The Next Day :

I was writing in my notebook.
"Guess who needs someone to audition for the role of April Gardner ?!"
Millie exclaimed in enthusiasm as she ran into the place.
"Who ?"
I asked idiotically.

"The Duffers ! Oh my god, Adelle, they want you..!"
She exclaimed again, and this time, I was squealing in happiness.
I couldn't believe I get to work with the Duffers. With my best friends.

I hugged Millie so tightly, both of us squealing with happiness.
"Thanks so much, Millie !"
"You're welcome..! Also, you can come to the location at any time to audition."

She explained, and I nodded happily.

But I didn't exactly wait. Later that morning, I excused myself from set and went with Millie to meet the Duffers.
I picked up the script, and started to read it silently. I didn't speak much, probably because nobody noticed me.

April Gardner was Will Byers' love interest starting from season 3, and was Jane Hopper's best friend from Hawkins' lab. She had superpowers too. Like, mind reading, harming people with thoughts, and telekinesis. She was chill, unlike me.
(I know some of you came to the conclusion that Will Byers is gay, but just keep reading alright ?)

It was so fascinating that I could play the role and spend time with my friends. I loved spending time with friends, but I was always busy, so it was a golden chance.

I continued to read the script in silence. It was exactly 15 minutes till the Duffers open up the auditions, so it wasn't long. By the time I was called to audition, I was ready.

I walked slowly and shyly to the stage. I didn't exactly know what was I shy about, practically every teenager around here was my friend, because they were my co-stars once.
However there were other people like Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery and Dacre Montgomery. I didn't meet those lovely people officially, so I assumed I was shy about that.

Noah walked to the stage, and gave me a tight hug, followed by the others. And then then I heard Matt Duffer yell 'action ! '

Scene :

"Why are you here ?"
Eleven asked, a serious expression on her face.
"Relax, El. I'm here to help. Remember the old days ?"
Eleven gave April a small smile.
"Of course."

End scene :

"Excellent !"
Ross yelled, clapping his hands.
Honestly, it was just a small scene, but I didn't mind the attention.
"That was great, Adelle. Honestly. You should go home and rest, and we'll let you know if you get."

I nodded, saying goodbye to my friends.
Millie offered to take a walk back to the location with me, and I, of course, said yes.
We chatted randomly all the way back to set.
When we were in the 'Mess Hall' once again, I saw something weird. However, I didn't welcome it as weird, but the complete opposite, I was sort of delighted.

"Oh hi, Slappy. How are you doing today ?"
