GRACE WAS DEAD ASLEEP WHEN HER PHONE STARTED RINGING BESIDE HER. Part of her just wanted to ignore it and continue sleeping but another part of her knew it might be something important for work. Letting out a yawn, she reaches her hand out aimlessly to try and grab her phone. Finally getting it, she presses the button, bringing it to her ear. "Hello?" She asks confused as she didn't even check who was calling her.
"Are you coming back to New York?" Jenna's voice rings through the phone and Grace rubs her face as she wasn't even sure her brain was on to answer that question.
"It's five am." Grace groans out as she sinks her head back into her pillow. Jenna is silent for a moment.
"It's been days, Grace." She states, her voice harsh but it was only because it was so early. Grace runs a hand through her hair as she closes her eyes for a moment.
"I don't know..." Grace says, trailing off as she didn't know how Jenna would react. It would definitely not be happy, that was for sure.
"What do you mean, you don't know?" Jenna asks with a slight scoff, she didn't mean to seem pushy or rude, she just thought she meant more to Grace that she'd actually be kept in the loop.
"I mean, I need a few more days to figure everything out." Grace admits as a sigh leaves her lips. It wasn't like she wanted to leave Jenna, she just needed to do what was in her own best interests. And that may be moving away from her best friend but it was what she had to do.
"What is there to figure out?" She questions, her voice a little hostile and Grace just closes her eyes.
"I just..." She starts, taking a deep breath and she really just didn't want to think about it right now. Grace just wanted some peace and quiet since it was still quite early. "Please, Jen. I promise to call you when I decide." Grace assures her as she wouldn't just leave Jenna guessing, she just hasn't really made a decision yet.
"Decide what? I don't understand what you're talking about." Jenna says as she didn't think there was anything to actually decide. She never thought that Grace would think about staying in New Orleans.
"I'll explain everything, just give me a few more days." Grace pleads as she bites her bottom lip. The other end of the line goes silent but she could hear the huff, and it was definitely one of anger.
"Fine." And with that, Jenna just hangs up the phone. Grace sighs as she places her phone on her bed, bringing her hand up to rub her face. It wasn't like she meant for any of this to happen but it was almost like a blessing in disguise because she didn't realize how unhappy she was until she came back to New Orleans.
Grace gets up from her bed as she was definitely not falling back asleep now. Walking over to the bathroom, she turns on the light, looking into the mirror. She sees the tears that were in her eyes and she honestly didn't even realize they had formed. She just stared at her reflection, blinking a few times as she forces a smile onto her face. It falters a few times as she brushes the hair out of her face.
"Grace?" She hears her name being called and she quickly wipes the one tear that had fallen, not allowing it to cause a streak that would be noticeable.
"Ye-" Grace cuts herself off when her voice cracks. She clears her throat, making sure to double check that her face didn't look puffy. "Yeah?" She asks, turning her head to the entrance of the bathroom.
"Hey, Klaus told me you talked to your dad." Hayley says as she peeks her head into the bathroom. Grace nods her head, brushing her hair out of her face as she meets the girls eyes.
"Uh, yeah. I did." Grace responds as she leans against the counter. Hayley gives a gentle smile as she crosses her arms against her chest.
"How did it go?" Hayley asks, not really wanting to ask if it was too uncomfortable but she wanted to know if Robert had been a scumbag or not.
"You know... Fine." She responds with a slow nod as a sigh leaves her lips. Hayley squints her eyes as she takes a step towards Grace.
"Did he try anything." Hayley questions and Grace shakes her head, a sigh of relief leaving the hybrids lips. "You'll let me know if he tries to contact you again?" It wasn't that she needed to know, she just wanted to know so she would know whether or not to beat his ass.
"Of course, sugar." Grace replies with a smile on her face. Hayley stares at her for a moment, her eyebrows furrowing.
"Are you okay?" She asks curiously as she noticed that the girls mood was slightly off. Grace just instantly nods her head as she brightens her smile.
"I'm fine." Grace tells her and before Hayley could say anything else, she was interrupted.
