CHAPTER THREE โโ bourbon street
TWO hybrids sat in a bar outside of New Orleans. Malia looked through the menu with wide eyes looking through all the options she could choose from. After driving for 2 hours, Malia's constant growling, and pleads for food. Ophelia promised to stop at the next stop, only she distracted Malia with her phone, causing the were-coyote to complain more. Now the two sat with the occasional humming from Malia looking over the mouthwatering choices, and the clicking on Ophelia's phone from her manicured nails.
Malia's phone buzzed in her jean pocket, causing the coyote to growl in annoyance. Ophelia giggled at her irritated best friend, taking a sip from her milkshake she had ordered when Malia was deciding on her choices. Malia decided on what she wanted, as she waited patiently for the waiter.
"Scott's called nine times, O." Malia grumbled looking down at her phone in irritation.
Ophelia sighed already knowing her phone was to ring next, and as if on cue; it began buzzing. Ophelia sighed, and placed her phone face down as the waiter walked over. "Hello, are you ready to order?" She asked kindly to the two girls.
Malia nodded eagerly pulling the menu up, "I'll have three cheeseburgers, two medium fries, a large diet coke, two water bottles. And, uh, what is this? Poo-tin?" She narrowed her eyes at the word in confusion.
"Poutine." Ophelia spoke up, her eyes glued down at her phone seeing texts from her friends. Malia looked up tilting her head, in more confusion. "It's fries with gravy and cheese." Ophelia explained.
Malia widened her eyes at the sound of it, "I'll have two." She smiled looking up at the waiter eagerly to try this new fond food. Malia's phone broke her out of her trance looking at the back to the kitchen which contained her brunch. With a low growl she answered the phone, "What?!"
"Malia? Where's Ophelia? You both aren't at school." Liam's frantic voice spoke up, Scott mumbling in the background.
With a roll of her eyes, she handed the phone over to Ophelia. Who made faces and protests not wanting to talk to the boys about what was to come. Malia narrowed her eyes at her best friend, her blue iris glowing, Ophelia growled and took the phone from her hand and inwardly prepared herself for the questions that was to come her way.
"Liam-" Ophelia began.
"Where the hell are you two?! We've been calling all morning, we went to your homes only for Mr.Tate to chase after Scott and I with a loaded shotgun may I add and-" Liam rambled over the phone.
"We're fine." She assured the blue eyed beta. "We just, uh, are taking a day off." Ophelia nonchalantly responded twirling the straw of her milkshake. Malia watched the workers intently in the kitchens working on her meal.
Scott took the phone from his betas hand, "Why? Find My Friends, says you're in New Orleans. We'll come and get you two-" Scott rushed out in worry, looking down at his phone at the app alongside Mason and Liam.
Ophelia sighed, and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Scott, I needed Malia, because I have business to handle here. We're fine, we can take care of ourselves." She rolled her eyes, immediately regretting her choice of words.
Scott swallowed a lump in his throat, thinking of Allison. He nodded to Mason and Liam who were both looking to the Alpha with wide eyes. "Just-just be careful, O." He softly mumbled into the phone.
"We will. You have my word." She promised the puppy eyed Alpha. Her phone vibrated indicating she got a text, looking down in relief seeing it was from the witch she needed to meet. "Scott, I have to go. I'll text you later." She hung up, and grasped Malia's hand who nearly tumbled out of the booth drooling, staring at the food being made. She walked out of the diner with her best friend cursing in protest, stomping her feet like a child towards the car.
"Seriously!" Malia shouted entering the car, grumbling.

THE duo walked into Rousseau's towards the back of the bar. Vampires nodding towards the Original in respect, who strutted past. Malia glared at the vampires, grasping the hybrid's forearm. The duo approached a green eyed witch who sat looking down at her phone.
Ophelia sat in front of the girl, with raised brows. "Bonnie."
The witch looked up and raised a brow to the hybrid, "Ophelia."
Malia looked back in forth between the two wondering if a fight was to commence. But her thoughts were wrong upon the two smiling widely to one another, standing up and embracing each other in a hug.
After what had happened back in Mystic Falls, the Original family going their own way, Klaus fathering a child and all. The Mystic Falls gang had their own enemies and problems ahead of them, as did the immortal family. After The Hollow's possession with the family, Klaus reuniting with Caroline Forbes, the family became oddly close with the gang that remained back in the small town.
