EVELYN LEANED AGAINST THE WALL of the empty hallway back at the CCPD. Her head spun as she tried to help Barry find a solution to the problem. Cisco's trap to find out who this supposed Harrison Wells really was worked out. He was indeed the Reverse Flash. And now if that wasn't enough to worry about, he repaired the particle accelerator and it's slowly building up to its full potential. Now, everyone was rushed around trying to find a way to safely transport the metas before the particle accelerator went off. If not, all those metas are dead.
"Okay, so A.R.G.U.S. has a transport plane that can take the meta-humans to Lian Yu. We just need to get them to Ferris Airfield." Barry informed Joe and Evelyn of the strings he was able to pull.
"So Oliver Queen came through then?" Asked Joe.
"Uh, no. Actually, it was not him. Apparently he's in Nanda Parbat..." Barry said a bit unsure about the location part.
"What?" Said Joe.
"Wherever that is. I don't know." Barry brushed it off quickly to get to the point. "I called Lyla, Diggle's wife. She's gonna hook us up. So, what about CCPD giving us an escort?"
"Man, it ain't happening." Joe sighed in defeat.
"What?" Barry hissed.
"You saw me talking to the D.A. She was very clear. I could lose my badge. I could go to jail. We all could go to jail." Joe explained the consequences if they went down this road.
But Barry was still persistent on helping these metas the way he felt was best. "We... we are protecting people."
"We are Barry, but....I'm a cop. There's certain set of rules I need to follow, and this year, I broke all of them. Lying to my boss..." Joe told him.
"I know." Barry sighed, and Evelyn frowned. She understood how Joe felt very well. She can relate to his conflict for she too had been breaking the rules and lying to the people she cared about. But just like Joe, she did it for the sake of others. She did it for a good reason, but that still didn't help silence the guilt.
"Ignoring the law. I mean, at what point do we become no different than the people we're fighting?" Joe added but this only angered Barry.
"We are way different." Barry replied.
"How?"
"We only break the rules to help people." Barry defended himself before he stormed off.
Joe frowned to himself as he glanced at the empty space where Barry once stood. Evelyn placed a hand on his shoulder earning his attention. "I'm gonna go talk to him. Okay?"
Evelyn walked outside the CCPD to find Barry waiting for her. She wondered if he knew she would follow, or did he need something from her. Perhaps it was the latter. "Barry. Hey." She said as she jogged over to him. "Look, with Joe-"
"I need your help." Barry cut right to the chase, and Evelyn frowned slightly. So, it was the 'needs something from her' option after all.
"What do you need that only I can help you with?" Evelyn asked him with crossed arms.
"I need you to take me to your boyfriend." Barry told her with a faint smirk. Evelyn rolled her eyes with a slight smile. "Look, please you're the only one who knows where he could be. You know all the places he goes, and this has to stay between us for now."
"I don't know..." Evelyn trailed off conflicted on whether or not this was the best option.
"I really need his help, Evelyn." Barry pressed desperately.
"Do you really think you can trust him with all of this?" Evelyn asked him honestly. She knew Leonard, and he was never the community service kind of guy. She loved him but at the end of the day he was raised a criminal. He'll only agree to help Barry if he'll benefit from it. But she knew he could be better than a criminal, that deep down inside he can be a good man. So, maybe this could be his chance to do just that?
"Honestly... no." Barry laughed emptily. "But I'm really desperate. Besides, I trust you. He has to have some good in him if someone like you can love him." Evelyn smiled genuinely at that.
"I may or may not have agreed to meet him at Saints and Sinners today." Evelyn told Barry with a smirk.

Leonard walked over to the bar. He had been waiting for thirty minutes for Evelyn to arrive. She was late. The woman who was always on time for everything, was for the first time late. This girl was always so dedicated to being on time for everything even the smallest of things that he couldn't help but be a little bit worried. Although, he hid it well. He remembered the time she refused to leave his side for two hours straight, because she was waiting for midnight to tell him happy birthday. He told himself to think positive for once. She was fine.
"Give me another one." He told the bartender as he leaned forward on the counter top. "Ice cold." Leonard soon felt the presence of others behind him. "Well, well, well...." Smirking he turned to his girl but mainly toward the man beside her. "If it isn't the scarlet speedster."
"We need to talk." Barry told him strongly.
"You know, when I asked you to meet me here I was hoping for only your company. But my kindergarten teacher use to always tell me I needed to work on making friends." Leonard spoke directly to Evelyn with a smirk, and she sighed.
