GRACE LETS OUT A YAWN AS SHE HEADS DOWN THE STAIRS. Her head was pounding and she could feel her body ache. She knew she had drank way too much last night but it was the only way to enjoy that party filled with supernatural beings. Although, this morning definitely made her regret her choices. She smells something cooking, making her glance around before heading towards the kitchen.

Walking in, she sees Klaus by the stove, stirring something in a pot. He turns his head, seeing the girl stop by the counter. "Morning, love." Klaus says as he watches the girl run a hand through her hair. Grace just gives a tired wave before walking up to him.

"Why are you cooking?"ย  Grace asks him as she knew that he didn't necessarily need to eat proper food to survive.

"Well, you were pretty hammered last night so I thought I'd make some breakfast." He states as he knew that she would need something to help her wake up this morning. Grace squints her eyes at him.

"You're never nice." She points out as she didn't think that he would just do this on his own volition.

"I can be nice when I want to be, love." Klaus retorts as he glanced down at her. Grace looks up at him, yawning her again making him smile.

"It does smell good." She admits as she watches him for a moment. Her eyes move to the coffee maker, desperately needing a cup. But Klaus only places something in front of her. Grace glanced down, seeing it was a steaming hot cup of coffee."Oh, my god. You are literally my saviour." Grace says with a gasp as she picks up the cup and immediately takes a sip.

"Ill remember that the next time you want to be rude to me." Klaus teases with a smirk playing on his lips. Grace rolls her eyes playfully but she smiles at him.

"Where's Jenna?" She asks as she hadn't seen the girl when she was making her way to the kitchen.

"Still sleeping, I assume." Klaus responds as she hadn't heard anything coming from the guest bedroom since he's been up.

"God, I can barely remember last night."ย  Grace says with a groan as she walks over to the island, sitting on one of the stools and placing her cup in front of her.

"You can't remember anything?" Klaus asks as he furrows his eyebrows and Grace only lets out a sigh.

"Well, I remember up until Jenna took me to dance. After that, it's a blur." Grace admits as she rubs her face a little. "Did she get me to my room?" She asks as she had woken up in her room this morning with no recollection of how she got there. Klaus just gives her a tight smile.

"Yeah, she must've." Klaus says with a nod as he places the plate down in front of her. She picks up the fork, grateful that she didn't have to force herself to make something.

"Thank you. I would hug you but I'm too hungry." Grace says as she pokes her fork into the eggs, bringing some to her mouth. Klaus just shakes his head, smiling down at her.

"What smells so good?" Jenna asks as she walks into the room, furrowing her eyebrows. Grace glances at her, seeing that Jenna didn't look too good either.

"Klaus made breakfast." She states and Jenna raises her eyebrows as Klaus places another plate on the counter.

"Hm, I guess you do have one good quality." Jenna admits as she looks towards the man.

"I'm sure your fiance will be so happy to marry you." Klaus tells her sarcastically and she immediately sticks up the middle finger at him.

"And I take it back." Jenna mutters as she rolls her eyes, sitting down on the stool next to Grace.

"See this is why I don't do parties." She states as she knew that she had forgotten how easy it was to get drunk.

"So you drank too much, it happens." Jenna points out as it wasn't their first time getting black out drunk at a party.

"When I have a best friend to take care of me, I guess it's better." Grace says with a smile as she nudges the girls arm. Jenna only laughs, shaking her head.

"Girl, I was just as wasted as you were." She replies, she was no help the Grace last night. She could barely remember most of the night.

"You didn't get me back to my room?" Grace asks with furrowed eyebrows and Jenna only shrugs her shoulders.

"Nope."

"Why didn't I just stick with whine and curl up with a good movie last night." Grace asks with a groan as she rests her head against the counter. Jenna smirks as she raises an eyebrow.

"Because I didn't let you." Jenna responds and Grace only glares at her playfully. Grace noticed that Klaus was walking out of the kitchen so she decided to follow after him.

"Klaus." She calls out and he stops walking, turning back towards her curiously. "Thank you." Grace says and he only stared back at her confused. Klaus thought she was just thanking him for the food when really, it didn't take much to realize that it was him that brought her to bed last night.

"It didn't really take much, love." He responds as he shrugs his shoulders. Grace only smiles gently at him as she tilts her head.

