CHAPTER TWENTY THREE โ”โ” magical endeavours

OPHELIA glared at the bullet on the oak table in front of her. Her doe eyes flashed between amber and brown. Shivers danced across her vanilla skin as she thought about the outcome of that one object. How could she be so stupid? She thought to herself. Her family could never catch a break.

"Is it going to move?" Liam's voice echoed from beside Ophelia's ear.

"If you continue to hover, I just might make you fly out the window." She sarcastically remarked.

"You can't actually do that..." Mason trailed off smiling, "Can you?" He asked, his smile faltering seeing the glares as that casted on the Original family, and the McCall pack. "Never mind."

"How is this possible? We got rid of it." Hayley piped up with furrowed brows. She glanced to the family who kept quiet. "Didn't we?" She asked firmly.

"Well, define get rid of?" Klaus tilted his head mocking feigned confusion.

"Disintegrated." Malia voiced up from beside Lydia and Scott. "Gone."

"No." Ophelia deadpanned, receiving curious and confused eyes from the pack and Hayley. "We kept the final one in case one of us, wanted to opt out." She explained.

"You mean-" Lydia frowned.

"If we wanted to end our life one day." Elijah nodded to the strawberry blonde.

The pack nodded in understanding.

"But we had it hidden, so I am not sure how this wretched women found it's remnants." Klaus hissed, standing behind his twin.

"Locator spell?" Hayley suggested.

Klaus and Elijah shook their heads, "Freya had placed the spell on it after the ordeal with Marcellus and Lucien." Elijah explained.

"But Freya technically died." Ophelia spoke up, "Whilst Hayley was off looking for the last of the Crescent wolves, we were in her talisman. Basically dead."

"The spell broke." Hayley affirmed, sighing through her nose frustratingly.

"And Gerard went to find it." Scott nodded.

"So, they have a way to kill not just us but now the immortal family that could never be killed yet has been killed numerous times-" Malia rambled, coming to a halt seeing the glares worn on Elijah, Klaus and Hayley. "Just saying."

"What happens now?" Liam asked softly with a frown, fearing not only would his friends get killed but the ones who couldn't be killed now fall under the hunters radar.

"Nothing." Ophelia shrugged.

"Sister-" Klaus began.

"She is correct." Elijah nodded to the red head, "They have a way to kill our family. Meaning if one crosses the line we kill them all. Which they already have." He began. "If they have forged the white oak into bullets and weapons already then it appears we only have one option."

"Kill them." "Talk to them." Klaus, Hayley and Scott said in unison.

Ophelia sighed sitting back in her seat, tuning out her family and friends who began to bicker. She glanced down to her bracelet, the diamond B catching her doe eyes. Gnawing on her lip she trailed her finger across the silver charm, then to the T.

Ophelia gasped as a jolt of electricity shocked her. The pack and Original family looked to the red head in confusion.

"What's the matter?" Klaus asked worriedly to his sister. "Are you alright?" He asked softly.

"I'm fine." She ignored the worry that was held in his blue irises. "Arguing isn't going to get us anywhere. We'll try one more time, Chris agreed to speak to him and Monroe. If they fail to meet our treaty, then we kill them. We don't have time to wait whilst others die." She said firmly, Klaus parted his lips alongside Elijah, "We aren't just saving our family anymore. It's our people." She narrowed her eyes at her older brothers. She locked eyes with Scott, "We're at war, Scott. You don't get out without blood on your hands." She said, exiting the living room leaving the group in their thoughts.

She glanced down to her wrist, the T shined and captured her dark eyes. Clenching her jaw she made her way into her study. Pulling out her phone and dialling a certain blue eyed Chimera's number.

"I'M not gonna tell you anything." Jiang breathed out, electricity shocking through his body.

"I don't really have any questions." Schrader shrugged holding up his shock baton, shocking the teen again. Receiving more painful groans from the wolf. He moved over to the blonde beside him, "I don't have any questions for you either."

"Good." Tierney hissed. Schrader shocked the blonde, who whaled out in agony.

"Stop! Just stop." Jiang pleaded the former Eichen orderly.

"We're not afraid to die." Tierney said boldly glaring up at the man.

"Does that go for everyone here?" Schrader taunted the blonde, tilting his head to the side.

"Not me." A voice piped up. Schrader turned to the teen with a glare, "No death. No pain. I'll tell you anything you want to know."

The man dug the baton into the Chimera's abdomen receiving grunts from the teen. "I don't have any questions." He shouted in his ears.

"Okay. Maybe you have some unfinished business with these two losers. But I'm not with them." Theo huffed, trying to bargain with the man. "I-I don't know who they are, or what they did or what their problem is. I'm not apart of it." He stammered shaking his head.

Schrader nodded mockingly, grabbing a bucket of water and tossing it over the three teens heads.

Theo heaved, gritting his teeth. "That wasn't friendly." He said lowly.

Schrader sat back down his thumb hovered over the remote teasingly.

Tierney growled, "Just do it!" Theo glared at the blonde. The three's bodies jolted from the electricity that flowed from the metal rods behind them into their bodies.

"How about you let me do the talking?" Theo sarcastically asked the blonde, who growled at the teen. "You obviously have us here for a reason-" Theo began, only for Schrader to shock them once more. "If you, if you tell me what you want-" Shock. "I'm trying to help you." He heaved. "What the hell did you two do?" He shouted looking to the two omega's beside him. Only to be shocked once again. "All right, like, can, can you just-" Theo panted.

Shrieks and grunts continued to echo trough the basement.

"Stop it. Stop it!" Tierney pleaded, as more shocks of electricity shocked through them.

