There are very few fanfictions/stories that don't include author's notes beforehand. It's more important than you think! It gives your readers a first impression of you and lets them know what your personal ideas and boundaries are.

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓'𝐒 𝐌𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐓𝐎 𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍:
• if your fanfic includes smut or not.
• trigger warnings.
• whether or not you're experienced with the language you're writing in.
• if the title of your fanfic contains 'unique' words, add the meaning of those.
• the description of your fanfic.

𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐃𝐄𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐋𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍:
• your name/age.
• encouraging people to comment/vote (nicely).
• the cast.