"You know what I'm talking about and if you don't want to take credit, it's fine." Grace responds and she could see his eyes move away from her for a moment, his cheeks turning slightly rose. "But thank you for taking care of me." She says, offering a smile towards him before she heads back into the kitchen. Klaus smiles to himself before turning and heading up the stairs.

"So, anyone you fancy here?" Jenna asks as the woman sits back down beside her. Grace shrugs her shoulders as she shovels some eggs into her mouth.

"I'm not really looking for anything. This isn't permanent." Grace points out as it wasn't like she was going to be in New Orleans forever.

"No one has taken your interest?" She questions as she knew that at least one person had to have shown interest towards her. Jenna could see how many people she has already met in the city.

"I mean, I've been with a couple people but most people id just consider friends?" Grace admits as she shrugs a little bit.

"Are you sure?" Jenna asks as she raises an eyebrow at the woman. Grace looks at her, furrowing her eyebrows.

"What are you suggesting?" She asks, slightly confused on what the girl was referring to.

"Nothing." Jenna says with a smirk as she shakes her head. Grace squints her eyes at the girl. "Do you want to find someone eventually?" She asks curiously as she hasn't really heard the girl mention anyone serious within the few years that she's known her.

"I don't know.." grace admits with a shrug as she had never really felt anything for the people she's been with. "I guess I just haven't thought about that." She says as she fiddles with her fingers.

"You mean since Dylan?" Jenna asks, she knew that Dylan was her boyfriend when she was younger. All she knew about how it ended was that it ended in heartbreak.

"I have stopped hoping for love and happily ever after, Jenna. You hope for things, you get disappointed." Grace states as she just didn't believe that happiness was in the plan for her.

"It's not bad to have hope." Jenna tells her as she glanced towards the staircase that Klaus and went up. "Maybe someone is closer than you think." She suggests as she looks back at Grace who just shrugs her shoulders, resting her chin on her palm.

JENNA AND GRACE SAT IN ROUSSEAU'S TOGETHER, even though grace believed that she had drank enough in the last week to last her a lifetime. "I wish I could stay here longer but I have to get back by tomorrow morning." Jenna says with a sigh as she rests her elbow on the counter, her chin settling on the palm of her hand. Grace looks at her, furrowing her eyebrows.

"Can't you take more days off?" Grace questions as she knew their work wouldn't mind as long as they kept working on their cases from afar.

"I can but it's not fair on Mark." She replies as she frowns, glancing down at her fingers. Grace nods her head, offering a gentle smile.

"I understand." Grace got that Jenna didn't want to be away from Mark for long but it sucked that they didn't have much time together. "We can still make the best of today though." She points out and Jenna nods her head in agreement. Grace turns her head to see Camille wiping down the bar, a few feet from them.

"Cami!" Grace calls out and Camille turns to face her. She walks over to the two women, raising an eyebrow. "Two glasses of your best red wine, please." She says with a smile and Camille returns it, nodding her head.

"Coming right up." Camille responds before her eyes land on Jenna. "Who's your friend?" She asks curiously as she meets Jennas gaze.

"Jenna Harrington." She says and Camille nods her head.

"Camille O'Connor." Camille responds.

"She's my-" Grace goes to say but Jenna cuts her off.

"Best friend, work wife, overall bad bitch." Jenna states with a smirk on her lips. Camille raises an eyebrow, amusement clear in her eyes. Grace looks at Jenna, pressing her lips together.

"I was gonna say friend." Grace retorts and Jenna only shrugs her shoulders.

"And that would be an inaccurate description." She replies making Grace roll her eyes. Camille only laughs as she holds her hand out to Jenna who shakes it.

"Well, it's nice to meet you Jenna." Camille tells her before turning to get the wine for the two ladies. Jenna watches as Grace follows Camille with her eyes.

"You've totally had sex with her." Jenna says with a knowing smirk and Grace only snaps her head towards her. Grace rolls her eyes, shrugging her shoulders.

"Yeah. So?" Grace asks as it wasn't like she was trying to hide it.

"You make it so obvious." She taunts making Grace groan.

"I do not." Grace denies with a whine but Jenna only squints her eyes, leaning towards the woman.

"So, you haven't had sex with both Elijah and Klaus either?" Jenna asks as she cocks an eyebrow up. Grace just stared at her, her cheeks turning red before she moves her eyes to her hands.

