GRACE WAS SHOVING HER CLOTHES INTO HER BAG, practically taking out her aggression on them. If anyone got in her business on the way to the airport, she would surely punch them. She just felt so angry and hurt, she didn't know how to handle it. Grace never felt this pain since Dylan and again, it was from a person who she trusted.
She hears her door open and she only rolls her eyes, keeping her gaze on the bag in front of her. "If you came to talk me out of leaving, save your breath." Grace tells whoever it was, not caring since she was going to leave anyways, no matter what they said to her.
"So, this is really goodbye?" Klaus asks as he takes a few steps towards her. Grace glances over, meeting his eyes for a moment before sighing.
"Oh, please. Don't act like you'll miss me." Grace replies as she brushes her hair out of her face. Klaus glances at the ground, his jaw clenched.
"You said you had nothing keeping you here. Not even one person." He speaks up as he walks over to her, standing next to the girl. Grace only shrugs her shoulders, its not like many people actually cared about her in this city.
"Rebekah will get over it." She admits and Klaus only crosses his arms against his chest.
"What about Camille?" Klaus asks and Grace sighs, she knew the bartender needed someone here, someone she could trust. But Grace knew that Camille's life would probably be better without her anyways.
"If you put her in harm's way, I will make sure you can never hurt anyone ever again." Grace threatens him but he could see the smirk on her lips. He only rolls his eyes playfully.
"You can't do that from New York." He points out and she only raises an eyebrow.
"I have my ways." She teases with a laugh as she looks at the man but Klaus only stares, not really in the mood for jokes.
"Love." His voice was more serious which made her smirk slowly disappear. "Don't make any rash decisions." He tells her as he mainly just didn't want her to leave.
"Are you seriously going to defend Hayley? After everything I told you last night." Grace says as she had been vulnerable around him and now it seemed that he might not even be on her side. But Klaus just shakes his head, moving to stand beside her.
"No. But I think you should stay." Klaus tells her and Grace only sighs, turning back to her bag as she continues to pack clothes into it.
"I have to prep for my trial anyways, so I guess this all worked out." She muttered as she still had her trial coming up, she just had to focus on finding the murder weapon, not dealing with all of this supernatural crap.
"I know you're upset with Hayley." Klaus says as he grabs a hold of the bag, pulling it out of her hold making her glare at him. "But please, don't go." He states and she only sighs, rolling her eyes.
"What do you care if I go or not, Klaus?" Grace asks, shaking her head as she clenches her jaw. "Seriously, I doubt you'll even think of me when I'm gone." She says as she looks down at her bed. Klaus only frowns, biting his tongue.
Truthfully, he did care and he would probably think of her way more than he should. He couldnt help it, it was more of his subconscious pushing her into his mind.
"One week." Klaus says suddenly making her look at him again, looking a little bit confused. "That's all I ask for." He tells her as he lets a sigh leave his lips. "One week and then if you still want to go. Go." Klaus states as it gave him a week to make up a ton of reasons why she should stay. Grace turns her body to him, placing her hand on her hip.
"One week?" She asks as she squints her eyes at him. Klaus nods his head as he gazes down at her.
"One week." He states and she only thinks to herself for a moment. Grace did want to go back to New York because she missed it but she also grew attached to this place even though it's only been a short time. Maybe it was more the people than the actual city.
"Fine, but you're telling my best friend that you're the reason I'm still not coming home." Grace says as she nods her head, taking out her phone. If anyone was telling Jenna that she was going to be a little longer after Grace just told her that she was coming back, it was not going to be her.
"I can handle a conversation, love." Klaus responds with humour in his eyes as a smirk forms on his lips. Grace only presses her lips together tightly as she puts the phone in his hands.
"You think I'm bad? Ten seconds into that phone call and she will call you things that you have never even heard of." She tells him and Klaus just stared at her before looking down at the phone.
"Seriously?" He asks and grace only laughs, nodding as she patts him on the shoulder. Grace backs up, pulling the box of cigarettes from her pocket.