"Brother! Niklaus!" They hear Elijah's voice boom through the courtyard. Grace and Hayley share a glance before they both walk out of the bedroom and towards the courtyard where Elijah was walking into.
"You do realize that literally everyone here has supernatural hearing, right?" Hayley asks with a groan as she makes her way down the stairs, followed by grace.
"Not me." Grace points out and Hayley only glances at her, giving a playful expression. They both stop in front of Elijah who was obviously on a mission.
"Where is my brother?" He asks as he looks at the both of them. Hayley furrows her eyebrows at him.
"Oh, I'll just check his calender.." She trails off, before looking back at Elijah as she tsks her tongue. "Oh,ย wait. Not his wife." Hayley states as she raises her eyebrows at the original. Elijah didn't seem too amused by her answer.
"Hayley, this city is under siege by an army of beasts following my deranged mother's every command. Now considering it was your people who just declared war on my kind, perhaps now's not the best time for your particular brand of sass." Elijah explains to her, squinting his eyes at the woman. Hayley let's out a sigh as she rolls her eyes.
"Klaus left a while ago. If you want to find him, I can't help you." Hayley tells him as she crosses her arms against her chest. Elijah clenches his jaw as he just stared back at her.
"Grace, do you have any idea where my brother went?" Elijah asks, deciding to turn to the more tolerable sister right now. But Grace shakes her head as well.
"I havent seen him since yesterday." Grace answers honestly as when she had come back last night, he hadn't been in his room. Elijah sighs as he glanced around for a moment.
"If only there was a magical device that people use to call people. I don't know. I'm out of ideas." Hayley taunts him as she shrugs her shoulders, turning to walk away but stops herself. "Oh, one more thing, elijah." She says as she looks back at him, her eyes full of anger. "Those beasts that you're referring to. They may be under Esther's control but like you said, they're my people." She explains to him and Elijah just stared back at her. "So, if you hurt them, your bitch mother will be the least of your problems." Hayley finishes before heading off. Grace smirks to herself before following after the hybrid, honestly not really wanting to be around the man on a mission.

CAMILLE OPENS HER DOOR AFTER HEARING A KNOCK ON IT. She was slightly surprised to see Grace standing in the hallway. She hadn't heard from the girl in a few days and the only reason she hadn't reported her missing to the police was because she was nagging Klaus to give her details. Klaus did end up keeping her in the loop but she hated how he was constantly around grace and she wasn't.
"Grace, hey." Camille says, a light smile on her face but Grace could see that she was a little bit confused by her sudden appearance.
"Hi, Cami." She replies as she brushes her hair behind her ear. Grace glances around, fiddling with her fingers. "Is this a bad time?" Grace asks curiously, putting her hands in her pockets. Camille instantly shakes her head, clearing her throat.
"No, come in." Camille moves out of the way so grace could enter the apartment. She closes the door behind the woman, turning to face her. "Is everything okay?" She asks as maybe she was visiting because something had happened. Grace nods her head as she walks through the apartment.
"Yeah, I just thought I'd come hang out with you." Grace tells her as they both sit on the couch. Camille looks at her, resting her arm on the back of the couch.
"We haven't talked since you ran out of Rousseau's."ย Camille points out as she seemed to think that there was still more to be said. She could tell grace wanted to talk about something but was doubtful it would actually happen.
"I know." Grace admits with a sigh as she rubs her face a little bit."I'm sorry, I just needed to get out." She states, she would've explained if she was able to but she could barely form words that day.
"I understand." Camille responds as she wasn't blaming the girl nor was she angry. "It was your father, right?" She questions curiously but she already knew the answer.
"Yeah." Grace replies softly, a soft breath leaving her lips. Camille reaches over, grabbing the girls hand and giving it a squeeze. Grace squeezes it back, closing her eyes for a moment.
"How did it feel? Seeing him again?" She asks carefully but she could feel the girl tense, her jaw clenching.
"I came here for a friend not a therapist." Grace points out as she moves her eyes to Camille's.
