"Already?" Roz looked at the sound of cars pulling up.

"Peacekeepers?" Zoya huffed, clutching her gun as they all stood. "Such fans."

"451 to base. We've got a truck coming in from the south. Over." Jackson spoke over her ear piece. Zoya put an arm across Katniss. "Stand down, everyone. It's friendly."

"Stand down." Katniss gave Zoya a minor look as she removed her hand.

"Sorry, guess Roz does it better then me." Zoya mocked her, walking backwards with a small wink as she headed for Finnick. "We have more squad members?"

"Assuming so." he hummed, the pair watching as the truck came to a stop and a few soldiers hopping out. With the help of another, Peeta came around the corner. Zoya gapped, her heart sunk.

Katniss grabbed her bow, Roz threw a hand infront of her before Zoya got a chance to see. Only, Gale wasn't nearly as smart as she had been. He rose his gun immediately as Peeta approached. "Okay, stop!"

Zoya shoved the head of his gun to the side and punch him in the face. Katniss gapped while Finnick laughed. "Zoya."

"Back off." Zoya warned them, despite understanding. Even after it all, knowing the fear that Peeta caused the ones around him, she'd be on his side. They all knew it just as much as she had. Her facial expression went from pissed off the joy filled as she put her gun in Finnick hands and walked over. The act alone was concerning, her only form of weapon pushed aside as she approached the capitols assignment.

"Peeta." Zoya hugged him as he mumbled under his breath. "Are you okay?"

He snapped out of his daze, locking eyes with her. "Zoya?"

"Yeah." she smiled, nodding as she clutched his hand to show it had been real. "You okay?"

He nodded. "I'm from District 12."

"Hey." she held his face with a small smile, nodding in reassurance. "You're okay. I'm not gonna let these people mess with her."

Peeta leaned his head forward, their similar heights coming in handy as his forehead dropped onto her collarbone. Zoya looked back when Jackson approached with hand cuffs. "Solider, this is just a precaution."

"I can handle him." Zoya tried to reason.

"It's an order." Jackson spoke in return, nodding backwards to Boggs.

"Yeah. Yeah, let's put them on." Peeta mumbled as he held his wrist out, the fabric going around his hands to bound them together. "District 12. Peeta Mellark."

Zoya held the back of his neck with a smile. "We're good?"

Peeta hummed as Zoya smiled, kissing him on the forehead with a clasp to his hand, leading him with her back inside.

"He wanted to come." Boggs spoke as the pair sat down, explaining to the group why Peeta had been here. His eyes went to Zoya. "For her."

Zoya rubbed Peetas back, his head leaned on her shoulder. Roz had to smile, taking Katniss' hand to show that she would be safe. Boggs looked around again. "They want us to add him to the propo. Show that he's on our side now."

"His mental health should come first." Roz spoke up sternly. "That's more important then a publicity look."

"Just what they said." Boggs spoke as Zoya rubbed Peetas back again, feeling him breath against her. "He stays with her at all time. It was quick, not much said. We'll move forward a few blocks tomorrow and shoot the new footage."

"He's not in control of himself." Gale shook his head.

"Shut up, Gale!" Zoya mocked, putting a lot of sass when she said his name.

"I say we schedule it around the clock watch on him." Jackson spoke up again. "The Leegs till 1700. Homes and Mitchell till 1900."

"I can watch him." Zoya spoke up. "He'll be okay with me."

"The entire time? You won't sleep at all?" Jackson asked her with risen eyebrows.

"Give me a watch." Katniss spoke up.

"And if it really came down to it, you think you can shoot him?" she shot her way.

"Jesus!" Zoya yelled out in disbelief as all eyes turned to her. "Stop talking about him like he's not sitting right here!"

"Is he actually?" Jackson rose her eyebrows. "We have to take serious caution here, Butterfield. You might not think you're being put in danger, but the rest of us are."

"I wouldn't be shooting Peeta." Katniss spoke to stop the arguing, gaining the center of attention once more. "I'd be killing a capitol mutt."

Roz gave Zoya a pleading look when she saw the look so had, a deadly one. She knew Zoya would truly never hurt Katniss, not physically. But, that was before she spend weeks at the capitol. She was different now, and Roz wasn't sure exactly what she was capable of anymore.

"I'm not sure that kind of thinking recommends you for the job, either, soldier." Jackson stated at Katniss, Zoya agreed with her for once. Peeta laid on her shoulder again as Zoya placed her hand over this ear.

"Put her in the rotation." Boggs ignored Jackson's thoughts. Katniss stood up, walking outside to meet Boggs. Roz looked toward Zoya again, hoping to catch her eye. But, she hadn't been focused on her, no one except Peeta on her shoulder.

After her watch with Peeta, that consisted of plenty of cuddling in the corner, Zoya was meant to sleep. She had, her eyes shutting as she laid on her backpack. It didn't last long, her dreams filled with the memories of being shocked, of being tortured, of the trauma and pain she faced in the capitol. She started to cry out in her sleep, not waking up.

"Zoya." Peeta held her arm to try and get her to wake up. "Zoya."

She thrashed, crying out and sitting up quickly. Peeta held her arms to settle her down, shhing her. Her yells of panic woke the rest of them up, looking over in worry. Peeta grasped Zoyas face with his cuffed hands, holding her still as she breathed heavy and gave a cry each time. "Shhh, shh, it's okay. You're okay."

Finnick watched them, watched how good he'd been with her in a moment like this. The rest of them had to do the same, especially Katniss and Roz. They saw it, just then, for the first time since he'd gotten back. Peeta was still in there. The way he held her, the way he comforted her, kissing her on the forehead like she'd done him. It was him, just for a matter of a few minutes.

"It's okay, solider." Jackson spoke up when Zoya flattened onto Peeta shoulder, he moved his arms around so she could fit between his bound wrist, trying to slow her heart rate. "We all get them."

Zoya didn't say anything, but she didn't have to. Roz reached over and rubbed her knee, Finnick giving her his best smile from across the room. They didn't know what she went through, but they each had their own fair share of nightmares in the past. Their own share of trauma from the capitol, the same she'd faced, yet now was stuck with more.

"It's okay." Peeta whispered to her when her eyes started to get heavy again. "I've got you."

He did, she knew it. He didn't have anyone else, maybe not even himself. But, he had her. No matter what the capitol could ever do, no matter how much they tried to change him, they could never change or affect what he felt for her.
