GRACE WAS STOOD ON HER PATIO, overlooking the streets of New Orleans. The day hadn't started out good, Camille being killed and within transition. She hated that she couldn't do anything about it. Grace wanted to find Lucien and make him pay for what he did. But without the serratura, they were at risk of the prophecy. She just hoped that they could get everything back on track and that the prophecy didn't end up coming true.

She wanted to focus on her wedding and how she should be happy about it. And she was. It was just hard to separate the feelings from everything else that had taken place, and solely feeling good about her wedding. Because she did want to have it. Grace wanted to walk down that aisle and say to Klaus that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. She loved him. Grace just hoped nothing else went wrong.

"You're probably freaking out just about now." She heard a voice from behind her. Grace turned her head, seeing Camille walking outside. She lets out a sigh, nodding her head.

"A little bit." Grace admits, brushing her hair out of her face as she turns to face Camille. "How are you doing?" She asks curiously, running her eyes over the woman. Grace didn't know how much Camille had come to terms with the whole thing yet.

Camille had hesitated for a moment. "I uh.... I completed the transition." She tells the blonde who just stares at her. Camille did look more lively than she did earlier.

"You did." Grace was a bit shocked for a moment. It was Camilles choice, she just hated how she didn't know until now. It had been a few hours since she died, Grace didn't expect Camille to come running and telling her though.

"Yeah."

"Well, I'm gonna be here with you through it all, okay?" Grace assures her, wanting Camille to know that she won't be alone through any of it. Camille nods her head,ย  smile on her lips.

"I know." Camille responds, tilting her head a bit.

"We both are." Davinas voice came from the door. Grace almost froze at the sound of it. It seemed like she had disappeared, but she had been banished from the other witches and the ancestors. So, it made sense why she wasn't around.

"Davina." Grace says with a small relieved sigh, her eyes going soft. Davina walks over to the two women.

"I'm sorry I haven't been around much." Davina apologizes with a small frown, flickering her eyes between the two. Grace instantly shakes her head as she grabs a hold of Davinas hand.

"No, I'm sorry. You've gone through so much and I wasn't there--"

"You had enough problems." Davina admits, not expecting Grace to deal with anything but her own stuff at the moment. "But I'm not leaving you on your wedding day." She denies with a smile, shaking her head. Grace was grateful for both of them, she just wanted them to also know she'd always be there for them.

Grace groans as she makes her way back into her room. "This is actually happening." She mumbles, mostly to herself as she didn't think she'd ever get to this point in her life. Grace was both excited and nervous all in one.

"I still am shocked that you're marrying Klaus of all people but I digress." Davina admits with a small laugh which Grace shares. She was honestly just as shocked.

"If you told me when I first came here, I wouldve never believed you." Grace denies with a smile. Camille rolls her eyes playfully but Klaus was definitely a different person when them two had met.

"Have you seen Klaus?" Camille asks her curiously, wondering if the two had hung around each other a lot today.

"No, we'd say we'd wait to see each other at the ceremony." Grace explains to them, biting her bottom lip. She didn't want Klaus to see her dress for the wedding. She may not really be religious but she felt like it would be bad luck if he did.

"Well, he's gonna die when he sees you in your dress." Davina says, smiling at her.

"Talking about the dress, I need you two ladies to help me get it on." Grace states with a laugh. It was more than a one person task, especially getting the back done up.

"Of course." Davina says with a smile on her face. Grace smiles back at her.

She was glad that her friends were helping her get ready for her wedding. Grace just felt guilty that they were all going through so much. But that didn't seem to stop them from wanting her to get her happy ending. No matter what went through their lives, this one event could at least bring some sort of joy.

FREYA WALKS OVER TO KLAUS WHO WAS FINISHING PUTTING THE TIE ON HIS SUIT. "Of all of us, you're the one to get married first." She starts to say as she crosses her arms against her chest. Klaus turns to look at her, watching the woman stop in front of him. "I don't buy it." Freya teases him, tilting her head a little bit. But it was odd that the first one to get so far as marriage within the whole family, was the one who fought off love the most.

