Somewhere deep in the forest of Pandora, the Omatikaya clan were on their way to raid, and destroy some of the sky people's supplies that were making their home unsafe.
Jake was leading the group of them on Banshee's up in the air, him holding a gun as a weapon as he whooped, and Ney'tiri flew up beside him yiping out to the other Na'vis right behind them.
The group of them flew through some of the smaller mountains, coming up to a man made railway that had a yellow painted train currently travelling on it. Two aerospatiale SA-2 samsons were flying right beside the train, on either side for protection, however that didn't stop the Na'vi from attacking.
"Ground team go!" Jake ordered through the comms link attached to his neck, pressing on it when he spoke as he casted his eyes on the enemy.
The ground group were on the move on their direhorse's, as suddenly some of the train tracks had exploded in front of the train, causing the train to slip and scrap against the metal, creating bright sparks.
The explosion made everything go off balance, as the aircrafts had flew off course, and the train ended up running off the now broken tracks, causing it to break apart and flip over, creating many more explosions as all the parts were now split.
Jake saw his chance to attack, and directed his Banshee to fly directly down to the sky people's equipment. He released a battle cry, and started shooting with his gun at one of aircrafts, making it catch on fire and fall to the ground.
Ney'tiri made a yip calling noise, and also directed her Banshee towards the last aircraft, getting her bow and arrow ready, and pulled it back to take aim.
She released a yell, letting the arrow loose and ended up killing the sky person inside the aircraft. Her Banshee flipped over the transport, and she aimed once more, releasing it so it hit the driver of the plane, yipping as the plane crashed against the ground.
The Na'vi on the direhorse's all cheered with loud yelps as they watched the scene, causing Ney'tiri to throw her arms up and cheer back with them.
Now, all the Na'vi that were there ended up on the ground, and started collecting the weapons inside the crates that were on the ground.
Jake was standing on a some debris from the explosion, as he places his hand on his comms to talk again, "Let's go! Two minutes people, let's go!"
Up above in the sky, just near the scene were two Banshee's hovering and looking at the raid.
On one of the Banshee's, was Neteyam with his riders mask on his head, and the other one held Lo'ak with (Y/N) right behind him, her hands resting on his waist.
The girl Na'vi was wearing a headpiece as well, with the material being a nice rich brown, with blue material intertwined between some of the brown. In the middle, held a very special blue crystal that she didn't know was for, but got told to wear it.
And because she didn't like being exposed, her entire bottom area was covered by a loincloth, a hole just for her tail and her top half was covered in a loose, flimsy (F/C) beautiful shawl that ended just above her hips, and tying it together an earthly necklace that covered her chest, as it had many small branches full of leaves, vines and beads that spread out over her chest.
"Bro! We've got to get down there!" Lo'ak called out to his brother, flying his Banshee a bit up to him as (Y/N) gave the male an incredulously look from behind.
"No way!" Neteyman straight away turned down the idea, as his eyes moved to the girl behind his brother, "We have (Y/N) with us, dad would skin us!"
Lo'ak rolled his eyes, turning his head a little to (Y/N), "Come on, she's got us to protect her," He smirked cocky and looked at a scowling Neteyam, "Don't be a wuss." And with that, he dived down making the girl behind him exclaim and latch onto him.
"Lo'ak! Get back here youβ!" Neteyam released a angry noise, shaking his head and immediately followed after them, mostly since (Y/N) was going down as well.
"Take it all!" Norm was ordering the Na'vi on the ground in his Avatar form, as they picked up some of the boxes and closed them up to take them, "Take mags, the RPG's, take it all." He started listing them on his fingers, also helping.
Lo'ak landed his Banshee quickly as it screeched, and he carefully helped (Y/N) down as she grunted from the jump. Right beside them, Neteyam landed his Banshee as well, "Guys let's go! Come on!" Lo'ak yelled to them both, as Neteyam grabbed (Y/N)'s arm to pull her back beside him, away from his idiot brother who was running into the raid.
"Lo'ak! Come on, we shouldn't be down here!" (Y/N) also yelled to him, groaning in annoyance as she and Neteyam followed after the male.
One of the Na'vis handed Lo'ak a gun, as he took it and grabbed some ammo, ignoring the shouts from his best friend and brother.
"You don't even know how to use it." Neteyam scolds him, as he shoves the gun in his brothers hand and (Y/N) comes up to stand beside them both with a frowning face, knowing they would get into trouble for this.