"How do you do that?" She grumbles as it seems that she could never keep any sort of secret from her. Jenna shrugs her shoulders, a smirk playing on her lips.

"It's a gift." Jenna admits and Grace rolls her eyes playfully. Camille comes over, placing the glasses in front of them. Grace gives a smile towards the woman and Camille just gives a small wink before walking away.

"It's just sex. It's fun." Grace tells her as what was the fun of coming to a new city if she didn't at least meet a few people and have a night with them.

"Mhm, I bet it is." Jenna teases as she tilts her head.

"But they're all my friends now." Grace states as she shrugs.

"You can say that a million times and I still won't believe you." Jenna responds as she knew at least one of them was something more. Not that she would ever admit it to herself or anyone else.

"Whatever." Grace mumbles as she takes a drink of her wine. Jenna runs a hand through her hair.

"By the way, Rachel is asking about you." Jenna tells her and Grace furrows her eyebrows. At first, she had to remember who Rachel was but then she remembered that she was the woman she spent the night with before she left to go to New Orleans.

"Why?" She asks confused as she didnt even realize Rachel knew Jenna's number.

"Because you said you would call her and then you disappeared to come to New Orleans." Jenna points out with a smirk playing on her lips. Grace presses her lips together as she swirls the wine around in the glass.

"Well, I wouldn't call her even if I was still in New York."grace states and Jenna laughs, knowing immediately what that meant.

"It was that bad?" Jenna questions.

"It wasn't bad." Grace says slowly as she rubs the back of her neck. Jenna raises an eyebrow at her. "It just wasn't good." She admits as she shrugs her shoulders. It wasn't like it was the worst sex she has had, it just was no where near the best.

"Was Cami good?" Jenna asks as she wiggles her eyebrows. Grace smirks to herself as she glanced at Camille who was too busy wiping down glasses to notice.

"I shouldn't kiss and tell." Grace retorts but it only makes a snort leave Jenna's mouth as she raises her eyebrows.

"So, that's a yes." She states making Grace look at her, squinting her eyes.

"You're annoying." Grace tells her and Jenna only giggles, pressing her lips together.

"But you love me." Jenna retorts as she wraps her arms around the girls neck. Grace rolls her eyes playfully as she pushes the girl off but she can't help but smile brightly at her. Jenna returns it before picking up her glass and taking a sip.

WALKING INTO HER ROOM, Grace notices that Klaus was standing by her bed. She looks a little confused on why the man was in her room, glancing around to see if anyone else was there but he was alone. "Klaus, what are you doing in here?" She asks, making him look over at her. Klaus smiles at her before gesturing to something that was laying on the bed.

"Just dropping something off for you, love." Klaus tells her and she walks over to him, stopping beside the original and looking at the red dress that was displayed out in front of her.

"A dress?" Grace questions as she raises an eyebrow at Klaus. He looks at her, tilting his head a little bit.

"You are going to be my date this evening." He states and Grace just got even more confused. Why would he want her to be his date and what was she being his date to.

"Date?" Grace furrows her eyebrows as the man nods his head.

"To the witch ceremony." Klaus says and she only squints her eyes.

"So, I'm your date and I don't even get a say?" She asks as she crosses her arms against her chest.

"Red is your favourite colour, isn't it?" Klaus questions and she only looks at the dress yet again. It was simple but elegant, and it was definitely something that she would wear but that wasn't the pojnt.

"Klaus. You cannot just come in here and expect me to go to some witch thing with you." Grace tells him as it seemed like she didn't even have a choice. Klaus apparently thought she would just go with him willingly.

"Then bring Jenna along." He suggests and she immediately shakes her head.

"Please, she barely likes the witches in New York." Grace points out as there was no way that Jenna was going to spend an entire night, praising the witches of New Orleans.

"How about you, change into this dress. And then we'll talk." Klaus says as he picks up the dress and holds it out to her. Grace only gives a tight smile as she pushes his arms back.

"How about, no." She retorts as her hands plant themselves on her hips.

"I think Genevieve may be planning something and she will not help Cami's uncle." Klaus explains to her which makes Grace frown. She knew that Camille's uncle had been hexed but she didn't understand how going with him would help.

"But what does that have to do with me?" Grace asks as she sighs a little bit.

"Elijah thinks you keep me in check." Klaus admits and Grace raises an eyebrow, wondering why Elijah was always talking about her with Klaus.