"I'm just worried about you." Camille admits as she didn't mean to be invasive, from what Klaus told her, it had made her wonder what grace was feeling through everything.
"No need to be worried, Cami." Grace assures her as she squeezes the girls hand again. Camille still didn't look too convinced. "Promise." She adds and Camille nods slowly.
"I'm still gonna worry anyways." Camille states as she was never not going to worry for the woman. Grace shakes her head, a smile forming.
"Of course you are." She responds with a laugh as she rolls her eyes. Camille smiles at her, her eyes dropping to her hands.
"So, is Klaus still treating you right?" Camille asks, honestly wanting to know if Klaus had made a move yet. Because if he had, then that meant that Grace was off the table.
"He's fine." Grace responds with a light smile, honestly Klaus was one of the things in her life that wasn't screwed up right now. Camille feels her heart clench as she tries to put a playful smile on her lips.
"Just fine? Cause I swear, that man better not hurt you." Camille tells her and Grace laughs a little bit, shaking her head.
"He won't, Cami." She assures the woman, knowing Klaus in his right mind, would never hurt her. Grace still wasn't sure why but she knew he wouldn't.
"So, are you two like.. I don't know." Camille stops herself, not wanting to out it but also not wanting to know if they were actually together.
"Like what?" Grace asks, a little bit confused, wondering why she had stopped mid sentence.
"Just forget I said anything." Camille tells her as she shakes her head. Grace furrows her eyebrows, staring at her.
"Okay." She replies hesitantly, it must not have been the important. Camille glances over at Grace, biting her bottom lip. Her eyes move over the girls facial features, almost entranced. Grace meets her eyes, raising an eyebrow at her, a soft smile on her lips. Camille only leans over, planting her lips gently on Grace's. Grace kisses back for a second before pulling away, feeling slightly bad. "I'm not really in the mood, Cami." She admits as she sits back a little bit. Camilles face falls but she quickly covers it up.
"Right.." Camille replies as she clears her throat, rubbing the back of her neck. "Yeah, sorry." She apologizes as she stares down at her hands, internally hitting herself. She knew right then that she didn't have a chance, not when Klaus was around. Because Grace thought she was just trying to sleep with her when in reality, Camille kissed her for a whole other reason.
GRACE WAS WALKING DOWN THE STREETS OF NEW ORLEANS, it was nighttime now but she didn't particularly want to go back to the compound just yet. Honestly, the cool air was clearing her mind and she definitely needed that if she was going to think to herself. And make a decision on whether or not to stay in Nea Orleans.
She lets out a sigh as she brings her hand up to her hair. Grace suddenly bumps into someone, causing her eyes to widen. "Woah." She says as she looks up, noticing that it was Klaus who was in front of her. Grace raises an eyebrow at him as he seemed to come out of the bar in a hurry. "And where are you off to in such a rush?" Grace asks him curiously and he looks down at her, realizing it was Grace who asked him.
"Not much time for talking, love." Klaus says as he starts to walk but she blocks him, scoffing lightly.
"Then waste a minute." Grace tells him and he just looks down at her as she crosses he arms against her chest. "What are you up to?" She asks, the man was definitely on a mission, she just didn't know what. No doubt to kill somebody.
"Let me guess. Cami texted you?" Klaus asks with a sigh as he rolls his eyes.
"No. I just know you're always up to no good." She retorts with a smirk playing on her lips.
"I'm just off to see a witch." Klaus says as he goes to move past her but she grabs his arm, pulling him to a stop.
"If that witch is Davina then I don't think so." Grace states as she glares at him, she didn't need him making another dumb mistake.
"She brought my father back to kill me." He points out, he had a justified reason to kill the girl. Grace was a little taken aback by that, she didn't know it was Davina who brought Mikael back. But even then, at least she wouldn't let him kill Klaus until Josh and Marcel were no longer link to Klaus. At least that's how grace thinks it works, honestly, she didn't really listen much.
"Whatever reasoning Davina had, it was justified given what you and your family did to her." Grace responds and Klaus only squints his eyes at her.
