━︎━︎━︎━︎𝐋𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐘𝐀 𝐏𝐄𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐕𝐀 𝐁𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐋𝐘 sat in the chair, a huff falling from her lips as she scanned the dull room that they had placed her in. She had to admit that she missed her cell. Her hands were placed in cuffs that were attached to the table in front of her, a glass window that you could only see through and not out of sat on the wall in front of her. Now she was patently waiting for her interrogator to enter that room.

When Steve Rogers entered the room, she remembered why she was there. Her mission was to kill him. She narrowed her eyes at him, cocking her head slightly as she watched the man. Steve closed the door behind him, coming to a stop as he looked at Liliya. He paused, staring at the blonde for a moment and noticing how truly beautiful she looked. He looked down the floor, feeling shameful for the thought and trying to keep it in his mind that this woman had tried to kill him, and if Eloise hadn't showed up she might have succeeded.

"Well, well, well." Liliya was the one to speak first, a smirk on her lips as she watched the man. "If it isn't the famous Captain America. Or, should I say, Steven Grant Rogers. You know, when they told me that you were single, I was confused. How could a handsome face like yours not be in a relationship? And then I thought, hey, I'm in this room with him, maybe this is my chance to shoot my shot. So, what d'ya say, Steven?" She smirked even wider when she watched an unsure look flicker through his eyes.

Steve straightened, deciding to ignore the assassins words as he sat down in front of her, placing her file on the table. Liliya raised an eyebrow, watching as he opened the very thin, small file, reading a few words before closing it again and looking back at Liliya. "You know, we've tried everything, and yet your name only seems to appear once and that was when you were five. So, tell me, Liliya Petrova, where have you been the past few decades?" She didn't answer and he nodded his head. "That's alright. I'm sure Romanoff will be able to find something on you eventually."

"That's right." Liliya nodded her head. "Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow. I forgot that you had managed to warp a Red Room assassin and bring her into your ranks. Well, she may be an Avenger, but she wasn't always." Liliya leaned forwards and looked at the man. "Wanna hear a little secret, Rogers? I know that your little widow hasn't always been the good guy. I know what she's done." She smiled before saying in a singsong voice,  "I know her secret, her dirty little secret. I know things that she doesn't want anyone to know."

Steve narrowed his eyes at the assassin. "This isn't about Natasha."

Liliya laughed, leaning back in her seat and watching him with amusement on her face. "Isn't it though? It's about Natasha, it's about Bruce Banner, Tony Stark, Thor Odinson, Nick Fury, Maria Hill, Phoenix Aphrodite. . . I can keep going if you'd really like me to. Now, admittedly, I was only supposed to read the file on the original six. But, what can I say? I'm a curious cat. I dug deeper and deeper, found all that I could. In the matter of six hours I knew everything that I needed to know."

"So it's true, isn't it?" Steve asked. Liliya didn't budge. "I didn't want to believe it at first, but by the way you talk, I know that you weren't hired necessarily. This was a mission from an organization that you work for. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but does the Murder House sound familiar to you whatsoever?" Steve watched the woman tense, and though he felt bad for getting to her like that, he would do what he had to do in order to find that part of her that he saw on the roof. That part of her that didn't want to kill her.

Liliya swallowed thickly, clenching her jaw as she forced herself to keep any emotion from her voice. Calmly she asked, "How do you know about the Murder House?"

"We have a Red Room assassin, remember?" Steve used her own words. "You may know things, Liliya, but I know some things too."

"And what exactly do you know, Steve Rogers?"

Steve leaned forwards, placing his arms on the table as he watched Liliya. He looked at her, almost like he was trying to tell her a secret. She found herself glancing towards the security camera in the corner of the room before looking back towards Steve, placing her arms on the table as she leaned forwards, narrowing her eyes at the man and almost flinching at his next words. "I know that you don't want to kill me."

Immediately she sat back, an alarm going off in her head. "Why would you think such an awful thing? Why would I not want to kill you? You seem very killable."

"You don't want to let them down." Steve told her. "Because if you let them down then something bad will happen to you. Am I getting warmer?" Liliya swallowed thickly. "I can see it in your eyes, although you're trying desperately to hide it. You don't want to complete this mission."

"You don't know what you're talking about." Liliya hissed.

"It's okay." Steve assured her, nodding his head. "I can help you."

"I don't want your help." Liliya snapped. "Even if I did. . . I'm not a good person. I can't come back from the things that I've done. I was crafted to be evil, and so evil I'll always be."

He was getting somewhere. "You are good, Liliya. Let me help you prove that."

Liliya looked at him for a moment before a smirk pulled at her features. "You didn't really think it was going to be that easy, did you?" She chuckled and straightened in her seat, watching Steve do the same. "You want to turn me good, Rogers? You're going to have to do a lot better than that." She watched as he stared at her, their eyes meeting before he finally stood up, taking the file with him as he walked out the door, leaving Liliya to herself.
