GRACE HAD BEEN TALKING TO HERSELF THE WHOLE WAY TO THE COFFEE SHOP. She was making sure that she actually got there but was also trying to convince herself that murder was not the option. Not that it wouldn't be satisfying, which it would be. Grace couldn't allow herself to be like him. She had only killed Dylan because he was a threat to Hayley and she was not going to let him hurt her.

Honestly, she knew that she could stand her ground now. She was just worried that he would take his anger out on someone else and not her. She could handle her father now but she didn't want him to go for Hanna instead. Grace just needed to force him to leave New Orleans and if he didn't, she would give him three chances. After that... Who knows.

She walks into the coffee shop, seeing that her father was already sitting by the counter, waiting for her. Grace clenches her jaw, taking a deep breath. She rubs her hands on her pants before she walks over to the man. Grace places her bag on the stool beside her before turning her head, meeting her father's eyes.

"I was surprised to get your call. It didn't seem like you were happy to see me." Robert admits as he smirks over at her and she could see that he obviously was taking the piss out of her. Grace just scoffs as she moves her eyes to her hands for a moment.

"That would be an understatement." She mutters as she clenches her jaw before she takes a deep breath and turns to look at Robert. "I heard that you saw mom." Grace states as honestly, she wanted to know what they talked about. Especially when Ann wanted to be back in her life and claims to 'love her'.

"She and I see each other from time to time." Robert admits as he rests his arm on the counter and Grace just squints her eyes at him.

"Even though she's remarried?"

"Paul is merely a pawn, she doesn't actually care about him." Robert says with a scoff as he rolls his eyes, obviously not a big fan of the new guy.

"So, what? You two are still together?" Grace asks as she bites her tongue. She could already tell by the expression that he had on his face.

"In some ways." Robert states with a smirk forming on his lips. Grace grimaces as she knew what he meant and didn't even want to ask. She was just angry at the fact that Paul seemed genuinely in love with Ann and she was only using him.

"You don't even care that you're tearing a new family apart?" Grace asks him but who was she kidding, he obviously has never cared about anyone within his entire life.

"They're not a real family." He answers her and Grace just rolls her eyes. "Neither is that sister of yours... Hayley, is it?" Robert asks and Grace clenches her fist. She knew he had to have been hanging around longer than she knew or her mother was just a complete bitch who told him everything.

"She's more my family than you have ever been."ย  Grace tells him in a harsh tone and Robert just squints at her, tsking his tongue.

"Now, that's no way to speak to your father."

"You're not my father." Grace states and he only raises an eyebrow at her.ย  "At least you never allowed me to call you that." She points out as he couldnt say that word when he never acted like one.

"Maybe I've changed."

"Impossible." Grace snaps at him and he only smirks at her. "Why are you here?" She asks with a sigh as he could've showed up in New York but he didn't. There had to have been a reason.

"Can't I come see my daughter?" Robert asks curiously as he leans against the table. Grace only scoffs as she crosses her arms against her chest.

"You've never cared about me." Grace replies as she glares at her excuse of a father.

"It hurt me when you left that day and never came back." Robert says but she could see that he was having fun with this. She knew he didn't care about her, he only cared that he didn't have his punching bag anymore.

"Sorry, I didn't want to indure the abuse you gave me every single day." Grace retorts with a roll of her eyes. Robert only glances around the place before looking back at her.

"You want to know the truth?" Robert asks as he looks down at her and she just clenches her jaw. "Everything I said, everything I did. You deserved it." He states with a sly smirk on his lips. Grace just shakes her head, looking at him with a disgusted expression.

"I was a child." Grace states as she tries to keep her composure. She was not about to show him anymore fear.

"You were an annoying brat." Robert snaps with a scoff as he rolls his eyes. Grace only sits up on her seat.

"Well, now I'm all grown up. And I'm not going to allow you to hurt anyone else." She tells him as his first mistake was going anywhere near Hanna. She would not allow the girl to go through what she did.

"And what exactly will you do, little girl?" Robert asks her as he raises an eyebrow at her, leaning closer to her. Grace only bites her tongue, taking the knife out of her pocket and holding it against his upper thigh. Robert glanced down, watching her carefully.