"So, you're friends with her then?" Klaus asks as he raises an eyebrow, not seeming too impressed. Grace only chuckles as she crosses her arms against her chest.
"And you're friends with Marcel. I guess it cancels each other out, doesn't it?" She retorts and he clenches his jaw for a moment. He looks around before letting out a sigh.
"If you want to tag along, love. Then come with me." Klaus tells her as he walks towards the car, opening the driver's door. "Just stop wasting my bloody time." He says, getting inside. Grace stares at the car for a moment before letting out a groan.
"Fine." She grumbles as she walks over to the passenger side, getting in. "Only because I don't want you to hurt Davina." Grace says as she closes the door, putting the seatbelt on. Klaus only starts the car, pulling out of the parking spot.
They were a couple minutes down the road, grace had her head resting against the window as she just stared aimlessly out. Klaus had glanced over a couple of times but was deciding whether or not to say something. "Are you thinking about something, love?" He asks her, but she doesn't look towards him.
"No." Grace replies bluntly as she lets out a sigh, watching the building pass by in the moonlight.
"Your facade doesn't work around me." Klaus states and her eyebrows furrow as she glanced over at him, giving him a confused expression.
"What?"
"The facade you put on to make it seem like you're okay." Klaus tells her and her face drops a little bit but he could see she was trying to keep her face neutral. "Hayley may buy it but I don't." He states and she clenches her jaw a little bit, scoffing as she brings her eyes to the window.
"I don't care what you buy, Nik." Grace admits as she rests her head against her hand.
"Is it about your father?" Klaus asks as he knew she was still a little shaken even if she won't admit it. Grace shakes her head as he thought.
"No."
"You know, you're a horrible liar." Klaus points out as he raises an eyebrow at her. Grace meets his eyes, squinting hers.
"And you're annoying." She retorts as she rolls her eyes a little bit. He gasps as he brings his hand to his chest.
"Ouch." He teases her and she smiles for a millisecond before it turns into a look of concern. "Love, if you want to talk, I'm here." Klaus tells her as he offers a soft smile. "Or if you just want to vent about something and have someone listen, nows the perfect time for no eavesdroppers. I won't say a word to anyone." He states as he tilts his head, trying to read her expression. Grace bites the inside of her cheek as she looks towards the window.
"I just.." She trails off for a moment, taking a deep breath as she closes her eyes for a moment. "Do you ever feel like you're not in control of your body?" Grace asks him, looking over at the original. Klaus furrows his eyebrows, not exactly knowing what she meant. "Like... Sometimes I feel like I'm floating outside of my body, looking down on myself." Grace tells him and Klaus let's out a sigh as he stared at the road in front of him. "And these thoughts rack through my brain..terrible thoughts. When I was talking to my dad and I was telling him how I wasn't going to become him and do something rash like hurt him." She starts to explain to him and Klaus decides to pull over to the side of the road, putting the car into park.
"The whole time, I was thinking about stabbing the knife into his neck. Just watching him bleed out." Grace's eyes were a little bit wide as she just stared in front of her. Klaus reaches his hand out, placing it on her arm. "I was trying to think rationally, make him actually suffer rather than get my revenge. But everytime I think of him, I think about how I want to murder him." Grace states, her voice shaking a little bit as her fingers fiddle together. "How I want to just watch the life leave his eyes. And how free I'd feel after it." She takes a deep breath but she felt the tears forming in her eyes. She kept her head down so that he couldn't see but just looking at her body language, he could tell.
"He made my life a living hell. Even today, even after years of not seeing him or talking to him. The words he said, still echo in my mind." Grace tells him. "How I'm not good enough for anybody. How no one will ever actually love me. How I'll die alone, cold and suffering." Grace states as she clenches her jaw, feeling her heart race in her chest. Klaus rubs his face as he just watched her. "T-that I deserve every single thing that happens to me in my miserable existence." She brings her hand up to her chest, gasping a little bit. Klaus didn't know whether to try and comfort her or not or to just keep listening. "Every single thing he ever said to me, every single time I believed him. Because I didn't know anything else. I never had any friends. No teacher ever cared. My mom didn't care." Grace says as she wipes the stray tear that left her eye.