Klaus chuckles, nodding his head slowly.
"Well, sister, I seemed to get the luck of the draw." He admits. Klaus would be lying if he said that he wasn't shocked himself. To have such a beautiful woman like Grace, fall for him and all of his faults that came with it. It was sort of a surprise to everyone.

Freya smiles as she brings klaus in for a hug. "I'm really happy for you." She states, rubbing his back before they pull away from each other.

"You deserve this, Niklaus." Elijah says as he walks up to his siblings. But Klaus's once happy face drops as soon as he sees Elijah.

"Do I?" Klaus questions, narrowing his eyes a little bit. Elijah clenches his jaw a bit, glancing away for a moment.

"Look, what I did was inexcusable. But you have to see the reason why. I was enraged for what you did to Gia." Elijah explains to him but it didn't seem to get anywhere with klaus.

"That still doesn't justify trying to kill her." He denies, crossing his arms against his chest. Elijah stares at the man for a moment.

"Can we not argue? This is supposed to be a gracious day." Elijah points out with a sigh. He knew klaus would still be angry with him, Grace was. But he didn't want it impeding on what was supposed to be a good day for his brother.

Klaus was still debating it in his head, his mind rushing to all of the insane possibilities.ย  "Maybe there was a reason why she kept pushing it." Klaus suggests, biting his tongue as his eyes drift to the floor.

"Okay, you're becoming delusional." Freya mumbles, shaking her head as she steps closer to her brother. "Grace loves you and she only pushed it because of the mess going on about the prophecy." She assures him. Grace would never break his heart, Freya knew that. "If she didn't want to be with you, trust me, she wouldve left you a long time ago." She teases him with a smirk resting on her face.

Klaus nods his head. Freya was right, Grace always spoke what was on her mind. "We still need to keep an eye out for Lucien and Tristan. They're plotting something--"

"I will do that, Niklaus." Elijah assures him. Not needing him to go off and be so filled with vengeance that he forgets to show up for the wedding. "All you have to be worried about today, is getting married." He tells him, placing his hand on Klaus's shoulder.

That shouldn't be hard for Klaus. He didn't care about who was there, or what the wedding looked like. All he wanted was Grace, and to have her be his forever. Not that they had to he married. They were in love with each other and he knew they'd never stray from one another. Because he trusted her when she said she would never leave him.

And he would be a fool to ever leave her.

STANDING IN FRONT OF THE MIRROR, Grace looked at herself in her long, white wedding dress. Her hair wasnt styled yet and she hadnt done her makeup, but she was still shocked that she was even in the dress. Davina was beaming beside her as she tilted her head. "You look so beautiful." She says, her hands on Grace's arm. Grace smiles brightly, turning her head to both Davina and Camille. Jenna and Hanna had joined them as well.

"You really do, Grace." Camille agrees with a nod, smiling at Grace. Grace groans, bringing her hands up to her face and covering it.

"I can't believe this is really happening." She admits. It's one thing to think about your wedding happening, it's another to actually experience.

"Believe it." Davina says, squeezing her hand. "He is gonna drop to his knees when he sees you." She tells the blonde. If Klaus didn't, then there was something seriously wrong with him.

"Stop." Grace responds with a roll of her eyes, scrunching up her nose a bit.

"Seriously, if Klaus doesn't immediately cry when he sees you, I'm dragging your ass back down the aisle." Jenna tells her, placing her hands on her hips. Grace laughs as she didn't doubt it.

"My brother would be a fool if he doesn't fall in love all over again." Rebekahs voice came from behind her causing her to have to do a double take. Grace was half believing that she wasnt really here. "Then again, he's made some pretty stupid decisions over the centuries." She jokes with a smirk as she walks into the room.

"Rebekah." Grace says, honestly glad to see the woman. Rebekah walks over, pulling her into a hug which Grace returns immediately.