Lo'ak doesn't respond and clicks in the ammo to the gun, holding it up proudly to try and impress (Y/N), however she was not, "Dad taught me."
Still up on some of the debirs, Jake was scanning his eyes over his Na'vi people and his eyes narrowed, ears flatting a little seeing (Y/N) and his children down on the ground, with a gun. He went to move a little, going to talk into the comms but a yip warning from the Na'vi next to him took his attention.
He looked in the direction the Na'vi was, and saw some more sky peolpe's aircrafts coming, "Helicopter warship! Fall back!" He shouted his demand, warning as everyone did what was said. However, the aerospatiale SA-2 samson in the sky had fired two missiles and it landed where the raid was happening, causing explosions to go off.
"Oh, shit.." (Y/N) cursed seeing this, her ears flatting as she was quick to grab the boys hands, and run with them, trying to escape the explosions, "Quick! Lets go!"
Though before they could escape, an explosion went off behind the three and it caused them to be split apart in the crossfire with yells of each others names.
Jake saw this all happening, his heart picking up in pace as he quickly ran over to the children, "Kids! Where are you?! Kids!" His jumped over one of the trains carts on the ground, his eyes finding a shaking up Lo'ak on the ground, "Easy, easy.." His dad smoothed, calming him down as his eyes weren't focused on him, but frantically looking around the area.
The older male finally noticed who was missing from the little trio. "Where's (Y/N) and Neteyam?" He demanded strongly, seeing Lo'aks wide eyes, "Where are they?!"
"Over here!" A familiar voice shouted, making them turn to see Neteyam carrying an unconscious (Y/N) bridal style in his arms, her body injured and dusty from the hit received.
Lo'ak knew what happened, felt it in the explosion. The girl had pushed both brothers to safety, taking the force of the hit instead.Β
Jake and Lo'ak met the two in the middle, as the older male touched (Y/N)'s cheek, turning her face sideways and back to cheek for injures. Luckily it wasn't bad, but Jake was still furious, "What the hell are you two doing here? Why would you bring (Y/N) here as well?!"
"Sorry, sir.." Both boys mumbled sadly, their eyes on (Y/N) as they both felt responsible for what happened. The two knew they would get an ass whooping for putting her in danger, and they especially felt like horrible protectors for letting her get hurt, even when they swore to their parents they wouldn't let anything happen to her today.
Jake shakes his head with a frustrated sigh, and quickly motions for them to follow before anymore explosions went off.
...
OMATIKAYA BASE CAMP
Now, all the Na'vi war fighters that had went on the raid were flying back on their Banshees to their home in Pandora, the Hallelujah Mountains.
Neteyam was on his one, as he kept (Y/N) in his arms the entire way back. She was awake now, with her head rested on his chest, as his arm was around her back. He looked over briefly to Lo'ak, seeing a heavy frown on his face as he stared at her injured body. He knew what he was feeling, and he felt it too.
"I know what you two are thinking." Her croaky voice spoke up, catching them surprised as Lo'ak moved his banshee closer to Neteyam's to hear her. "It wasn't your fault, I did this on my own accord."
Neteyam went to protest, but her hand weakly squeezed his bicep and kept it there as she talked again, "Don't worry you two, its gonna take a lot more to take me out." She smiles brightly at them two, little dimples appearing making their hearts sore inside their chests.
The brothers share one more look between each other, eyebrows furrowed as (Y/N) went back to being quiet, leaning her weight against Neteyam's chest.
As the group had flown up into the mountain, the sound of a horn was heard as it was being blown for their arrival back from the raid.
The Sully family all landed their Banshee's on the mountain's' inside ground, as Ney'tiri hopped off her one and Tuk came running towards her, "Mom!"
"Tuk." Ney'tiri gently hugged her child to her body, placing a hand behind her head as Tuk wrapped her arms around her mothers legs.
Neteyam jumped off his Banshee, gently picking back up (Y/N) in his arms as she groaned, causing him to shush her softly. One of his arms went under her legs, and the other around her back, as Lo'ak was straight away by her side once he was off his Banshee.
"Boys!" Jake's strict voice made them turn to him, before they could talk to their injured best friend. "You're supposed to be spotters! You spot emeines from a distance!" Jake hissed at his children, as Ney'tiri saw (Y/N)'s injured body making her ears flatten worridley. "Does any of this sound familiar?!"