"And then of course, the first boy that even showed any affection towards me and told me he loved me, I immediately believed him." Grace says with a scoff as she shakes her head, bringing her hand up to cover her eyes. Klaus frowns as he watches her carefully. "Even when he beat me so hard that I couldn't see." She had to stop herself, hearing her voice crack as she felt the tears stream down her cheeks. "Fuck, I'm sorry." She mumbles as she brings her head down, soft cries leaving her lips.
"Don't apologize, love." Klaus replies as he brings his hand to her back, rubbing it softly. "Just let it out." He tells her as the girl cries, covering her face with her hands. Klaus brings his hand to her hair, running his fingers through it before moving his hand back down to her back. Grace lifts her eyes, bringing her hand up to wipe her tears.
"Am I terrible person? Do I deserve everything my father said because I've had thoughts of killing him since I was little?" She asks as she sniffles, her eyes boring into his. Klaus sighs, shaking his head.
"No." He immediately replies as he leans forward a little bit. "You're just a person trying to survive in this world." Klaus tells her and she nods her head but he could tell she didn't really hear him. He clenches his jaw as he looks out the window. "Love, maybe you should talk to Hayley." Klaus suggests, looking back over at her.
"What?"
"Talk to her. About all of this. Bottling it up like this isn't good for you." Klaus says as he watches the way her face falls, fear forming on her eyes.
"N-no." She denied as she shakes her head, wiping her eyes. "No, I'm not talking to Hayley about this and neither are you. She can't know any of this." Grace tells him and Klaus rests his head back against his seat.
"She's hardly innocent either, love." He points out as Hayley has done way worse. Grace shakes her head, clasping her hands together.
"It's different." She mumbles, her voice cracking slightly. Klaus furrows his eyebrows as he didn't really see how. Grace has killed one person while Hayley has killed multiple.
"How-"
"Because she was made into what she thinks is a monster, she wasn't born one." Grace tells him and Klaus sighs, tilting his head. "Do you know how high a pedestal she puts me on?" She asks as she meets his eyes. "Growing up, I was her saviour. I did everything in my power to give her a good life after she got kicked out. If she knew the things I have done... She'd never look at me the same." Grace tells him as she brings her eyes down to her hands.
"You don't know that." Klaus replies as he didn't think that Hayley would say anything bad, it wasn't like Dylan was a saint.
"Yes, I do." Grace retorts as she bites the inside of her cheek. She meets his gaze yet again. "You are not saying anything to Hayley." She says as she looks at him and she could see the hesitation in his eyes. "Nik, promise me." Klaus just lets out a breath as he opens his mouth to say something but closes it. Grace leans over, putting her hand in his. He glanced at her hand, before meeting her eyes. "Nik." She pleads as she gazes at the man.
"I promise, love." Klaus responds as he squeezed her hand. Grace lets go, sitting back in her seat and resting her head against her window. Klaus puts the car in drive, taking off down the road again.
He lets his eyes wander back to Grace, watching as she just rubbed her forehead. He lets out a sigh as he brings his eyes back to the road.
AS THEY ARRIVE AT THE CABIN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WOODS, Klaus puts the car into park. He glanced around the woods before his eyes settle on Grace who was taking off her seatbelt. "Stay in the car, love." Klaus tells her as he opens his door. Grace stares at him, raising an eyebrow at the hybrid.
"I don't think so." Grace replies as she gets out of the car as well, shutting the door behind her. "This is where people get killed in horror movies."ย She states as she looks around, getting the shivers as she felt like an ax murderer was just going to come running at her.
"We're not in a horror movie." Klaus says, rolling his eyes as she walks next to him.
"Your father is lurking around, it's basically reinacting the movie psycho."ย Grace tells him and Klaus just glanced at her, letting out a sigh as they get up to the cabin. They peer inside, seeing no one. "No one's here." She points out, putting her hands inside of her pockets.