"I promise you, I'm not so little anymore." Grace states harshly as she glares at him. Robert meets her eyes again, squinting them. "You leave me and my friends alone, or there will be consequences." She threatens as she presses the knife against him. Robert doesn't seem phased as he just chuckles.

"That's funny. You should be grateful I let you live." Robert replied as he stared at the woman. Grace scoffs as she shakes her head.

"Grateful? I would've rather died." She snaps at him as she feels her hand clench around the knife. "But you know what? Im not gonna stoop to your level. At least not yet." Grace states as she removed the knife and placed it back in her bag. Robert just stared at her, a little bit confused. "Because you hate that I found another family, that I found friends. That I found happiness." She says with a laugh as she leans back, placing her hands in her lap. Robert just glares at her.

"You'll never know happiness, girl. None of them will stick around." Robert sneers at her but Grace just lets a sigh leave her lips as she gets up from the seat.

"I guess we'll see whose right." Grace says with a smirk on her face as she puts her hand on her father's shoulder, patting it lightly. "Have a good day." She tells him sweetly and the man only clenches his jaw as he watches her walk out of the coffee shop.

KLAUS AND HANNA WERE SAT IN THE COURTYARD, Hanna was eating some of the food that was left on the table while Klaus was reading a book. Neither of them had talked since Grace had left to talk with her father. Mainly because Klaus just didn't care enough to make conversation. Hanna lets out a sigh though as she turns to the man, squinting her eyes. "Are you friends with Grace?" She asks him as she crosses her legs. Klaus looks up, his eyes drifting around the room before landing on Hanna, realizing she was talking to him.

"Uh.. yeah, I am." He answers before going back to his reading. But talking back to her was his first mistake as now, she would just keeping pressing him for more.

"For how long?" Hanna questions as she leans back on the chair she was sitting in. Klaus sighs as he tries to fight the urge to roll his eyes.

"A few months." Klaus says as he bites his tongue. Hanna squints her eyes, smirking a little bit as she reaches over to grab a strawberry.

"Hm." She hums to herself as she puts the berry into her mouth. Klaus heard her and lifts his head once again to glance over at her.

"What?" He asks as he furrows his eyebrows, looking over at the girl who only smirks to herself, letting her head drop.

"Nothing." She mumbles as she shakes her head, staring at her fingers. Klaus just rolls his eyes as he closes his book.

"What?" Klaus asked a little bit more harshly as he was already annoyed with her. Hanna shrugs her shoulders as she fiddles with her hand.

"It's just, you seemed worried for her when she went to see her dad." Hanna points out as she rests her chin in the palm of her hand.

"Friends get worried." Klaus says as he closes his eyes for a moment, hoping that when he opened them, the girl would just disappear.

"And they also check them out?" Hanna questions with a smirk playing on her lips making Klaus snap his eyes open. "Have you two had sex?" She asks with a gasp, and Klaus was just frozen for a moment, his mouth open. He didn't know whether to say something to her or just avoid any more talking with her. Why she even asked that or had an inkling about it was what made Klaus confused.

"Okay, you are a child and I am not speaking to you anymore."ย  Klaus tells her as he shakes his head, opening his book again.

"I'm fifteen, not a child." Hanna complains and Klaus just gives her a blunt stare before pointing his finger at her.

"Child." He states and Hanna groans, crossing her arms against her chest.

"You're just avoiding the question." She points out as they were really obvious about it, it wasn't like she was asking something that wasn't true.

"And you don't know about boundaries." Klaus says with a sigh as he rubs his forehead. Hanna only turns more in her seat to face him.

"Oh, come on. It's not hard to put together." She admits as she giggles to herself. She could see how Klaus was trying to avoid all eye contact with her. "You definitely like her." Hanna teases him and Klaus just sighs as he stands up from his seat, dropping the book on the chair.

"Your brain isn't even done developing, you don't know anything." Klaus retorts and Hanna only raises an eyebrow, laughing.

"Wow, deflecting is a definite yes." She points out and he just groans as he tilts his head back.

"Stop it."

"Klaus and Grace sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i--"

"Love, you're back." Klaus says loudly, cutting off Hanna who was only smirking cheekily. She glanced over, seeing Grace was walking back into the compound. "Thank god." He mumbles, half that he didn't have to talk to Hanna anymore and that Grace didnt appear injured in any way. "How did it go?" He asks as she stops in front of them.