"Oh, I'm not joking." Grace says which makes Klaus' amusement fade as he was only now confused. "Her name's Jenna." She says with a wink as she puts the cigarette between her lips. Klaus only furrows his eyebrows as he watches the girl smirk and walk out onto the balcony.

SITTING AT THE BAR IN ROUSSEAU'S, Grace drank from her glass as she just needed to be away from the compound for a little bit. She just needed to wrap her head around what she had learned. She did decide to stay the week, she wasnt just going to lie to Klaus. Grace was going to give it one week and if she truly didn't see a reason to stay, she wouldn't.
She really didn't understand why Klaus cared so much if she stayed. It wasn't like he would miss her, they were barely even friends. But Grace felt a small sense of joy when he asked her to, because it made her feel wanted. And she needed that, especially after what Hayley had just done.
"Grace?" She hears her name being called out. Grace turns her head, seeing a young girl walking over to her. She definitely did not look old enough to be in a bar, that much she could tell.
"I'm sorry, do I know you?" Grace asks confused as she didn't think she recognized the girl. The girl fiddles with her fingers as she stops next to her.
"I'm Hanna, Hanna Jacobs." She introduced herself and Grace only nods her head but just continues to stare blankly back at her. "Shit, no you don't know me." Hanna tells her as she shakes her head before meeting her eyes. "But I know Ann, your mom." Hanna states and Grace immediately turns her head away from the young girl, letting out a scoff a she picks up her glass.
"If she sent you here to pay me off to not say anything, I think I would've already by now." Grace says as she was a lawyer, if she wanted to press charges she would have. Even though she didnt have any evidence to do that anyways which was the main reason.
"What? No." Hanna replies with a confused look on her face before she takes a deep breath. "I'm her stepdaughter." She says, a small smile on her face. Grace just slowly meets the girls eyes, looking over her features.
"You're her stepdaughter?" Grace asks and the girl only nods her head. She was confused on how this happened but she knew that her mother must of left her dad too. She probably didn't want to be the victim of abuse again since grace took herself out of the picture.
"She married my dad three years ago." Hanna says and Grace clenches her jaw, nodding her head.
"What happened to Robert?" Grace questions, wondering if they even knew about the man or if her mother had gotten into the relationship as a liar. It would be easy for her to play that part.
"Oh, she left that piece of trash like eight years ago." Hanna replies with a laugh and Grace just freezes for a moment. It wasn't hard for her to do the math. Mainly because she had counted every day since she left home.
Her mother had left her father around the same time that she did. She did it for herself and yet she didn't try to leave Robert one single time within the fifteen years Grace was her daughter. Grace was her daughter and she never tried. Was she just not worth it?
"Convenient timing." Grace mutters as she shakes her head, taking a drink from her glass. She glanced at the girl who was just staring at her. "Look, Sarah-" She starts to say but is cut off.
"Hanna." The girl corrects making Grace roll her eyes as she turns to face the blonde.
"Whatever." She didnt really care to learn the girls name since she wasn't really expecting to keep her around. "If you came here to get me to talk to my mom, just tell her that no excuse in the world will ever make me forgive her. And in fact, she is not my mom, she's just the woman who gave birth to me." Grace explains to her with hostility in her tone. Hanna knew what Ann did, it was one of the first things she ever told her dad when they started to date.
"She knows she made a mistake, Grace." Hanna says as she knew Ann was trying to make up for it desperately. She knew she was a coward for allowing her child to be a victim of Robert.ย "She's been searching for you for eight years." She states and Grace didn't believe that for a second.
"Probably to send me back to my father so he'd have his little toy back." Grace retorts, anger in her tone as her mother never cared before, why would she care once she had run away?
"I know you don't know me. But I know Ann, she's a good person." Hanna tells her and Grace can't help but laugh at that. Her mother being called a good person, she never thought she would ever hear those words come out of someone's mouth.
"Oh, my god. She's truly gotten in your head." Grace says as she shakes her head, bringing her glass to her lips. Hanna only crosses her arms against her chest, scoffing lightly.
"I can think for myself. I'm fifteen." She states and Grace tenses for a moment. Of course she was fifteen. Of course the step daughter was the same age she was when she ran away.