"I thought you were staying away so that Lucien and Tristan didn't find out you were found?" Hanna asks curiously, furrowing her eyebrows.

"I couldn't miss this, now could I?" Rebekah retorts, pulling away from Grace and raising an eyebrow at the group. Grace was still a bit reluctant though, not wanting to put Rebekah in harms way.

"Are you sure it's okay for you to be here?" Grace questions, a clear look of worry on her face.

"Nik made sure of it." Rebekah assures her with a smile. She would have to be actually dead to miss this. "You look stunning, Grace." She says, running her eyes along Grace for a minute and admiring her in her dress. Grace smiles back at her, tilting her head.

"Thank you."

"We're placing bets on how Klaus reacts." Jenna states with a smirk on her lips. Grace just narrows her eyes, pointing her finger directly in the woman's direction.

"No, you are not." Grace denies. Jenna rolls her eyes, crossing her arms against her chest. That wasn't going to stop them from doing it though.

Rebekah glances around the room for a second. "Where's Hayley?" She asks curiously. Not meaning to start anything, she was just wondering. Even though she shouldn't have even bothered to ask since Hayley hadn't really gotten Grace to forgive her yet.

Grace was hesitant, a small frown forming. "She's-" She goes to answer but was cut off.

"Clearly not invited." Hanna finishes for her, a bit of a salty attitude in her tone and on her face. Grace sighs, moving her eyes to the teenager.

"Hanna."

"What? It's true." Hanna mumbles with a shrug of her shoulders. If anyone in this room actually liked Hayley, that would be the miracle.

"I just want my wedding day to be mine, okay? No drama." Grace admits, biting the inside of her cheek. She didn't want to think of anything other than getting married. Grace didn't need anything happening, especially having to do with Hayley.

"There's always some sort of mikaelson drama so you won't exactly be safe." Rebekah teases her with a slight wink. Grace rolls her eyes playfully but a laugh escapes her lips.

She knew Hayley wouldn't start anything today. Tomorrow? Maybe. Grace knew the woman would just keep pushing until she finally allowed her back into her life. But Grace wasn't just going to go easy on her this time. Not after forgiving her so fast the last time she did something stupid.

Because Grace knew life was short, and it's too short to waste it on people who will only hurt you in the long run.

HAYLEY LURKED AROUND THE COURTYARD, watching as a few final touches were added. She wanted to feel happy, she wanted to be estatic that Grace was getting married. But her mind would just go to the fact that Grace hadn't really wanted her here. She only Invited her out of pity and that's what she hated. Hayley and Grace had planned to be each other's maid of honors. Grace had been hers but Hayley now couldn't return it.

Because she chose Elijah. Because she defended him when she shouldve been with Grace. It seemed boys were the root of their downfall. Hayley just hoped to one day make her way back onto Grace's good side. However long it takes. That's if Klaus didn't whisper anything in Grace's ear to stop it. Hayley didn't mind Klaus marrying her, she just still had her issues with the man.

Her eyes suddenly stop on someone who she didn't really expect to be at the wedding. More so because Hayley didn't particularly want to see her there. "Aurora, what are you doing here?" She asks, crossing her arms against her chest as she somewhat glares at the redhead.

Aurora only smirks, seemingly feeling elated by the opportunity to speak to her. "I was invited. Were you?" Aurora retorts her,ย  placing a hand on her hip. Hayley clenches her jaw, clearly pissed by her comment.

"You may fool Grace and the others, but I see you for what you truly are." Hayley admits, taking a step closer to Aurora. She didn't believe this act that the redhead was putting on. And she wouldn't be surprised if she had turned on all of them within the day. Aurora couldn't help but laugh, not feeling threatened whatsoever.

"Which is what, Hayley?" Aurora asks her, tilting her head as she smiles at the woman. "Because from how I look at it. You're the only one who's hurt and betrayed them." She points out, smirking when she sees that Hayley seemed taken aback by what she had said.

