GRACE HAD FOLLOWED KLAUS OUTSIDE, she knew it was a bad idea since the man seemed to be on edge. But she couldn't live with herself if she didnt even try to stop him. What Rebekah did was horrible but Grace didn't believe that she deserved death. "Klaus." She calls out after him but he just continues to walk, increasing his speed.

"You cannot change my mind." He retorts as he keeps his gaze in front of him. Grace had to jog in order to catch up with him but he still didn't even look at her.

"Please, just think about what you are doing." Grace tells him and Klaus only scoffs, finally glancing towards her but it was only for a mere second to roll his eyes.

"I have." He mutters but Grace wouldn't have it. She got in front of him, placing her hands on his chest to stop him from walking. Klaus just stops, his eyes looking down at her hands.

"You aren't thinking straight." She points out and Klaus just lifts his gaze to hers, his showing anger and frustration.

"Love, I suggest you take your hand off of me." Klaus threatens as he was so close to snapping her wrist if she didn't let him go. But she didnt budge, she wasn't scared by him empty threats.

"No. Klaus, I am asking you not to do this." Grace says as she just needed him to listen for one second, to allow one piece of logic to enter his mind.

"And you think your words mean something to me? They don't." He replies with a scoff as he grabs her hands, pushing them off of his body harshly. Grace only steps to the side to block him from moving.

"This isn't what you want to Do-" She starts but Klaus had enough of her trying to persuade him to do the right thing.

"And what would you know of what I want? You don't know me." Klaus says with a glare as he clenches his jaw. Grace only glares back at him, not letting his intimidation work on her.

"It doesn't matter if I know you or not." She snaps back at him as it didn't take much to know that Klaus and Rebekah cared for each other. They were brother and sister and their bond doesn't just disappear. "Killing Rebekah will kill a piece of you." Grace states as she lost a piece of herself killing Dylan. And she hadn't known him for a thousand years.

"There's nothing left to destroy inside of me." Klaus sneers as he takes a step closer to her. Grace tries to keep her composure but her mask slipped a little bit, her eyes showing a little bit of fear. "I am putting an end to my excuse of a sister." He states as he goes to move past her but she only stops him once again.

"So, what? You'll hunt them to the ends of the earth just like your father did to you?" She asks him, she knew it was not a good thing bringing up Mikael but it was one of the only cards she had left.

"I have been called a lot of things. My father... That's new." Klaus admits with a small smirk, although his face showed no sign of amusement. "My father was the monster feared by all monsters. I will not do what he did to me, no." He denies as he shakes his head. "I will not hunt them for centuries, torture them, dehumanize them. No. I will just end them quick and fast." Klaus states but Grace only scoffs. He said that like it was so easy. This wasn't like daggering them and then taking it out after a hundred years. You could not just take back stabbing them with a white oak.

"So, you'll feel no guilt?" She asks as she tries to read his eyes but kept them stone cold. "None at all?" Grace wanted to see the slight hint of emotion but he hid it well. She knew he probably trained to do that so that he could pretend not to care for anyone or anything.

"The night that my father came to New Orleans, he had set the opera on fire. Everyone inside died and we assumed Marcel did aswell." Klaus tells her and she furrows her eyebrows, just listening to him. "That night, I thought she was trying to save me when In fact it was the opposite." He states as he now realizes that the only reason Rebekah was there, was to save Marcel because Mikael had him.

"Klaus-" Grace starts to say but he only cuts her off.

"I will not stand to have her betray me any longer." Klaus snaps before disappearing before Grace could even blink. She glanced around but there was no sign of the original. She groans as she tilts her head back.

Well, this was not good.

"KLAUS?" Grace asks as she saw him standing in front of elijah in the cemetery. Luckily, because Klaus had put his contact in her phone, she could track it and figure out where he was. Also, elijah had told her that they were stuck in the cemetery because of Celeste who was luckily now dead. So, that just left Genevieve. But honestly, Grace hoped that Davina was brought back so they could spare the cute redhead.

