She was sociable and outgoing sure, but never with the likes of him. He was pure determination and raw talent on the Quidditch pitch, his world revolving around broomsticks, bludgers, and chasing victory. Cassie thought he was the perfect embodiment of a brainless jock—arrogant, Quidditch-obsessed, and, worst of all, entirely too aware of his charm.

To Oliver, Cassie was just another name he barely knew in passing—a girl with her nose constantly buried in a book, far removed from the roaring excitement of the Gryffindor stands. Sure, he'd noticed she was sharp-tongued and unyieldingly confident, but he had bigger concerns—like winning the House Cup and securing his place as the best Quidditch Captain Hogwarts had ever seen.

But everything changed during their sixth year, when Hogwarts hosted the Triwizard Tournament, and the school made the unthinkable decision to cancel the Quidditch season.

For Oliver, it was nothing short of catastrophic. No Quidditch? No matches to train for? No chance to lead Gryffindor to victory? He didn't know what to do with himself. The sport that had been his purpose, his escape, and his entire identity was suddenly stripped away. How was life supposed to go on without it?

And for Cassie, life went on as normal—if anything, she welcomed the reprieve from the chaos of Quidditch season. But as the weeks went by, she couldn't help but notice Oliver's increasingly restless behavior. The confident, charismatic Captain seemed lost, as if his world had been turned upside down. Against all logic, Cassie found herself caught in his orbit, reluctantly pulled into his life.
