"That meet and greet was the weirdest one I've ever had, and I've had plenty."
Jacob bragged, sitting down on a table, glancing at the other co-stars.
"Yeah. That..what was her name again ? Bonnie ? She was definitely weird."
I, of course, listened to their conversations as I wrote. What else do you expect me to do ? Nabil took my earpods. Not that I needed them anyway.

As usual, Jacob was bragging about being to so many meet and greets. One of the fans even kissed him.
Ew.
Just imagine it, you already have a soulmate, and a random person out of nowhere asks to kiss you because they want to. Just ew.

Everyone was so confused about the meet and greet. They asked me about my friendship with Bonnie, even my siblings.
"There is no friendship. I don't know her."
I kept saying, and no matter how much time I had to say that sentence over and over again, they insisted that I knew her.

I don't know what was so special about that topic anyway.
Barron didn't ask much. He bid his goodbye to me before he went to school that day. He kept telling his mother that he didn't want to go to school, and being the usual, committed person Melania is, she refused, saying that he already wasted so much time by going to Egypt and not attending school.

I guess he just didn't want to meet bullies like John again.

Anyway, I listened carefully to my cast's conversation, and I was surprised that they still talked about the meet and greet. After all, it all happened a few days ago.

My phone rang a few minutes later, jolting me into consciousness. The screen read the word Dad, and I got outside the location before frantically answering.

"Bonjour, papà."

..

Halfway through the phone call, I decided to just take a deep breath and ask him.
"Papà, are you cheating on mum ?"
I said in a low tone. There was a moment of silence on the other end, before I hear my dad's voice again.

"No, sweetie, I would never cheat on your mum."
He spoke softly.
"Then why didn't call at least once when we were all in Egypt ? You didn't come to visit us like last time even."

He sighed again.
"It was only work, sweetie. I'm just so busy, but I promise I'll make it up to you soon."
I was satisfied by that answer, and we hung up after a few minutes.

As I sat down on my table again, I saw Nabil walking towards me, holding some books between his hands.
"Hey, Adelle ? Have you been leaving those Goosebumps books around for me to read ?..-"

I didn't care about the rest of the sentence, and I stood up again, taking a good look at the books.
"Oh my god ! It really is Goosebumps books. I can't believe you actually found those."

I said as I hugged him tighter than ever.
He seemed so confused as he hugged me back.