He then turned his attention to Barry. "You want anything? Beer? Food? Pickled eggs here are fantastic." Snart said as he walked passed them and toward the jukebox. Evelyn smiled to herself as he played the song Cold As Ice by the Foreigner.
"No, I'm good. I need your help with a problem." Barry told him. Leonard sat down on the edge of the pool table Evelyn currently leaned against. His fingers discretely brushed hers purposely.
"Must be pretty desperate to come asking for my assistance, but I'll bite." Leonard said as his sight finally landed on Barry. "What do you need?"
"Help transporting some people out of the city." Said Barry.
"How many?"
"Five...." Barry couldn't decide whether or not he should give Snart the whole truth, but he realized that he would find out anyway if he agreed to help. "Five very bad, very angry people who have powers."
"Powers hmm?" Leonard thought to himself briefly. "So you want me to do what? Freeze the problem? Protect you from them if anything goes wrong?" Evelyn rubbed her forehead. She could tell by the way the tone of his voice slowly turned cold that he was growing frustrated with Barry for coming to him for help. Barry nodded his head at Leonard's claim.
Leonard stood to his feet. "First rule of business: always protect yourself. I'm not gonna help you usher your enemies out of town."
"Leo, just hear him out." She told him a tad frustrated, but he chose to ignore her.
"Hey, they're not just my enemies. They're your enemies too." Barry told him as he begun to walk passed him.
"I doubt it." Leonard fired back in hostility. Barry then grabbed ahold of his forearm preventing him from leaving the establishment.
"They will destroy Central City, Leo." Evelyn told him softly. Her tone was pleading.
Leonard held up his stone cold demeanor. He refused to look at her, because he knew he would cave with one glance. He hated the hold she had over him. He's whipped and he knew it which only irritated him more. She had him in the palm of her hands, but she wanted him to be a hero. And he was no hero. It was times like these he wondered if he is what she needed. He could never be the man she wanted him to be. The man she believed he could someday be, and he didn't want to let her down. Not again. "It's not my problem." He countered coldly.
"You said that you love it here. That this is your home" Said Barry.
"I do and it is." Leonard replied dryly.
"Well, guess what? These people get loose, there won't be a city to love anymore. You won't be able to rob anyone if everybody's dead." Barry told him frustratedly.
"That's a compelling argument. But if I'm gonna help you out... I'll need something in return." Leonard stated as he walked over to an empty table. Barry and Evelyn huddled around it. Leonard pulled out a piece of paper and had begun scribbling something down.
"Like what?" Barry asked suspiciously.
"This." Leonard slid the slip over to Barry.
Barry looked at the paper and his eyes widened. He chuckled in disbelief. "No." He told him sternly. "This is impossible. I can't do that." Evelyn tried to look at what he requested, but it was impossible to make it out with Barry's hand in the way.
"Then I can't help you."
"There has to.. Snart, there has to be something you want that I can get." Barry attempted to negotiate with him.
He pretended to ponder on it. "Let me think about." He gave him a smug smile before he walked off.
"I'll be right back. Let me talk to him." Evelyn told Barry who leaned on his palms on the table. He nodded slowly. She could see the defeat in his eyes.
Evelyn ran out the door to the parking lot. She found him faster than she expected. To be honest, she thought he would've left by now, but he stood beside his car. His hand rested on the open door on the driver side. His sight on Evelyn. He was obviously waiting for her to come out here because he knew she would follow him. He knew she wasn't the type to just give up.
"I gotta say, for a man who's morally righteous he sure had no problem turning to my girl to help manipulate me into helping his cause." Leonard told her. She hated how distant he sounded. She knew he was a bit mad.
"We weren't trying to manipulate you." Evelyn said in a hushed voice.
"What do you want from me, Evelyn?" He asked her, and she was surprised on how soft and gentle his voice was. She rarely ever heard this side of him. The side that for once wasn't teasing or guarded. He for once was vulnerable. "I'm not a hero."
"I'm not asking you to be a hero." She told him genuinely, and he searched her eyes for any hidden lies but there wasn't any. "That doesn't happen over night. But people's lives are on the line. They may have their share of sins but they're still human beings. I'm asking you to do what's right." Evelyn laced her hands with his. He looked down at their intertwined hands then back to her with calm blue eyes. She was so sure he was about to give in and do the right thing. Not just by her, but by the city.
Leonard pulled his hand out of her grasp. His once soft eyes back to its usual cold exterior. "Like I told your friend...I'll think about it."
Evelyn sucked in a sharp breath as Leonard got into his car and sped out of the parking lot.