"And maybe you'll make the smart decision to get out quick, before she ruins your life too." Grace mumbles as she moves her eyes to the glass in her hand. Hanna taps her finger against the bar, a small sigh leaving her lips
"When I learned you existed, I was so excited at the thought of possibly having a sister." Hanna admits with a small smile, she has never had siblings so when Ann told her that she had a daughter, Hanna immediately wanted to meet her.
"You're not my sister. You will never be my sister. You're just the step daughter of my excuse of a mother." Grace tells her and Hanna only frowns as she glanced down at her hands. "Now, if you'll excuse me. I have somewhere to be." She snaps as she gets up from the seat, grabbing her bag and pushing her way past Hanna. She couldnt care less about what the girl wanted or if she thought for some strange reason that she could come here and be sisters. Grace learned her lesson from Hayley, and anyone associated with her mother was most likely bad news.
Grace did not need more people in her life that would just betray her. She didnt care if the girl was a teenager, whoever married her mother was definitely not right in the head.

GRACE HAD MADE IT BACK TO THE COMPOUND, wanting desperately to just jump off of the balcony right now. But she settled for talking to Klaus since he seems to understand her. Plus, he was the only one she could really talk to about this right now since Hayley wasn't on her list of people to talk to. She heads up the stairs, sighing as she hadn't seen anymore since she first step foot on the grounds.
"Klaus, are you here?" Grace calls out loudly as she pokes her head into his bedroom but the room was empty. She furrows her eyebrows as she moves over to the balcony, looking over the railing. "Klaus?" She asks, hoping that he was here but she had gotten no response. It seemed that the compound was completely deserted. Grace takes out her phone, pressing his contact that he had put into the phone without her permission.
Grace taps her foot onto the ground as she lifts her phone to her ear. "Please, pick up." She mumbles as she closes her eyes for a moment. But there was only the ring tone of an unanswered call making her groan and let her arm drop. Grace glances around again, clenching her jaw. "Rebekah?" She calls out, maybe the blonde original was around but again, she got no response. "Anyone?" Grace tilts her head back in annoyance before bringing her phone up again and calling Elijah. He was the last resort.
It took a few rings but the call went through. "Hello?" Elijahs voice comes through the phone and Grace held her hand up high before letting out a relieved sigh.
"Elijah, thank god you picked up." She says as she leans against the railing, running a hand through her hair. "I can't find Klaus or Rebekah anywhere." Grace tells him and she could hear Elijah sigh, telling her that he already knew.
"That's because the witches have taken them." Elijah answers her which makes Grace's eyes go wide as she least expected that answer. How did the witches even get a hold of them?
"What?" She asks.
"I'm going to get them back, I promise." Elijah assures her as he would stop at nothing to get his siblings back.
"Where are you Elijah?" Grace questions as she wanted to help look for them, she knew they would do the same for her.
"No, stay at the compound. It's not safe." Elijah denies, not about to let her be put in danger. He didnt trust Celeste, especially when it came to seemingly wanting to keep Grace safe.
"Elijah, I want to help." Grace says as she crosses her arms against her chest. Elijah shakes his head, knowing that it wasnt a good idea.
"Grace, please." He rubs his face, not needing to spend the time arguing with her.
"I can't just sit around with what's been going on, I need to do something to get my mind off of everything." Grace explains to him as if she stayed at the compound, one of two things would happen. She would make all the possible scenarios in her head which would come out of her mother being here. Or Hayley would find her and Grace would most likely punch her in the face.
"Did something happen?" Elijah asks, his tone turning serious as he was ready to speed back to the compound.
"I met my step sister apparently." Grace replies to him with a sigh. Elijah furrows his eyebrows, not really understanding since he knew little about her past, but it was clear that Grace didn't want to meet her.
"And I'm assuming that didn't go well?" Elijah asks her and Grace leans against the wall, holding the phone to her head as she bites the inside of her cheek.
"You assume right." She tells him and Elijah was silent for a moment, trying to decide whether or not to tell her where he was.
"I'm sorry, but I can't have you in danger too." Elijah says as he didn't need to have someone else to watch out for. "I'll call you when I find them." He tells her, not even giving her time to respond before hanging up. Grace groans as she looks at her phone before letting out a long sigh. Grace glances around before she squints her eyes.