Kiri heard all the yelling, and gasped a little seeing her best friends body in her brothers arms. She jogged up to them, placing a hand on (Y/N)'s head as the girl opened her eyes up at little in greeting, despite the situation.
"Jesus, I let you two geniuses fly on a mission and you disobey direct orders!" Jake continues his angry rant, his eyes going to the girl in Neteyam's arms, "And you involve the one person I told you not to put into danger!"Β
The brothers ears flatten, their tails doing so also as they looked down sadly, already feeling completely in fault for her injuries.
"Kiri, can you go help your grandmother with the wounded, please." Jake tells the young girl near (Y/N), sighing heavily with annoyance.
The girl glares a little at her father, her hand still on her (Y/N)'s head, "My best friend is wounded." She states the obvious.
"It's okay, go on." The blue and green eyed girl smiled a little at Kiri, making her reluctantly go off with Tuk following close behind.
"Sir, I take full responsibility." Neteyam speaks up a little, making Lo'ak turn to him in surprise.
"Yeah that's right. You're the older brother, you should act like that." Jake scolds his oldest with a firm tone.
Ney'tiri decided to step in now, placing a hand on (Y/N)'s forehead to caress it, "Ma Jake, (Y/N) is bleeding."
The girl tried to protest, but ended up coughing a little with a groan, causing the brothers to gaze more worriedly down at her.
"Go. Make sure she gets patched up." Jake points a warning finger at the brothers, motioning to where their hut was.
Neteyam nods a little, carefully adjusting the girl against his chest in his arms, as he leant the side of his head against hers, while Ney'tiri gently guided them away.
Jake now faces the quiet Lo'ak, narrowing his eyes down on the upset boy, "You do understand you almost got (Y/N) killed."
Lo'ak looks up a little at this, ears flat against his head as his expression was solemn with deep regret, "Yes, sir."
Jake clenches his jaw, moving in his spot as he debates what to do. He knew they didn't mean it, because he knew how much they both cared about the girl. But, that didn't stop him from being mad about getting (Y/N) injured, "You're grounded. No flying for a month." He finally voices the punishment. "Now see to the ikrans, all of them."
Lo'ak just nods his head, "Yes, sir."
"And get the crap off your face." Jake orders him just before the male went, he sent him a warning glare making Lo'ak sigh heavily with his head thrown back.
...
Later that night, all the Omatikaya clan had gone inside their huts for the night, as the Sully family were in theirs, the parents outside.
(Y/N) was currently making hissing noises, as she sat down on the floor with the brothers on each side of her, their hands holding hers while Mo'at applied gel to her injuries.
"Aw, want a kiss on the boo boo?" Spider teased from a few feet beside them, causing the brothers to scowl at him in warning, and Spider laughed seeing it.
"I would use Yalnabark." Kiri voices her opinion to their grandmother, who was behind (Y/N) and fixing up her wounds.
"Oh, you would?" She answers back, barely glancing away from the girls back, as she noticed that most of her injures have healed already. Interesting.. she thought, but then look to her granddaughter, "Remind me, who is Tsaik here?"
"You are, grandma," Kiri tried shoving Lo'ak out of the way to get to (Y/N), but he just narrowed his eyes down at her, not moving. She sighed knowingly and sat next to him, "but Yalnabark is better."
(Y/N) made some more 'ow' noises, causing Neteyam to rub his thumb over her knuckles in comfort, as Mo'at continued placing treatment on her back.
"And it stings less." Kiri winced, feeling bad knowing the gel would be hurting (Y/N)'s skin.
The blue and green eyed went to reassure her, but yelped out in pain when Mo'at placed a big amount of gel, causing everyone to laugh at the girls incredulous expression.
Outside of the warm tent, Ney'tiri watched the scene with a small smile, but it faded when she remembered what recently happened today.
"What?" Jake questioned his wife, sensing something was wrong as she was quiet, and observing the children.
Ney'tiri didn't answer for a few seconds, her tail swishing behind her, "Neteyam and Lo'ak try to live up to you. It is very hard on them."
Jake kept his gaze on the gun he was cleaning, and fixing up, "I know."
The female narrowed her eyes a little, and went to kneel down in front of him, "You are very hard on them."
He slipped his guns holster back in place, it making a clicking sound as he finally stared at his mate, "I'm their father, its my job."
She tilted her head a little, gazing at the gun in his hand then back to his face, "This is not a squad, it is a family."
Jake pursed his lips at this, him pausing his movements as he thoughts back to what happened today. He exhaled shakily, "I thought we lost them." He admits in a soft tone.
