CHAPTER SEVEN โโ sundowning
OPHELIA, Malia, Scott, and Lydia arrived to the nursing home. Scott and Lydia had gone off wondering how'd they get in. Malia and Ophelia explained that they could just easily walk in. The two didn't understand their hesitation seeing as how they've broken into Eichen which had much more high maintenance and was far worse then a nursing home in a small town outside of Beacon Hills.
"I can't believe we're about to break into a nursing home." Scott nervously said.
"We've broken into The Hale vault, School, Eichen house, the Sheriff's station. I doubt a nursing home is problematic, Scott." Ophelia shrugged, drinking from her thermos which consisted of a blood bag.
"Exactly. After the orderlies at Eichen House, pretty sure we can handle a few nurses." Malia rolled her eyes at the Alpha.
The two girls entered the building, making their way over to the receptionist desk. Malia walked over and grabbed the man by his shoulder banging his head onto the desk. Ophelia pulled out her phone from her jean pocket and pulled out her Camera app, filming the brunette. "Oh, mother of-" The nurse cursed, Malia dragged the man into a nearby office locking the door.
Ophelia stood outside the door, sipping on her drink. "Did you know they have editing apps where you can add sparkles onto your video? It's magnificent really." The Original gushed, swiping through her phone.
"Ohh, put blue for me." Malia mused with a grin.

THE four walked into the game room, seeing Elias Stilinski sitting alone. Ophelia glanced around the room seeing that no doctors were monitoring the man. Very different from Eichen where the patients had eyes everywhere.
"Yes?" Elias looked to the four in confusion.
"Oh." Scott muttered eyeing the much older man.
"Is it time for my medicine?"He asked.
"Uh, no?" Ophelia squinted her eyes.
"We don't have your medicine." Malia deadpanned.
"Oh." He turned back around, the four tilted their heads to the old man.
"Are you Elias Stilinski?" Lydia's soft voice asked.
Elias turned to the banshee, "I am."
Lydia looked to the three who nodded. The banshee walked over to the elderly man, "I'm Lydia Martin. Do you know who I am?" She asked.
"Should I?" Elias furrowed his brows.
"Hey, Mr.Stilinski we're looking for somebody who might be named Stiles. You went by that name in the Army, right?" Scott asked the man kindly.
"Yes." He nodded. "Best years of my life." He added.
"Do you know any of us?" Malia asked.
"Of course I do." He nodded, looking up at Scott who parted his lips. "How could I forget my own son?"
Ophelia facepalmed herself. "Your son?" Scott asked in confusion.
Scott looked over to the girls in confusion. "Mr.Stilinski what year is it?" She asked.
"1976. It's my son's birthday next week." He explained.
"He has dementia." Lydia gritted her teeth.
"Is it time for my medicine?" He asked again with wide eyes looking between the four.
Ophelia growled lowly. "Oh, bloody hell."