"Sorry, Elijah but that isn't gonna work for me." She mutters before heading to her room so she could find where he was. She may not be a witch who could do a locator spell.
But Grace did know how to track a phone.

ELIJAH WAS STANDING OUTSIDE THE CEMETERY, wanting to speak with Monique because she may be able to tell him where his siblings were. He was ready to take a step when someone grabs a hold of his shoulder. He spins around, about to put his hand around their throat until he sees it was Grace. He lets out a sigh, clenching his jaw as he glanced around for a moment before letting his eyes rest on her.
"Grace." He says, anger in his tone as he knew the girl would go against his words of advice. But he really just needed her to be safe. "I told you to stay put." Elijah tells her and she only crosses her arms against her chest.
"I also said I'd stay another week for Klaus and I'm not going to just sit back and let Rebekah and him suffer." Grace replies as she had promised Klaus she would stay. And now he was taken and with their mutual alliance, she knew she had to at least try and save him. That way they could be even for Klaus blocking her from those bullets a few days ago.
"Fine, but you stay by my side."ย Elijah says firmly as he stares down at her. Grace only smirks as she raises her eyebrows at him.
"You think I can't handle some crazy witches?" Grace asks and she could tell that Elijah was not in the mood for her little jokes right now.
"Grace." His voice was sharp now and she could see slight impatience in his eyes. "Do as I say." Elijah states and Grace sighs, knowing she wasn't going to get far with the original.
"Okay." She says with a nod and Elijah only returns it before he looks back at the cemetery. "Why are we here?" Grace asks as she was curious to know why Elijah was wanting to be at this particular location.
"Paying someone a visit." He says and Grace raises an eyebrow as she follows him inside. She saw the group of people standing in front of her and when she glanced at Elijah, the man wasn't next to her.
Elijah suddenly throws one witch against the tomb before appearing in front of another two, elbowing them in the throats. Grace rushed over to the scene where all the witches and moved behind Monique. Elijah just fixes the cuffs of his sleeves before his eyes settle on Monique.
"My siblings have been taken. Where are they?" Elijah asks as he raises an eyebrow at the witch who only sighs, squinting her eyes at him.
"You're interrupting my aunt Sophies consecration." Monique replies as she gestures to the grave. Both of them glance over, only to see that Sophies name had been placed in the stone. Grace's eyes widen as she realized that meant Sophie was dead.
"How did this happen?" Elijah questions as he brings his eyes back to Monique who only shrugs her shoulders, a small smirk on her face.
"Aunt Sophie was a casualty of war." She responds and Elijah just furrows his eyebrows. Monique moves her eyes to Grace. "You will be too since you didn't heed Celeste's warning." Monique says and Grace only rolls her eyes, letting out a scoff as she crosses her arms against her chest.
"I don't tend to listen to psycho witches." Grace retorts and she could see that struck a nerve with Monique. But Elijah only interrupts their little spurt.
"Monique, I recommend you give me what I want. Unless, of course, you'd like me to level this place and everything in it." Elijah threatens as he takes a closer step to them.
"That won't be necessary." Monique responds as she squints her eyes at the original. "I have a message for you. From Celeste." She says before lifting her hand, tilting her head slightly up as she performs a spell on him.
Elijah pulls down the collar of his shirt, almost as if he was feeling hot. Grace glances at him before seeing the name Theresa had formed on his collarbone. Her eyes widen as she watches Elijah pull up the sleeve of his shirt, revealing Sabine Laurant.
"To findย what you're looking for. Follow the path that she left behind." Monique tells him before her and the other witches walk away from them. Grace turns to Elijah who was just staring at Sabines name.
"So, what are we gonna do." Grace asks curiously as she didnt really know what exactly Monique did but she knew it was a hint to get Klaus and Rebekah back.
"The witches can take down originals, Grace." Elijah says, hesitantly as he stares down at her and Grace only sighs, placing a hand on her hip.
