It doesn't take long for Jungkook to come in running, your mom a few steps behind. You stand up from your bed and your mother runs towards you, pulling you into a hug.
"Y/N," She hugs you tightly. "I'm so glad you're okay." She pulls away and kisses your cheek.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I'll leave you both." Jungkook says before exiting.
"Why didn't you tell me that he was my father," You finish. "You told me my father was dead."
"I didn't know how to tell you."
You roll your eyes, "I'm older, mom. I'm not five. I understand things now."
"It was still difficult to tell you."
You shake your head and sigh as you sit down on the bed. Your mother sits next to you.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you before, but you know now. Ask me anything and I promise I'll answer truthfully."
You think for a moment. I'm going to forget all of this once I leave anyway. Knowing the truth for a little won't hurt.
"Why did you hide him from me?"
"Apart from him being a god," Lana states the obvious. "I know you. I knew you were going to get curious and try looking for him."
"Why did he leave me?"
"I," Lana's eyes fill with sadness, "I don't know."
Her honest words hurt you and your mother notices.
"I'm sorry, Y/N." She apologizes again.
"Sorry won't change anything now," You scoff. "I still have to help save this stupid mountain."
"You have to what?"
"That's why I'm here. Not because he wanted to meet me, but because he needs me to save his home."
Lana chuckles in anger, "To hell you're not."
She stands up and storms out of your room. You quickly follow behind her in worry of someone seeing her.
"Mom, wait!"
Jungkook grabs your arm and stops you, "What's going on?"
"I think she wants to go talk to Poseidon."
"Shit." Jungkook mutters under his breath.
Almost as if she's been here before, your mother pounds against your father's office doors. Just as you and Jungkook reach her to pull her away, the doors open revealing Poseidon.
His facial expression shows everything he's feeling—shock, confusion, happiness?
"Lana–"
"Don't 'Lana' me!" She pushes past him and walks into his office, Jungkook and you entering too. "You took my daughter just to have her do your dirty work?!"
"This isn't how I expected our meeting again to go."
"And I didn't expect you to take my daughter away just to use her!"
"Should I go?" Jungkook whispers to you.
"Just wait for me outside please." You whisper back.
He nods and exits, closing the door behind him.
"Stop calling her your daughter!" Poseidon raises his voice. "She's my daughter too."
"Yeah?" Your mother laughs mockingly. "And what the hell have you done for her?!"
"Many things actually."
"Really? Because–"
"Can we just stop arguing!" You interrupt their quarrel.
Your parents shut up and look at you.
You look over at Poseidon, "You want me here because you're using me for something, okay? There's nothing more to it and you know that." You turn to Lana. "And mom, I know you may be feeling all these different emotions inside of you, but I have to do this. One because he's going to make me do it and if I don't he'll probably keep me here forever and two because I just want this to be over. So can we please just try to tolerate each other until this is over?"
Lana turns to Poseidon who's already looking at her. Her jaw tightens and she rolls her eyes childishly, "Fine."
"Okay."
"And my mom's staying as long as I do," You tell Poseidon.
"Okay. The room across from yours is open."
"And you won't get mad at Jungkook for bringing her here."
"I don't know about that one." You glare at him and he huffs in annoyance. "Okay."
"Good," You nod. "I'm glad this is settled."
Lana glances at Poseidon once more before exiting the room, but not before she grabs your wrist and pulls you with her. You exit and see Jungkook a few feet from you making you tug your arm away. Your mother turns back to you.
"Do you remember the way to my room?" She nods. "The room across from mine is where you're going to sleep. Can you wait for me there?"
Lana looks over at Jungkook and scoffs, "He better mean nothing to you, Y/N."
"He's just a friend... kind of. I don't even know him that well."
"Keep it that way," Lana orders in a serious tone. "I mean it."
She walks away and you watch her. Jungkook approaches you, snapping you out of your thoughts.
"How'd everything go?"
"Um," You blink a few times then look at him. "Alright. I got my mom to stay and you're not in trouble for bringing her here."
Jungkook exhales out a chuckle, "I was scared for a moment there. Even if no one told him, he'd still know it was me. It would only make sense because he'd know the other Olympian gods wouldn't bring her here."
"Yeah," You answer emotionless.