Hayley brings her eyes down to the ground for a moment. She didn't even know how to respond to it, which is why she is kind of relieved that Aurora had walked away from her. It wasn't like Hayley planned on hurting them, she just wanted to take the best chance of protecting Hope. She thought they would understand that.

A sigh leaves her lips as her gaze lifts up. She almost completely freezes when she sees a very familiar man in front of her. Hayley furrows her eyebrows, staring at him. She wasn't sure if her mind was playing tricks on her, if she was imagining it. Or if he was really there. Hayley could swear she saw a small smirk form on his lips.

But just as fast as he was there, he was gone. Hayley blinks a few times, glancing around the room. He was nowhere to be soon. Maybe she had just imagined it. Because why would he be there after all this time? And he was gone in an instant. She wouldn't really be shocked if she had made him up. So, Hayley decided to just leave it.

Aurora walks over to Klaus who was stood nearer to where the ceremony would take place. "Nik, you look dashing as usual." She compliments as she stops near him. Klaus just turns his head to her, not exactly pleased with her, narrowing his eyes a bit.

"Aurora." His voice definitely showed a bit of resentment and his face did give off the impression that he still wasn't particularly happy to see her.

"Not still mad about our little squabble, are you?" Aurora asks in a teasing tone, smirking as she tilts her head. Klaus just scoffs as he rolls his eyes a little bit.

"You mean where you pretended to kidnap my fiance?" Klaus questions, raising an eyebrow at her. Aurora shrugs her shoulders, waving her hand as a huff of air leaves her lips.

"Water under the bridge." She responds. Klaus just stares at her for a minute before walking past her. Aurora pursed her lips, glancing around the room. She saw another original stood not too far away from her with a few others. "Rebekah, how's the land of the living?" Aurora asks as she makes her way over to the blonde.

It didn't seem like Rebekah was all too pleased to see her either. But the originals would need to warm up to her a bit after their past. "It would be better without this damn mark on my arm." She grumbles with a sigh, trying to cover it with the shawl she had placed over her dress. Aurora glances down at the mark.

"You haven't figured out a way to get it off?" Aurora asks, furrowing her eyebrows. She wondered if maybe Tristan would have the answer, not that he'd tell her anyways.

Rebekahs gaze was slightly annoyed as she stared at the redhead. "Don't you think I would be fine if I had?" She retorts in a bit of a snappy tone. Aurora presses her lips together tightly.

"I'll figure it out, Rebekah." Davina assures her. It would be a bit tricky but she wouldn't allow Rebekah to go mad because of the mark.

"No, focus on Kol." Rebekah denies, shaking her head. She didn't want to take anymore attention off of their brother who shouldve been resurrected by now.

"I can do both." Davina tells her, hesitating for a moment. "Well, it'll be harder without the ancestors, but I'll manage." She says, she would have to come up with a way to do it without the ancestors help.

"I can ask Jenna." Rebekah suggests. At least Jenna still had access to others who came before her. It may not be the new Orleans witches, but they may be just as powerful.

"We'll work on it together okay?" Davina says, squeezing Rebekahs hand. Although they both knew Rebekah had to be daggered soon after the wedding until they found a cure for the mark on her arm.

"Does she have to be here?" They hear Hanna mumble from beside them. They all look in the direction that she was, seeing that Hanna was referring to Hayley who was stood next to Jackson.

"I like her." Aurora admits with a smirk playing on her lips. Hanna meets her gaze, immediately smiling.

"I like you too." Hanna responds, tilting her head. She was a bit skeptical of aurora at first, but because Grace was clearly okay with her, she would be too. "But seriously, no one actually wants her here." She points out, disgruntled as she looks down at the floor. Hanna noticed the look that Camille was giving her.

"It's a day of celebration, so play nice." She says, knowing Grace said she didn't want any drama. Hanna just lets out a sigh, crossing her arms.

"If you say so." Hanna mumbles, a bit annoyed.