"If you tell me that you are rethinking letting me come, you don't have a choice." She tells him with a smirk on her face and Elijah only sighs, clenching his jaw. Her eyes move to his exposed chest, tilting her head. "I think I like this look." Grace says as she places her finger on his exposed skin. "You should keep it." She tells him before trailing her finger over to his shoulder as she passes him. Elijah clears his throat, buttoning up his shirt before moving to walk beside her.
ELIJAH AND GRACE WALK INTO THE COURTYARD, heading over to Marcel who was talking to some of the cops. "Anything?" Elijah asks him and Marcel nods at the cops before moving over to them.
"They're putting eyes and ears out everywhere." Marcel starts as he looks between the pair. "Daywalkers are working every contact we got. Cops, dock workers, guys in the Treme. Word is out. Anyone trying to earn a favour with me gets a lifetime of it, if they find them." He explains to them and Elijah nods his head, walking into the office, Marcel and Grace following behind him.
"Good. I need a pen and paper." Elijah tells him as he stops by the desk and Marcel only scoffs.
"Hey. Am I taking orders from you now? Or are we in this together." Marcel asks as he stops behind Elijah. Elijah only sighs as he turns to face the younger vampire.
"Pen and paper, Marcellus. Now." Elijah states sharply and Marcel only glares at the original.
"I want her back just as much as you do, you know." Marcel tells him as the original only takes off his jacket, glancing at him. "Both of them." He says before exiting the room to retrieve what elijah asked for. The man only sighs before bringing his hand to his tie, taking it off. Grace raises an eyebrow at him before she realized that there were more names than she had seen. She only brings her hand to his buttons, unhooking them so that elijah could take off his shirt.
"Hayley?" He calls out as grace takes the shirt from him, placing it on the desk. As the girl walks into the room, Grace can't help the anger that floods her body as she had to avoid eye contact with the woman.
"Elijah, you're back. Did you find any..thing." Hayley just stared at Elijah who was now shirtless, her eyes roaming for a moment. "What is happening?" She asks as she sees the names written all over him but she couldn't help but notice that Grace's hands were on his skin.
"I need you to make a list of these names." Elijah tells her and the werewolf nods her head, heading over to him slowly. She walks around him, her eyes scanning his body before she sees a familiar name.
"Sabine? Elijah what is this?"ย Hayley asks him curiously.
"I think it's a list of names of people Celeste had inhabited over the last few centuries?" Elijah tells her.
"It's called the devinette. It's old school, kind of a riddle. Witches use it to teach their kids. Solve it and it disappears." Marcel tells them as he walks back into the room, handing the pen and paper to Hayley who takes it from him.
"Why? What's the point?" She asks as she starts to write down the names that she saw on Elijah's body.
"Celeste forced me to make a choice between yourself and my siblings. And now, she needs to mock that choice, taunting me with a childish game. The longer the game the more I suffer." Elijah explains to the girl and Hayleys eyes widen for a moment as she looks at elijah. "So, to find Niklaus and Rebekah, we need to solve this Riddle. The answer is probably within these names." Elijah says, gesturing to the countless names written on him.
"The name next to Sabine, Annie La Fleur. She's a witch that was shunned by her coven just over a year ago. I never knew why but I can find out." Marcel says as he points to it and Elijah nods his head. Marcel leaves the room, letting Hayley finish writing the names down.
"I'm gonna go, be anywhere but here." Grace states as she could barely even look at Hayley, let alone be in the same room as her.
"Grace-" Hayley reaches out and grabs her hand but Grace only rips it away from her, glaring harshly at the woman
"Don't touch me." Grace snaps and Hayley stumbled back a little bit. "The only reason I have not hurt you is because you are pregnant." She sneers as she gestures to the woman's stomach. If Hayley wasn't pregnant, she would've put her to the floor.
"You know." Hayley breathes out as it wasn't hard to put together the pieces and know why she was so mad.
"Yeah. How could you do that to me?" Grace asks, her voice breaking lightly but there was still clear anger in her eyes.
"I thought I was helping." She admits as she glanced towards elijah who was only going to move if grace layed a finger on the girl.