"How so?" She questions as she crosses her arms.

"I might not murder anyone if you're there." He states and she bites the inside of her cheek.

"Charming." Grace says with a playful roll of her eyes before she groans and takes the dress from his arms. "You owe me. Big time." She states, if she was going to suffer tonight, then he was going to owe her in the future. Grace goes to turn when he grabs her arm gently. She looks back at him, noticing he was holding a small velvet box.

"I thought It would go great with this." Klaus says as he holds it out to her. Grace stares at it suspiciously, trying to figure out why he was being so nice to her.

"What is it?" Grace asks, furrowing her eyebrows as she stares at the black velvet box.

"Open it, love." Klaus tells her as he stared down at her. "Consider it an early birthday present." He says as he had overheard Jenna saying how it was her birthday soon. Grace squints her eyes but slowly opens the box, revealing a necklace with a ruby jewel. Her eyes widen as she stares at it.

"Is that real?" She asks as she trails her finger along the jewel. Klaus nods his head.

"Only a real jewel for a queen." Klaus responds as he lifts his hand to brush her hair behind her ear. Grace couldn't help the blush that formed on her cheek before she clears her throat.

"I can't accept this." She denies as she tries to hand it back to him.

"Yes you can, love." He tells her but she shakes her head.

"No, really Klaus. You shouldn't have." Grace says as she closes the box, putting it towards him but the man doesn't take it.

"A present is something you accept." Klaus points out.

"I don't deserve this." Grace denies as she hands it back to him once again. Klaus sighs as he takes the box, opening it up.

"Don't be ridiculous." He tells her as she definitely did deserve to be spoiled like this. It seemed that no one had ever done it before. "Allow me." Klaus says as he takes the necklace out, moving behind the girl. Grace moves her hair out of the way, allowing him to clasp it around her neck.

"I don't understand why you even cared enough to get me a present." Grace states as they hadn't known each other for long, only months but he seemed to not care.

"We're friends, are we not?" He asks her and she only holds the ruby, staring at it. "Friends gift each other on their birthdays. Or in this case, just before your birthday." Klaus explains to her and she couldn't help but smile.

"I don't even know what to say." She admits as no one has ever gotten her something like this before.

"No words necessary, love." Klaus says as he gazes down at her. Grace smiles back at him before leaning in and planting a kiss on his cheek. Klaus was a little taken back by the gesture.

"Thank you." She says softly as she pulls away from the man. Klaus just smiles down at her, staring into her eyes. Grace runs a hand down his arm before turning to head into the bathroom in order to change.

Klaus let's out a sigh as he closes his eyes for a moment, shaking his head. He has never felt so connected to someone before, he didn't understand why she was so different. Why she was stuck in his mind.

WALKING OVER TO WHERE DAVINA AND JOSH WERE, Grace stops next to them as she decided to see how Davina was doing. She watched the parade in the streets and now they were in the actually ceremony but she had noticed that Genevieve purposely made it so Davina didn't get any of the offerings. "Davina, hey." She says softly making the girl look towards her.

"Hey, Grace." Davina replies as she smiles, stepping towards the blonde.

"Are you okay?" Grace asks as she looks towards Josh who seemed a little concerned for the witch aswell.

"I'm fine." She lies as she tries to keep her composure but Grace knew of putting on a facade.

"No, you're not." Grace retorts and Davina just glanced towards the ground.

"Witches can be assholes." Josh points out and Grace turns her head, seeing Monique and the other harvest girl surrounded by gifts. Grace nods her head, agreeing with the vampire.

"That is very true." She says as she turns her head back to Davina who was staring down at the floor."Don't listen to what anyone says, okay?" Grace tells her as she places her hand on the girls shoulder. Davina meets her eyes, a gentle smile on her lips. "You deserve to be here." She states and Davina nods her head.

"Your friend is a witch too, right?" Davina asks as she had heard about it at Elijah's party last night.

"Yeah, she is." Grace responds with a nod but before Davina can say something else, Klaus walks over to them.

"Joshua." He says making them all turn their heads towards him. "Fancy seeing you here. We have unfinished business." Klaus says, his face showing anger as he glares at the young vampire.

"Klaus." Grace warns him as she steps towards him but Klaus only keeps his eyes on Josh.

"You need to leave here, right now." Davina demands as she snaps at the man.