"It went fine, Klaus." She assures him with a gentle smile. "Everything's okay." Grace admits as she places her hands on her hips.

"So, he got the message?" Hanna asks her as she raises an eyebrow at the blonde.

"Not sure about that but it felt good to threaten him." Grace states as she shrugs her shoulders and Klaus chuckles lightly. She looks over at Hanna, raising her eyebrows. "What were you two talking about?" She asks curiously as she saw that they were having a conversation before she walked in.

"How annoying she is." Klaus answers quickly, not allowing Hanna to get the first word in. The young girl only turns to him, clenching her jaw as she scoffs.

"You're one to talk." She snaps back as she crosses her arms against her chest. Grace just looks between them, pressing her lips together tightly.

"Great. Seems like you two really hit it off."

GRACE WAS AT ROUSSEAU'S, finishing off her drink as she places the glass on the counter. She had come to the bar to talk to Camille but the girl hadn't been working and wasn't answering her text. Grace was already there, might as well get a drink. She lets out a sigh as she stands up, putting her bag on her shoulder. Grace starts to head to the door when she hears someone call her name. She furrows her eyebrows as she looks over to see a young woman looking at her. "It is, Grace, isn't it?" She asks and Grace just glanced around before her eyes land on the woman and the man sitting next to her.

"How do you know my name?" Grace asks her as she got into a protective stance, not knowing who or what this woman was.

"My name's Cassie, I know quite a bit about you." She introduced herself and Grace immediately laughs as she raises her eyebrows. She remembered back to when the Mikaelsons told her their mother was possessing the fourth harvest girls body.

"If you know a lot about me, then you realize that I know you're not Cassie." Grace points out as she tilts her head and Esther only smirks a little bit.

"I assume Niklaus told you?" Esther asks and grace nods her head, crossing her arms against her chest.

"Well, given that his psycho mother is back from the dead, it was a good piece of information to give me." Grace states with a tight smile on her lips. Esther squints her eyes as she didn't look too impressed.

"I get why my son is so intrigued by your.. charm." Esther says as she bites the inside of her cheek. Grace only smirks back at her, resting her arm against the counter.

"Oh, I can be very charming." Grace respond and Esther just lets out a slight humourless laugh before sitting up straight.

"I'm here to offer you a deal."

"A deal? You'd think I'd make a deal with the devil?" Grace asks with a scoff as she raises an eyebrow at the woman. It was weird knowing that she was a thousand year old woman in a teenagers body.

"Leave New Orleans. Go back to New York or I'll have to take you out of the equation." Esther tells her and Grace only raises her eyebrows, a little bit amused.

"Am I a threat to you?"

"Merely collateral damage." Esther corrects and Grace only squints her eyes. "You see, my son has taking a liking towards you. I'd hate to take that away from him." She states with a smile on her face and Grace only scoffs. She takes the drink that Esther had in front of her, smashing the glass on the counter and holding the broken piece to the woman's neck. The man next to her jumps out of his seat.

"Listen here, witch bitch. If you think threatening to kill me will make me leave town, then you clearly don't know me as well as you think you do." Grace states in a hostile voice as she puts pressure on Esther's neck, the woman glaring at her. "I've survived a whole lot worse." She admits and the man who had been sitting next to her was giving her a warning look.

"I suggest you let her go." He states firmly and Grace just glanced over at him. She smirks as she raises an eyebrow at him.

"I'm trembling." Grace responds before she rolls her eyes and removes the piece of glass, dropping it onto the counter. She gives one last glare to Esther before walking out of the bar. She takes a deep breath as she shakes her head. Of course this had to happen, why couldn't she just have one normal day.

"Darling." A voice says from behind her making the woman turn only to see Kaleb standing behind her.

"Kaleb, hi?" Grace says with a confused expression. Kaleb gives her a small smile as he clasps his hands behind his back.

"I saw how you handled yourself in there, they weren't giving you any problems were they?" He asks as he raises an eyebrow at her and she just looks slightly confused.

"And why would you care?" Grace questions as she just stared back at him.

"Are we not friends?" Kaleb asks her and Grace just immediately shakes her head making the man's demeanour fall.