"Helping? In what world is that helping me?" Grace questions as she takes a step closer to Hayley. "Seriously, what kind of messed up reasoning did you have?"ย She asks as she wanted to know why the hell the girl even thought to track Ann in the first place because Grace has never mentioned her in the past year at least.
"Ann reached out to me, she explained that she wanted to fix everything, to apologize. I thought you would want that." Hayley explains to her and Grace just stared at her. She couldn't believe that Hayley would actually think what her mother was saying was true.
"No amount of apologies would make up for what she did." Grace responds and Hayley only frowns, glancing down at her hands. "I thought you knew that." She says as she has told that to Hayley multiple times but the girl seemed to just not listen.
"I know she just-" Hayley starts but Grace only rolls her eyes, shaking her head.
"My mother is a liar." Grace states as she had never believed a word that came out of her mouth. "She always has been. From the moment I was born." She says, as mother's were supposed to protect their children and she never did that. She never even tried.
"Grace, I really am sorry. I should've asked first, I know that." Hayley says as she knew she should've asked, she was going to but she was scared what her reaction would be.
"You're sorry?" Grace only shakes her head, closing her eyes for a moment. "You think that's going to fix the fact that she's here now?" She asks the brunette who seemed to not know what to say anymore.
"I know you're mad-" Hayley starts to say and Grace only turns to her, bringing her hands to her head.
"Of course I'm mad!" She screams at the girl who flinches lightly. Grace takes a step closer to Hayley, shaking her head as tears form in her eyes. "I thought you cared about me. I thought you loved me." Grace admits as she only scoffs, glaring at the woman standing in front of her. "I thought you were my sister." Her voice was small and weak as she just looks down at the ground. "Apparently I was wrong." Grace could see that Elijah was just listening to them, not wanting to say something since it was not his business.
"I made a mistake, I can fix it." Hayley assures her as she takes a step closer but Grace only scoffs, her body physically shaking with anger.
"There is no fixing it!" Grace denies as she couldn't just apologize and make it all go away. She had made her choice and now she had to live with it. "Ann is here and so is her little fake family." Grace tells her and Hayley's face goes pale white. "And with my mother here, do you really think my father won't find me now too?" She asks as she shakes her head. Grace had spent so long running from her father and now there was a possibility of him finally finding her. Because of Hayley.
"Grace-" Hayley tries again but Grace only cuts her off.
"No." Her voice was sharp, not wanting to hear anymore of her bullshit responses. "You are not my sister." Grace's words hit Hayley like a pile of bricks. The girl just shakes her head, tears falling from her eyes as she looks at Grace. "You are not my family." She says. "You mean nothing to me. Not anymore." And with that, Grace walks out of the room leaving Hayley in tears. Elijah noticed the brunette going to follow her but he only grabs her arm.
"Just, start trying to find connections within these names." Elijah tells Hayley as he didn't need her making the situation worse when they needed to focus.ย "I'll be right back." He says before following Grace. He looked around for a minute before seeing that she had went into the living room. Elijah sighs as he enters the room, catching her attention.
"Go away." Grace states as she brings her hands to her head, rubbing away her tears. Elijah closes the door behind him, not wanting anyone to try and eavesdrop.
"Grace, I know you are hurting but this isnt going to help us find my siblings." Elijah says as he didn't want to make it all about Klaus and Rebekah but he didn't want to let them suffer for much longer.
"Hurting.. You think I'm hurting?" She asks, her voice harsh as she turns to him. "Elijah, you have no idea. About any of this." Grace snaps at him as he had no right to tell her how she felt. He didnt know what Hayley did was unforgivable.
"Then tell me. Why are you so enraged at Hayley for contacting your mother?" Elijah questions as he holds up his hand. "Why does it upset you so much?" He asks, needing to know the context because otherwise, he would have no choice but to be neutral in this argument.
"You really want to know?"ย Grace sneers as she drops her phone onto the couch before bringing her hands to her shirt. Elijah furrows his eyebrows before watching her take it off. He immediately averts his eyes, clearing his throat.
"I don't see how this is explaining it to me." Elijah says as he shakes his head, keeping his eyes on the ground. Grace only sighs as she drops her shirt, standing in front of him.