"No one that we can see." Klaus retorts and she only follows him as he makes his way into the yard. He stops beside a stick that was stuck into the ground.
"Wow. You found a stick." Grace taunts him as she stops beside him. Klaus glanced at her before pointing at the mark that was on it.
"With the same engravings my father used to make." He replies making her saying lightly. Klaus grabs it out of the ground, turning around and throwing it so that it went through the window. "Enough games, Davina!" Klaus yells as he stares at the cabin, seeing no movement. "Send out my father. Let's finish this." He tells her and Grace only backs up a little bit.
"Are you sure you want to take him on now when he has the weapon that can kill you?" Grace asks him as she wasn't sure that this was the safest plan.
"Davina! Is this not what you brought him for? I'm not afraid!" He screams at the cabin and Grace only sighs, placing her hands on her hips.
"Maybe stupid." Grace states as she looks around and Klaus only turns to her, glaring lightly.
"Get in the bloody car." Klaus demands as he gestures to the car. Grace scoffs as she shakes her head.
"No." Grace responds as she crosses her arms against her chest. But her eyes drift behind him, widening lightly. Klaus turns around, seeing Mikael standing on the porch with the white oak stake in his hand. "Yeah, I'll get in the car." She states as she quickly gets into the car, locking the doors. She bends down, blocking herself from view for a moment.
Grace honestly just didn't want to see Klaus get killed. She didn't have her gun with her and her hand to hand combat would do nothing towards an original. Especially one hell bent on killing his son. But she let curiousity get the best of her as she peeks her head up after hearing Klaus groan. Looking through the window, she gasps as she notices that Mikael had the stake pointed at Klaus who was on the ground.
"Nik!" Grace screams as she opens the door. Mikael glances towards her for a quick second, distracting him long enough for Klaus to hit his arm. The stake goes in his arm rather than his heart but it still earns a pained groan from Klaus. She gasps as she stares at him but Klaus grabs something from beside him.
Klaus stabs the Tunde blade into Mikaels chest making the man scream in pain. The blade goes fully into him, allowing Klaus to push him off. Grace stares at the scene in front of her before her eyes land back on klaus.
"Nik, are you okay?" She asks as she rushed over to him, bending down next to him. Klaus groans as he grabs the white oak stake, pulling it out of him. It was out for a second before he felt a fist pound on his chest. "Are you a fucking idiot?!" Grace screams at him and Klaus raises his eyebrows as he feels her lay another punch to his chest. "You could've died!" She states as she stares at him like he had gone crazy.
"Glad to know you care, love." Klaus responds with a low chuckle as he stands up from the ground, pulling the girl up with him but he could see the unhappy expression on her face.
"I might just kill you myself, you dumbass." She tells him as she shakes her head, scoffing. But she felt herself sniffle, her eyes drifting to the ground.
"Are you crying?" Klaus asks, a hint of a teasing tone in his voice.
"No." Grace instantly responds, shaking her head, wiping away her tear. "These are tears of anger." She tells him and Klaus nods slowly before letting out a sigh.
"I'm okay." Klaus assures her as it hurt like a bitch to get stabbed but it didn't stab him in the heart.
"This is not okay." Grace tells him as she points to the hole in his arm that was healing.
"It's just a scratch." Klaus states as he brushes over his arm. Grace just glares at him even more.
"It would be a bigger scratch if he hadnt missed." She points out, crossing her arms against her chest. Klaus clenches his jaw as he stares at the woman.
"I can handle myself, love." He tells her and she shakes her head at him.
"And what if you hadn't?" Grace questions as she raises an eyebrow at him. Klaus only looks at her, seeing her angry gaze but he could see the concern in her eyes as well.
"Where is she?" Camilles voice interrupts them and they look over, seeing the woman running over to them. "If anything happened to her, Klaus. I swear to god!" She threatens as she stops in front of them. Grace smirks lightly as she glanced at Klaus.
"Davina's fine. She'll wake with a spectacular headache, but given her intentions for me, she should count herself lucky." Klaus explains to the woman as he watches her bend over, breathing heavily. Grace raises her eyebrows as she puts her hand on the woman's back.
