πππππππππ: Finding background images for your cover.
ππππππ: Adding text to your cover.
πππππ: If you want to make your own cover entirely, without using a background from Pinterest, Canva is the best app to do that with.
πππππππ: Same thing as Canva, and you can add very nice filters with Picsart.
ππππππ: Also to add filters; mostly glow, crooked pages, etc.

1. Find a nice background image on Pinterest, using terms like '(Wattpad) cover background'.
(Try to ask the creator of the image permission to use their picture. However, as long as it's not specifically mentioned, it's not crazy to just use the picture as long as you don't claim it as your own. But if you're planning on publishing your book in *real life*, then you must really make sure you have permission.)
2. Set the format of the image to 512 x 800 px, using Picsart/Canva.
3. Add your title, username, and anything else you want to add through Phonto. It's difficult to explain how it works, just figure it out a bit. Add shadows, curves, and blends- see what looks good. Keep in mind that you will still add filters, so it's not the finished product.
4. Use Picsart, Canva, or CapCut (or other edit apps) to add filters. Filters will make your text blend in more with your pictures. Some apps also have a 'folds' effect that will make your cover look like paper, sort of. I used that effect on the cover of this book.
