CHAPTER TWELVE โ”โ” heartless

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  OPHELIA sat on top of Theo punching the Chimera repeatedly. Theo coughed and choked on his blood, allowing the girl he cared for to beat the living hell out of him. Kai tilted his head, shoving his hand into his pocket pulling out his IPhone, discreetly clicking on the camera app. He held the phone up and filmed the two. Bonnie glanced to her boyfriend then back to her best friend. She widened her eyes and grabbed the heretic's phone and shoved it into her pocket. Kai frowned at the witch's disapproving eyes.

Ophelia raised her clawed hand above his chest like she had previously done months back, Theo gurgled on his blood. His watery eyes met hers, "It's okay. You don't have to stop." He whispered to the red head. Ophelia furrowed her brows and parted her lips, in confusion. Scott ran over grabbing the tribrid by her waist and pulled her away from the bloodied Chimera.

"O, enough. Stop." Scott pulled her back steadying her in place. "Hey, it's okay." He whispered soothing the red head. Theo parted his lips at the duo, pain ached in his chest watching the two.

"It was just getting good." Kai frowned.

"Honestly." Malia whispered, rolling her eyes at the beaten and bloodied boy who laid his back against the wall behind him.

Ophelia glared at the wolf who sat on the floor, "He's going back in the ground." Scott promised the growling tribrid.

Malia growled lowly, "Now."

"You can't." Liam piped up, shaking his head.

"Who the hell is this?" Kai asked in annoyance at the blue eyed beta. Liam glared at the heretic who raised his hands in mock surrender, Bonnie looked apologetically to the boy. "He remembers Stiles."

"Scott remembers Stiles. Lydia remembers Stiles. Ophelia and I remember Stiles." Malia hissed to the blue eyed boy.

"The Dread Doctors knew all about the Wild Hunt. He can help us." Liam pleaded with his Alpha.

"Or he could kill us." Scott remarked.

"He's my responsibility." Liam said. "Noshiko gave me the sword." He raised the metal object to the three. Bonnie and Kai stood by and eyed the sword warily and in awe.

Theo sighed, "It's so awkward when Mom and Dad fight."

"Shut up!" The four shouted in unison.

"You three are right. If Theo tried anything, we'll send him back to the Skinwalkers. But for right now-" Hayden tried.

"He goes back now." Scott demanded.

"Except Liam's the one with the sword." Theo nervously looked up to the five.

"Shut up!" The seven shouted annoyed with the Chimera.

Scott nodded to Liam the two exited to the room. Ophelia glared at the Chimera who looked up with regretful eyes. Malia stepped forwards, as Hayden halted the coyote. "Malia-"

"Can you give us two a second alone with Theo?" Malia asked the Chimera in front of her then to the witch and heretic who stood beside Ophelia.

"Why?" Hayden whispered.

"Because, if Ophelia won't kill him. I will." She hissed.

"Okay, look, I know that there's mixed feelings all around." Theo began, panting slightly.

"Pretty sure they all hate you, buddy." Kai piped up, eyeing the Chimera.

Theo glared at the heretic ignoring his words. Theo looked up at the Original who avoided his burning gaze. "But I might be your only option to stop the Wild Hunt."

"We should kill him." Malia nodded to the Original.

Ophelia shook her head, Hayden gave the tribrid pleading eyes. Ophelia rolled her eyes at the girl who smiled knowing she gave in. Walking past the Chimera into the kitchen she grabbed a washcloth and dampened the material.

Ophelia walked back into the living room seeing Theo now standing off to the side, alone. He lacked his cocky and confident aura. The mischievous gleam in his ocean blue eyes. And she didn't need to be supernatural nor a witch to realize that. Pushing away her thoughts, she gritted her teeth and shoved the cloth into his chest. Theo grasped the material in his hands and looked up with parted lips. "Clean your face. It's embarrassing." She muttered walking back over to Bonnie and Kai. Theo pressed his lips into a thin line and frowned at how close the man and her were.

He knew she'd be mad at him, or hate him even. But a part him hoped while he was in his own personal hell, she would show a small amount of relief seeing him. She had avoided his eyes every time they made eye contact. It's like she couldn't see his face or believe he was there.

When he first woke up the first word the came out of his mouth was the Original's name. Even when he was down in hell. His one thought was the red head he had betrayed.

โ”โ”โ”

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  THEO gasped, his eyes widened. The Chimera looked around him frantically seeing he was in a enclosed space. He furrowed his brows looking up he eyed the small square door in front of him. Raising his hands he hit the door. His hits getting stronger by the punch.

The door swung open, Theo slid out falling to the floor. He glanced around seeing he was in an operating room, the same one in Beacon Memorial.

๐“๐ก๐ž๐จ.

A voice echoed through his ears. Theo parted his lips and walked towards the doors, "Ophelia?" He whispered, not believing his ears. How was the red head here? What happened? Where was he? Where was everyone? He thought to himself.

