if I just rotate it and reverse it back" Derek said to himself, he rotated the clamp and luckily that was the right thing to do because the worm stopped tearing.

"And that's worm number eight" He said when he put the thing on the plate that Meredith was holding.

The group in the gallery continued to watch to see if things would get better for Archer, letting out a shaky breathe when Meredith said, "Heart rates coming back up"

"Okay. Thank you, everybody. You just made some friends of mine very happy" Derek told his team as he looked up at Addison.

Max reached across the isle and out her hand on Addison shoulder, she knew how hard it was knowing your brother could die at any second. But Archer wasn't going to die and that made everyone feel a little lighter.

As much as Max wanted to go out with the old crew just like old times, she wanted to go home and sit down on the couch and listen to Maeve talk about Science or Math much more. She told Mark that he could go to Joes and catch up if he wanted and that it was okay, because it truly was okay. He needed to have fun and have a small look into what his old life was as long as he didn't act like his old self, mostly Max got afraid sometimes, thinking that Mark will miss being who he was but then she remembers who Mark really was and how hard he tries to become the guy that he knew Max needed.

"Hey, Maevie. How was school today? Did you learn anything new?" Max asked her daughter, who was sitting at the kitchen table doing her homework.

"School was good, we had some guy come in to talk about Quantum Theory which was pretty cool. So I think I'm gonna try and look into that more, probably solve, when I do you'll be the first to know" Maeve set down her pencil and looked at her Mom, she was almost down with it anyway so it wasn't like she couldn't stop.

"I'm happy that you had a good day" Max pulls out a chair and sits down on it so that she could properly talk to Maeve, "So is this guy going to come back and continue teaching you about Quantum Theory? Or are you just gonna do it on your own?"

"I asked Dr. Fitz if he was going to come back but he said that he was going around the world or something so it's just me" Maeve nodded her head as she was talking.

"Oh. Well, maybe the book store has some more books about Quantum Theory and I'm sure we can print off some articles for you to read" Max gave her some options that she could think of to help her out more.

"Yeah that's a good idea. Maybe we could stop at the computer and hardware store, I'm thinking that if I learn more about Quantum Physics then I can build a computer that is good enough to generate it. I was walking to the professor that talked in my class about it further and he brought up Quantum Transportation and it got me thinking, if we get that down what's that mean for jumping into another realm?" Maeve jumped out of her seat and put all of her homework books and papers back into her bag.

"Okay, Uh, we can go get all the the stuff you need now if you want too" Max looks at her watch to check the time, "If we leave now we should make it to all the stores"

Maeve didn't even say anything, she just sprinted to her room and ran right back down holding her money jar.

"What's that for?" Max questioned as she pointed to the jar.

"So I can buy all this stuff, it's going to be so cool Mom" Maeve told her excitedly, almost jumping up and down.

"I'll pay for the stuff, Maeve. Just make sure you thank me when you get publish for figuring all this out" Max grabbed the jar and set it on the banister, she grabbed Maeve's coat and tossing it to her so that she could put it on.

"We might have to go to the junk yard to see if I can find some extra pieces" Maeve said as she opened the front door.

"If you want we can do it when I have a day off so we can spend a little longer looking for stuff that you might need" Max looked at her watch again, "You probably won't have time to find anything right now"

"That would be so fun!" Maeve said jumping off the porch stairs and running to the car, only to come back and stand right in front of her Mom, "Thank you so much, Mom. You're the best Mom ever and I love you" She said and gave her Mom a tight hug.

"You're welcome, Sweetheart" Max said hugging her back. The two let go of the hug to get into the car and continue on with there new adventure and Max just knew that if someone was to find out if there was a Quantum Realm, it would be Maeve.

AUTHORS NOTE

Honestly I'm kind of laughing at the thought of putting Maeve into the MCU universe. She'd put Tony Stark out of business but anything possible.
I think I would love it haha.

I've also made some edits of the Characters and there up on my Instagram!!! If you want to look at them go follow hiddle.loki4wp