"Did I not make myself clear, love?" Klaus asks with a groan as he turns his head to watch the woman walk over to him. She raises an eyebrow at him, scoffing lightly.

"What? That you have an idiotic plan?" She replies as she crosses her arms against her chest, standing next to Elijah so she could face Klaus. Elijah didnt seem too pleased that she was there either, he had only texted her to warn her to stay away. He should've realized that she would do the exact opposite.

"Grace, you shouldn't be here." Elijah mutters as he looks down at her. Grace glances at him, giving him a soft smile.

"I can take care of myself Elijah." Grace promises as she rests her hand on his arm. Elijah seemed unsure, he would still protect her if necessary.

"Oh, look who's all chummy now." Klaus points out as he gestures his fingers between them two but he couldn't help the jealous knot he felt in his stomach. "You know she staked your heart, what? Seven hours ago?" He reminds his brother who only sighs. Elijah knew Grace was confused and hurt whenever he had stabbed the blade into Klaus. It wasn't a surprise she acted on her impulse.

"I'm not opposed to doing the same thing to you." She retorts with a light glare as she wasn't going to use the white oak, but a regular stake would hurt just as much, it just wouldn't kill him permanently.

"Wow, look who's grown into a big girl." He teases as he tilts his head, a smirk on his lips. Grace only rolls her eyes, a little bit annoyed by his attitude.

"Get behind me." Elijah says as he was not about to let her get in the way of their grudge match. "There's no telling the lengths he'll go." He tells her and Grace sighs, she knew of the risk coming here.

"I'm fine, elijah." Grace tells him.

"You are not getting to Rebekah." Elijah tells Klaus who only sighs as he rolls his eyes a little bit.

"And how long do you suppose you can keep me away from her?" The hybrid asks as they were trapped in the cemetery for quite a while most likely. Elijah wouldn't be able to do much for long.

"However long it takes. And with whatever means necessary." Elijah tells him as he holds the blade in his hand. Klaus glances at it before he takes a step closer.

"How about I stake you, and then I stake Rebekah? Would you like that instead?" Klaus questions as he was getting tired of Elijah's self-righteous act. He pretends hes not on anyone's side but really, he would never truly be on his. Instead, he acts like he wants to redeem Klaus when he completes actions that does the complete opposite.

"You won't kill either of us." Elijah replies and Klaus only laughs as he raises his eyebrows.

"Oh, I beg to differ." Klaus tells him

"Klaus, do you not hear yourself?" Grace asks as she knew she needed to say something. He was so worried about what his child would think when she is born, but the way he is acting now, it wouldn't be a surprise if she turned on him like everyone else. "And you wonder why you believe your child will hate you. It's because you behave this-" She didn't get to finish her sentence as Klaus had sped her against one of the tombs, his hand clasped around her throat as he lifts her off of the ground. Elijahs eyes had widened at the sight.

"Do not speak of my child!" Klaus shouts at her as his grip on the girls throat tightens. She gasps as her hands go to his, trying to push him off but he didn't budge.

"Niklaus, let her go!" Elijah demands as he rushed over to the pair. Grace was struggling against the hybrid, her eyes wide as she could feel herself start to lose consciousness with how hard he was pressing against her throat. "I said let her go!" The man rips Klaus away from her, pushing him back before catching grace as she fell forward. "Do you not see what you are doing?" Elijah asks harshly as grace only coughs, trying to get the breath back into her lungs. She could feel Elijah holding onto her, rubbing her back as she was bent over. "Hurting an innocent woman for your own selfish gain." He sneers as he glares at his brother who seemed to be slightly shocked that he had touched the girl. But he couldn't stop himself, it had just happened because his rage got the best of him.

"I'm okay." She tells him as she rubs her throat, feeling her heartbeat come back to normal. Elijah was still looking over her warily before his eyes move back to his brother.

"After everything she spoke to you of about her father. And yet you still harm her." He shakes his head, ashamed that the man had touched her. Klaus looks down at the ground, clenching his jaw as he knew he had messed up.