Pushing his hands out he unlocked the door, and walked into the darkened hallway.

๐“๐ก๐ž๐จ.

The Chimera walked down to the hall slowly, "Lia? Where are you?" He asked, his thick brows scrunched up in confusion. Chills ran through the boy's body.

Hissing was heard from behind him, startling the Chimera. Theo whipped his head around and widened his eyes. "Tara?" He whispered in fear seeing his dead sister. Her hand lurched forward, as he stumbled back in fear. Theo panted heavily starring up at his sister. As she dug his hand into his chest, ripping out his heart. He screamed in agony.

Flashes flashed before his eyes, the lake, his sister dying whilst he watched, the Dread Doctors.

Theo awoke with a gasp, seeing he was in the same place; the morgue. He punched his way through the door again. Falling to the floor he panted in fear, whipping his head around.

๐“๐ก๐ž๐จ.

Theo parted his lips hearing Tara's voice. His lips quivered. He ran out of the door hastily, seeing the same darkened hallway. The Chimera sprinted down the halls to the front of the hospital banging against the doors.

๐ƒ๐จ๐ง'๐ญ ๐›๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ค ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ

Theo punched the glass, he slapped the glass once more leaning his forehead against the glass door. A hand grasped his shoulder whipping him around. Theo widened his eyes, "Tara, don't!" He pleaded. Only for her to rip out his heart again.

One nightmare turned into five, then into ten. Theo awoke again, he climbed out once more and looked up with watery eyes to his sister. "It's okay. You don't have to stop." He breathed out, he hiccupped through his tears. Tara stuck out her arm ripping out his heart.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  LIAM and Scott walked back into the room breaking Theo away from his haunted memories. Ophelia eyed the Chimera as he looked to the floor his face void of emotion. Theo glanced to the Original who looked away.

"I can put you back into the ground at any time." Liam threatened.

"You also need a transformer that can handle five billion joules of electricity." Theo remarked. "I know where to find one and I can show you how it works." He nodded. "I'll tell you if Malia promises not kill me. Or him." He nodded to the were-coyote then to the glaring heretic.

"They promise." Liam nodded.

"Uh, no we don't." Malia shook her head at the beta.

"Yeah, I'm with crazy pants over here." Kai pointed to the growling coyote, who looked like she was moments away from tearing the Chimera apart.

"He promises." Bonnie nodded, nudging her boyfriend.

"We're really going to do this?" Malia asked Scott in disbelief. "Trust him? Did you forget what he did to you? To us? To O?" She hissed to the Alpha.

Ophelia gritted her teeth and dug her nails into the palms of her hands. Theo parted his lips at the coyote's words, then to the Original.

"You got a better idea?" Hayden retorted.

"I've got an idea. It may not be better but at least it's not him." Malia walked past the Chimera.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  OPHELIA rolled her eyes walking through the forest, she groaned seeing mud on the front of her boots. Liam is paying for them, she thought to herself. The beta had texted her asking for a favour, when she had asked as to what it was he just continued to plea until she gave in. "Liam, why did you call me? I'm on ascendent duty." Ophelia walked down the hill eyeing the blue eyed beta who smiled nervously.

"Well, um." He smiled sweetly raising the chains he had in his hands up to the Original.

"Oh, bloody hell." She cursed glaring at the couple then to Theo who raised his hand waving to the tribrid with a smile. "Yeah, no." She turned on her heels.

"Please! We need your help. Bonnie and Kai are handling the ascendent thingy and Malia has her plan. Just please help us? We can even duck tape his mouth shut." Liam bargained.

"No." Ophelia shook her head crossing her arms across her chest. Liam pouted giving the red head his best puppy eyed look. Liam nudged Hayden, who rolled her eyes at her boyfriend but nonetheless copied his actions. Ophelia grumbled walking to the beta and grasped the chains from his hands. "I told Scott, I stopped killing. Doesn't mean I won't feed." She narrowed her eyes at the two teens.

"Noted." Liam gulped and smiled at the Original.

Ophelia glared at the Chimera and yanked the chains forwards. Theo lurched forwards, a high pitched shriek left the boys throat at the sudden movement. Liam and Hayden eyed the Chimera, who cleared his throat and held his head high. Stalking after the red head.

"I told you guys where it was. I don't need to be there when it blows up." Theo spoke up.

"It's not going to blow up." Hayden remarked. "They ride on lightning and we can use that to catch one and keep him there until we figure out what they want."

"If you don't shut your hole. I will make you blow up." Ophelia hissed turning to face the Chimera. "And while you were gone, I've inherited a few abilities and lets just say with one look I can make you squeal like the pig you are." Theo clenched his jaw at the Original.

"Lia, you guys are trying to catch a Ghost Rider. A million things can go wrong. You know this is a bad idea." Theo walked closer to the Original ignoring her words.