"Now, to be fair love, you're not as powerful as you once were, are you? You're in no position to give orders." Klaus tells her and Grace steps in front of Davina, holding her hand out towards Klaus.

"Klaus, he was just protecting himself and his friend." Grace says but Klaus only moves past her, grabbing Josh by the shoulder, bringing him with him.

"Come along, lad." He says and Josh shares a glance with davina.

"Okay, can we talk about this?" He asks the hybrid who only brings him to the stairs in the middle of the room.

"Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention please?" Klaus asks as he finally let's go of Josh. "We are here today to pay homage to our beloved witches, but one very special witch has been utterly ignored." He explains and Genevieve was glaring at him as his eyes move down to Davina. "That seems a little unfair to me." He says as he takes out a small box, holding it out to the witch.

"No." Davina snaps as she glares at the hybrid. "I don't want your gift." She denies as she crosses her arms against her chest.

"I understand why you would reject me given our past." Klaus states as he looks down at the witch. "In truth, many of us here today have been wronged in the conflict which my brother's treaty ended." He announced, gesturing towards elijah who was only staring at his brother. "Your friend Josh was involved in a plot to kill me. It would be well within my right to execute him. here and now." Josh's eyes widen as he stares at Klaus who only smirks. "But in the spirit of solidarity and for your favour, Davina, I hereby pardon him. Josh, from this day forward you have nothing to fear from me." He tells the man who furrows his eyebrows. Klaus turns back to Davina, holding the small box out.ย  "Please." He says and she hesitantly takes it from him. Klaus only walks past her, heading away from the crowd. Grace follows after him, her arms crossed against her chest.

"What did you give her?" She asks him as he stops and turns back around to face her.

"Something that will help her little friend." Klaus responds and Grace nods her head.

"That was very big of you." Grace points out, slight suspicious because he never tended to do these things without something in return. "Assuming you aren't trying to get anything out of that big gesture." She states and he only smirks at her, putting his hand against his chest.

"Why, you think so low of me, love." Klaus responds and she only rolls her eyes playfully as she looks around. His eyes move down her for a moment, taking in her appearance. "I never got to tell you how gorgeous you look." He tells her and she moves her eyes back to him, raising an eyebrow.

"Who knew you had good taste in clothes." Grace teases and he only chuckles, taking a step closer to her.

"Wow, you just love to wound me." Klaus says and she only shrugs her shoulders. "No compliment for me?" He asks as the girl just stared at him for a minute.

"You look better than you do most days." She tells him and he only squints his eyes, biting the inside of his cheek.

"Charming." He replies and she only smiles at him. Her eyes move over his shoulder, her smile dropping as she noticed Hayley walking in. Klaus turns his head, seeing who she was looking at.

"Excuse me, I have to go to the ladies room." Grace responds, not waiting for a response as she walks in the opposite direction of Hayley. Klaus looks after her, frowning lightly before a sigh leaves his lips. He turns to Hayley before walking towards the wolf.

GRACE WAS STOOD BY HERSELF, drinking the champagne in her hand as she glanced around the room. She didn't know where Klaus went but she was annoyed that he left her alone. He was the one who brought her and yet he was no where to be found. She sighs, brushing her hair out of her face. Someone stands beside her making her glance towards them.

"Grace." Elijah says as he looks down at her and she just smiles up at him.

"Elijah." She replies as she turns to face him. Elijah looks over her for a moment, his eyes lingering on the ruby necklace.

"You look beautiful as always." He tells her causing her smile to brighten.

"And you look very handsome." Grace says as she clasps her hands together.

"Did my brother coerce you into coming?" Elijah asks since he hardly thinks that she would come on her own accord.

"More like bribed me." Grace corrects him because Klaus had practically shoved the dress and necklace in her face so she would be forced to come. "Because apparently you told him that I keep him in check?" She asks as she raises an eyebrow at the original.

"My brother acts different when you're around." Elijah points out but this only causes grace to become even more confused. She didn't see a difference, it seemed that maybe he wasn't as cruel to her as others but he acted quite the same.

"No, he doesn't?" Grace replies and Elijah only gives a small smile towards her.

"Trust me, Grace. I've been around him for a thousand years." Elijah states, he knew his brother better than anyone. He could see when the man was acting a certain way. Grace was about to say something else when drums start playing. She looks over, seeing a group playing the drums as they walk down the stairs.