Bonnie looked sadly to the hybrid, Caroline had told the witch about losing Theo. Well Klaus, had told Caroline who spoke with Hayley, Davina, Freya, Keelin and Bonnie as well as Elena. The seven women wanted nothing more then to speak with the hybrid and take her mind off things which they did shortly after losing the blue eyed chimera. But she still remained as if nothing happened.
"How are you?" Bonnie's soft voice rang through their ears. Malia narrowed her eyes at the witch wondering if she and her best friend were once best friend's as well. Bonnie glanced at the the short haired girl, who glared at the witch.
Ophelia falsely smiled, "Better." She assured Bonnie. Bonnie looked to the were-coyote who shook her head, moving her finger in circular motion near her temple indicating, 'she's losing it' to the witch.
With a nod the green eyed witch changed the subject, "So, you called?" She raised a brow to the immortal.
"Yes." Ophelia nodded taking out a handkerchief curtesy of her brother Elijah. Laying it on the bar table, revealing a silver chain with initials dangling from the delicate chain. Ophelia glanced to the newest chain added which was a T with small engraved diamonds down the letter.
Bonnie tilted her head eyeing the L in sadness. Clearing her throat, she looked up at the red head. "Uh, what about it?"
Ophelia shook her head, "I've been having dreams. For months now, it's fragments. It's going to sound insane but I believe a witch is trying to contact me. Specifically Ayana." Bonnie furrowed her brows in confusion. "Bennett."
Bonnie widened her eyes, "Are you sure? Why would she try to contact you after all this time?" She asked. Malia looked around the bar looking for the waiter to order something, growling lowly as the waiters ignored the short haired brunette.
"I'm not sure, that's why I've called you and Freya. I need you both to go in my head work some witchy juju and see what the hell is happening to me. I believe a witch removed my memories, meaning one can get them back." She explained.
Bonnie gnawed on her lip, and nodded. The green eyed witch reached over to grasp the bracelet, her finger tips hovered over the chain, grazing the metal only to pull back with a gasp. With wide eyes she looked between the bracelet and the Original who furrowed her brows in confusion.
Malia looked to the witch with a bored look, "What? Are you wearing polyester or something?" She rolled her eyes.
Bonnie ignored the brunette and looked to the Original, "We need to see Freya now." She stood up collecting her things alongside the confused duo in front of her.
"Seriously? I haven't even ordered yet!" Malia exclaimed in irritation.

THE trio arrived to a beautiful home, located right outside of New Orleans. After everything that occurred in the city, Freya and Keelin wanted to be near the family but also in their own personal space. Enough for the wolf and the witch.
Ophelia smiled up at the house, walking beside Bonnie. Malia trailing behind the duo. The front door opened revealing a small five year old, who smiled widely upon the Original's presence. She ran down the steps of the white home, running on her small legs to the immortal who crouched down with her arms opened engulfing the small child in a hug.
"How's my little sunshine doing?" Ophelia mumbled into Margo's chocolate curly hair, kissing her chubby cheeks.
Margo giggled as Ophelia hoisted the small girl onto her hip, "Good." She smiled a toothless smile to the strawberry blonde. "Mama's are inside!" She exclaimed happily.
Bonnie smiled to the little girl who waved at the familiar witch. Malia tilted her head at the small child who shyly hid her head into Ophelia's neck. Malia smiled softly.
The four made their way into the house, upon the arrival of the trio the woman walked out from the kitchen in confusion, "Margo! We said no more exploring-" Keelin's silky voice shouted. Coming to a halt seeing the familiar red head. "Ophelia!" She smiled warmly making her way to the doe eyed girl who placed her daughter down, engulfing one another.
Freya walked out from her study seeing her sister, she smiled walking over hugging the red head. "I got your message." She mumbled into her shoulder, as Keelin greeted Bonnie and Malia. "It sounded urgent, what's wrong?" She asked puling away looking to the trio.
Ophelia gnawed on her lip pulling out her bracelet hanging from her fingers, shining in the light. "We need to talk." She stated, as the women looked at the bracelet, that dangled back and fourth.
