Tell Everybody We're On Our Way...
Thranduil sat on his throne and straightened his back. "You want to do what?" he asked his son furiously which caused Legolas to shrunk a bit.
"I want to invite Livianna to come visiting us to celebrate Mereth Nuin Giliath," Legolas repeated. "She has never celebrated it before, Adar."
"I don't care. Do you know what will happen if you do that?" Thranduil paused for a moment but Legolas didn't understood what on Arda he was talking about, so Thranduil answered the question himself.
"She will ask her sisters and brothers to join her on her journey. Arwen will ask Aragorn to come, Aragorn will ask I-don't-know-their-names-anymore to come, and who knows they'll bring! Before you know it, our land will be crowded with all inhabitants of Middle Earth."
Legolas laughed. "You're such a doomsayer. Still, it's better than spiders."
Thranduil rose up from his seat, dramatic as always. "You will not invite her, Legolas."
"Too late, the invitation already has been sent ages ago."
"WHAT?!"
Legolas quickly turned around and ran away before his father could call him back. He sprinted out of the hall and almost bumped into his brother. He slipped to a halt before they could collide with each other.
Phoenix observed his brother's fearful expression, both could hear their father yelling angrily from out of the main hall. Phoenix slowly raised an eyebrow.
"Leggy, what did you do?"
"I may have invited Livianna to come celebrate the Feast of Starlight," Legolas muttered.
"I knew you liked her," Phoenix smirked. "But why would Adar be angry about that?"
"He thinks she'll invite more and Mirkwood shall be flooded with people."
"He's probably right."
Legolas was suprised. Phoenix agreeing with Thranduil? That was a first.
"But I don't care," he continued and Legolas rolled his eyes. Of course, he should had known.
At that moment Caladhiel, who was part of the Forest Guard and had had today's shift, turned around the corner. Phoenix and Legolas dropped their conversation, it seemed as she was about to visit Thranduil. She faltered in her pace when she heard the angry shouts of the King.
She threw a look at the two brothers. "Is... Is it safe to go in there?" Caladhiel asked them worried.
"Depends on the news you're bringing," Phoenix responded.
She hesitated for a moment. "We have visitors."
Legolas and Phoenix crossed eyes and exchanged a meaningful look, but both kept their expressions straight.
"Oh, that's fine. You should go in there, I'm sure he'll be delighted," Phoenix said and Legolas tried his very best to keep a blank expression.
Caladhiel observed them with suspicion but she couldn't find a smallest hint they were messing with her. "Alright," she eventually said and she started walking again.
They heard Thranduil stopped yelling and quietly they snuck a bit closer to hear the conversation between Caladhiel and their father.
"Yes, Caladhiel?" Thranduil asked.
"Aran nรฎn, I have come to tell you some elves have crossed the border."
"What? They're here already?!" Thranduil sounded really angry.
Caladhiel was confused and a bit scared. "My Lord?"
"The feast is still weeks away. Bring them here, this instant!"
Legolas and Phoenix heard a soft answer coming from Caladhiel and they started to run away, laughing at their little joke.
Caladhiel saw them disappearing around the corner. "I hate you two!" she yelled at their backs.
"We love you too!" Phoenix returned the outgiving just before they disappeared out of sight.
Caladhiel rolled her eyes and made her way towards the front gate. She gathered the others of the Forest Guard and they quietly and stealthitly moved through the forest. On their way to guide the visitors to the Great Elven Halls. Or to catch them, it all depended on their reactions.

The three Dรบnedain mounted their horses and began on their journey towards Rivendell, and from there on towards Greenwood.
Aragorn had received a letter from Arwen a few weeks ago, she had invited the three of them to come with her an her family to Greenwood to celebrate the Feast of Starlight. It still was few weeks until then but if they wanted to be on time, they had to go now.
The three great stallions were packed with all kind of provisions but the Dรบnedain were happy they could spent the first night in the Shire.
Varonwe spurted his black stallion to a gallop and the other two quickly followed him.
"In a hurry are we?" Aragorn joked and his cousin looked back over his shoulder with a big grin on his face.
"Of course. I have heard many things about the cooking skills of Hobbits. I can't wait to find it out for myself."
Ayleen chuckled. "Oh, you won't be disappointed."
Varonwe fixated his look back forward and he let his horse run even faster by slackening the reins.
Aragorn shook his head. "In this pace we'll be there in less than an hour."
"What's the problem with that?" Ayleen asked her brother while she gained upon him. Soon she was head to head with Varonwe and he quickly realized her intentions.
Varonwe leaned over the neck of his horse so that he could whisper in his horse's ear. "Come, Nandus, show them how fast you can run!"
Nandus moved his ears to his master and started to make even bigger leaps than he already did. Varonwe grinned, he just loved the feeling of the cold wind blowing through his hair. He looked next to him and saw Ayleen's horse started to fall behind. No horse could keep up with Nandus.
"Alright. You win!" Ayleen yelled when they were a few meters behind. Varonwe laughed and let Nandus slow down.
After a few minutes Aragorn had finally caught up with them again. "You two are very immature," he pointed out. "What if they had sprained their ankle?"
Ayleen rolled her eyes. "Come on, Aragorn. It was just for fun. Besides, it's not like you have never raced before. Do you remember that one time when -,"
Aragorn cut her off. "Alright, stop talking."
Varonwe curiously raised an eyebrow. "What am I missing here?"
"Well, you see," Ayleen started but her brother stopped her again.
"Stop talking!"
"Alright, then I'll sing!"
"What?! No!"
But it was too late. Ayleen had already bursted out in a song but till Aragorn's relieve it wasn't about the 'thing'.
"Tell everybody I'm on my way.
New friends and places to see.
With blue skies ahead, yes, I'm on my way.
And there's no where else I'd rather be..."
Varonwe clasped his hands over his ears. "Ayleen! Stop singing!"
She stopped in the middle of a word. "What, why?"
"You can't sing."
She furrowed her eyebrows. "I've heard that before..."
Aragorn chuckled.
"Then you sing!" Ayleen suggested to Varonwe, and Aragorn stopped chuckling.
Varonwe shrugged. "Very well."
"Oh Valar..." It was going to be a long, long journey.