"Elijah, I told you, I'm okay." Grace assures him as she grabs his hand and moves it off of her back. But Elijah didn't seem to care if she was okay, what he cared about was that Klaus had put his hands on her. He was only giving a deadly glare to Klaus, his fists clenching.

"I swear to you, Niklaus. You touch her again and I will drive that stake through your heart."

GRACE WALKS THROUGH THE DOOR OF HER HOUSE, closing the door behind her as she lets out a sigh. It had not been a fun day at school. They had a test in science and because of the fact that her father yelled at her the entire night yesterday, she could barely study. She was pretty sure she failed it which was amazing since that was only going to make her father even angrier than he already was.

"How was school, sweetheart?" Ann asks as as has a cigarette between her lips, sitting at the table. Grace only glanced at her, she knew the woman was just asking because that's what she always did. Everyday when she got home, her mom would ask how it went and she would have the same response.

"The same as it always is." Grace mutters as she brushes her hair out of her face. Ann nods as she blows the smoke out of her mouth. "Where's dad?" She asks, not that she cared, she just needed to know where his mood was and if she had time to have a little bit of piece and quiet.

"In the bedroom." Her mother responds and Grace just nods before heading in the direction of her own room. She had barely set her bag down before she heard pounding footsteps headed towards her.

"Hey, brat." Roberts voice comes from behind her and she only turns to face him. "Did you go through my stuff?" He asks, his voice accusatory as he points his finger at her.

"What? No." Grace scoffs as she never dared to touch his stuff, she didn't have a death wish.

"Then tell me why I left this morning and my closet was shut and then I came home to it open." He explains to her and Grace only sighs as she glanced down at the ground.

"Maybe because you and mom share the same closet." She retorts quietly but she knew her father had heard it because he had taken a threatening step towards her.

"Do not get smart with me, little girl." Robert sneers at her and she only sighs, glancing up at him.

"I didn't touch your stuff. I was at school." Grace points out as it was impossible for her to have done it since they left at the same time in the morning and he had gotten back before she did.

"Well, I know you're used to being in my places you're not supposed to be. So, what'd you take?" Robert asks as he stops right in front of her, making Grace gulp as she doesn't dare move her eyes away from him.

"Nothing." She replies and Robert only grabs a handful of the girls hair, bringing her forward harshly making the girl wince.

"What did you take?" His voice was sharper this time, not having the patience to play games with her.

"I didn't take anything." No matter how many times she says it, he would never believe her. He never did. Grace sometimes thinks that he just asks the questions rhetorically since they both knew how the conversation would end.

"Do not lie to me!" Robert shouts as he clasps his hand around the girls throat, squeezing it tightly. Grace grasps at his hands, feeling herself begin to choke as she kicks against the floor.

Grace gasps as she sits up abruptly, glancing around frantically before bringing her hand to her throat. It had just been a bad dream. She noticed the decor of the Marshall's guest bedroom. But she couldn't slow her breathing, it felt like she as right back at that house. Her father's grip had felt so real.

"Grace, are you okay?" Hayleys voice asks from beside the girl. She had heard the girl moving around a lot since her bedroom was right next door. And when she had heard the gasp and screams, she had decided to come see what we wrong.

"Y-yeah." Grace says, still out of breath as she brings her hands down to the side. "It was just a bad dream." She tells the girl who didn't look all too convinced.

"That seemed more than a bad dream." Hayley replies as she walks over, sitting next to the girl and her face showed the concern that she felt.

"I'm okay, Hayley. Promise." She says with a weak smile but Hayley only frowns, shaking her head as she knew the girl was lying.

"You were screaming in your sleep." Hayley points out and Grace sighs, glancing towards her hands.

"Like I said-" She goes to say but Hayley just cuts her off, placing her hand softly on the girls knee as to not freak her out.

"Please, don't lie to me." Hayley tells her and Grace only keeps her eyes down for a moment. "Was it about your dad?" She asks cautiously, knowing her father was the reason she ran away in the first place. Grace sighs, meeting the girls eyes.

