PLOT SUMMARY:

     MARISOL HARTLEPOOL has no memory. No memory of anything; who she is, who her parents are, where she's from - anything! The only thing the girl can remember is her name.

     After waking up in an empty hospital room, Marisol is panicked. She can't remember any of the events that led her to be where she woke up. In hopes of trying to find her bearings, the girl turns on the radio sat on the cabinet beside her hospital bed. After working out how to switch the gadget on, the first station that pops up is KACL, and a show paying at the time is hosted by a man by the name of Frasier Crane. The show seemed to be a phone in psychiatry show - how odd.

     After listening to the show for a while, Marisol realises that perhaps this Frasier guy could help her figure out who she is. A psychiatrist should be able to do that right? When the show begins the next day, Marisol asks Nurse Greene, the woman looking after her, if she can phone in. Once she has gained approval, Marisol phones in, greeted by a woman by the name of Roz Doyle. A moment later, the young girl is connected to the man himself and she begins to tell Frasier her problem - that she is suffering from extreme amnesia.

     Intrigued, Frasier decides that one consultation over the phone isn't enough and so meets Marisol face-to-face. The more the duo interact, the more Frasier realises the girl needs 24/7 care, and thus invites her to stay in his apartment with him, his father Martin, a woman named Daphne Moon and Eddie the dog.

     Certain that she has nowhere else to go, Marisol accepts Frasier's offer, throwing her into a world of fancy wines, amusing family arguments and dog treats. And from then on, Marisol's life will be something that many only experience IN THEIR DREAMS

CHARACTER TRAITS TO CONSIDER:

     — Marisol has severe amnesia and is learning how life works from scratch. This means her character is rather childlike yet anxious.

     — She gets on well with all of the main and supporting cast of Frasier, but is closest to Eddie the Dog. She feels as if she can tell the animal anything and he won't judge her at all.

     — Marisol is a lovable character, but her ignorance to life leads her to act in a rather silly manner that Frasier and Niles frown upon.

     — This fic is based on the song 'In My Dreams' from Anastasia. Therefore there should be a more sensitive element to this. Bear in mind that Marisol has no recollection of life before waking up in a hospital, so try and consider how that would affect her mental health. If you're struggling, I strongly recommend listening to 'In My Dreams' for reference.
