"Tell that boy to leave Y/N alone," Lana scolds at Poseidon. "He's going to bring her nothing but sadness."

"He brings her happiness, Lana," Poseidon tries to keep his composure. "Why can't you see that?"

"Oh, I see that," Lana scoffs. "She's being naive just like I was. And maybe he does bring her happiness but that'll be until he leaves her and who knows? She'll probably end up pregnant like I did."

"Not everyone is like me, Lana! I left you because I had to! I'm an Olympian God not just a regular one. Being with a mortal isn't easy, but I would've stayed with you and Y/N if I could've! You just don't understand that I couldn't! When will you see that I'm not a bad guy?! That I was there! Maybe not physically, but I was!"

"Never!" Lana screams back at him. "I will never understand! You left without even saying anything! I had to deal with the whole birth and raising her all these years alone, so for you to just barge into her life and drop a huge bomb on her was probably the lowest shit you've ever done!"

"You're right, Lana, it was," Poseidon nods. "But I'm here now and I want to get to know her."

"You can't just start playing the dad role out of nowhere, Poseidon, especially because you're just using her."

"That was my intention, but now she's here and I've seen how much of a beautiful and kind person she is and it makes me hate myself for missing so much in her life! You think it was hard for you?! It was hard for me too!"

"Stick to your plan, Poseidon. As soon as this darkness is defeated, Y/N and I are gone. You and Jungkook will never hear from us ever again."

"Let her make her own decisions, God damn it!"

"No! Not if they end with how mine did!"

Poseidon clenches his jaw in anger, hands balled into fists.

"You hate me for being the villain in your story," Poseidon speaks calmly. "And Y/N will hate you for being the villain in hers."

Lana rolls her eyes, "It's been two weeks, Poseidon. I see her falling more and more for that guy."

"Then let her." Poseidon speaks softly.

"I can't," She rebukes. "I won't."

Lana turns around and walks out of his office room. He sits down on the chair behind his desk and lets out a deep sigh.

"Alright, take a deep breath in. We don't want to destroy the whole land," Jungkook instructs and you do as he says. "We'll start small. Place your palms on the ground."

You kneel and your palms touch the ground.

"Concentrate. Think about what you're trying to achieve."

You inhale and exhale, your mind wondering to what you want to accomplish. In just a few seconds, the ground starts to tremble softly. Jungkook laughs and claps his hands.

You open your eyes and grin, looking up to see the birds flying around because of the vibrating trees. You take your hands off the ground and the shaking stops.

Jungkook pulls you up and hugs you, "You did it!"

"All because of you."

He pulls away just enough to kiss you and you smile into the kiss.

"Y/N!" Your mother shouts, startling the two of you.

You both quickly pull away to see your mom stomping towards you two, anger written all over her face.

"What are you doing?!"

"We were just practicing, ma'am." Jungkook answers.

"I wasn't talking to you."

"Don't talk to him like that," You send her a glare. "He's being respectful and you're just being insolent."

"Are you talking back, young lady?"

"Yes," You answer. "And I don't care because these past two weeks you've been nothing but rude towards Jungkook."

"And that's how I will be until we leave this place."

"Why? What are you trying to achieve?"

"For you to realize that this boy is using you. He may tell you all these sweet things, but they're all lies."

You scoff in disbelief, "This again?! Mom, I'm sorry, but just because it happened to you doesn't mean it'll happen to me. Jungkook isn't Poseidon!"

"Stop being stupid and open your eyes!"

"No! You stop being stupid and believing everyone's lives will end in misery just because yours did!"

Lana's and Jungkook's eyes widen and you yourself seem taken aback because of your words.

"Mom, I..." You trail off.

"Don't," She swallows harshly. "I see what influence this boy has on you."

No matter how guilty you felt because of what you just said, your mother somehow managed to get you back to being annoyed.

"But when he breaks your heart and when he leaves you, I'm the one that's going to be here comforting you, Y/N. Don't forget that."

"I will never hurt your daughter, ma'am," Jungkook speaks up. "Y/N means so much to me and I've never felt this way about anyone."

"Yeah," Lana chuckles bitterly. "That's what they all say."

Looking at you once more, Lana leaves you and Jungkook alone once again on the cliff. You close your eyes for a brief moment and sigh.

"I'm sorry, Jungkook," You turn to him. "She's such a bitch to you and I hate it. I don't see why she can't just accept that I'm with you."

"Y/N, it's okay," His hands come up to cup your cheeks. "Your mother has a reason to think very low of me, but I won't let it affect me. I know how I feel about you and I know that I love you and your mother hating me won't change that."

Your eyebrows slightly raise and your mouth drops open, "You what?"

"N-Nothing." He bites his lip nervously.

"Say it again, Jungkook." You whisper.

Jungkook slowly lets out a smile, "I, Jeon Jungkook, love Y/N. I'm deeply in love with her."

You scrunch your nose at the sound of those words and smile.

"I love you, Jungkook."

Lana walks down the dark woods, hands swapping at her legs because of mosquitoes. Her eyes widen when she reaches the portico she's been looking for.

Her feet lead her up the steps and to the huge doors. She grabs the snake knocker on the door and bangs it against it. The door opens, the dark foyer coming into view.

"I've been awaiting you." A voice says.

"How did you–"

"I always know when someone plans to visit me," The voice speaks.

From behind the dark, a person comes into light as they walk over to her and Lana grows afraid.

"What do you need, Lana?"

Lana stares at the woman in front of her, the snakes in her hair hissing at her.

"Medusa," She speaks up. "Can you kill the son of a God?"

OKAY but did you know Medusa was Athena's priestess and since Athena was depicted a virgin goddess, Medusa had to stay a virgin as well.

But Medusa caught Poseidon's eye and he raped her, breaking the vow of chastity in service to Athena. When Athena found out, she cursed Medusa.

This isn't how it's gonna go in this story, but when I read that I was like.......