"Who's with Grace?" Aurora wonders since they seemed to be all here instead of with her.

"Jenna is helping her with the finishing touches." Camille answers the redhead. Aurora nods her head as her eyes go to the hallway.

Jenna brought the last clip into Grace's hair before bringing her hands back. A bright smile forms on her face as she looks at Grace in the mirror. "You are so ready for this, babe." She admits, moving over a bit so she could actually see Grace. Grace met Jenna's gaze, her heart warming as she reaches out to grab her hand.

"Jenna." She says and the girl just smiles at her. "I'm so glad you're my best friend." Grace states as she tilts her head. Jenna smiles back at her, squeezing her hand.

"Well, obviously honey, I'm the best." She teases with a slight wink and Grace just rolls her eyes playfully. "I'll let them know you're ready?" Jenna asks her and Grace nods her head. As Jenna makes her way to the door, Grace goes to grab her bracelet, adding the final touch to her look.

Hearing the door reopen, she furrows her eyebrows. "Did you forget something--" Grace is cut short when she feels a sharp pain to her abdomen. She gasps as she looks down, seeing a knife had been stabbed into her. Grace brings her hands to the wound as the knife was pulled out.

Dropping to the floor, Grace groans as she tried to stop the blood, squeezing her eyes shut for a moment. When they reopen, her gaze was met with the one person who she thought was dead until recently. The man who she thought she saw in town. The man who had been her very first love. Dylan Thornhill.

"I was gonna wait for the ceremony, be all poetic. But wouldn't it would be nice if you just died alone like I did?" Dylan says, mainly asking himself as he looks at the knife for a moment that was covered in blood. Grace winces as she holds her stomach.

"This isn't possible." She denied, shaking her head, her voice strained a bit. Dylan could only stare down at her, not knowing if she was serious or not.

"Isn't possible? You live in a city where vampires, werewolves, witches roam around. You're marrying a damn original for God's sake." Dylan points out with a scoff, rolling his eyes a little. "And me being alive is suddenly impossible?" He asks. Grace noticed the way his eyes shifted. He was a vampire.

"What are you doing here?" Grace asks, cutting right to the point. Although, she knew he was most likely there to kill her, given the fact that he had already stabbed her.

"Ruining your big day, isn't it obvious?" He retorts with a laugh, looking over her wedding dress for a moment. Grace narrows her eyes.

"I can scream and he'd be here in a second." Grace points out, knowing Klaus would hear her and come running. Dylan didn't seem affected by her little threat though.

"And I could snap your neck instantly." He tells her. Dylan could just skip his explanation and kill her if she really was going to scream. Grace bites the inside of her cheek, her eyes moving to the floor. She saw the blood that was already staining the wood.

"I've waited for this opportunity for years." Dylan admits as he paced back and forth. "Luckily your mom told me where to find you." He says with a small smirk. Of course she did. Grace should have known to take it more seriously. To realize he was really back. "Real nice lady. Did you know that compulsion really comes in handy when you want to torture someone? Or say, trigger someone's werewolf curse." He knew he was testing her every last nerve. Especially admitting to being the one behind the attack.

"Hanna." Grace responds, trailing off for a second. She shakes her head, closing her eyes for a moment. "She has nothing to do with this." She denies. No one else deserved to be hurt but her. Dylan shouldve come straight for her.

"She has everything to do with this." Dylan responds with a scoff making Grace glare toward him. "Because you care about her." He points out, tilting his head. It made Grace's eyes fill with guilt instantly. Hanna had been turned because of her. "A real nice life you've created for yourself, huh?" He asks her, glancing around the room.

"I never did anything to you." Grace denies. She had only ever defended herself against him. What he did, what he caused her to do was not her fault. Of course his diseased mind wouldn't ever think of that.

"You killed me." Dylan states a bit harshly as he points the knife at her. Grace clenches her jaw a little bit.