"Scott's right. This was a mistake." Liam walked over to the Original and Hayden.

"You took a risk. We took a risk. But it was the right thing to do." Hayden looked to Liam. The brunette walked over to the beta. "I believe in you."

Ophelia raised a brow at the two as Theo glanced to the red head in amusement. Ophelia tugged on the chains harshly, the Chimera hissed in pain. The duo watched the two kiss.

"You guys want me to leave you alone? Oh, that's right. I cant." Theo gritted out holding his chained hands up. "Can we please go somewhere else." He pleaded looking up at the Original.

"I much rather watch you wither in uncomfortableness." Ophelia smirked to the Chimera. Thunder roared above the four, Ophelia swallowed thickly and tugged Theo along, not as rough as before. Theo internally thanked her. The four walked down to the cabin.

Hayden unlocked the door, the four entered. Ophelia turned to Theo and focused on the boys wrists ignoring his burning gaze. She gripped the metal and broke it off from the boy's wrists. She eyed the red marks that stained his tan skin, she frowned. Theo rubbed his wrists wincing slightly. The Original looked up meeting his ocean blue eyes. Theo parted his lips, Ophelia cleared her throat and spun on her heels away from the boy.

Ophelia smiled seeing Corey, and Mason. "You did it." Ophelia smiled to Mason.

"Of course we did it." He nodded.

Theo made his way over to the generator and turned it on. "This thing can transmute the energy from a lightening bolt. Even successive strikes." He explained to the group.

"Mason, are you sure this is gonna work?" Scott asked the human.

"Well, whatever's inside this cage is shielded from any outside electrical current." Mason explained to the Alpha. "So the Ghost Rider won't be able to use lightening to escape."

"Well, that's bloody brilliant. How do we capture one?" Ophelia raised a brow to the boys.

"We put a lightening rod on the roof and connect it to that conduit cable." Corey explained pointing to the ceiling. "Drawing the Ghost Rider to that spot." He then pointed to the nearby cage.

"We can't send him directly in because the cage neutralizes electromagnetism. Lightening will just bounce off it. Which is the same reason it'll hold him in." Mason explained.

Ophelia smiled, "I'm so proud of you boys." She gushed ruffling Liam's hair. The beta playfully glared to the tribrid fixing his hair back into it's place, his cheeks tinting pink in embarrasment.

"So if the Ghost Rider lands here, how do we get him in the cage?" Scott asked the teens.

"Uh, well. Um." Corey stammered. "We were hoping a little witch magic could some how lure him in or better yet throw him in." He smiled innocently to the tribrid who was looking to Scott.

The five all looked to the red head who, pursed her lips and looked to the teens with a raised brow. "Why me?" She whined.

"Because you're the only one who could get him without touching him." Hayden explained.

"Do I get to vote?" She frowned. The five shook their heads. "I'm older then you lot. But fine, I shall sacrifice my well being for you all." She dramatically sighed.

"You can't die." Liam piped up.

"Liam, don't ruin the moment." Ophelia whispered to the beta beside her.

"Okay, so as soon as Lia does her witchy thing, Scott and Liam-" Mason nodded to the two boys and closed the cage doors. "You guys close the gates, and then I'll put down a barrier of Mountain Ash." Mason explained holding a jar of the ash.

"I'll be on the roof to take down the rod." Corey nodded to the group.

"We'll be on the lookout for any other Ghost Riders." Mason finished.

"What do you think?" Mason asked the Alpha for his approval.

"I think it's the best idea that we have right now." Scott nodded to his beta.

"As long as everything goes perfectly and he doesn't escape and kill us all." Theo piped up, worry rushing through him. Ophelia sighed through her nose glancing to the Chimera who shrugged softly.

"And your transformer works and the whole place doesn't catch on fire." Hayden retorted.

"Well, I'm sure Lia would have a spell for that. Right?" Liam nervously glanced to the Original whose brows shot up.

"I'm a witch, not Aquaman." Ophelia remarked. "But I can stop it."

"Well, let's do it." Scott nodded, placing a reassuring hand on the Original's shoulder. Theo glanced to the two with a frown.

Mason nodded and turned the knob on. Electricity crackled through the room. Ophelia parted her lips and swallowed thickly. The blue lines of electricity roamed around the cage viciously. Reminding her of The Hollow. The Original silently took a step back, Theo looked over and raised a brow, 'are you okay?' He mouthed to the Original. Ophelia inhaled sharply, and gave a firm nod to the boy. Even though they both knew she was far from it.

MY BABIES ARE BACK...

Honestly Theo redeemed himself so much in Season 6, how he helped Liam and the pack. I don't get why some people still hate him... I mean yes he killed, and broke the pack apart, etc. But he was a child who was corrupted, and had no one by his side to help him.

It reminds me of Klaus, but he had his family to constantly pull him back, mainly Elijah and Rebekah. But still I don't know maybe I'm mental.