"We hooked up one time, I hardly classify that as us being friends." Grace points out as she brushes her hair out of her face. Kaleb nods his head slowly before taking a step closer to her.

"Well, we can be friends." Kaleb tells her with a smirk on his lips and Grace just puts her hand on his chest before pushing him away.

"Davina is my friend, not you." She replied and Kaleb's eyes instantly brighten at the sound of the young witch's name.

"Has she talked about me?" He asks and Grace rolls her eyes, letting out a sigh.

"Just a little bit. I was hoping it wasn't the same Kaleb." She admits as she would much rather not have Davina date this man. From their limited interaction, she already felt something off about him.

"Oh, come on, darling. You can admit you can't resist my good lucks and superior charm." Kol flirts with a wink and Grace just stared at him for a moment, making an effort to excessively give him a once over before shaking her head.

"I blame the liquor because you are not that good looking." Grace says with a smile as she tilts her head before looking away from the man.

"Now, you don't have to lie." Kaleb replies to her with a smirk playing on his lips. Grace sighs as she crosses her arms against her chest.

"Do you need something?" Grace asks as she raises an eyebrow, wondering why he had even followed her outside anyways.

"Just came to check up on you." He admits as he puts his hands into his pockets. She nods her head.

"All right, then." She states as she goes to walk past but he moves to block her path. Grace just clenches her jaw as she looks up at the man.

"And get your number." Kaleb states and she just squints her gaze at him. "You know, just in case something happens with Davina." He says as he shrugs and Grace furrows her eyebrows got a moment before sighing.

"You know she's a witch." Grace says and he nods his head, taking a step towards her.

"I know more than you think, darling." Kaleb tells her with a smirk and she only rolls her eyes. She takes his phone from his hand, putting her number into the contact before handing it back to him.

"If you text me anything that doesn't regard Davina, I will block you." Grace states as she points her finger at him. Kaleb raises his hands in defence, smirking back at her. She only sighs before moving past him and heading back to the compound.

WALKING INTO THE DINING ROOM WHERE KLAUS WAS STANDING, Grace crosses her arms against her chest. She bites the inside of her cheek as she stops next to the man who was looking at a book in his hand. "Your mother just tried to threaten me into leaving town." Grace tells him, catching his attention. Klaus looks over at her, anger and concern in his eyes.

"What?" Klaus asks, furrowing his eyebrows as his mother had never even met Grace. Why would she even care to threaten her?

"Yeah, she said she'd remove me if I didn't leave on my own accord." She states with a sigh, she knew the woman was a powerful witch but let's see how powerful she was with a bullet in her head.

"Why?"

"I don't know."

"Did she lay a hand on you?" Klaus asks as he moves over to her, putting his hand on her arm and letting his eyes roam over her for injuries. Grace only grabs his hand as she shakes her head.

"No, I actually held a broken piece of glass to her neck." Grace tells him which makes him look at her with an amused expression.

"You just keep getting more intriguing, love."ย  He tells her and she only smiles, shaking her head.

"Whatever." She replied as she pulls her hand away from him. Klaus glanced down at her hand before clearing his throat. "Where's Hanna?" Grace asks as she looks around the room.

"I sent her out to shop."

"Is that because you didnt want to talk to her?"

"She's a child and she acts like she knows everything about me. It's irritating." Klaus says as he shrugs his shoulders. Grace laughs as she rolls her eyes playfully.

"Shes just trying to make conversation." Grace states as she leans against the wall but Klaus only grumbles as he shakes his head.

"More like get on my nerves." Klaus retorts and Grace just gives him a blunt stare.

"Nik, be nice."

"Are you going to come to this dinner?" Klaus questions as he decided to change the subject.

"Why would I torture myself with that?" Grace asks as she raises an eyebrow at him.

"Because I don't want to do it alone." He states as he shrugs, he honestly knew she'd be better company than anyone else otherwise he might stab a fork into his eyes.

"You won't be alone." She tells him as she steps towards him and he smiles lightly as she places her hand on his arm. Grace tilts her head as she smiled back at him. "You'll have Elijah." Grace states and Klaus' smile falls as he lets out a sigh.