"You deserved it." She admits, not allowing him to see one ounce of fear. Dylan takes another step toward her, hovering over her.

"Well, maybe this is just karma in its most potent form." He suggests as he shrugs his shoulders. "And I am really going to enjoy watching the life leave your eyes." Dylan tells her, a sinister look in his eyes. Grace just spits the blood that was in her mouth toward him.

"Fuck you." Grace snaps at him. Why did everything from her past have to come back to bite her in the ass.

"Sorry about your wedding dress. I know how devastated you must be." Dylan taunts her, tilting his head a bit. Grace was just annoyed by how much he was dragging it on.

"If you're gonna kill me then just do it." She tells him with a scoff leaving her lips.

"You see, but killing you... it's not enough." Dylan denies, pointing the knife at her and she just looks toward it. "I want you to suffer, to really know what it was like to be buried in a ground and have to suffer like that." He explains to her. Grace rolls her eyes, really not wanting to solve his little riddles.

"So, what? You're gonna bury me alive?" Grace asks, wincing at the pain that shot through her. She was still bleeding out, but he just wanted to drag it out.

"No." Dylan replies, shaking his head as he bends down toward her, tilting her chin up with his finger. "But I will turn you into something that will make you suffer the consequences of your own actions." He tells her and for a moment, she didn't know what he meant. Until she saw his eyes change. "The one thing you despise." Before she had anytime to do anything, he had bit into his wrist and forced it into her mouth.

Grace fights against him, but her strength was already diminished from when he had stabbed her. She felt another sharp pierce, only this time in her chest. Grace stops fighting, feeling the knife withdraw from her. Her hand tried to cover the wound, but she knew it wouldn't help. "Have a nice sleep." Dylan says with a smirk playing on his lips.

Grace tried to scream out, she tried to call for Klaus. But the only things that left her lips were short gasps as her hand clutched her chest. Dylan let her drop to the ground, her body not really being able to move with all the blood that was spilling out. This couldn't really be how it ended for her.

But it wouldn't be. Because she knew she would come back. She would be in transition. And that would be what would ultimately kill her. Seeing everyone so relieved that she was alive, only for them to realize that this isn't what she wanted. Klaus knew. He knew she never wanted to turn and he accepted that. Well,ย  accepting it metaphorically and when it actually happened were two different things

Klaus walks back over to Jenna who had informed him a few minutes prior that Grace was ready for the ceremony. But given that the woman hadnt shown yet, he was sensing something was wrong. "I thought you said she was ready?" He asks the blonde with a frustrated sigh. Hayley glances toward them, hearing them.

"She was." Jenna responds, furrowing her eyebrows as she glances around for a moment. She didn't get why Grace hadn't come out.

"Then where is she?" Klaus questions.

Hayley makes her way toward the room where Grace had been getting ready. She stops herself when she notices something underneath the door. A liquid. Something red. Her senses heightened and her eyes went wide when she realizes what it was. Blood.
"No..." She rushes toward the door, quickly opening.

She didn't think she would have ever been prepared for what she saw. Hayley never even imagined that this would be how she lost the woman. Especially not on the day that was supposed to bring the most happiness into the air. Instead, it brought pain and something that no one ever wanted to have to experience. Grief.

Hayley stared at the woman laying on the floor. She was partially on the ground, her arm reached out as the blood pooled around her. "Grace?" She moves quickly to her, grabbing her into her arms and instantly getting covered in the warm substance. "Grace, please wake--" Hayley stops herself, her breath halting as the tears brewed.

When she had turned Grace's head toward her, her eyes were open. Her lifeless eyes just staring back at her. Hayley could feel her breathing quicken as she shakes her head. "No, no, no." She denies, not wanting to believe it. But she couldn't hear a heartbeat, the woman had lost most of the blood in her body. "This can't be happening." Hayley's voice cracked, being filled with nothing but pain.