Theo gritted his teeth and fluttered his eyes shut. Electricity swarming through his body. A pair of doe eyes flashed through his mind. Long wavy hair; almost like flames dancing around a fire. Her lips parted as she began to mouth words to the Chimera. Theo grunted and shook his head. Her face now more clear; as he tried to pry his eyes open only to find out he couldn't.

"WE du le mon ennemi on ton. We du le mon ennemi on ton." Ophelia chanted over the salted circle and the candle that was illuminated in front of her. Sitting indian style she fluttered her eyes shut."We du le mon ennemi on ton. We du le mon ennemi on ton." She repeated.

"Ex spiritum in tacullum, en terrum incendium, phasmatos salves a distum. Ex spiritum in tacullum, en terrum incendium, phasmatos salves a distum."

THEO opened his blue irises, he turned his head around the room. Blue eyes locked to the two wolves located beside him, then to the man who sat chuckling in the chair across from him. Furrowing his brows he looked around the room. He glanced down to his wrists that were locked against the metal gate, binded by zip ties.

With a gasp he blinked rapidly looking wide eyed around the room, shutting his eyes he no longer saw the beautiful red head. Gritting his teeth he glared at Schrader, releasing a growl. "If we get out of this alive. I'm gonna kill you myself. And then I'm gonna-" Theo began, only to furrow his brows. He sniffed the air looking down at his wrists he narrowed his eyes at the now burning zip ties. "O?" He whispered to himself with wide eyes.

Jiang and Tierney looked to the chimera in confusion and annoyance.

"So, that's all you got?" Theo smirked locking eyes with Schrader. A chuckled escaped his throat, "Because I'm not impressed. What did they do?" He breathed out. "Give you permission to shock us a little, but not do any real damage? They don't trust you Schrader." The ex-orderly looked up upon hearing his name. "Yeah, that's right. I remember you. Weird little sadist from Eichen House."

Schrader stood up and loomed over Theo who stood his ground, "Did they fire you? Or did you get out of there before they realized you were just another psycho that shouldn't been locked up with the other freaks?" Theo looked down, seeing Schrader turn up the jolts of electricity on his remote. "No, they fired you, didn't they? Did you get caught trying to stick helpless patients with needles again? Or did they catch you trying to stick them with something else?" Theo hissed.

Schrader glared at the Chimera who chuckled, "Looks like-" Theo hissed through the pain. Only to growl louder. The scent of burning plastic lingered the air. "We've got-"

โ–‚โ–‚โ–‚โ–‚

OPHELIA fluttered her eyes opened, "Phasmatos-" She began. "Incendia."

โ–‚โ–‚โ–‚โ–‚

"A winner!" Theo roared, his zip ties went up in flames. Growling he grabbed Schrader by the shoulder and tossed him down to the ground harshly.

Jiang and Tierney backed away from Theo, watching as he tied the male to the cage where the trio had previously been in.

Theo made his way over to his sweater and coat that had been removed from earlier, slipping them on. Tierney and Jiang followed behind the lone wolf.

"You just gonna leave him here?" Tierney asked with raised brows.

"Him and you." Theo deadpanned, grabbing his iPhone scrolling through the numerous missed phone calls from none other then Ophelia Mikaelson. A small smile graced his lips.

"We didn't need your help anyways." Jlang piped up.

Theo rolled his eyes, and turned around. "Come on. I want to put a couple hundred miles between us and this place by dawn." Tierney nodded to Jlang.

Theo turned around upon hearing the teen, "Wait, you've got a car?" He asked.

"No." Tierney shook her head, grabbing the keys that were placed on the table beside them. "But he does." She raised the keys up to Theo's face, who gripped her wrist eyeing the tattoo on her wrist.

"What is that?" He asked with furrowed brows.

"You've never seen a pack symbol before?" Jiang asked in disbelief.

"I'm not much of a pack animal. What does it mean?" Theo asked the blonde, looking away from Jiang.

"They're stacked rocks. It's a Buddhist practice." Tiernery explained.

"You're part of Satomi's pack. The Buddhist werewolves." Theo said in realization.

"Satomi's dead. We don't have an Alpha or pack anymore." Jiang shook his head.

Theo furrowed his brows, "Pack?" He asked, Jiang nodded solemnly. "Pretty sure you have some left, wasn't there two? Brett and Lori?" He asked.

"Why do you care?" Tiernery asked in defence, a glare prominent on her face recalling the brother and sister.

Theo shook his head in confusion, "Someone I know, um, she knows them. I just thought- never mind." Realization crossed his features.

"Who?" Tierney asked quickly.

"Ophelia Mikaelson." Theo answered swallowing thickly.

"Ophelia?" Jiang breathed out and looked to Tierney who nodded with wide eyes. "Where is she?"

Theo gnawed on his lip and looked down to the car keys, "I could tell you." He raised his hand out to the two wolves. Tierney handed the keys to the Chimera.

Theo turned to look at Schrader and then to the remote that laid on the table, with a smirk he turned the remote around shocking the man.

The trio exited the building, finding Schrader's car.

"There it is." Theo announced to the beeping car. Just as car sirens and cars surrounded them three. "Don't move. And let me do the talking. Only me."

Noah exited his jeep walking over to the familiar Chimera, "Theo."

"Sheriff." Theo smiled to the man. "What seems to be the problem here?" He asked, glancing behind the man into the empty jeep, hoping to see a familiar face that always lurked with the Stilinski son and McCall Alpha.

Noah cleared his throat averting Theo's attention back to him, "Isn't that usually my line?"

"Just letting you know we don't have a problem." Theo remarked innocently.

"Unfortunately, I think you do." Noah nodded, "Hands above your head. All of you." He demanded looking from Theo to Jlang and Tierney.

"You're arresting us? For what?" Theo asked in disbelief and confusion.

"Murder."