"Happy fete des benedictions." A man announces as they stop at the bottom, the drums ceasing. "We have a message for all of you, from Marcel Gerard." He states and Grace turns her head to Klaus who's face had dropped, anger in his eyes.

The group take out knives before cutting their wrists, the blood dripping. The vampires around stare at the blood, their faces transforming. Elijah moves to stand in front of the group.

"Control yourselves. This is a vulgar trick." Elijah tells them but it didn't seem like the vampires wanted to listen to him.ย  "We do not violate our agreement." He states as he glares at them.

The lights go out making multiple people gasp as they couldn't see a thing. Grace suddenly heard screams as she could hear the sound of flesh being ripped apart. She glanced around, not knowing what to do.

"Grace?!" She could hear her name being called but she couldn't see where it was coming from. Grace was knocked to the ground, her head hitting something hard causing her ears to ring. She squeezes her eyes shut as she brings her hand up to her head, feeling a wet substance.

The lights turn back on and Grace groans as she glanced around, seeing the pile of dead bodies right next to her. She looks at her hand, seeing blood on it. Klaus immediately rushed to where she was, bending down to her. "Love, are you all right?" He asks her, his voice full of concern as he puts his hand on her arm.

"I think so." Grace replies as she meets his eyes but Klaus frowns, lifting his hand to her head.

"Your head." He states but she only shakes her head, giving a small smile as she didn't need him to worry. She could handle a small cut.

"I'm okay." Grace assures him but it didn't seem to help him one bit as he had grabbed a cloth and pressed it to her head. She lets her eyes wander around, seeing Hayley with Elijah and they were both looking at something. She furrows her eyebrows as sheย  turns her head to what they saw. On the wall, there was a sentence marked in blood.

There will be no peace.

KLAUS HAD HIS ARM WRAPPED AROUND GRACE'S WAIST AS HE HELPED HER WALK TOWARDS THE COMPOUND. Well, help is the word that he would use. Grace was just annoyed because he wouldn't let her go by herself. She had a bump on the head, it wasn't like she had a terminal illness. But he wouldn't take his hand off of her, no matter how many times she would ask him. "Klaus, I can walk." She says as she glanced at the man who only looks back at her.

"Well, you would not let me heal you so I'm just being cautious." Klaus points out as she didn't want any of his blood to heal her wound so he wasn't taking any chances. Grace sighs as the cut had stopped bleeding by now.

"It just hurts, that's all." She states, it wasn't like she had a brain bleed. Well, right now she wished she did.

"And that pain could turn to dizziness, that dizziness could turn to you passing out, etcetera etcetera." He explains to her and she gives him a playful glare before letting a sigh leave her lips.

"Just get me into bed, bring me a nice cup of hot cocoa and I'll be fine." Grace tells him and the man raises an eyebrow, amusement in his eyes as he smiles gently.

"Oh, so now I'm your errand boy?" Klaus asks her and she just shrugs her shoulders.

"You brought me to that party, so yes." Grace points out as she never would've been hurt if he didn't force her to go to that ceremony. Klaus only shakes his head before they enter through the door. He glanced up, noticing Elijah standing on the balcony, his hand stained red.

"Well, I see that you've already avenged the little wolf." Klaus states as he meets Elijah's eyes. "But judging by your look, you're still out for blood." He says and Elijah just glares down at him.

"If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results, then surely my quest for your salvation ranks me as one of the maddest of men." Elijah explains to him and Grace lets out a sigh. She knew this was going to lead to an argument. Grace didn't understand why Elijah was so hell bent on Klaus' redemption though, he didn't have to be.

"Come on, then. What horrible deed has the bastard done this time?" Klaus asks, a little bit annoyed as he didn't have time for this. "Make it quick, I have to take Grace up to bed." He tells Elijah but Grace only turns her head to the hybrid.

"I can walk-" Grace couldn't finish her sentence as Elijah had began to talk over her.

"Do you know, in the past, I actually appreciated the methods to your manipulations. However, now here we are, poised on the brink of a new era which will benefit not only your home, but your child. And you go behind my back to conspire with the wolves." Elijah says and Grace just glanced up at the roof.

"Conspire is hardly the word I would use for a family council. Lest you forget Elijah, they are my family as much as any mikaelson. A name, in truth, I cannot even call my own." Klaus sneers at him and this causes Elijah to become even more angry than he already was. He speeds down to them, his gaze harsh.