"Look at me and then you'll see." Grace tells him and Elijah hesitantly moves his eyes back to her. And what he saw, was not what he was expecting.
Elijah saw the scars that littered her body, burn marks that hadn't seemed to properly heal. One scar had started from the bottom of her bra and went all the way to her belly button. His eyes widen lightly as it didn't even seem to be the majority of them. Grace lifts her hair before turning around so that he could see her back. Elijah had seen many things in his lifetime so he didn't know why it was affecting him so much, he even had to glance away for a second.
"My father abused me for years, in every single way imaginable." Grace says once she was looking back at him and it took Elijah a moment to recompose himself before he met her eyes. "My mother just stood by and watched." She says, and she had hoped that maybe now he would realize why she had gotten so angry at Hayley. Grace wasn't overreacting, if anything she was taking it easy on the girl. "I was a child, Elijah." Her voice was sharp as she stares at him. Elijah sighs as he bites the inside of his cheek. "And you want to stand there and say that I have no reason to be upset?" Grace asks as she places a hand on her hip. Elijah shakes his head, stepping towards her.
"I am so sorry." He says, and she could see that he was blocking the tears from appearing in his eyes.
"Sorry doesn't bring back eight years of my life." She replies to him and he nods slowly but she could tell he was thinking about something. Elijah was suddenly in front of her, his hands on either side of her face.
"When we retrieve my siblings, I promise you that I will make sure she leaves this city and never returns." Elijah states as he gazes down at her and she only nods her head. He brings his hands down after stroking her cheeks softly. "Is this what you were talking to Niklaus about?" Elijah asks as he knew they had talked about something for a while, he knew Niklaus could relate to her in a lot of ways. "You know he will protect you, Rebekah too." He says and Grace knew he was right. They hadn't known each other longer but for some reason, the originals seemed protective over her.
"I know." Grace responds.
"How young did it start?" Elijah asks, his jaw clenching as he couldn't even fathom how small she was when this started for her.
"I was eight." Grace responds with a sigh as she glanced down at the floor. Elijah felt the anger build inside of him as he couldn't believe that someone could hurt a child, especially one that young.
"You shouldnt have had to go through that."ย Elijah tells her as he places his hand on her arm. Grace glances up at him, staring into his eyes and she could see that he truly was sorry for her. Most of the times she didn't want people's pity because it was fake but with Elijah she knew it was real.
Grace flickers her eyes down to his lips and before she ever realized, she had kissed him. Elijah was just stood there for a moment before softly pushing her away. Her eyes go wide as she stares at the man who seemed to be taken aback by the sudden affection.
"Shit.." She mutters as she takes a step away from the original "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that. I don't know why I did that." Grace says quickly as she shakes her head. Her mind was fuzzy and she didn't know why she had decided it would be a good idea to kiss him.
"You're seeking comfort." Elijah tells her as he didn't want her to feel guilty at all. "I'm guessing that's what you do when you don't want to feel the emotions from your past." He states as everyone had a different way of coping. For Grace, it seemed like sex was always the answer. Grace furrows her eyebrows as she smiles.
"Do you have like an alter ego that's a therapist or something?"ย She asks as he always for some reason, knew the right thing to tell her. Elijah smiles, chuckling underneath his breath.
"I've been around a long time, Grace. I've learned a thing or two." Elijah replies as he tilts his head, staring down at her. Grace only laughs lightly, licking her bottom lip. She takes a step closer to him, her eyes moving down his bare chest for a moment. Grace looked back up at him, seeing the reluctance in his eyes as she places her hands on his stomach. She moves her hands up to his neck, hovering over his jaw. Elijah only clenches it, gazing down at her as he felt himself take a step closer.
Leaning up, she hovers her lips over his. Elijah holds his breath for a moment, his body tensing because of their close proximity. He internally fights with his mind as he closes his eyes for a moment. He knew this was wrong, that he shouldn't have even allowed her to kiss him. Elijah knew this would come back to bite him but in that moment, he didn't care. He just grasps her hair, pulling her towards his lips. Grace sighs as she feels his lips on hers, kissing her. She kisses him back, her hands dropping to his shoulders as she could feel his hands move onto her waist. The kiss deepens as Elijah brings her closer, his hand gripping her hair, pulling it ever so slightly.
