"ooh, did he get cuter ?"
Allison asked, messing Ziad's hair gently.
Since when she's interested in kids ?
Everyone was admiring him, even me. Can you blame me ? He was just too cute.

But, he looked confused. I'm guessing because he never saw Barron, Rajwan, nor Nabil before. Or, he must've thought we're kidnapping him, who knows ?
"should we head to your set now ?"
Nabil asked.

I remembered that Nabil didn't get the chance to see Notre Dame fully, so I nodded.
"shouldn't we drop Ziad at his apartment first ?"
Allison asked.
"no. Mum said to babysit him for a few hours, but she also said to get him something to eat. Because, you know, kids want to eat all the time."

They nodded, and we stopped in front of a snack shop to buy him a cake or something.
"we're kind of late."
I sighed.
"I know. Don't make me nervous now, Rajwan."
He nodded, and kept quiet. I let out my phone, and texted someone.

"what are you doing ?"
Barron asked softly.
"texting Pamela. That lady was acting strange all morning and I have no idea why."
I explained.
"but aren't we going there now ?"

Nabil asked in confusion.
"yeah. I just told her that she owns me an explanation, because if I told her directly she would only stall and change the subject."
They nodded in agreement.

When our limo pulled in front of Notre Dame's back gates, we got out of the car, and entered. The familiar darkness welcomed me as we walked towards the French Section's yard.

I felt depressed. I don't know why, but it always happens when I enter Notre Dame, probably because of everything that happened around.
"welcome to our old school. Please leave your money here and don't come back to look for it. Actually, you might never get out of here so don't bother."

The others chuckled at Allison's sarcastic tone, but I just gave her a look. Not funny, because it was true.
"calm down Adelle, I'm just lightening up the mood, you know ?"
Allison said when she noticed that I didn't laugh.
"don't scare him."
I warned, motioning to Ziad. She rolled her eyes.

As we stopped in front of the huge, three stories building, I remembered something.
Not the right expression, I meant I saw something in front of my eyes.
Fire.
It was a part of my vision, but as usual, it wasn't real. My brain was just reminding me that it was going to happen sooner or later.
Just lovely.

"it's kinda creepy."
Nabil remarked.
"yeah. As far as I remember."
Barron said, since he also didn't go to the set since he arrived.

"aww, who's this cutie ?"
Jade said as she ran towards us.
"that's our second cousin."
Allison spoke.
"he's so cute !"
She said as she squeezed his cheeks gently.
I know Ziad is cute, but she's acting like she never saw kids in her life.

Just then, I saw Finn walking towards us, his expression unreadable.
"Hey, Adelle ? A word please ?"
He said, and I nodded, looking at Barron. So he won't think I was cheating on him with Finn or something, but, like I said before, the sweetheart has good intention.

"okay, Finn.."