"How casually you disevow a thousand years of allegiance towards you." He says, his tone firm and sharp. Klaus only scoffs at him.

"And now that I have found the remnants of my other family, am I to ignore their plight?" He asks, raising an eyebrow at his brother who only glanced away for a moment. "I would've thought you'd support my desire to help them, when in doing so, I help Hayley and the child." Klaus states and Grace only sighs, looking at her hands.

"Maybe I should leave you two-" Grace starts to say, but Klaus only blocks her from moving making her eyes roll in annoyance.

"Do not question my allegiance towards that child." Elijah snaps at him, taking a step towards him. Grace seriously questioned her decision to stay in New Orleans at this moment.

"Oh, I suppose your affection for Hayley has nothing to do with your tireless dedication." Klaus says as he raises his eyebrows at his brother who only glares back at him. "Yes, you see. I saw how you cared for her tonight. Called her name in the dark. The zeal with which you destroy those who would harm her." He states and Elijah only speeds him to the wall, Klaus fights against him until Elijah had his hand around the mans throat. Grace had to roll her eyes because they seriously could not be civilized for not even two seconds.

"I have denied every impulse I have ever had for that woman. Out of misbegotten respect for intentions that you don't even have." Elijah snaps at him as he points his finger at Klaus. The hybrid glares back at him, his jaw clenching.

"I am warning you--"

"I am warning you. I've forgiven you I have stood by you. I have forsaken every single one of my desires in the name of your ridiculous redemption. No more." Elijah says as he shakes his head before letting him go. "If I want something, I'll take it. And nothing, nothing will stand in my way." He states, he wasn't going to allow Klaus to ruin everything. Grace just bites the inside of her cheek before taking a step towards them.

"Okay, I'm gonna say this because you two are literally the epitome of annoying and I was forced to stand here and listen." Grace tells them as she was really starting to get frustrated with them both. "Elijah, you chose to stand by him. You didn't have to, you didn't have to forgiven him but you did." She states as elijah acted like he has to forgive him countless times, when he didnt have to. It wasn't like Klaus forgave them for the things they did to betray him. "Don't you dare accuse Klaus of not caring for his child just because he's not infatuated with Hayley. They had one stupid night of drunken sex, it doesn't mean that he's bonded with her for life. Co-parenting does exist in the twenty first century." She states as it wasn't a mandatory thing for klaus to be with Hayley. They have a kid, yes. But most parents who force themselves together for the sake of their child, just ends up hurting their child instead. "And you denying your feelings for Hayley has nothing to do with him. You're just a coward who's afraid to love so you'll use every excuse in the book and blame every single person other than yourself than admit it. Trust me, I know that feeling." She could see that Elijah wanted to say something but he kept his mouth shut.ย  "You think Klaus manipulates and hurts people around him when you do the exact same things as him, you just hide it within your nobility and your fancy suits." Grace could see that Klaus was smirking, probably thinking that Elijah was the only one who was going to get told off.

"And Klaus." She says making the man look at her, his smirk dropping and she only crosses her arms against her chest. "Just because they have done horrible things to you, and vice versa does not mean that you can just brush off a thousand years of them standing beside you. Yes, you do not choose your family and yes family isn't all that it's cracked up to be. But Elijah loves you. Rebekah loves you. And I know you love them." She explains to him and she could see he was just thinking about what she was saying, his eyes drifting to the floor. "You have your werewolf family and you have every right to want to do something for them, but do not act like you don't have other intentions behind your good deeds." Grace knew that Klaus most likely had another plan with the werewolves, he could try to lie but it wasn't hard to see. "But Elijah is trying to make peace in this city and just because you may hate him right now, does not mean you get to jeopardize that." She finishes as she glares lightly at the hybrid. Grace puts her hands on her hips, looking at them.

"God, you two are a thousand years old and still, you act like complete and utter children." She snaps at them with a sigh as she flickers her eyes between the two brothers. "You're both as bad as each other." Both of them thought that they were in the right when in fact, neither of them are. They both keep their eyes to the ground. "Now, you go pour me a nice bath." Grace says as she points at Elijah who glanced up at her. "You, go make that hot cocoa." She states as she points at Klaus who had his jaw clenched. Grace groans as she turns around, heading towards the stairs.

"Because I am done being a freaking therapist for you two."