Grace gasps as she suddenly feels her back hit the wall, Elijah moving his lips down her neck. She moans as he trails down her breasts, making her tilt her head back. Elijah brings his hands down to her ass, gripping it as he lifts her up, making her legs wrap around his waist. He brings his lips back to hers as he brings them to the desk, placing her on top of it.
She grips the side of it as he leans her back, bringing his hand up her body before sliding it down to her waist. Elijah allows his tongue to enter her mouth, his fingers unbuttoning her jeans and pulling them down. Grace gasps as she feels the cool air hit her legs, her hands running down his abs to get to his belt buckle. Elijah grips her thighs, pulling her closer to him and she yanks down his pants. He pulls back from her for a moment, meeting her eyes and he could just see the girl staring back at him with lust and desire. Grace bites her bottom lip, smirking up at him which makes him lean back down and smash their lips together once again.
Elijah thrusts into her roughly making her moan out, her head tilting back. He only runs his fingers through her hair, lifting her lips back to his as he deepens his thrusts. Her body golts with each one, her lips meeting his as her arms wrap around his neck.
Grace grips the bottom strands of his hair making the man groan lightly as her fingers drop and rake down his back. Elijah brings one of his hands down her stomach, making her arch her back as she deepens the kiss. He lets his fingers rub her clit as he slows down his thrusts so that he could move harder. Grace whimpers against his lips as she furrows her eyebrows, her legs clenching around his waist.
His fingers dig into her thighs, raising them higher on his waist as he continues to thrust into her. Grace moans against his lips, feeling her getting closer as she squeezes her eyes shut. Her mouth moves back from his, parting open as her lips hover over his.
"Elijah.." She moans softly as her jaw drops open, her eyes rolling back. Grace could feel Elijah pressing kisses to her jaw as she rides through her orgasm. Elijah suddenly stops thrusting into her, his head dropping to her shoulder. Grace heard the moans leaving his lips as he gripped her hips tightly.
Elijah gathers himself, standing up straight as he brings his pants back up, buckling the belt. Grace bites her bottom lip as she sits up on the desk, watching him closely. Elijah turns to her, not even making eye contact as he pulls up her jeans before lifting her off of the table. He hands her, her shirt clearing his throat. "I know it wasn't bad so what's on your mind?" Grace asks as she grabs it from him, pulling it on. Elijah only shakes his head, picking up the lamp that had broke on the ground.
"Nothing." He tells her but he knew he should've held back. Its not that Elijah didn't think Grace was attractive or anything, she was a very beautiful woman. But he knew of his feelings for Hayley and he knew of his brothers feelings for Grace. And yet, he had done it anyways because he gave into the temptation. "You deserve so much better, Grace. I truly hope one day you get justice." Elijah says, his eyes staying on the ground before he finally lifts them to meet her gaze. Grace sighs, running a hand through her hair before she smiles lightly.
"Don't worry, Klaus has already made a plan to torture my father if he ever shows his face." Grace responds as she buttons up her jeans, looking at Elijah who tightly smiles at her. She could see something was bothering him but she knew he wouldn't say what it was.
"I'm sure he has." He says as he turns to walk towards the door, knowing Hayley was probably wondering what was taking him so long.
"Elijah?" She calls out after him making him stop and turn back around. Elijah raises an eyebrow, looking at her curiously. "Thank you." Grace says as she bites the inside of her cheek. Elijah just stared at her, glancing around the room.
"For what?" Elijah asks confused.
"Being kind to me ever since I showed up." Grace says which makes him furrow his eyebrows. He didn't need gratitude for him showing kindness to her. "Most people aren't. Especially when they see my scars." She admits as she wraps her arms around her body. Grace got self conscious easily, even after she had sex, especially then. Because she knew they had seen every scar that littered her body and she thought they were ugly.
"Well, those people are complete idiots." Elijah tells her with a smile playing on his lips. Grace returns it, biting the inside of her cheek before the original leaves her alone.