Maybe if she hadn't been fighting with her, she wouldve been in the room. She could've protected her. She could've saved her. Hayley should've been paying more attention but she wasn't. Grace was laying in her arms, her blood covering Hayleys dress, staining it as her eyes pierced open. Hayley held the woman who was practically her sister, dead in her arms. She wasn't even dying. She was already dead. And she had died alone.

Standing next to Klaus, Davina could see that Klaus sensed something, his face hardening. "What is it?" She asks him, wondering what was going on. The others looked at him as well.

"Blood." Klaus states firmly, his jaw clenching. "I smell blood." He mutters, walking quickly down the hall and heading to where Grace should be. The others followed closely behind, everyone now worried about what could've happened.

But as he gets closer to the room, he felt his stomach drop and his heart tighten. The blood was coming from that room. The room where Grace was supposed to be. The moment he pushed the door open, he was met by the sight of Hayley and Grace. But his eyes were more set on the blood covering her and how Grace was laid in her arms.

Hayley looks up, seeing the man. She was physically shaking as she tried to control herself. But everytime she looked down at Grace, she broke into tears again. "I-i don't know... I don't know what happened." She admits, shaking her head as Klaus stands above her. He was just staring at them for a moment, his mind not really allowing himself to process what he was seeing. "She's just--" Hayley stops herself, squeezing her eyes shut.

The door opens more, Jenna coming inside with Elijah and Rebekah. She instantly stops in her step when she sees grace. "Oh my God." She gasps, bringing her hand up to cover her mouth. Jenna has stepped away for two seconds. Two seconds and this was the result.

Aurora peeked her head inside, hearing footsteps behind her. She turns around, blocking the view from anyone elses sight. Aurora saw Camille who was followed by Hanna. "No, keep Hanna out, okay?" She tells her, her eyes pleading with Camille. The blonde could already put things together, mostly because of the smell of blood.

"What's going on?" Hanna asks confused watching as Camille just walked back over to her, shaking her head.

In the room, Rebekah placed her hand on her brothers shoulder. She didn't know what she could do to console him as she saw the tears well up in his eyes, the obvious shock wearing down and nothing more than pain appearing on his face. "Nik.. i-i am so so sorry." She apologizes, her voice shaky. Rebekah tried to control it, but seeing Grace like this was hard for everyone.

Klaus knelt to the ground next to Hayley. The woman didn't even hesitate to let him hold onto her. Klaus moves his hand, brushing Grace's hair out of her face. Hayley had shut Grace's eyes so at least he didn't have to see her just lifelessly staring up at him. Klaus shook his head, his pain replacing with anger as all the possibilities shook his body.

"Who would do this to her?" He asks, his voice barely audible. No one knew. They obviously had their suspicions but right now, it was a mystery. Klaus brings his eyes up for a second, placing his gaze directly on Elijah who had been silent the whole time. "Elijah." Klaus demands, clearly wanting him to investigate her death.

Elijah had just stood there for a second. He had never wanted this to happen. He might have been pissed at his brother, he mightve attacked Grace a few months ago, but he never wanted to woman dead. He never wanted to be the reason why his brother lost the happiness he had worked so hard to get. He didn't know who would do this, but he would certainly find out.

"I'll find out, brother. I promise you." Elijah assures him, nodding his head. But Klaus didn't respond, just moving his eyes back down. Elijah left the room, mainly because he didn't want to see herย  like that.

Klaus could only stare down at Grace's body, his emotions running rapid. But at the same time, he felt so numb. He was stupid to believe that he could get this. Get a wife who loved him, live happily with her. It was a fantasy that he delved in but he should've knew that something like this would happen. That someone would want to ruin this for him.

He had made a lot of enemies in his days, but none had been Grace's responsibility.ย  The possibility that something that he did, caused this to happen to her made his heart break. Because he couldn't be responsible for her death. Klaus couldn't live with himself if that's what had happened. If he caused her to stay in New Orleans, to start a relationship to him, to love him, all for this to be the result?

Then maybe he was right about love, and that all it brought you was complete and utter misery.
