TIMELINE:
Summer before fifth year - summer before sixth year.

PLOT SUMMARY:

     EVA HADDAD is invisible. Not literally, that would be weird, and besides, she's not magic or anything. No, Eva may not literally be invisible, but she feels invisible to everyone around her. Especially her next door neighbour, James Potter, whom Eva is certain she's in love with. The problem is, Eva isn't what would stereotypically be considered pretty, and if she wants James Potter to come and sweep her off her feet, she needs to reinvent herself.

     So when James Potter invites his three friends around for the summer, Eva can't help but spy on him. She assumes that no one can see her, but the strange girl with bushy hair keeps popping her head over the fence causes Remus Lupin becomes intrigued. As the summer goes on, Remus continues to steal glances at the girl over the fence, before finally plucking up enough courage to talk to her. Their exchanges are brief, and Eva begins to grow disinterested in the boy opposite her, hoping that now she's been seen, will catch the attention of James Potter, the boy she loves.

So when summer comes to an end, Eva and Remus now good friends, Eva hatches a plan to become James Potter's definition of 'pretty' whilst he is away at his mysterious boarding school. With the help of her Cousin Ulysses, Eva undergoes a makeover of a lifetime, hopefully catching the eye of the boy she believes to be her one true love.

The following summer eventually arrives, and Eva looks nothing like the girl James Potter once knew. The boy becomes captivated by the girl next door, and immediately all thoughts of Lily are thrown out the window. He wants Eva.

Remus is crushed.

How could the girl whom he was certain he was in love with, go for the boy who hadn't shown interest in her, until she changed her appearance?

Why couldn't she choose him? The boy who saw her when she was INVISIBLE.

CHARACTER TRAITS TO CONSIDER:

     — Eva is superficial. The whole reason she changed up her looks was to impress a boy. This means she's someone that often tends to value looks over personality, hence why she immediately overlooks Remus and his scars. [ Poor Remmy :(( ]

     — This fic is based off of the Princess Diaries. The scene where Jason asks Mia why she chose him to be her date to the Genovian Independence Day ball, after constantly being overlooked, is my inspiration for this plot, so I highly suggest you watch that scene (or the whole film - it's really good) for reference.

    — Eva's relationship with Ulysses is very strong. She has no siblings, so she has an extremely close bond with her cousin. Bear in mind that Ulysses is not very happy that Eva is changing her appearance for a boy, but because he wants her to be happy, he's willing to help give her a makeover.

— I published this fic way back in 2018, but life got in the way and i never got further than the first chapter, so if you want this plot please do Eva justice, I miss her :)