"Did you run all the way here?" Grace asks curiously as she rubs the woman's back. Camille nods as she puts her hand over her chest.
"Of course, if you drop dead of a heart attack, I may have to kill her on general principle." Klaus states and both of them look at him, neither of them finding him busy.
"You're the one who ditched me at the bar." Camille points out as she holds her finger out at him. "I had to hitchhike and then run on the backroads of the Bayou." She states as she gestures behind her.
"Well, your perseverance is duly noted." Klaus states as he raises his eyebrows. Camille just glares harshly at him.
"Oh, shut up." She snaps at him and Grace laughs, looking down at the ground. "I am so mad at you, I can hardly speak." Camille tells him and Grace's eyes brighten.
"Ooh, I'll punch him for you." She states as she holds up her hand. Klaus turns his head towards her, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Honestly I would love that." Camille admits and Grace goes to punch Klaus but he quickly catches her fist, giving her a warning glare. "But I am here and it is to tell you not to bargain with you and not to shame you but to tell you, under no circumstances will you hurt that girl. Do you understand me?" She asks Klaus as she looks at him. Klaus let's out a sigh as he flickers his eyes between the two women.
"You have my word. Both of you." Klaus states as he sees a hint of a smile form on Grace's lips.
"Is that Mikael?" Camille asks as she stares down at the dead body. "Is he.." She trails off, looking towards Klaus who shakes his head.
"He's still alive. In complete and utter agony. I decided to take your advice and keep him that way." Klaus states and Camille smiles, nodding her head. She puts her hands on their shoulders before moving past and heading towards the cabin.
"I don't know. Im kind of cold, I could use a bonfire." Grace adds as she shrugs her shoulders. Klaus only chuckles as he shakes his head. He moves down, picking up Mikael's body and dragging it over to the car. Opening the trunk, he puts the body inside before closing it shut.
Klaus and Grace walks to join Camille at the cabin, although Klaus couldn't go inside. "We should get her to a hospital." Camille tells them when she sees them enter the cabin. Kaleb glanced over, raising his eyebrows at Klaus.
"Oh, hello darling. Back to huff and puff and blow the house down?" Kaleb asks him snarkily and Klaus just gives him a tight smile. "With your beautiful Cinderella." He adds as he looks at Grace, sending her a wink.
"You know those are two completely different stories, right?" Grace asks as she could see the unamused expression on Klaus' face and decided not to add to the fire.
"You know, it's funny how often a person's sharp tongue can end up cutting their own throat." Klaus tells him and Camille immediately glares over at him.
"Klaus, he's just a kid. Give him a break." Camille tells him and Klaus just rolls his eyes.
"You know, she's right. You might want to try a bit of lavender under your pillow. Does wonders for stuck up pillocks with anger issues." Kaleb states with a growing smirk.
"Hey, shut it." Camille snaps at Kaleb before moving over to stand where grace and Klaus were.
"I promised not to kill Davina, I said nothing of this insolent sod." Klaus says as he clasps his hands behind his back.
"Klaus, come on." Camille says with a sigh as she crosses her arms against her chest. "A minute ago, you had the opportunity to kill your father with this thing and you didn't. You're not going to kill this kid with it either." She explains to him as she raises an eyebrow at the hybrid. Grace just squints her eyes at the woman.
"You know he's not a kid right?" Grace asks her and Camille only shrugs her shoulders.
"He's looks young enough." She responds and kaleb was only smirking as he sat next to Davina.
"I'm older than you think, darling." Kol responds and Grace rolls her eyes as she peers into the cabin.
"Fine." Klaus begrudgingly says as he looks at Camille.
"Thank you." She responds.
"Go get the car. Let's take her to a hospital." Klaus tells her and Camille nods, heading to the car. He turns his head back to Kaleb who was standing up from his place. "You've got a way with words." He states as he squints his eyes a little bit.
"Well, I've traveled." Kaleb responds, turning to the man and putting his hands inside of his pockets.
