Things haven't been the best for either of us for a while but do you wanna know something? I'm here for you. Even if the greatest storms rage upon us, I'll be here, listening to you and never leaving you. I've been away, we've been doing great, playing shows at local clubs and bars - people like our music and I'm honestly so happy to be able to share that with you.

I wasn't specifically in a great frame of mind either this morning and it was James who suggested that you could be my safe place, like you always have been. Our times at Hogwarts, sneaking between classes, going to The Three Broomsticks together and having karaoke nights at our dormitories. It was all this beautiful fantasy that I had been living in, but with the pressure of touring, singing, being the bassist and sleep deprivation has caught me in a chokehold. I need an escapade, a place where I can be myself for at least a moment.

I find that place in you. I miss you. I have that little polaroid of all us, the marauders along with you, celebrating the Quidditch game win. I hold it close to my heart as much as I hold this letter, while writing it to you. It must be so hard - waking up and feeling like you're somebody else, trapped in the four walls of your room. You aren't alone in this, Ash.
We're all somebody we fake to be, a person whom we aren't. We wear an invisibility cloak upon us, thinking it could hide us from everyone else. But as close friends, I know you are beautiful and loved. You have my whole heart.

I feel tears at the corner of my eyelids while I write this. Your presence around me has changed me as a person completely. I am happy being myself - reading and learning more about the world with you. You made me feel a certain type of way that nobody has ever done for me. Tell me more about how everything has been for you? I miss everything back at home. How did the Quidditch game go this time? I'm pretty sure you must be busy revising for classes. You've always been a visionary student and loved by everyone. That makes me even more proud of you. You are honestly the brightest star I have ever known in all these years of my life. I love you so much. I can't wait to tell you all the stories of our tour. All the other marauders asked me to say hello to you, so here we are.