"How splendid." Klaus says with a roll of his eyes as he notices one of the servants coming into the room. "Make sure to bring extra bottles to the table, tonight. And skip the salad course. Let's not make this dreadful evening any longer than it needs to be." He states with a sigh, crossing his arms against his chest. The man nods and leaves and Grace only smiles as she shakes her head.

"I guess letting Oliver live paid off. He just informed me that your mother has a partner in crime. Another witch." Hayley tells them as she walks into the room, catching their attention.

"Building alliances in her quest to destroy us, I imagine." Klaus states, as he rolls his eyes.

"Right, there was a guy creepily staring at me the whole time." Grace points out and Klaus just looks towards her with furrowed eyebrows.

"Why does she hate you so much, Klaus? She had six kids, it's not like she doesn't have the maternal gene." Hayley points out with a sigh as she crosses her arms against her chest.

"Seven, actually." Klaus corrects her and Grace's eyes widen. She honestly couldn't imagine have two kids let alone seven. "And I think that at one time, she loved us very much. One died before I was born." He states and Grace instantly felt bad, it was hard to lose someone close to you.

"I didn't know that."

"Years later, my brother Henrik was killed by the werewolves in our village. The loss of another child pushed my mother over the edge." Klaus says as he looks down at the ground for a moment. "So, she used her magic to turn us into immortals. I think that's when she loved us the most. But it was her undoing. It led to a sequence of events that led to the reveal of her long held secret. My birth father was the werewolf who's pack killed my little brother." He explains to them and Hayley and Grace share a glance, the Mikaelsons history was more complicated than they realized. "Of course when Mikael found out, he murdered my real father, and so my mother lost her lover too." He finishes and Hayleys raises her eyebrows.

"Wow. No wonder she's crazy. I'm out of my mind having just given away hope, I can't imagine if she'd actually died." Hayley states.

"You know, my siblings used to tell each other she didn't hate us. She hated herself for what we'd become. I think they believed that even after she tried to kill us all." Klaus explains to them and Grace sighs, looking down at the ground.

"What did you believe?" Hayley asks as she looks at the man. Klaus sighs as he shrugs his shoulders.

"I don't know. I just knew I wanted her dead." He admits as he lets out a sigh. Grace frowns as she realized that they had a lot more in common than she realized. Well, at least her mother wasn't trying to kill her, although she wouldn't be surprised.

"Well, every good story needs a wicked witch. It'll be all the more satisfying when we melt her." Hayley points out as she raises an eyebrow at the hybrid. Grace nods her head slowly as she looks at Klaus.

"That's from the wizard of oz-" Grace starts to explains to him and he rolls his eyes immediately.

"I'm old, not stupid." Klaus tells her and she just looks over at him seeing him squint his eyes at her.

"Well, a lot of my jokes slide over your head so, fifty fifty." Grace retorts as she weighs her hands up and down. Klaus just glares at her while Hayley laughs, seeing the unimpressed look on Klaus' face.

GRACE LETS OUT A SIGH AS SHE LAYS IN THE BUBBLE BATH. She knew that it would only be a matter of hours or even minutes before another problem arose. She just hoped her father wasnt dumb enough to keep showing up because if it's with Hayley or Klaus, he would be dead in an instant.
"

Love, my mother is set to arrive soon. Now will be a good time to leave before it's too late and you're stuck having this horrid dinner too." Klaus' voice rings through her ears making her eyes open. She glanced to the side, seeing the man walk into the bathroom. Grace sighs as she sits up a little bit.

"Knock knock. Oh! Can I come in, Grace? Oh, yeah you can." Klaus only raises his eyebrows as he could see the unimpressed expression on her face. "It's not hard." Grace states as she looks at the hybrid. Klaus only glances around the room for a moment.

"This is my house." He points out and she just lets out a small scoff.

"Doesn't give you a right to walk in on someone in the bath." Grace adds and he just gives a slight smirk.

"Only the beautiful ones." Grace just bluntly stares back at him before sighing and running her hand through the water.

"I'll be out of here, I don't want to stick around."

"You're not actually thinking about leaving New Orleans, are you?"

"I still haven't decided. But it's getting close to the day where Jenna will come and drag me back." Grace explains to him as she knew the girl was being serious. Klaus clenches his jaw as he crosses his arms against his chest.