"Hey," Jungkook cups your cheeks. "Are you okay?"
"You really think that's an appropriate question to ask when you know everything that's going on?"
"No." Jungkook chuckles nervously and you give him a small smile.
"I'll be fine though. Just have to get this over with."
Jungkook's warm thumbs caress your soft cheeks and you close your eyes for a brief second, taking in the loving moment with a practical stranger
The office doors open and he pulls away immediately. Poseidon walks out and looks at the both of you.
"Let's go." You tell Jungkook.

Jungkook had told you how every Friday night the boys would go by the waterfall and make s'mores. Sometimes they'd get in or sometimes they'd just stay on land.
That night he had invited you to join. You accept since you had literally nothing else to do. So now you were on your way to the waterfall where Jungkook had taken you.
"Oh, shit!" Taehyung comments as he sees you. "Y/N's here!"
Jungkook turns his gaze to where Taehyung was looking and sees you. He slightly grins before biting his bottom lip.
A/N: like the gif at the beginning or whateva
"Yeah," Jungkook stands up and walks towards you. "I invited her."
"Good," Jin shrugs. "She's one of us."
"I wouldn't put it like that." You say.
"As much as you don't want it, it's the truth." Jimin adds.
"Alright guys let's just eat the s'mores." Jungkook interrupts.
Jungkook leads you to the seat beside him and you sit on the foldable chair. He hands you a stick and a marshmallow to poke at the end. You put the marshmallow into the flames and watch it roast.
You couldn't lie, the night was fun and you got to know the boys more. Their happy sides, Yoongi's mad side because of Taehyung, Namjoon's soft side because he always tries to be this strong guy, and Hoseok literally glowing because the fire went out and he needed to be the light.
You reach your bedroom door and turn around with a smile, "Tonight was fun. Thanks for inviting me."
"Yeah," Jungkook nods. "Anytime."
You turn to open your bedroom door, but Jungkook's words catch your attention.
"I've been meaning to ask you... I know it's quite soon, but would you–"
The door behind Jungkook opens and your mother walks out of her room.
"It's late, Y/N," She interrupts. "You should be getting ready for bed."
Jungkook turns back to you and a sad smile crosses his lips.
"I'll see you tomorrow."
Jungkook disappears in a second and you turn back to your mother.
"A friend, mom." You remind, annoyance in your tone.
"And I'm making sure it stays that way."
You scoff at you mother's childish actions, "Goodnight."
That night, you couldn't sleep. Jungkook's unfinished sentence was on your mind all night. It bothered you so much not to know, but you also weren't going to show up at his room at this time to find out.
—
"I can't believe I almost asked her out!" Jungkook paces back and forth.
"Yeah, dude. What the fuck is your problem?" Yoongi takes a bite of his powdered donut.
"Let him be, hyung," Hoseok says. "Is it really his fault he got feelings so soon?"
"I do not have feelings for her." Jungkook rejects the idea.
"He's right," Namjoon agrees. "I mean he's never liked any girl here and then a half mortal shows up and he likes her so soon? Doesn't make sense."
"It might be Jimin casting a spell on you." Taehyung suggests as a joke, but everyone takes it serious.
"Jimin!" Jungkook shouts in a whiny tone.
"I swear I did nothing!" Jimin raises his right hand up.
"I don't think this was Jimin's doing," Jin speaks. "If it was then you wouldn't be able to say you didn't like her. If anything you'd say you were madly in love with her. Sorry Kook, but these are your own feelings."
Jungkook finally sits down," So what do I do?"
"Distance yourself from her." Taehyung answers.
"Cause that always works." Yoongi mutters.
"Just try to ignore the feeling," Jin says. "I've read Y/N's mind all night. She's growing fond of all of us, but specially you."
"So there could be a chance of something." Jimin shrugs.
"Never," Jungkook scoffs. "Her mother hates me and her father isn't the biggest fan of me either since I brought his baby momma here."
"Well, damn." Yoongi chuckles.
"Can we stop talking about this?" Jungkook asks.
"Yeah. It's pretty late and tomorrow we start training," Namjoon stands up and stretches. "We should get some sleep."
The boys say goodbye then head to bed, leaving Jungkook drowning in his own thoughts and feelings.