"You seem to have crossed continents in order to weasel your way into Davina's good graces, thereby meddling in my family business." Klaus explains to him, stepping to the entrance and leaning on the doorframe.ย "Strange, isn't it?" He asks, perking an eyebrow up at Kaleb who smirks, glancing down at the floor. "Unless, of course, it's your family business." He adds and Grace just furrows her eyebrows, looking between the two as she brings her cigarette back to her lips. "Ever since my dinner with my mother and Finn, I've been wondering when you might make an appearance... Kol." Klaus says and kaleb chuckles as he bows in front of the man.
"The jigg is up." Kaleb states, looking up at Klaus with a smirk on his lips. "Hello, brother." He says and Grace immediately snaps her head to Klaus. She brings her cigarette down, hoping that the smoke affected her hearing.
"Brother?" Grace asks as she looks between the two and she could see the knowing smirk on kaleb- kol-, whoever he was. She could see the smirk on his face.ย "How many of your dead relatives are back from the dead?" She questions, wondering if there was any more surprises that she should know.
"Love, I'm not exactly pleased about it either." Klaus mumbles as he glanced towards her. "It's not that I begrudge you, hitching a ride back to the land of the living. It's just that you're making all the wrong friends, brother. And I have half a mind to show you how wrong you are." He explains as he stares at his brother who only raises an eyebrow.
"But you're not gonna do that, are you, because you're little blonde friend told you to leave me alone." Kaleb says as he walks towards them. "I'm curious. Does she take those little plastic baggies out when she takes you for a walk?" He taunts with a chuckle and Klaus only chuckles.
"Cami, I've changed my mind. I am gonna kill him after all." Klaus says loudly and Grace only slaps his chest.
"Nik." She scolds him but the man was only glaring at his brother. Grace brings her eyes to Kaleb, biting the inside of his cheek. "How long have you been.... You know, inside of that body?" Grace asks cautiously as she was praying to herself that it wasnt that long. But the man instantly smirks as he takes another step forward.
"Oh, I don't know. It's hard to say." Kaleb starts, pretending to think to himself. "At least a couple months." He admits and Grace could feel her stomach twist. "My first night I actually went to a bar, met a very pretty blonde." Kaleb explains and Grace presses her lips together tightly, noticing how Klaus was glancing towards her now, more confused than anything. But it seemed like he was piecing it together. "It was definitely a night to remember. She was... Exquisite." Kaleb finishes as he gives grace a once over. Klaus clenches his fists as he glares at the man.
"I'm gonna wait in the car." Grace mutters as she points behind her. She quickly turns, wanting to escape the conversation but she hears footsteps behind her.
"Actually, I'm gonna come with you, love." Klaus replies and her eyes widen as she rubs the back of her neck, chuckling underneath her breath.
"You really don't have to."ย Grace responds as she clears her throat. She stops in her step, slowly turning to face the man who only had his eyebrows raised at her, his arms against his chest.
"You slept with another one of my siblings?" He asks, she didn't know if he was angry, jealous or just shocked. Maybe it was all three wrapped up in one.
"In my defence.... I didnt know he was your brother." Grace replies as she holds up her hands. How was she supposed to know that kaleb was kol and that Kol was his brother?
"I am going to rip his tongue out of his head." Klaus mumbles as he looks back at the house. Grace smirks lightly as she bites her cheek.
"Nik. It was one time." Grace states as it wasn't like she started something with the man, it was one night on the day she left. "Geez, don't get so jealous." She teases him with a wink and Klaus just tenses, shaking his head.
"I'm not jealous." He denies and Grace snorts, knowing very well that he was jealous. She only continues to walk to the car but stops when she notices the front door open, blood on the window. Klaus moves in front of her, making sure she was behind him when he checked the trunk. But Mikael was gone.
"Great plan, Nik." She says bluntly as she stares at the empty trunk before looking at Klaus. He was only glaring back at her even though he wasn't mad at her.
Mikael had Cami and they weren't going to stop until they got her back.