"It's not something you need to worry about." Grace assures her as she could deal with the pain from her past. Hayley didn't deserve to carry it aswell.

"Well, what if I want to worry? So, that you don't have to carry this weight around with you." She responds and Grace bites the inside of her cheek, knowing Hayley was just going to keep pushing.

"My dad was a bad man. He would hurt me if I did something wrong." Grace tells her as she rubs her hands against her legs.

"Why?" Hayley asks, still confused on why her father was so abusive in the first place.

"To teach me a lesson. But most of the time, it was just to take out his aggression." She admits as her father usually wanted to tell her to study harder or just to not act like a bitch. But Grace knew he was also an angry man who just liked to take it out on her.

"What would he do?" Hayley asks hesitantly as she crosses her legs, looking a little bit worried. Grace didn't want to scare the young girl, definitely not with the details of her abuse.

"Just hit me. You know, slap me.. sometimes kick me." She lowballs it by a long shot but it got the point across without scarring Hayley. The brunette nods as she glanced at the girls legs that were shown slightly underneath the blanket.

"Is that why you have so many scars?" She questions, not wanting to be rude if Grace didn't want to talk about it. Hayley was just curious since it seemed like the girl had a lot.

"He would cut me but I promise you, it wasn't even that bad." Grace lies with a smile on her face as she shakes her head. Hayley frowns as she furrows her eyebrows. She couldnt imagine her father doing that to her.

"But you're his daughter. He's supposed to love you." Hayley says as she fiddles with her fingers. Grace nods, knowing that the girl had grown up with a happy family. But not all kids had that.

"Not all parents are supposed to be parents, Hayley." She states as most kids weren't even planned. Most of the time it still works out or they are given away. But other times, the parents keep them, even if they don't care about them.

"He could've just put you up for adoption if he never wanted you." Hayley points out as she never understood why parents kept children they didn't want. It was just a toxic environment for everyone and it never turned out good.

"Some people are cruel human beings." Grace admits as she knew her father got off on her pain. He never even cared when she got injured when she was only little. Most times he would either laugh or scream at her.

"He's not a human being." Hayley says as she shakes her head. No human being with a soul, would ever treat someone else like that. "He's a monster." She states as she brings her eyes back to Grace who only nods her head. Her father was a monster. "I'm sorry you had to go through that." She apologizes as tears form in her eyes. Grace shakes her head, grabbing a hold of Hayleys hand.

"But I'm out now, that's what matters." Grace tells her as she didn't want the girl to feel bad for her or to apologize for something that she had no control over. What was done was done, but now she was here with her and her family.

"What if he comes to find you?" She asks, fear laced in her tone as she knew people who were stalked by their families or past lovers.

"Don't worry, I can protect myself now." Grace assures her with a nod. If her father ever came to find her, she knew she had the courage to fight back now. That night she ran away, that's when it had opened and with everyday, her fear for her father was dwindling and the hatred was growing.

"Well, I'll protect you too. I promise you, your secrets safe with me." Hayley tells her as she squeezes her hand, offering a smile which Grace returns. The blonde lifts her finger, brushing it over the girls nose making Hayley laugh as she does the same.

They were safe with each other. Grace would make sure of it.

GRACE LEANT AGAINST ONE OF THE TOMBS, bored out of her mind as it had already reached the next morning. She knew she could leave since the spell sealing them inside only was effective towards the originals. But she didn't want to leave Rebekah and Elijah. Maybe she could even try talking some sense into Klaus. Hopefully he won't try to kill her this time and he has learned his lesson.

"You've been at this for hours. To what end?" Elijah asks as he sighs, rubbing his head before turning to his brother who was just pacing back and forth. "Niklaus, I know you. And I grew up fighting you. I can't be beaten nor can I be persuaded. You cannot get past me." He states firmly and Grace raises her eyebrows. She never knew that Elijah was stronger than Klaus, well, he may not be stronger but it seemed like he won more fights.