"She can try."

"I'll just think about it, tonight."

"Well, I hope you stay."

"So that you can keep walking in on me while I'm naked?" Grace asks as she raises an eyebrow at him.

"I don't need to do anything if I want to see you naked, love." Klaus retorts with a smirk as he looks down at her. Grace squints her eyes, sitting up a little bit.

"Who is the one that initiated it the moment I was back in town?"

"You were giving me signals."

"Are the signals in the room with us?" Grace asks in a whisper and Klaus only rolls his eyes.

"So, I like kissing you. That's not a crime." Klaus admits as he shrugs his shoulders. Grace snorts as she runs her hands across the bubbles.

"I hardly think you need me to get laid."ย  Grace points out as he wasn't a bad looking guy, sure he had some anger problems, but that was like 99% of guys.

"Oh, I don't. You're just marvelous, love." Klaus states and Grace laughs a little bit, nodding her head.

"You're okay, I guess." She teases him and Klaus smirks lightly, shaking his head. Grace just looks at him for another second before standing up, the water dripping down her body. Klaus raises an eyebrow, watching her step into the bath mat. "You wouldn't mind handing me a towel, would you?" Grace asks him as she stands in front of him. Klaus keeps his eyes on hers.

"You're dripping all over the floor."ย  He states and she only smirks, tilting her head. Klaus leans over to the bar, grabbing the towel and handing it to her. Grace wraps it around her body slowly. She takes another step towards him and Klaus allows his eyes to wander over her.

"Grace?" Hanna's voice comes through the bedroom and Grace's eyes widen as she steps away from Klaus just as she enters the bathroom. She stops in her step, looking between them.

"Uh, hey, Hanna." Grace says she brushes her hair behind her ear. Hanna only pokes her tongue to the inside of her mouth, looking at them curiously.

"Do I even want to ask?" She questions as she saw grace holding the towel to her body tightly.

"Wha- no, this? This is um.. we were just.. you know, talking?" Grace explains poorly as she fiddles with her fingers. Hanna only presses her lips together to hide her smile.

"Talking. While you're naked in a towel." Hanna states as she gestures to Grace. Grace nervously laughs as she nods her head.

"It was an urgent matter."

"I'd say." Hanna replies as she raises an eyebrow at them. "Should I give you some privacy?" She asks and Grace stutters for a moment, not knowing what to say.

"We don't need priv- Klaus was just leaving, weren't you?" Grace says as she turns to the man who stared at her for a moment. He looks between them, rubbing his hand on the back of his neck.

"Yep. Yeah, I was." Klaus replies as he nods his head but Hanna snorts as she smirks to herself.

"Mhm." She only places a hand on her hip as she looks at them. "I'll play along and act like you two weren't about to do it in the bathroom." Hanna states before turning, laughing to herself as she exits the bathroom. Grace had her jaw dropped, looking at Klaus and punching his arm.

"Nik!" She scolds as the man brings his hand to where she hit him.

"I told you she was annoying!" Klaus retorts as he shrugs his shoulders. Grace rolls her eyes as she lets out a sigh.

"What did you say to her?"

"Me? Why do you think I said anything to her?"

"Because you're you."

"I would not talk about my sex life with a child." Klaus states firmly as he grimaces a little bit and Grace just crossed her arms against her chest. "She just knew, somehow."ย  He states and Grace raises an eyebrow.

"Did you deny it?" She asks curiously and Klaus squints his eyes, staying silent for a moment.

"Kind of."

"What does kind of mean?" Grace asks with a sigh as she brings her hand up to rub her face.

"She's like a leech, she doesn't stop asking questions! And then you walked in and it was like a saving grace." Klaus states, chuckling a little bit but Grace just bluntly stares back at him. "Get it?" He asks and she just shakes her head, unamused making him clear his throat and look down at the ground.

"Now I have to go convince her that she's delusional." Grace states with a groan as she knew Hanna wasn't going to let it go easily.

"Well, I mean.. you were coming onto me." Klaus says with a smirk forming on his face and she only places her finger against his chest.

"I will drown you." Grace threatens as she glares at the man. Klaus only presses his lips together, amusement in his eyes. She just looks him up and down before moving out of the bathroom.