Ney'tiris face drops a little, and her lips go into a straight line, understanding what he felt as she squeezes his arm in comfort.
...
Spider leads (Y/N), Lo'ak and Kiri through a section of the mountains that had the Avatars, and humans inside a shelter, as some of them greet the human teen as he passes them.
"Hey! Spider." Norm calls to him, a toothbrush in his mouth making his words muffled, as he wacks his shirt across Spider's legs.
He jumped at the hit, and pointed a finger at the tall Avatar, "Your ass is mine."
Norm throws his hands up in acknowledgement, "I'm right here."
"Avatars only, go around!" A scientist female scolds the teens, as (Y/N) smiles sheepishly while Kiri mimic's the females words, in a higher pitched voice.
...
Lo'ak opened the front door to the portable science lab that was placed in their home, as (Y/N) was the first to walk up the stairs.
"After you, m'lady." Lo'ak bowed his body a little, gesturing to the open door as (Y/N) snickered at this, patting his back in thanks.
His eyes followed her figure as she entered, a dreamy look on his face as Kiri and Spider gave him a teasing expression when they passed him, causing the Sully teen to grumble.
When they were inside, Spider opened another door that led them into the machines that brought back the humans from their Avatars.
"You know what really sucks though?" Spider was talking to them, as Lo'ak gives (Y/N) an oxygen mask for her to breath from and he gets one as well, "Is that you can breathe the air there for hours, and I can only breathe your air for like 10 seconds."
"Yeah monkey boy, that really sucks," Kiri starts off as she bends a little to tickle the teen, "for you." She giggles as he pushes her hands away, dodging the attack.
As Kiri turns to get a oxygen mask, Spider looks at her swaying tail and goes to tug on it, causing her to yelp and spin around to him. She goes to grab him, but Spider hisses like a Na'vi, making her do it back.
(Y/N) shakes her head at their act, and breaths from the mask as she notices a familiar face in the room next to them, "Oh, hey Max."
Max turns at her voice, smiling seeing the teenagers, "Hey kids." He waves at them, as they walk into the room, giving him and Norm a fist bump or hug.
...
Now the four of them were watching Kiri's real mother on the computer screen, the female talking about how Pandora was real and not some fantasy.
(Y/N) was standing right next to Kiri, one of her arms around the girls shoulders as they watched. The adopted Sully child had a small smile on her face as she saw her mother, leaning into her best friends hold.
"So," Lo'ak spoke up to the three, making (Y/N) look at him and move to stand in front of him, "Who do you think knocked her up?" He generally questioned, as he looked at Spider with a teasing smirk, "Pretty sure it was Norm."
(Y/N) hissed a little at that, smacking her hand against Lo'aks chest as she throws him a look. He just grins like an idiot, and pulls her by the waist to stand beside him.
"Totally." Spider agrees through a laugh, causing Kiri to look appalled and huff.
"You do not deserve to live." She scolds them unimpressed by their behaviour, as (Y/N) mentally agreed as she scowls at Lo'ak.
"I mean think about it, alright," Lo'ak tries to explain his so called idea, his spare hand that wasn't holding (Y/N) against his chest was outstretched in front, "He's the teachers pet, and he's out in the lab with her all the time."
Kiri glares at the boys, and rolls her eyes with disgust, "I would kill myself. I would drink acid."
"Bro you're right," Spider points to the video where Grace and Norm was seen on the screen now, "He's like in every shot. Look, he's giving her looks." He laughs as he hides his face in his arm, but his laughed stopped when Kiri gave him a disappointed stare.
"See, I'm thinking that their two Avatars went out in the woods," Lo'ak places a hand on his chest dramatically, "all alone."
(Y/N) shot him a narrowed look at this, pulling on his loose hair at his words, which caused him to laugh and wrap both arms around her, swaying them from side to side a little.
"Guys, sometimes it's not so great to know who your father is." Spider broke the happy aura around them, causing frowns to appear on their faces knowing what he was hinting at.
The three behind him shared a look, and Kiri walked forward a little, placing a hand on his back for comfort, "Spider, you are not him." She stated firmly, but gently.
(Y/N) understood the not knowing who someone's parents were, as she as well had no clue who gave birth to her. The only thing she could remember was getting raised by Jake and Ney'tiri, but apart from that, it was all just a blur.
She wasn't complaining though, because she had everything she ever needed on Pandora, with much more she would never expect coming.