"I could get past you, although it might have to be over your dead body." Klaus says as he shrugs his shoulders, pointing the stake at him. "You did stab me with that blade, forcing me to endure hours of unspeakable pain." Klaus points out as he tilts his head making Elijah clench his jaw. "Perhaps I could direct my rage towards you." He states as he holds the stake up in Elijah's direction. Grace rolls her eyes, crossing her arms against her chest.

"Or, you can do it like a normal person and throw stuff around a room." Grace suggests as there really was healthier way to deal with your pain. One that didn't resort to violence, at least to this degree. "Killing your siblings will not make you feel better." She assures him but the man only glares at her harshly.

"Love, this is a family matter so I highly suggest you stay out of it." Klaus threatens lowly and Elijah moves over to step in front of the girl, in a protective stance.

"You should see yourself. The murderous expression, the self-righteous posturing. You look like father." Elijah says and Klaus only scoffs, why must everyone compare him to that monster. What Klaus did was justified, his father hated him since he was born.

"I'm not him. Rebekahs betrayal justifies my anger. His was that of a madman." Klaus retorts as he takes a step closer to his brother. "You were never the recipient of his cruelty. None of you were. Not kol, not finn, none of you!" He shouts and Grace flinches, a frown forming on her lips. Yes, she felt bad for the man. She knew what it was like to be the victim of abuse. But this was not the way to deal with anything. "I think you've forgotten what he was truly like." Klaus finishes, his voice low.

"No. I have not forgotten." Elijah sneers back as he has not forgotten the way that their father had treated Klaus. It was awful and horrendous and should never have happened. But his actions right now, were similar to Mikael's

"What if Hayley had brought your father to New Orleans instead?" Klaus asks as his eyes flicker to Grace who seemed surprised by the question at first. They all knew she was still beyond angry at Hayley for contacting her mother. "Would you be so fast to forgive her?" He raises an eyebrow as he knew just how much she hated her own father. If Hayley decided one day to bring him here, Klaus knew for a fact that she wouldn't ever let that go.

"No." Grace admits as she couldn't lie. It wasn't a mystery that she hated her father and would hate Hayley if she brought him. "I probably never would." She says as she was even going to take a long time to forgive her for what she already did. "But I wouldn't resort to death." She states, nothing Hayley could do, would ever push her to try and kill the woman.

Klaus only rolls his eyes, scoffing lightly before speeding away, Elijah following closely behind. Grace groans as she tilts her head back for a moment. "Seriously, can they not just walk?" She asks herself as she walks over in the direction that they had gone. Luckily, they weren't too far away, otherwise she would just give up and let them hash it out themselves.

"Niklaus, I understand your anger. But, I implore you, be better than him. Do what he could not. Demonstrate the grace of mercy rather than this petty cruelty." Elijah tells his brother as there was a way to be different from Mikael, to not become what he had feared for so many centuries.

"You ask me to show mercy to one who has wronged me?" Klaus asks as he scoffs, shaking his head as a glare settles in his eyes. "You really don't know me at all, do you brother?" He snaps and Elijah just clenches his jaw, taking a step forward. Before he can say anything else, Rebekah steps in.

"Enough." She tells them both as she had gotten sick of the incessant arguing. "Whatever I have done wrong, my guilt is nothing compared to yours. You want revenge?" Rebekah asks him as she stares at her brother who only angrily looks back at her. "Fine, but before you have it, I will look you in the eye and tell you why it was your cruelty and your spite that led us to this." She tells him and Klaus only scoffs, raising his eyebrows as he holds up his hands.

"Well, go on then." He gestures for her to keep speaking, his cheeks hollowing as he swallows. "Speak your piece and when you are finished, I will grant you the punishment that you deserve. Even if I have to go through Elijah to do so." Klaus threatens as he moves his eyes to his brother. Grace could only shake her head, completely done with this bullshit.

He didn't even realize how he sounded, how he was acting. Grace knew he was angry, and yes, Rebekah betrayed him but this was going too far. She was his sister after all. Never forgiving her, Grace could understand. But killing her and going through Elijah to do so? That, grace couldn't just sit by and watch.