ELIAS turned to the Alpha in confusion, "Scott McCall?" Scott nodded. "No, no, no, no. You're my son." He nodded to the boy.
"Keep it down, old guy." Malia hissed. "You'll wake the other old people." She grabbed handfuls of peas nibbling on the vegetable, narrowing her eyes at the man who sat in front of her. The three glanced over to Malia who continued eating.
"Listen old man, we don't have time for this. Do you know another Stiles or not?" Ophelia pulled out a chair and sat directly in front of him.
Elias leaned back in fear, "Excuse me young lady. Your manners aren't the best. Did your parents not teach you any better?" He asked.
"No they were busy trying to kill me." She rolled her eyes. The three looked to Ophelia then to Elias with raised brows.
"Compel him." Malia nodded.
Ophelia grabbed Elias by his head, looking into his eyes. Her irises dilated as she spook. "Do you know another Stiles?"
Elias pulled away in confusion, "Listen young lady, I am a married man."
Ophelia leaned back scrunching up her nose. Scott held the tribrid up by her arms moving her away next to Malia gently.
"I don't like them." He whispered looking up at Lydia.
Lydia sighed and sat next to the elderly man, "Your son. He's the sheriff of Beacon Hills." She explained.
"Sheriff?" Elias asked.
"No, no, no, no, no. I-I was in the Army." He stammered shaking his head.
"Use your claws, Scott." Malia nodded to the Alpha.
Elias looked wide eyed between the three then to Lydia, "It could kill him." Scott shook his head.
"I get that, but we're running out of time." Malia explained.
"I can't." He shook his head. Hearing Malia's claws the two rushed up pulling her back away from the man. Elias moved away in fear.
"No, Mal." Ophelia shook her head. "There's got to be another way." She mumbled looking up at Scott who nodded to the Original.
"Young lady, you need to clip those nails." Elias commented eyeing Malia's claws. Malia frowned looking down at her hands. "You shouldn't be here. If you don't leave, I'll have to report you." Elias began to yell at the four. Who looked wide eyed to one another.
"What's wrong with him?" Scott asked with furrowed brows.
"The sun went down." Lydia explained looking out the window. Elias began muttering to himself looking through the sheets that laid in front of him.
"And? What's wrong with the moon?" Ophelia asked in annoyance, she had finished her thermos and she could smell the numerous patients that were just behind the walls. Their blood pumping through their veins. Freya's herbs were acting up on the tribrid who fiddled with her bracelet. Scott glanced to the red head with worried doe eyes.
"He's sundowning." Lydia explained to the two. "It's when dementia patients lose their faculties after the sun goes down."
"I don't want to talk to you anymore!" He shouted, his breathing intensified.
"So what do we do? Can't you do something? Witchy juju him? Compel him again? How do we shut him up?" Malia rambled agitated with the old man.
"There's vervain in him, and we don't have time to wait 24 hours. And I don't know a spell to shut him up, my grimoire is at home." Ophelia pinched the bridge of her nose.
Lydia looked down then back to the two, "We have to wait till the sun comes back up." Elias continued to mutter to himself.
"We can't wait that long." Malia shook her head.
"There's gotta be something we can do to keep him quiet." Scott looked between the three.
"Leave, leave, leave." Elias exclaimed pointing to the four in agitation.
"We can calm him down." Malia proposed, pointing between her and the Original.
"No!" Scott and Lydia shouted in unison.
"Rude." Ophelia mumbled.
"Elias. Look at the equations. Look." Lydia sorted the papers in front of the man. "It's binomial probability. What's p?"
"Um, probability of success?" He asked.
"Right." Lydia nodded. "And that means N minus K is?" Lydia asked pointing to the math problems. The three looked to one another in confusion.
"Uh, number of trials minus the number of successes." He exclaimed.
Lydia chuckled and nodded, "We're in math class now?" Ophelia asked with squinted eyes.
"Yeah, what's with the math?" Malia asked shoving peas into her mouth looking down at the sheets then to the banshee.
"It helps dementia patients concentrate." She whispered to her best friends. "And this one?" She pointed to the sheet again.
"That's, um. Conditional probability." He looked up to the four nodding.
"Let's find the moment of inertia." Lydia nodded to the elderly man, who stood up more confidently looking through the papers. Lydia pulled out more sheets onto the table, "Elias." She looked up to the man.
"That's Mr.Stilinski. Just who the hell do you think you are?" He asked the four.
Lydia looked up to the man, "You know Scott isn't your son?" She asked.
"Of course I know that. Are brains getting smaller with the skirts?" He asked with a roll of his eyes.
"Well-" Ophelia began. Lydia smacked her best friend's arm with narrowed eyes. Ophelia pursed her lips.
Malia lowly growled, "Malia. It's okay." Scott nodded to the coyote.
"So you're that McCall kid." Elias pointed with an amused look to the Alpha.
Scott turned to the man with furrowed brows, "You know me?"
"I know your dad. Couldn't hold his liquor and he certainly couldn't keep that wedding ring on his finger. Pretty young thing would walk by and poof, that ring just disappeared like magic." He explained. Malia glanced to Scott who frowned, she looked back to the elderly man with lowly growled.
"Do you know all of us?" Lydia questioned.
"Oh . . . You're Natalie Martin's girl. Am I right?" He asked pointing to the strawberry blonde. "You look like her. She was pretty once, too."
"Stop talking." Malia hissed, her eyes glowering to the old man.
Ophelia stood up alongside Scott. "Hey, Malia."
"And she also liked to talk like she was the smartest person in the room." He taunted, Lydia narrowed her eyes at the man.
Malia flicked her claws out growing. "Malia!" Ophelia shrieked, pulling her best friend back.
"Enough!" A voice echoed through the room.
Scott parted his lips, "Sheriff, we-"
"I explicitly told you not to come here. And who attacked a staff member?" He asked with narrowed eyes.
Malia and Ophelia raised their hands slowly pointing to one another. "That's her." He nodded to Malia. "Her little friend was with her too." Ophelia and Malia growled lowly eyeing the nurse.
"What the hell were you thinking?" He asked the four.
"Noah. We were just having a nice conversation." Elias explained walking over to his son.
"The four of you. out." Noah demanded. "Now."

OPHELIA stood with her arms crossed beside an equally annoyed Malia Tate. The four had been taken down to the Beacon Hills station after being caught by Noah Stilinski. They were met with an irritated Natalie Martin.
"We know this looks bad." Scott began.
"It doesn't look bad, Scott. It is bad." She exclaimed. "You broke into a nursing home, you harassed a dementia patient, and you beat up a nurse."
Ophelia parted her lips raising her finger in the air nervously, "Well, um, I'd like to say we didn't all beat up a nurse." Natalie glared at the Original who stood back sheepishly behind the Alpha.
"This could affect the rest of your lives. Especially you, Malia. They're talking about felony assault." She exclaimed looking to the coyote.
"I didn't beat him up. I could have. But I chose not to. We even have it on camera." Malia defended herself glancing to the tribrid who nodded.
"You filmed it?" Natalie asked in disbelief looking between the two girls.
"Well, I mean." Ophelia began. "There's a sparkle filter on it." She mumbled with a frown. Natalie scoffed in disbelief at the two.
Noah opened the door, "By some miracle the nurse decided to drop the charges. They're free to go." He announced, closing the door behind him.
"Just because you're not going to jail, doesn't mean you're not grounded for eternity." Natalia spoke to her daughter.
"But our movie date is on Friday." Ophelia frowned looking to her best friend then to her mother.
"No movie date." Natalie shook her head.