"Do you even realize how lucky you are?" Grace pipes up, catching their attention. They turn their heads to the woman who was just glaring at the hybrid. "To have siblings who will literally forgive you for all the treacherous things you do without even thinking twice?" She questions, she knew they had stood by his side for so many years. Maybe they made a few bad decisions but who could blame them by the way Klaus was acting. "To have them fight for you against their father even though Mikael told them he only wanted to kill you? All they have done is love you unconditionally and do whatever you ask, and whenever they even think about having a mind of their own, you dagger them and carter them around in boxes." She explains to him and she could see his jaw clench but he didn't say anything back to her. Elijah glanced at Grace, not knowing if she was crossing a line with his brother so he made sure to keep extra caution towards Klaus incase he made a move.

"You say Rebekah betrayed you and she has, but killing her is not going to do anything." Grace knew that Klaus was mad and wanted vengeance. But his anger now will turn into guilt and hatred for himself If he goes through with killing her. "You wanna know why Rebekah even thought about Mikael? She was in love and desperate." She says as she knew what the power of love could do. Grace loved Hayley so much that she killed for her. She killed the man she loved for her. "Something I guess you have never felt because you're incapable of showing love towards anyone." Her voice was sharp and she didn't mean to come off as harsh but part of her knew that he needed a serious reality check right now.

"You have all these siblings who would risk their lives for you when others are on their own." She states, her being one of the unlucky children fighting for themselves. Klaus really had no idea how lucky he was to have so many siblings. Even if they may not like each other all of the time. "Trust me, I have spent years wishing death upon my parents and for a very long time, I just wished for someone to come and save me. But no one did." Grace explains to him as her hand was placed on her stomach. She felt it twist but ignored it. "I didn't have siblings who would try and protect me from my father, my own mother didn't even do that." Rebekah closes her eyes, glancing away as she wipes at the tears that had fallen from her eyes.

"Now, I know you suffered abuse and torment from your father but you had Elijah fighting for you. Rebekah. And your other siblings." Grace points out as all she has heard is that Klaus had all his siblings to stand up for him. "I had no one." She states as she could only count on herself. There wasn't even any kids that she knew, because her father would never let her have friends. And at school, most people just avoided her anyways. "While I was at school, I would see all of the kids happy and smiling, making plans and embracing the childhood they got to have. I never got to be a child because my innocence was taken from me. Every single day." Grace could see that Klaus was trying to keep his face straight, the anger in his eyes but she could tell it was slipping as he heard her.

"You should be thrilled that you have Rebekah and Elijah." Grace says as she takes a step closer to the hybrid who only clenches his jaw, glancing at the ground. "And yes, you might drive each other crazy and fight and yell. Well, I would've given anything to have what you guys have." She admits as she looks back at Elijah and Rebekah for a moment. She knew they were also just listening to what she has to say but they had expressions of remorse on their faces. "To have siblings to love you and stand by you. And no reason is enough, to kill them without even a second glance." She snaps at Klaus, he was so ready to kill Rebekah without even taking a minute to think about it. "Especially when there just isn't enough, there will never be enough time. And you might think you have forever because you're immortal but you don't. One day, someone will end up dead and you will be devastated." At the end of the day, they were siblings and they spent the better half of a thousand years together. You can't just end that in one singular day, the love you have for one another, wouldn't just fade. "And you all know that. So, I don't care what you are feeling, Klaus. And I don't care if you think killing Rebekah is the only logical answer." She states as she knew Klaus wanted to kill rebekah, that's the whole reason he's been fighting elijah the entire night.

"Will you just please talk and figure it out?" Grace asks them as she glanced around the group. She knew they were siblings and they would fight, but eventually it just got petty. Grace looks back at Klaus, scoffing lightly. "Just figure it the hell out." She snaps at him as she glares at the original. Klaus was only staring back at her, his mouth ajar as he didn't know exactly how to respond. Grace only shakes her head, turning around and walking away from the group, leaving them to talk amongst themselves.
